There are a couple parking spots available via the adjacent alleyway, but your best bet is local street parking, using the deck right next door, or riding in on your bike (they have a sturdy rack out back). They accept both cash and cards for payment, and you are able to enter directly from Roosevelt or through the entrance in the rear through the alley.
Dialog is by far my favorite spot for coffee in the downtown area and I’m fairly certain I get about 60% of my work done there. The staff is friendly and trained to dial in the coffee each day to ensure their espresso drinks are on point, which I very much appreciate. The management is great and always brainstorming new events and offerings to maintain Dialog’s position in the city as not only a coffee shop but a place for artists and locals to gather and imbibe.
In addition to serving up delicious coffee, Dialog hosts local events, serves small plates (i.e., burritos, cheese plates, Japanese milk bread, etc.), sells novel gifts and books, has a stock of delicious non-alcoholic options, and is your plug for unique home decor. They also sell clothing from local artist Sidewalk Chalk!
As someone who has been working remotely in coffee shops for a while, there are a couple important callouts for my people:
- Outlets are pretty scarce, so if you need power, you will need to be situated in the right spot
- There is an indoor lobby right outside the shop that is perfect for stepping out into for taking virtual meetings or phone calls
- Heads up that there is sometimes a DJ on Thurs/Fri who plays music a little louder than normal
- Since I use a hotspot, I am unable to attest to their WiFi strength, however I have never heard anyone complain about it
All-in-all, the vibe is always on point, and I appreciate everything that Dialog does/offers for coffee shop addicts and remote workers like me and for the local community. I highly recommend stopping by!
