For a Dick's location, the food was spot on! This wasn't my favorite location though. It was nice there was parking, but there are lots of people moving throughout the parking lot so you have to be a little careful. The bathroom was a little bit of a disaster but grateful there was one. The room was just this big space. It was nice there was seating around the outside facing the windows, but the middle was like a big dance floor? Not sure what they do there. Staff was amazingly nice and super quick!

I was the first person to get there by accident, and was several minutes ahead of time. However, this gave me plenty of time to decide what I wanted. The menu is limited, but don't underestimate it. What they do is pure quality, and what they have is amazing! Everything is handcrafted and hand scooped. Fresh ingredients, kind and courteous staff, and a retro (which is all original!) look and vibes that really makes the place an experience. As soon as I got my order, I turned around to see four more people forming a line behind me, and that was only 3 minutes after opening! By the time I'd consumed my absolutely delicious burger, fries, and shake, there was a line wrapping around the corner and into the parking lot! The burger and fries were unlike anything I'd tasted anywhere else. The meat was tender and juicy, and like the fries, fried in sunflower oil. This changed the way I cook my own! The fries were hot and extra crispy, which is perfect for me! The chocolate milkshake (there are several flavors to choose from) was also perfectly thick and made of real dairy. One of the best parts of the experience was seeing strangers talk and laugh with each other while they waited their turn. I hung around people watch for about 20 minutes, and I was amazed at how fast the line moved. I can't recommend this place enough!

Google
We came here for dinner and it was probably the cheapest meal that we had in Seattle. I ordered a plain cheeseburger with fries. My partner got the deluxe with fries. We also ordered a root beer float to share. I do appreciate that they charge a little less for the plain versions of their burgers. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the area, and the food tasted really good! It is very greasy, which is what I was expecting. The inside area is interesting- there is seating around the perimeter of the room but the inside looked like it was standing room only. The walls had some iconic Seattle landmarks, like the stadiums, the Space Needle, and the monorail. The service was very quick! I definitely would come back here.

Google
The deluxe cheeseburger was alright but nothing special. The fries were decent too, but aren't anything special. The huckleberry ice cream and the strawberry shake was pretty good though. Overall, it's overrated and I wouldn't go out of my way to go back again.

Classic Seattle drive-in—fast, friendly, and full of nostalgia! 🍔 What Makes It Great: • Simple, timeless menu: Burgers, hand-cut fries, and creamy shakes—the essentials done right. Locals love the deluxe burger with its sweet, pickle-mayo sauce and gooey American cheese . • Freshness & speed: Food is prepared quickly and served hot. Fries are crispy when fresh, although consistency can vary (). • Affordable & community-driven: Maintains fair pricing and strong local roots since 1954, with employee benefits and community engagement (). • Iconic Seattle charm: The retro drive-in vibe, neighborhood locations, and cultural presence (Macklemore video, local weddings) make it more than just a burger joint . ⸻ ⚠️ What to Keep in Mind: • Burger and fry inconsistency: Patties can be slightly dry or bland, and fries sometimes arrive soggy if not freshly made . • Crowded at peak times: Popularity means long lines during lunch, evenings, and late-night, especially at Capitol Hill and Wallingford (). • Basic experience: Don’t expect gourmet—there’s no seating in most locations, and the menu remains intentionally minimal. ⸻ 💡 Tips & Recommendations: • Go early or during off-peak hours for the crispiest fries. • Order the Dick’s Deluxe—the signature sauce and cheese lift the burger experience. • Treat yourself to a strawberry or chocolate shake—it’s consistently praised for nostalgia and taste . ⸻ Final Verdict: Dick’s Drive-In scores a solid 4 stars—a beloved Seattle institution that delivers fast, friendly service and classic comfort food with rich local heritage. It’s a nostalgic must-visit, even if the burgers and fries can sometimes be hit-or-miss. Plan smart, embrace the vibe, and enjoy a bit of Seattle history in every bite.

If you are used to eating super delicious, quality made burgers this is NOT the place for you. The menu is limited and you CANNOT customize your burger AT ALL. Want to add cheese to a burger you picked "Sorry they already come made that way we can't change it" Remove pickles from your burger "Sorry they already come made and we can't change it" Add bacon "Sorry we don't carry bacon" My family and were starving so we ordered what we could and ate. Lemonade not good Fries not good Burger was OK patties are super flat and dry. Can't know if a place is for you until you try it. We tried it and once was enough for us.

Google
Iconic Seattle spot but average overall. You'll visit, take the photo and sing Posse on Broadway. It's a tasteless burger that may have been acceptable in the early 90's but by today's standards, seasoning would be recommended. I was really hungry and excited and my taste buds were disappointed.

Google
I recently visited Dick’s Drive-In and ordered the Deluxe Burger, Special Burger, and a side of fries, and I absolutely loved it. The Deluxe Burger was stacked with perfectly cooked, juicy patties, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and a delicious sauce that brought everything together. The Special Burger was just as satisfying, with its own unique combination of flavors that made it stand out. Both burgers were made with simple, high-quality ingredients, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just how fries should be. They had the perfect amount of salt, and I found myself finishing them in no time. What really impressed me was how quickly my order came out, and the whole experience felt so authentic. The atmosphere at Dick’s is casual and fun, with an old-school drive-in vibe that makes it a cool spot for a quick, tasty meal. The staff were friendly, and the service was fast. If you’re in the mood for a great burger and fries, this is the place to go. Dick’s Drive-In is definitely a must visit for burger lovers, everything I ordered hit the spot! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Okay, why did people rate dicks 1 star? The fries don't look good, but they taste amazing. The burgers are the best on the planet. Everything is affordable. WTF people.

Yelp
Dicks burgers are perfect after a night out on the town to drink your feelings to the bottle of sour mash whiskey while fighting space cowboys in the world of tech. Whomever the done deaf douche canoe is who came here with three stars needs to go find his or her-self a vegan cage free soy burger somewhere else. Dicks is an institution of delicious cholesterol flavored cheese burgers and well paid staff. Seriously these employees seems to always be happy or maybe the smell of all this delights them to push through the pain of hours on their feet. Dicks is old school good burgers and I guess I will have to keep coming back to remind the children what a great burger is. Three triple cheese burgers with chilli and a side of tater tots for the win.

Yelp
Whenever I need a late-night meal in Seattle, I know I have to go to Dick's Drive-In! On my most recent visit, we stopped by here just past midnight coming back to Seattle from a long road trip. It was still packed with hungry customers! I ordered the Deluxe Burger and fries. The prices are super cheap, only 8$ (at the time of this review) for the burger + fries. The burger isn't made to order, it's already wrapped up in its shiny McDonald's-esque aluminum wrapper when you order. The deluxe comes with two patties, cheese, lettuce, mayo, and pickle relish. If I'm being honest, the burger reminds me a lot like a nostalgic McDonald's cheeseburger -- the bun is kind of soggy from steaming in it's wrapper, and the patty is rubbery and not that flavorful. I do like the flavor of the pickle relish and sauce, as well as adding raw chopped onions (+20 cents) for that extra bite. The fries are super limp, but I actually like them. They're well-salted and have a delicious distinct potato flavor. Be sure to get an extra side of tartar sauce to dip the fries in for that Pacific Northwest experience! Sorry Seattleites, Dick's Drive-In doesn't hold a candle to In-N-Out in terms of burger quality, but I think it's amazing for what it is: cheap but decent fast-food burgers and fries that's open late at night when you most need it.

Yelp
What a great spot for a quick bite! Their burgers are delicious and their service is super fast! I'll be going back again before I leave the area!

Yelp
Dick's Drive-In is a Seattle burger institution, with good fast burgers. They have a simple menu with a choice of burgers, fries, drinks and ice cream. The burgers are simple and straightforward. The fries are not crispy but taste good. They only had seating around by the window, no tables. I do like it for a fast and affordable meal

Yelp
This was the highlight of my Bite of Seattle tour this year - ended the day with the Dicks Deluxe and fries!

Yelp
I finally tried Dick's. Starving on 11 PM on a Thursday night. Was about $3 for a cheeseburger. It was strangely incredible - soft spongey bun with thin flavorful salty patty and melty savoury American cheese. Small, like almost slider size. Fries were limp and salty, obviously made with real potatoes. Burgers are just sitting on a heater so they give it to you right away. The layout was very peculiar, a lot of open space with chairs on the periphery.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Cheeseburger: Simple and not bad for the price, but nothing special. French Fries: You get a good amount of fries for the price. The burgers and fries are constantly being made, so it took less than a minute to receive my food after ordering. There is a good amount of indoor seating via window-side booth seats.
google avatar

Jill H.

Yelp
Great Dicks deluxe and those french fries, limp but oh so yummy. Great chocolate shake. Felt like a celebrity sitting along the window. Best people watching ever.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a workin Dick's. You're not gonna get tables and chairs in the dining room except for the bar top along the windows because they need that room for big lineups after the hockey games and concerts in this Queen Anne area. What they lack for an ambience and atmosphere is still there in the great service and the delicious simple burgers. I paid extra for onions this time because I had never done it before and they tasted old and not that great. Didn't really eat them. The ketchup was worth it for dipping those fries into And man, the deluxe burger is just pretty dang delicious. Couldn't imagine putting a shake on top of it, but I did notice that they were a small sensible size perfect for pairing with this meal. I grabbed this meal before I went to SIFF cinema across the street, it had been after many years. Glad I check back in.

Yelp
Such a staple of Seattle! I always stop by when I'm in town. Easy and simple, you walk up to the counter and order them the staff will get your order together and by the time you pay, it's done! Such affordable prices and freshly cooked food, win win! There are no tables but counter seating all around the space so you'll be looking out the windows as you enjoy your Dick's :-)
google avatar

Belldandy O.

Yelp
I haven't been to this Dick's since pre-pandemic and was sad that there was no seating available inside like there once was. We didn't order anything crazy and was able to still eat our burgers and fries inside. We just had to stand by the window where they have little ledges available to place your food. All in all, it was a good experience. Good customer service, fast turnaround time from ordering to receiving our order, and not busy. It's a convenient place to grab something cheap and fast in the Queen Anne area. It is right outside the Climate Pledge Areana.
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
Dick's is a Seattle staple! You'll often find crowds lining up at Dick's after a night out in Capitol Hill or after an event at Climate Pledge Arena at this location in Lower Queen Anne. I ordered the Dicks deluxe ($5.30) and the side of fries ($2.80). They premake their burgers and leave them wrapped and warm, but the steam softens the burger and melts the cheese into deliciousness. The fries are not crispy but they are well-seasoned and don't even need ketchup. This location is open late so you'll often find long crowds here after an event at the nearby venue. The lines to order can be a little confusing because there are two counters and during busy times the lines will go to the back of the store and curl. There are no places to sit down and eat but there are counters around the exterior of the store to stand.

Maribel R.

Yelp
Items are ordered a la carte. The fries look soggy and a bit burnt but are edible. The burgers are small and there's a sweetness to it, it may be the pickle or sauce. Is it terrible ? No Is it good? Also no but it's enough for a quick meal if you are in the area Service was polite and fast. Seating are tables along the windows w high chairs.
google avatar

Mary G.

Yelp
First time trying this spot, Simple and satisfying and great price for a burger, fries and a drink.
google avatar

Les R.

Yelp
Food is ok. Nothing spectacular at all and reminded me of McDonalds cheeseburger but a slightly better quality. Service is super fast and not customization and food is made in advance and continuously and is ready to go. Any add-ons are on the side. It's a nice size location but there is no indoor seating just a massive open space that you could do some ballroom dancing in. Along the windows there is a rail you can place your food on to eat.
google avatar

Kristen A.

Yelp
You're better off going to a McDonald's, at least they have a place to sit. Also they charge 20 cents for ketchup which is just strange to me Cheeseburger patty was thin and salty, I actually think the pile of cheese on top was thicker. Bun was covered in grease and my husbands deluxe was equally disappointing. I'll give them points for how quickly they get the food out. I didn't love watching my cashier use his bare hands all over the lid on our milk shakes though. The shakes taste like they came straight from McDonald's too.
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
Classic, cheap, friendly neighborhood burger joint! No frills. In fact, no tables either. They did away with booths and tables in the center of the restaurant, and its alot less to clean it would seem. Prices are all under $5, and you can add onions, mustard, and ketchup. There is something special about a walkable burger spot that can fill you up for under $10.
google avatar

Kaori T.

Yelp
Maybe because it's a novelty for me, but I love Dicks! A simple burger that's soooo quick to order, and really nice cut and tasty fries. Don't be too worried about the line, it goes really fast - because everything is made ahead of time, and they are very efficient in getting your food quick. The one thing that I don't like is they charge extra for the tiniest things, however nothing is customizable but that makes for such rapid service. Very efficient workers, an old school vibe of burgers, shakes, and fries. This would be the Pacific Northwest's version of In and Out, in my opinion, but I actually like Dick's better. Probably because I can't get it nearly as often! Just thinking of one of their burgers, makes my mouth water!
google avatar

Yelp
The last time I have been in this location was YEARS ago when I was a teenager. It definitely looks much different since the last time I have been here. Visited late night on a Friday after a concert and it was jam packed. Two lines formed at either side of the entrance. There used to be a ton of seating available around the restaurant, but now there is limited seating along the edges of the restaurant where you can stand and eat or sit and eat... thats if you can find a chair. With so many people, it took about 30 minutes to get to the cashier and thankfully it only took a quick 2 minutes to order and get our food. Dick's burgers are the same no matter the location. Still great to me no matter where. Same with their milkshakes, still smooth and thick no matter the location. Overall, an interesting location and would probably visit again after a Kraken game or after another concert.
google avatar

Nooshi B.

Yelp
Average across the board. My brother raves about this place and said it was a must visit while in Seattle. Inside is bare bones, but I'll say the service was super friendly and the bathrooms were very clean given the needle storage containers propped against the wall. We got the cheeseburger and fries. Tasted like a McDonalds cheeseburger, which was fine. The fries were okay; mushy but still has a slight crisp and nice saltiness to them. I wouldn't come back, but definitely worth one visit.
google avatar

Mari C.

Yelp
This place had been hyped up to me for so long so I was finally able to try it. Stopped by here around midnight on friday and was surprised to see a long line. There isn't many seats to sit but we were lucky to find a few spots open. I ordered their cheeseburger, fried and a chocolate milkshake. Their cheeseburger is nothing special and pretty dry. Looks exactly like a mcdonald's one. Fries were dry too and oily. The milkshake was very liquidy and i prefer mine to be on the thicker side. I was disappointed but honestly for the price it makes sense. I'd only come back if I was really hungry and nothing else around was open. Food: 4/10 Service: 7/10
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
Both burgers were a bit cold and flat. Taste was okay and not amazing or anything. However, the price is pretty cheap so it's great for a quick cheap meal on the go. Service was really fast, I got my burger right away when I ordered them to go.

Speedster O.

Yelp
Red headed cashier in a blue Dick's jacket, wearing a light blue bandana head scarf was rude today. She ignored that I was waiting patiently in line behind who she was helping for 4 minutes then walked way. She proceeded to wipe the counters and only offered helped those who were white. I sure hope she isn't a racist. Next cashier over who ended up helping me tried her best to make excuses for her behavior. This is unacceptable!
google avatar

Marcus S.

Yelp
Stopped in this Dicks to double dip on the $0.19 burger day after the latest Yelp event for some burgers. In my party of 4 I proudly exclaimed "I got this", as I stepped up to the counter and order 4 cheeseburgers, and two orders of fries. The Dicks order taker stopped me and said, "sorry one per customer. " I gestured to my crew behind me and he quickly changed to "oh my apologies! " and quickly went over to get the burgers. Came to a little lest than $3.50. They were wrapped up tight and nice and hot. Even better than the previous $0.19 visit I made a couple days ago at Dicks Wallingford. The fries taste fine but some were a bit limpy is my only gripe. Also how they charge you for ketchup. $0.20, it's even more than the burgers on $0.19 burger day! C'mon! They handled the crowd here well and this Dicks has a slight advantage over the others as it is indoors, perhaps the only indoor Dicks, so if it's cold out, it's more appealing.

Yelp
Every one in Seattle said i had to get Dick's into my mouth. It is highly reviewed and you can see pics of Bill Gates standing in line waiting for Dick's. Naturally, I suppose, I wanted to know what Dick's taste like. Was surprised when there were huge lines and that the restaurant was just a big empty room with people all waiting to eat Dick's. For that huge throng, there was only one tiny bathroom with one singular urinal and a hugely oversized accessible toilet. Wild. It was late like near midnight and it was rush hour of people wanting Dick's. The burger is simple and small and the fries are overflowing but you don't get ketchup unless you knew you had to pay extra for that. I came to see what the fuss was about to have Dick's in my mouth and when I got it in my mouth I ate it and it was all done super quick. You can eat most burgers everywhere and they aren't as good as the taste of Dicks. True story I discovered in Seattle. They had a small counter around the edge of the room if folk Jonesing for Dicks and we stood while we consumed them. My friend loved the vanilla shake. You'd think by the size of the Crowd that it'd take long but the lines went quickly - the staff was blazing and made sure you didn't need to wait long for the Dicks you came for. It's not the best burger ever but few burgers get there and the small size making it easier to much, makes Dick's sizes a feature. Bigger isn't always better. Don't know all the place you can find Dick's but they all seem to be downtown locations. Came to love Dick's.
google avatar

Akanksha G.

Yelp
Great place for some yummy fast food! I'd only had Dick's at drive ins that weren't as close, and I'm so glad to have found this spot. Situated so close to the Seattle Center, it's incredibly easy to pop by for a meal while visiting the area! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and service is insanely fast. I usually get the fries and a chocolate shake, and neither have ever disappointed. The fries are soft, flavorful, and piping hot! The shake is creamy, sweet without being overbearing, and incredibly delicious. If you're adventurous, try dipping the fries in the shake - they are the perfect combo. I absolutely love this spot and will keep coming back!

Yelp
someone said when you go to Seattle, you need to go and eat a bag of dicks. That's what they told me word by word so here I am at dicks drive-in, ordering a bag of dicks.... always like to come in to the spots things that just cookie-cutter out the same items that they've been doing for years and years and years and they do it their way and they do it well I will say prices got more and more each year which is disappointing for places like this that used to have the nostalgic prices and items, but the world is getting bigger and things are getting more expensive . we grabbed a few of everything, french fries, good cheeseburgers, good and odd, but you do pay for each condiment separate... I will tell anybody please come here and support these places because they're dying out and they need to have room in out Amazon.com delivery society!! Yummers
google avatar

Darrion H.

Yelp
My 200th review. I feel blessed I somehow managed it to be dicks. It's hard not to love this place. I've been to all the locations and I can't say the food is better here than at the others, but I can say this actual location is better. It's something about the interior that makes it stand out. I feel like I bump into old friends on every visit. Always a great vibe. It's dicks. Cheap and fast burgers. Pretty low on the quality scale, but not the worse. Pretty high on the fast easy and cheap scale. Idk how many times this place has saved the day after bad budgeting. Sucks you have to pay for the ketchup and other condiments, but when you factor in the price, it works out well. When I get onions there is always enough to split between my food. Did I mention it's cheeeaaap. The price has increased over the years. Now the deluxe is pretty expensive for a dicks burger but everything else is very fair priced. A must visit when in town. I remember years of going out of my way when visiting Seattle just to get food from this place.

Yelp
Landing in Seattle at 1am, I was worried there wouldn't be any food options available other than the usual Jack in the box. My friend recommended this place, claiming it's a Seattle staple. After picking up the rental, we rushed our way over here. We made it at 1:58am!! There were two cars leaving the parking lot and we were so scared we were too late. Our other friend got out of the car to check while we parked. We were the last ones for the night, and luckily they were willing to serve us still. The restaurant was cute! Felt like a very classic diner. We got two deluxe burgers, fries, sodas and ice cream. I ordered a shake but I didn't get it. Honestly it's okay!! I'm just grateful to have food after a long journey here. Everyone was soooo nice. Thank you so much for helping us tonight!! You guys are amazing!! :)
google avatar

Adela G.

Yelp
They have nothing but beef patties (no chicken). The prices are really good however you pay for the quality you receive. The burger I could go without but after a late night it's not a bad spot to grab a cheap eat.
google avatar

George R.

Yelp
Literally straight trash, the biggest gut bomb in Seattle. People like it because of the prices. But you literally have to be drunk to even moderately enjoy this elementary school burger. The 3 locations I've been to have rats, it's disgusting but the locals don't seem to mind... you can't customize anything here. The burger are below mid and the fries are the greasiest floppy spuds I've ever had. You have to pay for condiments and for the longest they only took cash. The only good things they have is the scoops of generic ice cream... this place is a joke and is literally guaranteed diarrhea
google avatar

Gillian A.

Yelp
Me: okay I'm done eating the fries cuz I ate so much of them already. Me 15 seconds later: .....*eats more of them* Mindless eating of the fries for me.....I like 'em. They kinda remind me of Five Guys fries except less greasy and without the Cajun seasoning. The chocolate shake tastes just like the In-N-Out one but actually drinkable right upon receiving it (sometimes In-N-Out shakes are way too thick). Standard chocolate shake but hits the shake craving. The cheeseburger is like the one at McDonald's.....pretty indifferent about it tbh. Overall a melting pot of different burger spots I suppose lol. Pretty cheap prices to note! Simple and straightforward menu. I can see why it's a Seattlelite's go-to when it comes to fast food.
google avatar

Grissette V.

Yelp
Found this place while visiting Seattle. Never been to a fast food restaurant that charges extra for ketchup. The food was okay but yet a little on the greasy side. Place has limited seating however it was like a bar style which was unusual for a burger joint. Not sure if I would come back here.
google avatar

Paul D.

Yelp
The food is good but it is incredibly disappointing that now 3 years after Covid they have not restored more indoor seating. One used to be able to eat at a table and have food on a tray. I have seen photos of trays in the pics here even recently but I did not see any when I visited on Saturday night. Our food came automatically in a bag even though we wanted to eat on the premises. The only seating is high stool seating along the side. That is far less hospitable and more difficult for people with young kids or old folks. It is a shame that so many fast food places, even locally owned ones, refuse to offer significant in-store seating post-Covid. It is clearly done out of laziness and a desire to offload the cleaning responsibilities. It probably increases litter as well. Putting everything in a bag rather than offering trays increases landfill waste.

John B.

Yelp
I love Dicks! We visited the QA location a week ago and our food was excellent! We ordered a couple of Deluxe's, fries, onions, tartar and ketchup. We washed them down with hand dipped Root Beer Floats!

Yelp
Knew this spot was a must when we were in town, and it lived up to our expectations. We walked on over after a concert and it seemed like everyone else had too. The line was out the door and there were people everywhere. At one point they closed down one side of the doors and made it to where there was only one point of entry with security. We waited about 30 mins in line. The menu is simple which make it easy to order. The employee was friendly amidst all the chaos that was going on. We ordered easy stuff and so we receievd our order right away. Walked on back to our hotel room and dug in. The burger was good. It had flavor and it was really juicy. A little bit too juicy with all the juice that was dripping down my mouth ;) The fries weren't my favorite, too greasy for my liking and they were too soggy. The shake was greaaaaat. If you in the area definitely check this diner out. The food is good and you don't want to miss out! Oh and a definite plus for staying open SOOO late!

Yelp
The prices were cheap but the food was also cheap. Not made to order, if you want something quick and affordable, go for it!

Yelp
I guess I was expecting it to be better considering all the hype around this place. The menu is very straight forward. Surprised to see no tomatoes on any of the burgers but I was okay with out them because usually I'm not a fan. The inside has no tables whatsoever its mainly for the long lines. There are standing places that wraps around the walls for you to stand and eat your food though. I ended up getting a deluxe burger, fries and strawberry milkshake. Shake was 10/10 loved the thickness of it and strawberry flavor wasn't too sweet Fries 3/10 they were too soggy and limp for being made fresh. I like my fries to be crispy or at least have most of its shape. Deluxe burger 6/10- It wasn't bad but it wasn't like omgggg It reminded me of In N out but not as great. I did like that the burger wasn't drenched and soggy like how In N outs usually is. The bun was good. Patties were a little on the smaller side. I felt like although it was cheese, Mayo and pickles there was like some honey taste to it. Or so I thought. Overall wasn't a bad burger. Definitely had In N out vibes. Place was pretty packed when I was there, line moved quick and you legit ordered and food was handed to you right then and there. If I came I'd probably come for their shakes.

Yelp
For a fast food restaurant, we love Dick's burgers. They're exactly what they are and always the same without variation. The bun is never soggy. The meat is never gritty or weird textured, and there is enough cheese on the burger. The service is fast, it's clean inside, and the workers get paid a good wage. The burgers are also reasonably priced (between$3-$5). Fries are a La cart, but I don't like fries, so I don't ever get them. I highly recommend stopping here!

Yelp
It was so fun for me to yell at my cousin to "Eat a Dick ! " I've been to Dick's in Kent a few times and decided to stop in with my favorite cousin at this Queen Anne Dick's location which is conveniently located across the street from the SIFF uptown cinema where we went to attend a movie premiere hosted by Yelp for the Yelp Elites. The set up at this location is definitely a bit different from Kent as people stand outside in line for their orders in Kent, this Seattle location has a building you go into ... it's a bit of an odd set up when you get in there as there's like a counter around the back of the building that you can set your dicks on and eat 'em but you'll be standing up eating. No chairs or stools to be found here which I guess works, they are pretty small burgers so it's not like you'd be spending that much time there eating anyways but it still looks strange to me. It was pretty busy and there were a couple shady looking characters in the crowd but overall the line went fast and we didn't run into any issues. The person who took our order was very pleasant and he fulfilled our order fast. Our strawberry and chocolate ice cream concoctions were a nice cool treat and we both got a deluxe dick because if you're gonna eat a dick it may as well be deluxe, right? The burgers were good.. on the smaller side, think White Castle size but a bit bigger if you go for the deluxe. One thing I really would have liked to have seen is an option to add sliced tomato as they don't have tomatoes at all. I mean Tomatoes .. what can't they do? Vote? drive? I don't know but I for one love them ! Anyways, just come check it out and get yourself a BIG bag of Dick's, you deserve it !

Yelp
Absolutely not, never again! I'm being nice by giving two stars. Visiting Seattle for the first time and had a local resident give us a tour of the city. Because we didn't know what food Seattle is known for as far as good food, we took our host's recommendation as a "great burger spot". After walking around all day, we really wanted to sit down for a meal. We just needed a small bite to get us through to dinner, so didn't plan to be stuffed after lunch. We drove across town to this restaurant location specifically because it was in a building that looked like (he said) was the only Dick's restaurant that had seating. So disappointed to walk in and it was all standing room. There are counters around the perimeter to stand and eat your meal. Not even stools. No outside seating either. All of the sandwiches are made with no exception!!! Can't order cheese on a special burger. Can't take lettuce off a deluxe burger...You have to take it exactly as it's described on the menu, no exceptions! Condiments are extra cost $0.20 for 1 packet of ketchup. Any other add on is for cost, onions, pickles, Mayo, mustard or ketchup. Not sure what it so special about Dick's, I was expecting something extra unique about the burgers, like In n Out, The Habit or any other burger place that tries to differentiate themselves from a basic burger. Dick's was so bad, worse than a McDonald's burger. The fries were very greasy and soggy. Would not recommend this place at all!!

Yelp
This is like a different version of in n out burgers in that it's no nonsense. No tables either nor drink refills. Sugar tax on non diet drinks. No seats since COVID. They charge 20 cents per ketchup packet. Big one loved it though! It's a seattle landmark. Lots of perks for employees working here. They definitely make the customers pay for it.

Yelp
Having lived in California for the last 4 years before moving to Seattle, I was hoping that In N Out existed here. Dick's is a close second. Incredibly gratifying after a night out or after a long camping trip of unperishables or just for a quick pick-me-up in the middle of the day. But not as good as In N Out.

Yelp
Great service, order was given to me almost immediately after paying. Burger seemed similar to McDonald's, quick cheap meal. Fries were a bit soggy but tasted good. I thought the fries tasted similar to Five Guys fries. Condiments are charged extra, had to pay $0.20 for a small container of ketchup for the fries. Chocolate milkshake was great!

Yelp
I have heard great things about this place and how it's a Seattle staple so I was excited to try it. It did not disappoint!! Cheap food, good quality, great customer service, and maximum efficiency. I went several times over my visit and looked forward to it every time. Can't wait to get more when I come back. This is a great spot if you are hungry and nearby the Seattle Center and want a filling meal for cheap, which is not easy to find in Seattle. It was a hamburger and met my expectations, what more could you ask! The strawberry milkshake was top notch as well.

Yelp
You won't find a burger place that's faster and cheaper than Dicks. Is it the best burger you'll ever have? Absolutely not. But you don't come to Dicks for quality and fresh food; you come here because you're broke, it's 11pm, your fridge is empty, and you can smell their greasy fries two blocks away. Truly an institution that represents Seattle to its very core.
