Food was fresh and delicious. Tried the new brisket bowl and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness. Staff was kind and accommodating. They even held on to my AirPods since I forgot them at the register when I checked out.

Google
I love this place. The food was really good. The crispy thigh and Mac and cheese with brown rice was excellent. The sweet potatoes were good too. Check out their menu, they have vegan options.

Google
Amazing food. Easy ordering in the app, tasty options, one of my favorite new places in center city. Still semi-healthy if you want a break from salads. Overall I'm a big fan, will definitely be back.

Google
I had the classic bowl with couscous, apple kale salad, sweet potatoes and crispy chicken. Topped with hot honey sauce and a garlic aioli on the side. Delicious 😋! First time eating here, but won’t be my last!!!

DIG at 1616 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia is an excellent place to dine-in or take-out. The staff are very friendly and prepares your order very quickly. Let’s NOT TALK about their delicious food! YUMMY! Thanks and see you soon.

Google
I really enjoy Dig! They're a really convenient and consistent option for "fast-cas" in Center City that offers a good amount of variety when it comes to spices and sauces. Straightforward concept: pick your base + protien + toppings and sauce OR choose one of their menu options. I usually go in later at night between 8 PM to 10 PM and the restaurant is always clean and still has plenty of options available. They also carry some of my favorite drink options like Spindrift seltzers and sparkling water. Staff is always very quick and pleasant!

Google
I thought the salmon harvest bowl was good. So was the avo grain bowl with crispy tofu.

Google
I tried Dig for the first time and think it is a great option for a fast, no-frills, health-conscious meal. I got the Classic Dig bowl (charred chicken, charred broccoli with lemon, roasted sweet potatoes, and brown rice). I also got the Steak & Spring Vegetables Seasonal Bowl (peppercorn steak, fingerlings, charred broccoli with lemon, and jammy egg) for another day. I definitely felt full afterward but wish there were bigger portions when it came to the vegetables and sweet potatoes.

Yelp
I love Dig (Inn) - tried them the first time in 2019 in Boston and was impressed with the flavors and texture their bowls offer. Imagine a Chipotle style order with semi-healthy options like roasted veg, grains, salad and chicken. They are very rich with flavors and oil so they arent low calories food but the taste is great. The sweet potatoes are charred and soft after roasting. Roasted Chicken thighs were yummy. I love their farro! and many options for salad, beans, sides like mac and cheese. The lunch line was long but it moves fast

Yelp
Ordered late night via DoorDash. The family meal was perfect for my partner and I. The portions looks small but because it comes with 4 sides it was actually pretty filling. I wouldn't say it's feed more than 3 people though. The Salmon was a little salty for our liking, but the roasted veggies (broccoli and cauliflower) were great! The didn't get soggy during the delivery which was a plus. Definitely wanna check this place out in person! I don't recommend ordering via DoorDash because the service fee was $16.99.

Yelp
Great food. Stayed nearby for the Penn Relays and needed something to eat after a long day at the track and the create your own bowl was the perfect solution. I loved it!

Yelp
Was able to experience DIG through a catered lunch and I (along with the other 20 friends) was impressed! How can vegetables taste so good? The way DIG roasts them is amazing - wish I could learn their methods somehow! The meatballs and chicken were well cooked and flavorful and the two sauce choices we got were perfect. Was impressed by their sturdy labels they provided for each dish we ordered. And their customer service was kind to help with loading the multiple heavy bags into the car (in the rain too). Thank you! Although it was on the expensive side, it was worth it! Will definitely pay an in-person visit next time!

Yelp
I had never ordered delivery before, some weird fear. Dig was recommended 3 years ago by NL Fb page. Finally, food arrived quickly, it was good, did not hurt my budget. Don't know why I waited so long. Would order again from Dig.

Yelp
This is another one of my favorite comfort meals in the city especially on a cold rainy day. The service and portions are great! My fave thing on the menu is the hot honey chicken bowl!
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by on a late Thursday night and had their Spicy Lime Leaf Salmon. This is honestly one of the best bowls I've had--- and I'm still dreaming about that sauce. Great for a quick and healthy meal.

Yelp
Convenient location, great options for all different kinds of eaters, and a well thought out to-go system. The interior is bright and basic, a great spot to do some chatting with coworkers which was my purpose the Tuesday I was there. It was busy and the line to order in-person was moving fairly slowly as there was only one person doing the building of the bowls and check out. I went with some kind of autumn style bowl and it was really delicious! I added the blackened chicken and it came with their balsamic. The bowls are massive and I took leftovers home to enjoy for dinner that night as well. Overall a great spot if you're looking for a healthy meal in a pinch near Rittenhouse!

Michelle M.

Yelp
If you're looking for summer bugs in your food and a manager who is rude go to the Bridgewater location. Did NOT have a good experience here whatsoever. Never again. Plus my chicken was under cooked. Read other reviews- many people complain about this! Unbelievable.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Solid salad/bowl place. I am not as excited about ordering here because their make your one bowl only allows you to pick 2 side + protein. I think other salad/bowl place around the city has more choices. It was nice to grab a casual dinner here after a workout. It's similar to sweet green in that they just assemble it in front of you (everything precooked) so no wait when it's not busy. My complaint when I ordered the tofu bowl - they only give you two pieces of tofu. However, if you order chicken I feel like they give you more protein.
google avatar

Yelp
Placed a lunch order for Dig the other day on their app. For first timers, you get $5 off if you order through their app. My whole lunch costs me less than $6! The food here is everything I love to eat. All their veggies are simply prepared but so good. I loved everything about my custom veg salad. It was so nutritious and wholesome, even though I did get the mac and cheese as one of my sides, which isn't exactly healthy. But everything else, including the kale salad base to the roasted asparagus and cauliflower with garlic and parmesan is healthy, and so good. I could and wish I could eat this everyday. My salad with the hefty portion of mac and cheese was a good portion sized lunch and I felt full but not tired after lunch. There are only a few options for drinks here though, and they are just as healthy as their food. Water, seltzer water, coconut water, a ginger mint lemonade. I guess you don't really need the extra caffeine from sodas or coffee when you're eating all these power foods to give you energy. Ha.

Yelp
My daughter forewarned me "This is all healthy food."'She'd just bought her meal.( She's eaten here before and liked it. I mean, with the exception of chicken McNuggets, Taco Bell and Wienerschitel(sp.?), I'd raised her on healthy food. The staff was very pleasant, as I ordered,my charred chicken bowl w additional Brussels sprouts. It was unbelievably delicious. It is clean and pleasant This is place I will come to again, for sure
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I want to say 3.5 stars. I was a bit conflicted when writing this. I got the harvest chicken bowl which is a seasonal favorite and came out to about $16. This included Brussels sprouts, broccoli and sliced chicken breast over rice. There wasn't that much food, only a couple slices of chicken. Just a heads up, the Brussels sprouts are charred so they are half burnt. It comes with a garlic aioli sauce which was very good and added a dressing to the bland rice. The broccoli was delicious and overall it did taste like a home cooked meal of sorts.
google avatar

Samma L.

Yelp
Food, as usual delicious fresh and healthy. This review is more for the great staff especially the chef! They were so cheerful and helpful making sure I got my $5 off credit. Overall a great location!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered through local delivery service and food arrived hot and fresh. Carrots tasty, honey chicken bowl had good portion of chicken but sauce wasn't on the side, it was dumped all over everything. Mac and cheese heavy and cheesy like you might want. Roasted broccoli had nice char and crunch. The Kale salad has a nice flavor profile but I couldn't find a bite that wasn't gritty with sand. I TRIED because I like the flavor but ended up tossing it in the trash. In this area teeming with great restaurants I was expecting a little higher attention to prep and quality, a gritty Kale salad-no good.
google avatar

Sara H.

Yelp
Very solid spot for fast casual eats. The food is always healthy and fresh and they have a great rotating seasonal menu. My bf typically gets the classic Dig bowl while I often do a make-your-own. Both are great, though sometimes the rotating sides are hit or miss, hence the four stars. The employees are always helpful and fun to joke around with. Also - do NOT leave without getting the Mac and cheese! Soooo delicious, especially with the hot honey. The potato salad is also fantastic (and I say this as someone who does not typically enjoy potato salad), but I think this is a seasonal item.

Yelp
Ordered a bowl on Uber Eats -- half farro/greens, butternut squash slaw, mac and cheese, and charred chicken. I was very disappointed with my meal, as was my partner. I used to go to Dig Inn for lunch frequently in NYC a few years ago and was eager to have it again, but it seems the quality of the food took a serious nosedive. The mac and cheese had a sort of sour tinge and the chicken, though tender, had little flavor. The mac and cheese in particular tasted as if it were left on the heater for hours -- not fresh. The price has always been very reasonable and the amount of food you get is usually substantial (unless you order delivery where there is less incentive for them to serve more). Dig Inn used to be a favorite; hope to try this again -- not sure if it's just the Rittenhouse location. Value: 4/5 Quality: 1/5 Quantity: 5/5 Service: N/A Atmosphere: N/A

Yelp
Great presentation and portions but I didn't enjoy the food at all. Mac and Cheese - very odd chewy/mealy consistency. The best part was the bread crumbs. Carrots - beautiful char but no flavor. A squeeze of lemon juice, salt, pepper, and dill would've been great Classic bowl- very oily. The broccoli could've been cooked a little longer but was seasoned well and had nice acid that the carrots could've used. My rice was undercooked/still crunchy. The sweet potatoes were good. The chicken lacked flavor and the garlic aioli could use more garlic, salt/pepper. (The propane taste is very strong, like when you add too much liquid smoke to a dish.)
google avatar

Nelson J.

Yelp
The food was pretty cool. For me to be there for the first time, staff wasn't that patient with me to decide! Tables were sticky and smelled like a 2 week old dish rag. I doubt I'd go back.
google avatar

Abraham K.

Yelp
Super clean location. The greens are fresh and so are the proteins. Dressings are fire and you gotta try their pickled peppers!
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
The absolute best. Quick and easy + healthy! Dig is so worth the hype. Everything is so tasty and rich in flavor. The executive is similar to that of Chipotle only 1,000 times better! I've visited this location and a few in NYC! My advice is get the Mac, Kale salad and salmon.
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
first got introduced to Dig by a friend in NYC. In his words, it's "gOuRmEt saLaD" that's 10000 times better than sweetgreen. After trying it in Philly, honestly he's right. My go-to is always the classic dig bowl. For some reason you can't add avocado as a side, but i just mash up some avocados to go with. Absolutely amazing. The chicken is seasoned well, grilled to perfection. It's not dry at all and the avocado complements the taste. The broccoli can be a little burnt sometimes but i don't mind that. The sweet potatoes are also very well seasoned and soft. The portion is also very generous. I've also tried the spicy tofu bowl with parmesan cauliflower and the meatball. Not as good as the classic bowl but still very good. It also offers delivery to university city with a pretty good rewards program. it's about the same cost as sweet green but definitely a much much better experience.

Yelp
Delicious - Build your own bowl with charred broccoli, sweet potatoes, herb roasted chicken, cashew kale caesar and brown rice.
google avatar

Jenn S.

Yelp
I had been wondering about this place for a while and finally stopped in. I wanted healthy, and on that front, Dig delivered. I appreciated the use of herbs like mint and dill to make the salads we ordered just a little different from the expected. Both the Asparagus Kale Caesar and Alaskan Salmon Avocado and Lentil Salad had good flavor. Both had a little optional crunch on the side too- toasted breadcrumbs for the Caesar, which didn't really do much for me, and candies sunflower seeds on the lentil salad, which I did enjoy. We also had roasted carrots added to the lentil salad. I was worried they might not be cooked enough to be soft, but they were perfect. Why a 4 instead of a 5? The small containers of dressing and toppings are put in the salad bowl, meaning you are getting less salad. Also, I thought the lentil salad would have more of the lentil and quinoa mixture.

Yelp
I think I am developing an obsession for this place. My 1st experience was a total accident. My daughter and I ordered Chinese takeout and when it was delivered, we placed the bag on the counter and didn't come back to it for 10-15 minutes. Crushed upon realizing the food was not our food, I called the driver multiple times (no answer) and then Uber Eats. We had to reorder our food but I felt so bad for the people whose food we got! It was a large order from Dig - 3 entrees, a few sides, and a brownie. At first glance, I didn't think it would be anything I liked and certainly not my 14 year old! I placed in the fridge in case someone came for it, but a few hours later, it was fair game to try. And I was impressed! The next week, I ordered delivery from Dig! I got the salmon with the salad, broccoli and something else I can't remember, and a create your own with the chicken, farro, broccoli. I was bummed when the chicken dish came without the chicken, but Dig credited me for it. But I loved everything else (even if the salmon tends to be a little overcooked). Today, I ordered the same salmon dish, the chicken CYO with brown rice/salad combo, and carrots, with a side of meatballs. No, I don't eat all of that! I split into multiple meals throughout the week. I ate the salmon dish so fast today. I don't even think I was that hungry, it just tasted so good! What I love about this place is that 1) the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and 2) you feel like you are eating really healthy and the meals are so well balanced with the protein, grains, and veggies. Having had it 3x over the past month, I think the food has been pretty consistent and so delicious!

Yelp
First review of the new year. Owwwwww So here's the thing. This place just opened maybe a week or so ago. People are my job come flooding in with their Dig lunches. I'm curious. Ok so it's now the end of the year....I think this place has been open for a while. I put this on drafts and forgot. It's not my favorite. I had a couple of things from here. Just not my favorite. The seasoning isn't good. But I feel healthy eating it. So there's that?

David A.

Yelp
Picking up from the location at 16th and Chestnut was traumatic. Waited over 30 minutes after I received a text from Dig saying my order was ready. There is no system, the staff is overwhelmed, and they are aggressively rude to customers or delivery drivers. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but it felt like living in an authoritarian state with food shortages. Of course, they forgot two sides that I ordered and paid for, but the portion of my order they got right was good.

Maka F.

Yelp
it's so refreshing to know that u can always count on this great casual restaurant for healthy delicious and tasty meals to meet my salad needs. Also, the service is awesome and amazing...

Yelp
Great food, but be aware that there is a large risk for cross contamination if you have food allergies.

Yelp
Was looking for a healthy option on our way out of Philly and saw this close to our location. Had never been to Dig before and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Everything had just been cooked so it was fresh! Exactly what we needed before our trip back to DC! Super safe re: COVID precautions. No indoor dining, sanitizer available.

Maka F.

Yelp
Again and always a great and delicious meal at any time .. the ingredients look so fresh and tasty!!

Yelp
Nice people here. I ordered the Avo Grain bowl with chicken -good food and they even talked sports with me "the out of towner".
google avatar

Sadia A.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with this place. The food is hearty and delicious. Sometimes American food can veer on the bland side though that was not the case here. Each bite was extremely delicious. The ingredients really complemented each other and individually tasted great. I'm usually not a fan of sweet potato... though here? Extremely in favor. The sweet potato "flourless brownie" is also truly delicious. It also pairs well with the rest of the meal.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Hands down favorite place to eat in Philly. Well balanced ingredients with straight forward description. Eco friendly considerations: we have bags that you can take if you need it, cue pickup area AND on GrubHub, you can specify no utensils. I avoid dairy and soy and didn't have to ask for any modifications because all the descriptions list all allergens. I love the freedom of of ordering and not being afraid of what I'm consuming while traveling. My salmon bowl was delicious and well balanced with delightful sauces and made me so happy & my husband's spicy meatball bowl (say that three times fast) kept him satiated and he is still talking about how well the carrots were prepared right now. Easily my go to place when I'm in town!

Haley G.

Yelp
Great place to grab something quick and healthy for lunch. Service was quick and the atmosphere was lovely. We enjoyed it!
google avatar

Caroline D.

Yelp
Make sure you're looking for this lunch spot or you may miss it! I was hoping to find a healthy lunch option in the area and was so pleased when I stumbled across this one. Build your own bowl- I got brown rice, broccoli, potatoes, and herb chicken. You won't regret this stop!
google avatar

Dania S.

Yelp
My first time trying Dig and I was so disappointed with our order. We got two Farmer's favourite marketbowls and the order was wrong. My husband's order had half greens and half farro and it came with rice and instead of two tofu orders that we paid for, there was just one. The kale salad was also missing. The other bowl that was half rice and half farro only had farro. Overall, the bowls tasted fresh and very flavourful but the orders were wrong hence taking away one star.
google avatar

Nakita H.

Yelp
I wish this would come to Houston!!! One of my fav lunch spots I've been too. Healthy, fresh, flavorful, and priced reasonably. I was in Philly for work and had this multiple times. Definitely worth trying

Grace M.

Yelp
I love DIG, except when I get cold food that should be hot their friend tofu is so good!
google avatar

Joe G.

Yelp
Food is really tasty here. Love their salads and the ability to customize it. People working here are also very nice.
google avatar

Retna S.

Yelp
Very flavorful healthy meals. First you pick the base: farro, brown rice, or greens. I picked greens. It's not much though. Second, you pick two sides. That's tough because all of them look delicious. I picked root veggies and sweet potatoes. Third you pick the protein. I picked salmon. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Very patient in answering my questions . My meal was so tasty. Well balanced flavor and very appetizing. Salmon is on the well done side but not too dry.

Rylan M.

Yelp
Great food for a chain takeout spot. Friendly service and great portions. All the dorks on here reviewing things and pulling out their little measuring tapes are pathetic. Half the reviews say things are "burnt" but they are literally described as "charred broccoli" or something of the like and they just don't understand proper food preparation. Leave your nasty reviews somewhere else and eat at home instead of scrutinizing things you don't understand. Fun fact is that most of the time; the customer is always wrong and most likely having a bad day and looking to take it out on service industry workers.
google avatar

Courtney M.

Yelp
DIG, DIG, DIG!!! All I can say is MAC AND CHEESE!!! I'm not a fan of many Mac and cheese because people will usually through some processed cheese in it like Velveeta or American cheese in it, and I can ALWAYS sniff it out and it's GROSS . Don't argue with me about it, argue with your momma . But anyways their Mac is to die for. They use elbow noodles with a mix of very rich cheddar cheese. The cheese taste like they have the cows in the back, milk them, and make the cheese in house. That's how fresh and rich the cheese tastes. They put a crumb topping on top that only enhances the flavor of the Mac. I tried their chicken thighs and string beans. That was okay, nothing to brag about, but the MAC!!! I'm telling y'all to give it a try, especially being a girl who DOES NOT eat Mac and cheese out the house. Ask my friends, they know!!!!
google avatar

Shar Z.

Yelp
I am so happy Dig delivers to me! It's always so fresh and delicious. They should bottle and sell their garlic aioli and the habanada dressing mmmm. I am a loyal customer. Thanks for amazing healthy food options!

Katrina S.

Yelp
Like a Sweetgreen only better. Healthy home cooking with a smile. Sooooooo tasty. Don't be shy. Go ask questions and you'll be finishing a big plate before you know it. Great location too. Would be fab for a first date or a casual dinner on the go.
google avatar

El K.

Yelp
I like the combo of roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, and chicken. The brown rice could be a little softer. I like the sauce they give on the side (forgot the name). Place is clean and they give complementary water.
google avatar

Laura N.

Yelp
Tried out this spot for a take out order that i placed online. I was pleasantly surprised about the meal. I went with the classic dig. It felt healthy, but was also delicious. It even lasted me for lunch for three days. Day one I didn't use the garlic aioli that comes with the meal. That was a mistake. That stuff in the rice or on the chicken kicked it up a notch. The broccoli was charred and seasoned well, too. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a healthy, filling, reasonably priced (for center city) meal.

Julia I.

Yelp
delicious food and great service. I had the charred chicken and they gave me such a good portion.

Stefanie G.

Yelp
Veggies are always burned to a crisp -- totally black -- rendering them inedible. Charcoal. I've commented before, and the employee told me that's how they're supposed to cook them -- for flavor. Uhhh I don't think so. They are a far cry from browned for flavor -- a shame cuz the food at Dig is so yummy otherwise. ***just read through other reviews and it seems "incinerated" veggies are a consistent complaint. Customer service: this is either a training issue or a Corporate recipe design issue. And it's not a fluke. (This also isn't an issue of preference. I love browned veggies...) Please actually contact the store manager and retrain, or inform Corporate so they can consider tweaking the recipe to reduce the cooking time by a few minutes -- I eat here a lot and have to throw away half of my bowl every time. And it's clearly not just me. *** Following up one week later. This week I received a response from Dig customer service stating they'd address my issue. Went back and got my weekly cauliflower order today and IT WAS DELICIOUS. Perfectly browned. Perfectly caramelized. Just perfect. Heaven! Thank you Dig for your help and for fixing this issue. I hope it stays this way!!!
