Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus - Henderson, NV

I had my baby girl here at the Birth Center in July 2025 and the experience was truly amazing. I had to be readmitted a week later due to postpartum complications but ALL of the nurses and administrative personnel were very helpful, patient, kind and memorable. My family and I felt welcome and at "home". The food was better than anticipated and pretty enjoyable, especially the cheesecake! The only thing I didn't "like" was that the phlebotomists were so good at their job, taking blood quickly, I was left bruised on more than one occasion. I completely understand they have a lot of patients to poke but I am not particularly fond of needles so it was a bit of a shock. Maybe a little more bedside manner would have helped smooth things over. All in all, I would highly recommend having your baby here if you are looking for a prime location and lovely staff experience. I was actually somewhat sad to leave each time plus the view was incredible! Thank you SO much for helping me through my health journey and truly taking care of my family!

The wait time is outrageous and most of the nurses not all hide from the patients. I sat back and watched as they avoided their patients, we were moved from lobby to cold rooms with chairs back in forth. The techs we really nice. And the doctors seemed short staffed. But we all know a good nurse can change any visit. Let me clarify this was in the ER

In case anyone is looking for the time at which the Radiology Department closes, they close at 5. Immaculate service provided by the volunteers, the lady was kind enough to walk me all the way to the Radiology Department after I asked for directions at the front desk.

My daughter presented to the ER with vaginal spotting and what appeared to be contractions — symptoms that understandably caused significant concern for both her and our family. During her evaluation, Dr. Shiung appeared unfamiliar with the ultrasound equipment and had to FaceTime another individual to ask how to turn on the machine. This immediately caused us concern regarding the quality of the assessment being performed. When he proceeded with the ultrasound, the exam was extremely brief and consisted of what appeared to be only a quick scan across her abdomen. My daughter is familiar with the standard process of fetal assessment and felt that the evaluation was rushed and incomplete. Her questions were brushed off, and she did not feel heard or reassured. She left the hospital feeling defeated, dismissed, and uncertain about the well-being of her baby. This is not the level of care or professionalism we expect, especially in a situation involving potential pregnancy complications.

ON TOP of Everything else we are having to deal with, with Our Dad's current health conditions and this is what we have to sit on, HARD as a rock🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Makes it Very difficult to be here to help him since they do the BARE minimum. Shame on YOU Dignity Health, you make millions and can't even furnish your patients rooms properly, you should be embarrassed!!!!!!!

Some of your nursing staff were wonderful, but many were not. Chris, in ER very good. But waiting for a room for 18 hours and being moved late at night is not. I was at St Rose for 4 days each two weeks in a row because that’s where EMTs said we had to go. We live right across the street off Jeffrey’s. This past week I had to be hospitalized again but, though it was a struggle, my husband drove me to the new hospital. Far superior in every way!

Staff were efficient and friendly each time I was hospitalized over the last few years. This is compared to The first time I was hospitalized at Saint Rose about Nine years ago. At that time, the hospital Intake was chaotic. The staff appeared to be overwhelmed. The clarity of what was going on. It’s cloudy. since then Vast improvement regardless of Peak busy times Which I have experienced As a patient over the years. The only thing I would Say that needs improvement is better communication between hospital doctors and private doctor regarding medication. Also getting my medication was incredibly chaotic as I had to keep repeating the medication Use and Dosage which were still incorrect, but I was too Exhausted to push for more accuracy. Bottom line communication regarding medication was and has been broken. Also, I was given a list of medications Upon discharge, which did not lineup with my private doctors and it took me almost a month to get an appointment to clarify if any changes need to be made or if new medication needs to be continued the discharge papers were not clear in this matter. Summary intake, staff Treatment were outstanding. Medication mix ups we’re Frequent.

In January 2024, I had a total knee replacement at St. Rose Hospital, which was done by Dr. Tait, who has been simply the best along with his staff and cannot forget a special thanks to PA Nelson. To the entire staff of the hospital, I wish to sing their praise to all who will listen. This was absolutely the best experience one could possibly have considering the circumstances. From the moment I arrived until the time I was discharged; the staff members were true professionals and most of all friendly. The room I was in was perfect and someone was always only seconds way if you needed anything. And not once did I ask for anything it was not done with a smile and friendly voice. As for the hospital food, it may not have been 5 stars but was more than suitable. I think only the last lunch before release would I consider subpar, otherwise everything was fine. I even asked for additional food for breakfast, which was gladly provided. I do want to recognize some of the nursing staff that took care of me during my stay to include Helena, Jennifer, Kaye, Janet, Arlene, Kay; and if I miss anyone, I apologize. Again, thank you for making this a pleasant and stressful-free operation and stay. Finally, this was the second time within 18 months I have been operated on for my knees at this location and the first operation was also handled in a professional and exceptional manner.
