"The popular steam-table takeout dim sum spot in Chinatown is open for takeout from 9 a.m. to around 3 or 4 p.m. During the shelter in place, it is serving frozen dim sum items exclusively — basically, almost anything that they had on the menu before is now available in frozen form. Note: The staffers who answer the phone seem to mostly speak Cantonese and Mandarin, so if you aren’t conversant in those languages, it’s best to just head over to the shop to pick out what you want." - Luke Tsai

This is a great place to stop and grab a quick bite. Not too many vegetarian options, but the sesame balls are heavenly and the spring rolls are deliciously crispy. The prices are great and depending on the time of day, the wait is decent. Well worth it either way!

[Delivery review] got this for breakfast and it was delicious! I particularly liked the pan-fried potstickers with pork and pan-fried turnip cake with pork. Nicely packaged 👍

Want fast and cheap dim sum take away? This is the spot. It’s not we’ll know like the other famous place. But you know this is legit because all those waiting in line are local Chinese and not non-Chinese, hipsters or foodies 🤣 This is the better real deal for those in the know. Check out the people in line and decide for yourself.

Google
QUEEN (imho) of take-out Dim Sum & tourists & out-of-the area locals r starting to discover that DSB is the locals’ favorite .. 3 of the 4 Kings of DIM SUM is one of my fave❤️ (they don’t make the egg tart which would b the 4th king lol) The BBQ pork bun is moist & soft with the ‘perfect chew; the filling is a very tasty & savory in its natural color form. The Cha Sui chunks r meaty, not fat & sauce is not used as a ‘filler’. The perfect mixture of sauce to meat gives u one of the most balanced & satisfying Cha Siu Bao. Though their HAR GAO is short on pleats (7+), the skin is thin & somewhat translucent with a plumpy shrimp filling . The meaty PORK SIU MAI keeps u full for less than $10/2 orders .. that’s 6 dumplings😂 Not only do DSB have great DIM SUM, they r fast & efficient. The labeled photos makes it easy to decipher all the dim sums, noodle soups, etc they offer ! And so many ordering options making it so easy for newbies & regulars alike ..

Google
We tried several Dim Sum locations in SF and this place had by far the best baked bbq pork buns. All of the menu items were larger compared to other locations and very reasonably priced. They took cash or card. There were a few tables to sit at which is rare. The ladies that helped us were very patient with us although there was a little language barrier. As long as you know what you're ordering you should be fine. There are some pictures.

Google
Dim sum heaven! So easy to order however I did get charged for an order but it didn’t go through on their end and I still got charged.. I was able to dispute and receive a refund from credit card.. but nevertheless their food is good.. I must’ve eaten there a few times during my visit..

Google
Delicious food all around and at a great price! Loved the baked BBQ pork bun so much and would definitely recommend getting it. My friends got the pork and shrimp dumplings, shrimp only dumplings and spring rolls. Everything was really good! They didn’t have any veggie dumplings for my vegan friend in case anyone was wondering.

Around 10:30am Sunny Day on President Day's. The line was long but moved quickly and waiting for pickup about 10 mins. The taste hasn't change whether before the pandemic or during and now still tasty. This is still one of my favorite to go Dim Sum. A plus that they accept credit card.

Yelp
Reasonably priced and delicious dim sum! My friend brought me here once and I got to try a variety of their dim sum and it was pretty good for a takeout dim sum place. My review is specifically for their zong, or chinese tamales with green bean. I've been looking for a place that makes the kind of zong that I grew up eating, and they make that here! Love getting these for my zong cravings :) The buns here are delicious too! Tried the cha siu and the dai bao (taishan bun) -- both super delicious! Would definitely come again and get more of these to freeze up.

Yelp
The secret is out and the best place to get dim sum in the neighborhood now goes to Dim Sum Bistro. I can't vouch for the entire menu but navigating hole in the wall spots like this, usually each owns a handful of the staples you seek as you venture through the Chinese aunties and uncles throughout Chinatown fighting over cheap groceries and Chinese foods to start your Saturday or Sunday strong. I primarily pick up the shu mai, har gao, and baked barbecue pork buns. All seem to hit harder than all the spots nearby that we've tasted over a lifetime of living in the Bay Area. The shu mai are big and flavorful and lack fillers like bittermeon that I find at other places that I'm not the biggest fan of when I'm eating my **meat** dumplings (you know what I'm sayin'?). The barbecue pork buns are soft, chewy and have the perfect amount of barbecue pork inside and surpassed quality and taste from chinatowns here to Oakland. No matter when I've gone, there's always a line but orders are fulfilled quickly and I'm usually in and out in 5-15 minutes. As a Chinese American and look around at the people waiting in line and I love seeing all the different faces there that aren't just Chinese like myself, and I smile to myself that these people know what up and the neighborhood secret is out. And I love it.

Yelp
The longest wait of any to go dim sum I've had. Arrived around 11:05 on a Saturday morning, so I expected a bit of a wait. Ordering took maybe 5-10 min. Waited until 11:40 to ask how much longer, which the staff says they were waiting on 2 of the items (ordered 6 total). After another 5 minutes, I said to the staff I had to go, so to swap out whatever wasn't available. It still took at least another 10 minutes for them to give me whatever else they had available in place of the 2 items. I left at 11:58am. During my visit, at least 2 orders were mixed up, with one customer returning saying their order was wrong. Another customer after me also said to leave out anything that wasn't available (seems like she also had to go). Several people were asked to come back later to pick up the dim sum (after paying) because there was too many orders. Onto the food. The porridge was too salty, and the shark's fin dumplings was not good. The sticky chicken rice and beef ricerolls were average. Overall taste was below average to average. Definitely better options out there for dim sum.

Monika T.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised as I was looking for my peanut mochis. Lo and behold, I found them here. I got so excited, I ordered 2 orders... and got 6 plump mochis that were chewy and very up to par. They had a machine to order, which was kinda cool. Ambiance was small and cozy. I look forward to returning to try other items!

Yelp
We were staying in the area and decide to get a cheap and wonderful lunch at Dim Sum Bistro. I can only speak to what we got which was custard balls and these wonderful dim sum cups. They had hot broth and the bottom of the cup and was perfect for an on the go or park lunch situation like we enjoyed. The wait for the dim sum was quite long. I have no idea what goes into making dim sum but my custard balls took like 2 minutes while the dim sum took 15. Well worth it. I think we got very lucky and beat the crowd.

Yelp
After 36hrs exploring China town, I can 100% confirm this is the BEST dim sum. Great selection and you know it's legit cause all the other Chinese gather here. It's super fresh and the staff are so sweet. It's a tiny little spot, no sitting area. In my opinion that makes it better cause it truly is a hole in the wall. Seriously the best Dim S, they have take out containers and provide condiments and chopsticks. 10/10! I'll have dreams sound their chicken bao bun.

Mar H.

Yelp
Still affordable dim sum, come and grab some before they are all sold out. During weekdays, no waiting. The staff is helpful and friendly. I got my favorite beef sui mai which tasted awesome. The shrimp haw gaw and pork shrimp chives dumplings are spot on. All offerings seasoned right, not too salty. Grab an order form on the table because there are so many choices you will be at a lost staring at the back board. There are also soups and rice dishes for ordering to go.

Jeron W.

Yelp
I stopped by Dim Sum Bistro on a Sunday morning as brunch. I saw it had pretty good reviews so I was looking forward to it. The inside was quite busy, as in there was a line for the orders. I ordered the usual dim sum fare: siu mai, har gow, deep fried pork puff, chicken feet, and wide noodles with egg. The chicken feet took a really long time, so by the time we got the food, it was a little cold The siu mai and har gow were decent, not bad but nothing to write home about. I really enjoyed the fried pork puff, though the filling amount was a bit inconsistent. For the chicken feet, flavor was great and was perfectly soft. The wide noodles with egg was interesting, I had not had it before. I thought it was just alright I do think the price is really good, overall $20 for all the food we ordered

Yelp
Can't say anything but good stuff about this place. Price that won't get you broke, quality is A+, service is quick and no non-sense. Get in - get out, which is how take out should be. I recognize the women who work here and I have been coming here for years. Their pork bun is top quality. Highly recommend their porridge. It's seasoned so perfect. Great with the Chinese donut. Porridge and chinese donut cost me $5.00. Delish breakfast. Recommendation: come early. Their baked pork bun sells out FAST. Once their gone, THEY'RE GONE. Quality: A++ Price: $ - $$ Service: A++ One last note: take advantage of their kiosk when ordering instead of waiting in line with the local yokles. The locals aren't tech savvy so they will wait in line like everyone else, which can take a loooong time to wait.

Katrina R.

Yelp
Had wonton noodles - so good! Perfect serving size and very tasty. The bbq pork buns were also delicious and filling.

Stance L.

Yelp
Like others have said...Check your larger orders before you leave. They shorted me 2 orders of hargow. Pretty sad when I got back home because my kids love those. That's almost $10 in food.

Andrew S.

Yelp
A gold mine for cheap tasty dim sum in China Town! You can order online and pick up, order at the kiosk, or order in person. Some of my favs here are the turnip cakes, shark fin dumpling, pork and shrimp shu mai, and the chive and shrimp pan fried pot stickers!

Samantha L.

Yelp
Efficient and one of the best hargow I've had. Dishes: (total $20) 1. Hargow: perfection. That's it, perfect. One of the best I've ever had. 2. Shrimp and chives steamed dumpling 3. Turnip cake: 3 reasonably sized cakes but a bit too oily 4. Beef rice noodles: noodles are good but the skimps on the beef and the beef could use more flavor Logistics: -how to order: cash in-person, call-in, or in-person tablet that accepts cc. Then wait for your # to be called -takeout only

Heather L.

Yelp
This place was amazing- very inexpensive and large portions. There wasn't a single item we didn't love. So much so, we went back a second time. Each visit we had left overs because the size of the dumplings are so large. One can easily eat for $4 but, of course we couldn't stop with just one.

Deborah W.

Yelp
My friend and I ordered door dash from here Sunday late morning time for brunch. Food came at a reasonable time and had pretty good portions for the orders. My favorite was their siu mai, turnip cake and corn dumpling. Those were all so flavorful and delicious. The chive and shrimp dumplings unfortunately were not that good. Flavor was ok but the skins were too thick and oily. We also ordered the wonton noodle soups. The broth was light and nice and the wontons were good but they did skimp on the amount of wontons they put in. The noodle quality was average to below average though but the Shanghai bok Choy on the side was a good addition. All in all, a nice simple choice if you're craving some dim sum.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Pretty good fast food dim sum in Chinatown. Not as busy and Good Mong Kok so it was our alternative. Even so, service was quite slow and if you don't speak Chinese it's a bit difficult to get help. You can order via the kiosk and they will call your number but you might feel like you're left hanging for a bit. We enjoyed everything we ordered but nothing was superb. Just tasted as expected.

Yelp
My husband and I love a good dim sum spot and Dim Sum Bistro is definitely one of our favorites in Chinatown. Whenever the craving kicks in, this is usually our our go-to place as the dim sum is tasty, affordable, and quick. Also, because of its location, we tend to get lucky with parking when we visit, unlike some of the other places within Chinatown. Dim Sum Bistro is a quick service type of establishment where patrons place their order and take it to go. There are no seats inside or outside the spot to eat directly on site. Customers have two options for placing and paying for their orders: 1) at an electronic kiosk and 2) at the register with a person. I've used both methods and have never had an issue with my order. Service is always professional and efficient. My husband nor I have personally had an extremely long wait time for our food, despite having several other patrons placing orders. Perhaps, we've been lucky? Our favorite items to order include the - Shrimp and Pork Siu Mai - Shrimp Dumplings - Pork Potstickers - Scallion Pancake Everything is always delicious, packed with protein, and warm. As noted above, the price point definitely justifies the product and you can definitely get a lot for your dollar. Always a positive experience for us at Dim Sum Bistro. We always look forward to the next visit!

Yelp
Dim Sum Bistro is definitely my fave to-go Dim Sum spots in the Bay! Whenever I make a trip out to SF early in the morning, I always try and make it out to Dim Sum bistro; Dim Sum tor breakfast is the best! Just a heads up, like many to-go dim sum spots in Chinatown, Dim Sum Bistro is quite small (limited standing room). To order, you can either order at the register, digital kiosk, or online. I prefer ordering online, so it's a tad bit quicker! Their dim sum is priced very well and portion sizes are great! Not to mention, everything I've tried tastes super yummy! I'm quite basic, but I always order lots of har gow and siu mai. They're my favorite! I've always had multiple types of their rice rolls, dumplings, wontons (chili oil and soup), and buns. For the price, they are definitely worth it!! If you want a quick and no-frills food spot in SF, Dim Sum Bistro may be a spot to try out!

Yelp
Dim Sum Bistro is on my list of quick pick-up spots in Chinatown. The online ordering and pick up in store are seamless. I don't believe there's any interior seating, as it's quite cramped. Some of my favorites include their bbq pork buns - pillowy, white steamed bun enveloping a sweet, savory fatty pork filling. Their fried sesame balls are always fresh, with sweet bean filling that's somehow still piping hot at the end of your meal with the crispiest sesame exterior. My absolute favorite is Dim Sum Bistro's siu mai, which rivals that of southern China's, the literal birthplace of dim sum. These pork and shrimp open faced dumplings are larger than your typical siu mai, meaty and stuffed with juicy, tender filling. The price is also right - I've found their dim sum to be about the same or cheaper than several other spots nearby. I recommend ordering a selection of their dim sum and walking a few blocks north to picnic at Washington Square. The 二胡 (traditional Chinese instrument) in the background, an almost omnipresent sound there, is truly the cherry on top to a relaxing meal with delicious dim sum, a wonderful atmosphere, and scenic views.

Yelp
I ordered through Doordash for lunch. Food came so quick and was hot. Large portions. Above average dim sum. Would definitely order again.

Yelp
My quest to visit, rate and review every single dim sum takeout restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown neighborhood continues here with Dim Sum Bistro. Located in a prime location along Broadway in San Francisco Dim Sum Bistro is exactly as advertised, affordable with quite the vast menu, service-wise they are fast and bilingual, and they are takeout only, as uniquely they have both touchpad kiosk ordering and order from their associate right at their counter. Walk along Broadway and you can't miss them with their reddish yet fading awning outside and windows with a ton of stickers in Chinese characters posted along them. But one cannot judge a book by its cover, as I found a recent takeout experience surprisingly enjoyable and easy as it all started with their menu, as it literally was one of the biggest menus that I have ever seen in a Chinatown takeout restaurant. There are literally sixty-nine items on their menu, and I only know that because they number them, which is great for those who do not speak Cantonese and all you have to say is the number of the corresponding menu item that you want to order. What is also great with the menu at Dim Sum Bistro is that they have two menus actually, one with all of their dim sum menu items listed behind their counter, and one on the opposite wall with pictures of those same menu items listed. With this best of both worlds, I was ready to order my lunchtime meal. Whenever I try a takeout dim sum restaurant, I make sure to order their Har Gow, or shrimp dumplings, which here is menu item number 16. Although I traditionally order their Pork Siu Mai to accompany this item, this time I went with their Steamed Beef Siu Mai, which was menu item number 19, and for good measure to complete my lunch order I went with two individual orders of their Baked BBQ Pork Buns. My total bill was $12.40, which in today's day and age is really reasonable. The good news is that they do take credit cards and with all of the ways customers can order here, it seems like a seamless and safe process paying by card. Of course I tend to pay by cash at places like this to be on the safe side, and it took less than five minutes for me to receive my order. I did notice someone who came in before me order a meal that was cooked to order and they were told it would take ten minutes for their order to be ready and I saw them walking out right after I did, so their kitchen staff seems to be super fast, even though yet again their menu is quite helpful as some items have yellow stickers on the corner of their pictures stating they would take 10 or 15 minutes to prepare, which is helpful for those on the run. Upon my return back to work, I dove into my Har Gow and Beef Siu Mai one at a time, and although I thought the Har Gow dumplings were quite good, as they weren't too gummy or over-cooked. The Beef Mai weren't as flavorful and were quite gummy, and I instantly regretted not getting their more traditional Pork Siu Mai. But the real star of my lunchtime had to have been their Baked BBQ Pork Buns as they were filled with a ton of BBQ Pork, and cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sweetness combined with savoriness. I cannot wait to come back to Dim Sum Bistro some of their cooked to order dishes like their Beef Stew Wonton Rice Vermicelli Soup or their Steamed Pork Ribs with Rice, as none of their dishes are over 10 dollars, which again is nothing short of remarkable in this day and age. Dim Sum Bistro has now taken the lead in my quest to find the best all-around dim sum restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown and the competition has been numerous and quite fierce, so that certainly says something!

Ginny F.

Yelp
Ordered for a potluck but they were missing 2 items in my order. Appreciated Grubhub for the refund but this doesn't help the lack of food to bring.

Li F.

Yelp
This place is great. You can tell by the huge number of people waiting to get their food. Wait time could be long if you come at the popular times (10am -12pm). I appreciate the self-order kiosk. Takes the pressure out of ordering. I do wish they optimize for small orders and get those taken care of sooner instead of getting stuck behind huge orders.

Linda P.

Yelp
3.5 star because Har gao was best. Chicken shumai & shrimp were appetizing I didn't care too much for the beef shumai texture. The deep fried meat dumpling i could've gone without since it was full of dough and barely any meat last couple %. Very good dough if you want fried dough. The chive dumplings had fresh soft outer layer. When you come, know this place is not a sitdown and only does takeout. Another customer was becoming impatient waiting for their Shanghai soup dumplings be patient if you want those to cook, the order says (15min) but based on what I ordered I'll gather he probably waited a lot longer. My order of 12lines (eyes bigger than mouth) already had me waiting around 20min, make sure you have enough funds in your meter. Spring roll we had felt refried and dark/ hard. I'll go back for Har Gao and shu Mai chicken/ shrimp

Britt O.

Yelp
Perfect sui mai. Great prices. Speedy and helpful cashiers. No seating so be forewarned, but certainly worth stopping by.

Kady L.

Yelp
I've been visiting Dim Sum Bistro for a light snack the past two days and I am seriously impressed. First, I tried the 69. Scallion Pan Cake (~6 pieces for $4.25) which took about 10-15 minutes, as it was made to order. It was hot, flakey, and had great flavor! The next day, I ordered har gow, or 22. Steamed Shrimp & Chive Dumplings ($3.70) which came with 3 dumplings. They were already made, so no wait. The har gow was sooo tasty and I devoured it quickly. So far, this is the best tasting dim sum I've ever had! I wish I lived in Chinatown so I could eat it every day.

Chang T.

Yelp
My favorite dim sum place in Chinatown that won't break the bank. It's self service with their kiosks machine or you can go the counter. The ambience is noise but in a good way.

Nyla K.

Yelp
Came here because the other popular to go dim sum place was closed. There was a line out the building with chaos with ordering and pick up. There are two options for ordering; via a machine or with a person. You get a number and wait for it to be called. Ignore the screen with numbers because that wasn't working. Listen closely to the ladies since they are calling out your number. I waited about 45 minutes unfortunately. The dumplings were ok. Not amazing but good for value. I would only come again if the wait was like 10 minutes!

Lauren L.

Yelp
Our go to take our place for dim sum! Credit card accepted but cash is preferred. They have deals where if you spend $35 or more you get a 2 ct. free item (rice cake or egg roll). You can order on the machine -you can see pictures on there , or with a person. Lines could get long and waits could be 15 mins or more. Some specific items actually tell you that it will be a longer wait compared to other items. Everything comes out hot and fresh here. Keep in mind they automatically charge you for bags unless you tell them you have your own. Some highlights are the chilli oil wonton, chive and onion dumpling, the rice rolls, deep fried pork puff, and shrimp Dumpling. Prices are pretty reasonable. They have enough popularity and volume to keep turning fresh items. Hole in the wall place and depending on who you get in the front depends on the service. Come here for the good food. Local, authentic, fresh, safe, and fast.

Claudia C.

Yelp
Dim Sum Bistro, similarly to Good Mong Kok Bakery (another local favorite dim sum spot), is very much one of those typical "hole in the wall" asian restaurant in the US. So, on what occasion would you find yourself at Dim Sum Bistro? Well, you want affordable food and you could care less about service. To further elaborate, the restaurant is not a sit down restaurant. The interior is small so when a line forms (in which it almost always does) the restaurant feels crowded. While the line to take your order proceeds quickly, there is another line of people patiently standing by till their order is called. The food itself is alright, taking into consideration how cheap the food is. While you do have staple items like Shrimp and Pork Siu Mai, Turnip Cake with Pork, Preserved Egg w/ Pork Porridge, (+a separate order of) Chinese Fried Donut, you do also occasionally find yourself ordering foods that you are better off not ordering. All the Rice Noodle Roll items we ordered: Shrimp, Pork, and Beef were disappointing. The ratio of the rice roll to stuffing was just off - mainly the noodle rolls were weirdly thick and there was little actual filling inside. Perhaps to save on extra costs. On top of the above mentioned items, I also ordered their Pan Fried Shrimp and Chive Dumplings which were alright and a couple other items like their Pan Fried Shrimp Cutlets and Deep Fried Sesame Ball, which were completely missed. Not sure why they gave us Rice Cake instead but by the time we were back home with food, it did not make sense to go back just to correct the order. While it might make sense to order food to go from Dim Sum Bistro for convenient, cheap food, I do not think it is worth it to wait in line for an extended period. The establishment is again small and there is no area to sit and wait for your food, whether that be inside or outside. If that does sound like you though, have a fun 40+ minute wait or perhaps come back when the place is least crowded.

Stacy T.

Yelp
A grab and go dim sum that hits the spot when you have a craving but don't want to go to a sit down restaurant. They have a tablet that you can order from (with pictures) so don't fear if you don't speak Chinese! They even take credit which is a big plus. I usually just get the crystal shrimp dumplings or some pork and shrimp variation plus a few egg custard buns. All solid, fresh and fast! Prices are very reasonable too - about $3-$4 per order which is usually 3 golf ball sized dumplings.

Brian C.

Yelp
My spot for dimsum takeout is closed for vacation so had to make a trip out to Chinatown. Ordered at the register and was surprised to find out I could have ordered online. Everything was clear with an extra large point of sale display and the prices are fine. Chinatown is a busy place, but not as busy as before. On a Thursday, was able to find a parking spot a few minutes walk away. They take card, but the food is takeout only. No dine in. Ordered Steamed BBQ bun, chive and shrimp dimsum, wonton noodle soup, and an order of sesame balls. The soup is an amazing value and it was just what I needed to enjoy the waterfront view at the Marina greens. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Next time I'll have to try the online ordering. ETA - went again on a Friday. Tried the online ordering, and unfortunately the restaurant was slammed with orders. Was hoping my order would be ready having ordered and already paid ahead of time. I had arrived in 30mins, and called to check if my order was ready. A lady who didn't speak much English said 'order ready'. So I set my parking meter for 5mins since it should have been a simple matter of picking it up. Lots of in person and kiosk orders were being tended to. Uber Eats and DoorDash orders were getting priority and flying out the door. After 15mins and remotely extending the parking meter, I finally got someone's attention and they said my order would take 20mins to fill. I was astonished as it had already been 45mins since my order went through and the lady on the phone confirmed it was ready for pick up. I asked if they could just give me something cold that didn't need heating instead, so it would be ready right away. They filled most of my order, then gave me a random assortment of dimsum to compensate for the item that would take 20mins. Not a happy compromise as I had a travel deadline, and going to this restaurant was already out of the way, so I agreed. Thought I found another favorite spot that I would always go to, and I might give them another chance when the need arises. But the hassle of just being in Chinatown was already a bit much. Maybe I was really hangry and stressed about impending traffic doom, but 45mins -1hr to fill a paid order is way too slow. They didn't even see my ticket until I told them several times I had an online order. To be positive and offer some constructive criticism, this restaurant has good food at a standard price and is hardworking and nice. But they could definitely focus on streamlining. One way I noticed is by having the utensil and condiment packet already prepared instead of doing it for each order. Lastly this may be obvious, but if you're in a rush on a Friday, try a DoorDash or Uber Eats. It might be worth the extra charge to enjoy these good eats stress free.

Melinda L.

Yelp
Okay, if you're looking for a no fuss dim sum place, this spot is G.O.O.D. I've been here over a handful of times when I am in San Fran. Another bonus is that they offer online ordering through their own website (maybe here on Yelp, you guys will have to check that out lol). It's a take-out style dim sum place, so you'll have an array of choices for dim sum, from Shrimp Har Gow, Siu Mai, Char Siu Baos, Fun Gou, to simple plates like Bone-in Pork and Bok Choy with Black Bean Sauce (it's basic, but hella good IMO!), to rice porridge, or even large quantity of different meat cuts like Ox Tail, but you gotta place those orders ahead of time in person or on the phone. If you're just walking in, just follow the line to the register, which is closest to the middle of the shop. They'll get your order in, then the other ladies with pack them for you. Wait times here really varies, because they're working on both live orders and online orders, and they max times only have two ladies working up front. They really do get busy, so don't be mad if it takes 15 minutes or so to pack any bigger orders! The staff can speak limited English, but can speak Cantonese. If you know Cantonese, your orders can definitely get done a little faster - again, don't rush them! As for payments, they take credit/debit cards and of course cash. There's no minimum on a card, but come on....you're gonna be buying at least $10-$15 minimum and more. So, no problemo. There's a lot of dim sum choices in the area, this one is the best one on Broadway and they are synced with modern times with online orders. Can't really go wrong here. Go get that dim sum!!

Yelp
I stopped by on Saturday to get a steamed meat and veggie bao 菜肉包. There were a good amount of people waiting, but it wasn't too crowded. I ordered on the screen, and literally like 30 seconds after I submitted the order, the auntie said it was ready. The dough was super fluffy and slightly sweet. The filling was flavorful without being too heavy, and it had a good mix of meat and veggie. It made for a great savory snack!! With tax, tip, credit card fee, and bag fee, the total was $2.45.

Yelp
I live really close to Chinatown and upon my entry to the dim sum l world, I really over did it. I went to several different places and I liked them all. I ended up circling back often. I had my go to spots but for some reason this was not one of them. I got some inside information about this one. I got the BBQ pork bun, fried beef ball, sticky rice ball and custard bun. The first thing you need to know is I've had a lot of BBQ pork buns, More than any other dim sum item by a mile. As far as I am concerned that should be everyone's go to. A BBQ pork bun is a masterclass of properly prepared swine and a beautiful sweet roll. This is where the two worlds collide between bakery and meat. If executed correctly it is divine. I've had several elite level Pork Buns and this one holds claim as #1. In sheer size and flavor this one gets it done. It's number 1 defining characteristic is how tender the pork is. I have no problem calling this the best BBQ pork bun in China town. Don't I look like an expert on pork buns? The fried beef ball was pretty standard to the others I've had. The sticky rice ball was interesting. It was like a fried rice dumpling. What's not to like about that? Custard bun was satisfactory. There were so many other things I wanted to try but the room in my stomach is limited. This is my favorite dim sum place in China town. Enough said. (4.7 Stars)

Yelp
My favorite dim sum to-go/take-out place in SF. This small, cozy shop filled with hustling aunties was a gem! There was little to no line on a Monday morning and service was quick. Really appreciate the convenience from ordering on the kiosk, complete with pictures. There doesn't seem to be a dine in option, in case that was your plan. Everything was fresh and came out piping hot! The chicken sticky rice and BBQ pork buns were massive like everything else. Their Chinese donut was light and crispy, but I cant say the same for the deep fried pork puff (too greasy!). The wrapper on the har gao and the pork noodle roll were still a bit thick but not as thick compared to other dim sum spots. Prices were very fair and portions were generous. Overall, the quality and quantity really mask any complaints I have, especially compared to other dim sum spots around SF. I'm already excited thinking about the next time I swing by.

Yelp
This place is a small and crowded hole in the wall in Chinatown. The food primarily is takes-out and it's delicious!!! We have ordered a number of their items on occasion and have never been disappointed. The items we enjoy are: Baked BBQ buns, Pork Siu Mai, The Chinese Tamale that has the pork, Chinese sausage and egg in it and Rice stick noodles. This place is a well oiled machine and you get more than you pay for here. It's very reasonable!!!

Yelp
Dim Sum Bistro sells various dim sum items. The siu mai and dumplings are huge. Eating about 4-5 could fill you up and they are very affordable as well. They are delicious as well. Coming from a smaller state, I was disappointed with the no indoor seating and table service. All orders are to go and I am not accustomed to this type of dim sum. By the time you arrived home, the food is cold already. The inside is small and is patched. There's barely space for you to stand after you've placed your order. Dim sum bistro is definitely a good quick bite, cheap eat, solely operated as a to go food place. If this is something that you are looking for, then this is the place for you.

Yelp
Great place for a quick bite. Prices are really good 13 bucks filled me up. All Foods to go only but it's still fire!!!!

Yelp
I loved the Sticky Rice Balls, Deep Fried Sesame Ball, Steamed Shrimp and Chive Dumplings. And the Egg rolls were good. It's all take out, so we sat in our car to eat, but parking ain't easy. Ordering is a little tricky or the novice, but worth it.

Yelp
For quick dim sum it's perfect and it's a fast food. You cannot sit inside but you order take out. Service is slow and if you use the machine when you walk in, your order may take so much longer than ordering through the lady in the front. The place itself isn't the cleanest to look at, however I closed one eye. The prices are reasonable, it's fast, and convenient so I don't mind. The food is very reasonable and the taste is pretty bland but it's decent for the price. I am not going to complain much. You know what you get when you pay those prices. I can get worse so I'm not saying much more about it

Yelp
This is a go to for dim sum with a huge menu and very solid fare at great prices. Highly recommend the shumai, any of the tea leaves wraps, and corn cakes. The wait is usually around 10-15 minutes but worth it.

Yelp
Reasonably priced and really tasty! It's a little off the beaten path but it's worth the extra steps to get there. It would be great if you could eat in but the food traveled home well.

Yelp
Take out only with an iPad kiosk helps keep things moving in this small hole in the wall. Anything not on the iPad, you can order with the cashier. Delicious and fresh, this dim sum spot hit my cravings just right! Can't wait to come back

Yelp
We were in the mood for dim sum but didn't want to deal with looking for parking in Chinatown so we looked for a good restaurant we could doordash from. We lucked out and found a great one at DS Bistro. The steamed bbq pork baos are large and so inexpensive, 6 for$13? Everything was quite tasty from the siu mai to the shark fin dumplings. A ton of food (see the picture of the receipt) for $100.40??? Get outta town! A true feast with leftovers for later in the day. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is authentic, the portions generous, and the prices are oh so reasonable. Our delivery was made by bicycle but arrived quickly and everything was nice and hot upon arrival. A beautiful way to start my Father's Day morning. And I still had my daily ice cream crepe coming later. Oh happy happy joy joy!

Yelp
Okay, I am from Hong Kong and I know Dim Sum. This place only serves do to-go order, no table for customers to sit and eat. I ordered the Ha Gaw, Chicken Feet, Siu Mei and Black Bean Short Ribs. Everything is up to standard, except the short ribs. 1)Chicken Feet has just the right amount of flavor and also crispy. It is definitely fleshly made and not reheated. 4.5 stars 2)Ha gow and Siu Mei are also good. Both are normal, medium sized but big in flavor. 4.5 stars again 3) the black bean short ribs. 0 stars. It has a distinctive meat spoiled taste (一朕餿味 in cantonese). I have no choice but to throw it away after my best effort to at least finish half of it has failed. The lady who took my order is very nice. I highly recommend this place if you like to try some authetic Dim Sum. I will take it that the short ribs is a rare oversight.

Yelp
Finally tried this spot after a friend recommended it and it was great! We ordered delivery via DoorDash since we don't live the closest to Chinatown and the food was excellent. Great prices and everything was good. We ordered for two people: Steamed shrimp and chives dumpling Har gau Shark's fin dumpling (never had this before!) Sticky rice Steamed custard bun Favorites were the steamed shrimp and chives and the shark fin. Sticky rice was also very good. The custard bun was probably my least favorite item but it was still good. Always looking for a go-to dim sum spot that's closer than the Richmond and this might be it. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Yelp
Doordashed an order to my hotel in SF. Chose this place after reading the Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. We had Hong Kong style shrimp won ton soup (very good), steamed pork and shrimp siu mai (very good an don the large side), and steamed chicken with rice (good, but each piece of which was cut through the bone so they all had bone in them, much as flaken-style ribs might). Menu looks great. To-go packaging was good and it came with sauces and utensils. I'd love to go there in person sometime. Definitely great to to-go.

Yelp
Delicious food. I will come back for dim sum here. Only con is gets busy so there will be a wait.
