Dimo's Pizza Lincoln Square

Dimo’s was delicious! I loved the decor in the space; particularly the lights by the bar and the orange circular art piece on the wall. It is also in a lovely spot in Lincoln Square; it is great to walk around the area afterwards. I appreciated that they had reasonably-priced mocktails and non-alcoholic drink options; there were a few Dry January specials, but it seems to be something offered year round. We tried the smoked cauliflower, which was fairly good, but the highlight was the pizza slices. The pizza slices were delicious and a good bang for your buck. I had the White Pie and the Speck Di Luna, which I realized are pretty similar, but the latter has more ingredients piled on it, including arugula, pineapple, and speck. My friend had an issue with her pizza slice—they accidentally gave her pizza with dairy when she ordered a vegan one—but it was remedied by the staff. Overall, I had a good experience, and I would definitely come back.

My friend and I went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice up-beat atmosphere, and kid-friendly. I ordered a cocktail and it was quite good. We both ordered a Reuben sandwich. Unfortunately, it was quite bland, nearly tasteless. We asked for some mustard to help improve flavor, and they didn't have mustard. What restaurant doesn't have mustard?? I'm sure their other food is quite good, but unless you like bland, don't try the Reuben.

Horribly inefficient operation. I’ve been sitting here for 40 minutes waiting on an appetizer. Not the servers fault; was told they’re backed up. This restaurant is small, and there’s next to no reason shaved Brussel sprouts and a couple of slices should take near an hour to land to the table. Save yourself the grief and go to Pizza Lobo or Jimmy’s, better pizza and way better experience overall.

We dined on 6/20/2024 and brought family in who were Vegan. Food and drinks were great. Our server, a young woman with brunette and purple (I think) tips was WONDERFUL. She took her time with each guest and even though she was the only server, did her best with how crowded it was. The bartender was AWFUL. He stood behind it with 4 guests and did nothing. After 15 minutes or so of a full house, he spoke to one carry out driver and ran 2 drinks. He seemingly refused to help on the floor. I felt so bad for the server. And she stayed positive, didn’t show any frustration, and made the best of it. The bartender had longer hair, kind of like a mullet. I was embarrassed for him since I think the entire dining room saw how he left her to fend for herself.

Love the location and the vibe. Service is usually slow, and they always seem short staffed. But it's the quality of the food that makes me not want to return. I've received under cooked chicken with an order of the Thai drumsticks, burn pizza slices three times, and a burned whole pie once where the prosciutto was burnt to blacken crisps that had to be picked off. I keep coming back hoping it would get better, but I think I'm done trying with this place. There are better options out there.

The food NEVER misses!! It soooo good. The chopped brussel sprout salad is my absolute favorite jam!! The staff is friendly and efficient. i love this place so much, it's my go to when my kids are gone and I don't have to share!!!

The holy Grail of pizza for me, other than breakfast pizza, is Mac n Cheese pizza, and Dimos has it. Unfortunately, I had to go off my plant-based diet to eat it but I dream of the day when a vegan version will be just as good. I also couldn't resist the Elote slice; it's amazing what you can put on a pizza crust! So good. No pics, people. Go check it out for yourself. If you're a visitor to Chicago, do yourself a favor - get away from the touristy places and seek out the local pizza joints. Your welcome.

I really liked the Dimo in lakeview, I have to say, the pizza here is better than the ones in lakeview. also, finally a pizza by the slice place in lincoln square. I tried the pep 2.0 and the sausage slice. sausage: crispy and soft airy crust. the sause is flavorful, not too sweet but has a good tomato taste to it. just the right amount of cheese and sauce. the sausage is fairly seasoned yet not overwhelming. it was really enjoyable. but again, I'm more of a sausage fan in general lol pep 2.0: it's like if you put melted vanilla ice cream on a pizza. not a fan. I have had pizza with spicy honey before and liked it, but this combination is not the same. the ricotta cheese while not sweet, but because the pizza itself is drenched in honey, it end up tasting like melted vanila ice cream. the honey somehow has a vanilla flavor; it overwhelms the sauce, the pepperoni, and all other seasoning on the pizza. quite a nightmare to eat lol and I enjoyed pineapple on pizza once so u know this is crossing multiple lines. lol ironic bc we were talking about how can anyone mess up pizza lol welp..
