The Chefs of LUFU NOLA Are Branching Out With Boba, Oysters, and Fried Seafood | Eater New Orleans

"Opened in mid-July at 337 Baronne Street, I noted it serves milk and fruit teas, souffle slushies, coffee, and croffles (pressed croissant waffles) with toppings like banana Nutella, Biscoff, mango graham cracker, and takoyaki." - Clair Lorell

SO delicious!! Came across this hidden gem and decided to stop in for a taste with my bestie. We first shared one tonkatsu sando and it was so good! The flavors and textures were perfect! We ended up also getting a strawberry sando and an ube strawberry sando. I’ve had the traditional ones in Japan many many times, and these hit the spot and were so flavorful!

First of all, this place can "not be halal" because they cook their chicken and pork in same oil. So please be very careful. Now , we loved their strawberry cheesecake drink. I personally didn't like the dessert items we bought but my daughter loved it. Parking is the biggest issue.

Best Boba around. Service is incredible. I go at least once or twice a week. Besides Boba they have awesome flavors for lemonade. Honey has to be the best boba barista in all of Nola. Not sure if she is the owner but one would think so. She always has the freshest tapioca in my boba with the Perfect amount of cheese foam all served with a lovely smile. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Cozy and fun place to hangout with friends and closed ones. Plus their drink menus and snacks are amazing!!! My personal favorite will be Yakut with lychee ❤️

I LOVED everything I got from here. I did the tomago sando with the strawberry and ube cream sando ❤️ I also did the whipped coffee which was out of this world. I will totally be back, the restaurant has a cute vibe, great seating and in the beautiful CBD

Here on vaca. I am from Flushing, Queens, the heart of Boba tea in NYC. This place is better than any place I have been to in NYC. As a family we tried: Chocolate Oolong Tea, KFC sando, tonkatsu sando, strawberry ube, and strawberry creme. Phenomenal. Coming back tomorrow LOL.

The staff were super friendly and everything was sooo good! They have this dessert called croffles, and they're a must try. My friends and I got the biscoff one, banana nutella, and mango graham. For the drinks, we got a monster boba latte and red grapefruit iced tea :)

Cute decor, great staff, a lot of options. I got the strawberry milk tea. Paid extra for the pearls. The taste was just okay. Average strawberry milk tea. Felt overpriced. But I guess you are paying for the location and the vibes.

Yelp
It was empty when I went. I actually stopped by because I was craving the guava but sadly they were sold out. I ended up getting the mango passion fruit. It was refreshing and more on the sweet side. Still not bad for boba in New Orleans. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
It's so exciting to see a new boba spot pop up in downtown New Orleans! I tried a Mangonada drink and it was really interesting and ton of flavor - very unique and they added chili spice into the drink as well. I hope to also try all the desserts on their menu my next visit - I was excited to see that they have croffles on their menu. The servers here are really nice and they also have a kiosk ordering system as well!

Yelp
When service and quality go hand in hand! This was such a cute spot with the most sweetest staff. I loved the mangonada and the shrimp sando. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Get your Boba tea here. Quick easy ordering and service. Nice location in the CBD. Next time going to get a different flavor boba. There is so many to choose from on a hot summer day.

Yelp
I was craving a little bit of Japan and Ding Tea definitely hit the spot. I got the KFC sando. It was the perfect amount of spicy. I can't wait to go back and try something else!

Yelp
If I wanted sour water I would buy a lemon with water. Worst drink ever. Honey, kiwi, basil. Don't do it, stay away.

Yelp
This is such a cute tea spot. Have a cute little patio set up outside with a few chairs on a comfortable sofa like bench. They have board games and what not available for kids and anybody really. You can come here and play some games. enjoy your drink maybe even get a snack. A lot of people seem to come here after work. Most of the time they look like they've placed online orders. I had never been so I definitely wanted to stop in myself. They have some cute plush on display. I'm sure they are just for decoration, but my little one enjoyed snuggling with them as we enjoyed our drinks together. On the menu it does list popcorn, chicken. When we went to order it, however, the cashier let us know that it is not something that they have on their menu any longer. She said that they haven't had it for a while, but for some reason, the store owner hasn't removed it. My auntie stopped in. She ordered the egg sandwich. She absolutely loved it. She ordered three more throughout the week that we were in town. I really wanted to try the Ube strawberry sandwich, but just never quite got around to it at a time when the shop was open. It was kind of weird. There was one day that my friends from Tennessee came to visit us in Louisiana, at our hotel. We wanted to walk across the street with our kids and family to grab a treat at this shop. They were not open. It was well before the said closing time of 9 PM but for whatever reason they were closed already. That was a bummer. I had never had this thing called a croffle. It sounds like it was a cross between a croissant and a waffle. Anyway, whatever it was, I was interested in trying a new dessert. It was covered in Nutella and sliced almonds. It was extremely rich and thick it but oh my God it was so good. I shared it with my other half and our kiddo. After finishing it, we all agreed that we could share another one. We never did go back for another croffle... but we did keep talking about it. If you like Nutella, you should definitely try that dessert. It is so good. The shop is very simple. You order your drink at the counter. You pay there as well if not on the kiosk machine. You wait for it, they call your name or number. You can retrieve your drink at the counter. One thing that kind of bugged me was that one this person who made my dessert brought it out for me, They took all this time to take pictures of it before giving it to me. I kept thinking to myself. I hope that is not mine. She's taking a long time to put it together and put it in a bag. Isn't it getting cold while she's taking all these pictures? I don't know. That was something that bothered me. Maybe it's because I really wanted to be the first one to take pictures of the dessert myself, but no matter. It was still really good. Over the course of a week while I stayed at the hotel just across the street, I came here almost every day. I always had something new and it was always good. Even my little one enjoyed coming here with me even if they didn't get anything. I would definitely come back here again. It is the tiniest storefront. You really have to look for it, but if you are on Baronne street, just know that it is across the street from the electric company building, which is actually the Fairfield hotel.

Yelp
Sandos are super tasty and the takoyaki is LEGIT. However, it took a literal our for us to get our order. It seems their kitchen is tiny and can't handle more than one fried thing at a time. I want this business to stick around, but this kind of wait time in the CBD is concerning.

Yelp
SO YUMMY I love their bubble tea!!! There's so many yummy options, like the honey kumquat fruit tea boba with aloe pulp and their little strawberry sandwiches are a perfect dessert topping. Quick and easy ordering too. Oh and they have mortal enemies vintage arcade game!!

Yelp
It's the best spot to get boba in downtown area must visit spot! Don't miss out the banana Nutella crofell !
