The 20 Best Pizza Restaurants In LA

"The Valley has plenty of old-school pizzerias with devoted followings and fans who bicker over which is best. We're loyal to Dino’s. With over 38 specialty pizzas, the menu at this Burbank classic can feel a bit overwhelming, so we’ll narrow it down: get the lasagna pizza topped with Italian sausage, meatballs, and whipped ricotta. It’s a pizza that could easily be messy, but the expert placement of toppings and a crispy, medium-thick crust keeps it all in harmony. Dino’s runs a swift takeout operation, but make time to eat in their kitschy dining room that feels like a sunroom at someone's grandparents' fishing cabin." - brant cox, nikko duren, sylvio martins

The 18 Best Restaurants In Burbank

"Who makes the best pizza in the Valley? Dino's is in the conversation. You've probably eaten these pies on the lot without realizing their source and thought, "Hmm, this sure is good pizza" before returning to your task. With over 38 specialty pies available, Dino's menu can feel like the Wild West, so we’ll narrow it down for you: get the lasagna pizza. Topped with Italian sausage, meatballs, and whipped ricotta, the pizza sounds messy. It's not. Between the expert topping placement and a crispy, medium-thick crust, it all holds together remarkably well. Dino’s runs a swift takeout operation, but make time at least once to eat in their old-school dining room, which looks like the sunroom at someone's grandparents' fishing cabin." - brant cox

15 LA Restaurants With Free Parking

"We’ve written several love notes to Dino’s Pizza over the years, but those mostly have to do with ricotta-filled lasagna pizzas and its kitschy Burbank dining room that feels like you’re eating at someone's grandparents' fishing cabin. This love note, however, is about their spacious front parking lot—an amenity that’s not always a given, even in Burbank. If you stop in for lunch, you’ll have the place to yourself, but even at night when things are busier, most people are just there for pick-up, so spots open up quickly. The 31 Best Restaurants In The San Fernando Valley - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"We’re just going to say it: Dino’s makes the best pizza in the Valley. With over 38 specialty pizzas, the menu at this Burbank classic can feel a bit like the wild west, so we’ll narrow it down for you: get the lasagna pizza. The Italian sausage, meatballs, and whipped ricotta could easily eat like a mess, but the expert placement of toppings on each slice and a crispy, medium-thick crust keeps things balanced. Dino's Pizza Review - Burbank - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Best pizza in the Valley? That would be Dino’s. The Burbank stand-by is probably best known as that pizza you eat everyday on the studio lot and never realize it probably came from Dino’s. With over 38 specialty pizzas, their menu can feel a bit like the wild west at times, so let us help you - you want the sausage and meatball-topped lasagna pizza. Badly. Dining inside their old-school space off Burbank Blvd. is also very much recommended." - Brant Cox

Google
Great pizzas and salads in a fun retro setting. Dino’s pizza was a great option on a busy night for a yummy and filling dinner at an affordable price. It’s counter service and they were friendly - slight negative for some non-customers walking into the dining area and looking around a bit sketchily. Everything tasted fresh and I would return!

I had heard this establishment was the best pizza joint evah and not was I unimpressed. Smallish meatballs, four in their large hoagie. That was a joke at $15. A single slice of pepperoni was also had and wow why so floppy and raw with the dough but the meat is shriveled and crisped as though near burnt? Like did something happen to the pizza maker 3000? Can't blame the brick oven, there isn't one. How did this place obtain greatness from radio stations but hit like a foul ball?! Could he be the downturn from 2020n onwards or was it always and still is garbage? Maybe I had a bad foul tip setting me up for a home run next time I try but I'm discouraged to give that second attempt. Is certainly hate to strike out but that's the way the cookie crumbles

Google
Looked up reviews and also my friend recommended this spot so we had to try it out. Got the usual make your own with pepperoni, jalapeno, pineapple and it was perfect. Crispy crust and had nice weight to it. All the ingredients tasted fresh. If I'm ever back here again I know where I'm getting my pizza from!

Google
I almost don't want to share this review. I'm worried people will see it and flood one of my favorite pizza places. The staff here are simply the very best. The pizza is absolutely incredible, it's the kind of pizza that ALWAYS hits the spot whether you're craving pizza or not. Please give this local gem some love they deserve it!

Google
Feels like an old pizzeria in the best sort of way. The pizza is delicious! Just know if you order by the slice, two slices is pretty much a small pizza. They are very big, and oh so tasty!

James “805cycle”

Google
Great pizza! The crust has great crispness and doesn’t get soggy. Dino has traditional toppings but has unique combos. Imagine spaghetti as your toppings or lasagna. The salads are top notch with homemade dressings, not bottle.

Google
A great place for a family night out. I had a simple pepperoni and jalapeño pizza, which was delicious. My wife had a specialty pizza with goat cheese. The root beer was also tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Not a fancy place, but it feels like a great neighborhood staple.

Google
The food was good. The establishment itself looked outdated and it looked like it definitely is going to need some tlc very soon. I will say it did have a cozy feel to it. The service at least in with my experience could have been better. The tables were left unbussed for a really long time. So we had to sit at a dirty table. And when one of the guys came out he started bussing tables that didn’t have people in it. We flagged him down and asked him if he could clean our table. We weren’t rude. But he responded very annoyed and proceeded to clean the empty tables before getting to our last even though we were already sat down. Not sure if he was having a bad day but it was uncomfortable for us and the people they witnessed it as well.

Yelp
Greasy, but flavorful thin crust pizza that was served quickly. Our party of 5 finished of a large pizza and a few sides. The location had a person assigned to clean up and that made the experience better. We enjoyed the meal and plan to be back.

Yelp
I had a wonderful pizza here. I'll be back to have another! Some would say it is the world's best pizza. The service here was wonderful too! And, the ambiance really takes it to the next level. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
*INDIVIDUAL SLICES SERVED UNTIL 2PM* Driven past Dino's a handful of times and it had always caught my attention. So I gave into curiosity and gave them a try! Being instantly greeted by staff and surrounded by "Ma-Pa Pizza joint" vibes, I went ahead and ordered a small cheese and medium mega meat lovers pizza. The pies came out shortly after placing the order (no more that 15mins). The cheese pizza was delicious, can't go wrong with cheese. The Mega Meat Lovers was exactly that... MEGA MEAT! Topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, ham, Canadian and Apple smoked bacon, so if your taste buds like to meet meat... the Mega Meat Lover will happily oblige that encounter! Definitely recommend to those in the area and will be back to continue o explore their menu!

Yelp
Dino's Pizza exceeded my expectations with their thin crust Margherita pizza! The crust was perfectly crispy and light, providing a wonderful base for the fresh ingredients. The tomatoes were vibrant and juicy, and the basil added a refreshing touch. The balance of flavors was spot on, and the mozzarella was delightfully gooey. The service was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. I can't wait to come back for another slice!

Shiran Z.

Yelp
This place is a cute little gem, Simple with pretty good pizza. Better than all the pizza chains out here
google avatar

Pier P.

Yelp
Not the worst pizza, but not the best. Crust was uneven and chewy. Toppings were thrown on. Maybe my expectations were too high, but Dino's was just OK. That's not how pizza should be. It didn't taste that different from pizza you can buy at the grocery store and heat in your oven at home. Service was unfriendly and rushed. I'm not going back.

Yelp
My new go-to pizza place! I put in my order online. I had it delivered. The driver was so nice! The pizza was so hot! It was so delicious! We are so happy!
google avatar

Kieran W.

Yelp
This place was great! Pizza was delicious, easy to find, easy to order, and lots of patio seating. We were a party of 8 and we only waited about 10 minutes for the food to come out. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Kristina R.

Yelp
Was craving pasta! And my cravings were very satisfied! Staff is friendly and the portion of food for the price is 10/10! Definitely will come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Great ambiance You order at the counter and pay Then they bring the food to you in the dining room: very casual atmosphere Good food and plenty of choices! Only issue: the parking it is super small but I hear patrons are parking across the street in the Smart and final parking lot

Em K.

Yelp
This place is great when you want to have a dine-in experience. Definitely should eat it immediately after it comes out of the oven! The crust on the pizza was fantastic! The dippers are their garlic knots and were very fluffy! There is a parking lot. Indoor seating which is air conditioned. Service is great, friendly, and helpful. Dippers (8/10) Pizza (8/10)

Danielle N.

Yelp
Love this pizza. I even like the crust and I never eat the crust on other pizzas. Expect grease. It comes from natural ingredients and lots of cheese.
google avatar

Caitlyn C.

Yelp
Dino's Pizza is one of the really good pizza spots in Burbank for sure. Their salads and pizza are always so yummy every time I go. I really love their pizza dough because it tastes homemade and fresh. The crunch and chew of the crust is something I really enjoy. I've dined in a few times with my dad and they have a super cozy dine in area and friendly service.
google avatar

Pete K.

Yelp
No frills except good food. This is like a small town pizza place and anyone I bring here is wildly impressed with the pizza. The place isn't fancy but they have some tables and non-dating matching chairs in the side room. The focus isn't decor or fancy seating, it's making good pizza and that's what that do. Loads of toppings and good crust, a lot of places claim it but this is the best traditional pie in the city.
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
Spaghetti pizza, lasagna pizza!!!! A friend turned me onto it a few years ago and now every time I'm in the area, I have to get me some Dino's

Austin B.

Yelp
This place has gone so far down hill. I ordered the most basic pizza of all. A cheese pizza. Cheese slides completely off with one bite. The sauce beneath isn't spread evenly, and the crust feels like it's been sitting out for 3 days. Stale and rubbery almost. Mediocre ingredients, cheap quality, expensive price tag. You'll be better off just grabbing a frozen pizza from a grocery store.
google avatar

Leigh M.

Yelp
Very convenient location, excellent pizza and reasonable prices. The lady at irking the counter was very nice as well. There's a small seating area but I didn't sit down.

Yelp
Needing to satisfy my wife's pizza fix on our tour of SoCal, we went to Dino's in Burbank, which purportedly serves some of the best pies in town. The online reviews were correct--Dino's delivers. We ordered an extra large with Canadian bacon and Roma tomatoes (and pineapples on the other half for our son). After a reasonable wait, the pizza arrived piping hot and cheese gooey as hell. The first winning trademark of Dino's pizza is its crust (we ordered the regular)--completely crispy on the top and bottom and slightly burnt, but somehow melts in your mouth. It could have used more salt, but one of the best crusts I have encountered. The second is the sauce. Almost like marinara and it looked and tasted like it was made freshly in-house. The cheese was equally excellent and the three of us demolished our XL pie like champs. Quick and friendly service rounded out our visit. (4 stars).

Yelp
Visited this neighborhood gem a few days ago. Pizza was top notch and especially delicious right out of the oven since we ate there at the restaurant this visit. The service/friendliness from the behind the counter gent could have been cranked up a few degrees, but the gent bringing out our food made up for it with his service. I'm sure we'll be back for a pizza or two in the near future.

Lorena M.

Yelp
There food good it's just hot in there they need air conditioner more for customer s. Food delicious
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
A solid local pizza joint. The dough was a little sweet for me and the cheese a little salty, but overall, the pizza was decent. The Mediterranean salad was good and the portion was awesome. Not my favorite pizza ever, but the staff were friendly, prices fair, and my kids liked it.
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Got some pizza to go. Heard good things about the lasagna pizza. It was excellent. Great ratio on the toppings. Good crust. I would definitely recommend getting this.
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
Consistent and they don't skimp on pizza toppings, so it's pretty good for the price. However, the taste is just a little off to me. The dough tasted like it had sugar in it.

Liz D.

Yelp
Wonderful assortment of toppings, different sizes of crust, I like thin crust. Wish i took photos everytime we had one.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic pizza! Great old school crust that is amazing! Great courteous service. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've been to pumped to give Dino's pizza a try for as long as I can remember. I came once back in 2007, and was trying to remember what it was called ever since. So when I finally had the name come to mind, I couldn't wait to grab a bite. The indoor dining isn't very big - some seating outdoors as well - though on a Sunday night it wasn't too busy, however, more weekend times may be more hectic. We ordered at the counter and were skeptical on the sizing. For someone that eats 3-4 slices, an XL is more than enough. And let me first say that this pizza is to die for. The pizza was scorching hot, but tasted amazing. The cheese didn't melt off too much which made it easy to consume. Sauce was decadent and the crust is additionally very good. Dino's is definitely THE spot in the Burbank area. Some of the best pizza I have had in a while that I will definitely recommend to all my cohorts.

Yelp
Food is great but workers are miserable and customer service is not priority to anyone there. They do nothing to make you happy, very unaccommodating and couldn't care less. Was going to order from them monthly for our office but they not only refused to have everything ready by the time we requested for delivery but they suggested we pick up and when I did, the food wasn't even ready. The tall guy at the front should not be working with customers. He is not a compassionate person and does not want to hear any negative comments. Maybe step to the plate and you won't hear negative comments!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this little pizza joint :) can't believe it was my first time trying it !:) would def Recommend
google avatar

Harlow P.

Yelp
Food was great but the one star is for the terrible customer service. Space was tight and we had a big party for whom we did not have enough space in the biggest table, we put a chair at the end and one of the worked said "don't do that you're blocking the way" very rudely. We were not "blocking" the way because he went pass the chair but there are ways of saying things and we could've been accommodated a little better if that was such a hassle.

Jay V.

Yelp
2 / 5 rating Cost 2/5: 2 slices + a small drink was $17 + change Flavor 2/5: Pizza was greasy & stale. Reminded me of a pizza you'd buy frozen at a 7/11. The portion was fairly big, the ranch is mid & they don't have Parmesan cheese Service 1.5/5: the cashier seemed dismissive & the only person who seemed happy was the gentleman cutting tomatoes. The atmosphere was stale like the temperature inside restaurant
google avatar

Corey L.

Yelp
This was my first time here. Came with a bunch of guys and we all ordered different things. Most got pizza's. I will say the consistency was not there. Some pizza's looked good and some not so good. I must say the taste and quality of the food was sufficient. The service was good, no complaints but not engaging or trying to maintain cleanliness. Well this is all from my perspective too. The group I was with took up majority of the building so four of the tables were full from us. Which may had thrown a lot off, plus we ordered a lot of food. Parking was not easy but look at where this place is located. I gave it four stars because I feel if we did not slam them it would had been better. I seen a lot of people come and go which means it is a hot spot. If you're in this part of town, looking for pizza, stop in and let me know your thoughts.
google avatar

Evelyn G.

Yelp
Love this place been coming for years my favorite PIZZA is cheese and pepperoni so good and I love the California Salad with Italian dressing I never have a problem with the food but yes with the customer service the cashier Esther in the morning was so rude when I told her about the soda fountain not having carbonation she even walked out to try the sodas you can tell right away she was giving me attitude the whole time since she took my order and when I asked her for more dressing she wanted to see my table who knows for what reason I had to tell her to calm down some employees just hate their job or hate people i feel sorry for her but I do have to warn beware !!!!! Never coming during lunch time again. I'm not wasting my time telling Ed he's also another one that's rude too! Remember food great customer service NOT GOOD!
google avatar

Michele T.

Yelp
After a long work week, I decided to finally try Dino's Pizza in Burbank. Few things to note. I went onto website to order and I found it difficult to order a basic pepperoni pizza. Menu was not straightforward and wasn't designed for use on a "mobile phone". It was confusing and ultimately I had to just call the restaurant and order it. I walked in to pick up my order and found the young man at the counter, named Jerimiah, was not friendly or welcoming. I paid and wasn't thanked or told "enjoy your order". There was also an older gentleman at the counter who never even acknowledge me. I then walk out to back out of parking lot and was met with a difficult time exciting due to the fact that their parking lot is shared with an auto repair shop. I had to negotiate a six-point turn just to leave! Finally made it home and pizza was very tasty. But ultimately my decision to return to a restaurant is not solely based on taste but customer service is as equally important. Good luck.
google avatar

Ay G.

Yelp
If you like thick crust, this is the place to go in Burbank. Even the bad slice of Dino's (my friend always used to order a bunch of vegetables I don't like), it has good fundamentals. And they will put anything you want on there. That variety has a drawback-- the lasagna pizza isn't really a lasagna, just an attempt to glue your artery shut-- but with dozens and dozens of options, it's up to you what you get. Fluffy and delicious, never had any problems with delivery, in person or pick up.

H B.

Yelp
The food was good and people were nice. They really need real silverware for those that are staying and eating. The place could be really cute inside but needs new floor and some nice decor. The floors especially need to be safer the first chair I sat in. One of the feet of the chair went in a hole. The decor is not up to the price of the food standards.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
Last time here. Asked for pizza well done. Pizza was black. Burned. I called them on it. All I got got was a shi**y attitude from two employees. Apparently burnt. Is their well done. No common sense. My issue is with the black pizza and disrespectful employees.

M S.

Yelp
Dino's...always a great place and super good food. And...if you don't order over the phone, you can sit and enjoy a nice Modello or something similar as you wait a few minutes for them to cook your pie! The staff are always great there and seem to honestly be having a pretty good time working, Highly recommend this one. Good food, great staff and right on the way home!
google avatar

Akash P.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service. I've been going here for 15 years...I used to work in the area and this was our Friday lunch spot. I moved about 50 miles away, but I stop by and the quality is still the same, best pizza in LA hands down.
google avatar

Lulus P.

Yelp
Pizza is always fresh and delicious! Service is super friendly & fast! Ambiance is spot on! Keep up the good work staff! You guy's rock!

Diego C.

Yelp
I wish the front cashier guy had a better attitude during work though. Give the food 4/10 customer service 3/10 ambiance pretty neat though! 8/10 also I ate the pizza from here on a lunch break immediately felt really crappy idk if the guy put Something in my pizza but I honestly feel sick would no recommend going here! And to the 6,6 cashier with the half ass attitude
google avatar

Flopamatic L.

Yelp
I ordered a Dino's Special Pizza with NO MUSHROOMS. As you can see from the photos, there were 3x the amount of mushrooms of what I might expect in nightmares!! I ordered through GrubHub, but Dino's repeated back the NO MUSHROOMS part correctly when I called. AND, 90% of the Green Peppers are on HALF the pizza. Plus, the pizza was soggy from being over/mushroomed, bottom of box was damp ... Dino's referred me back to GrubHub to try to get refund...
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
My favorite pizza in the area. Just wish there were more smiles with each order. I don't care about the drabness of the dining room or the cramped ordering area, just wish the counter folds were more friendly.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Great place. Odd location but who cares when the food is good. Staff is very nice and accommodating. I ordered 1 slice of pizza and thought it was a bit pricey until I saw the size. I had them cut it into 3 pieces.

gLORIA g.

Yelp
Love,Love their food!!! The Pizza is so good that I come all the way from Duarte just to get it. The Spaghetti has a yummy sauce and the meatballs are the perfect taste to it! The service is quick and friendly which makes it a pleasant visit! The place is located on the corner and the parking lot is shared with a car repair shop. However the inside is clean and has about 10 tables to sit comfortably. The food was so good that I never remember to take pictures.
google avatar

Beau P.

Yelp
Dino's pizza is a great local spot that my family and I go to often for some late night pizza. The flavor is great and I could eat a whole box if I had no self control. I love Dino's and so should you!
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Would be a weekly staple when we lived in Burbank. Moved to Encino but no longer an easy pizza pickup drive unfortunately. We still go to Burbank for some appointments and always make sure we stop for dinner here on the way back because we just haven't found pizza close to us that even closely compares to Dino's crusty on the outside, fluffy on the inside dough, flavorful sauce or the delicious house Italian.

Wendi C.

Yelp
Great pizza! The in the valley besides casa Bianca in eagle rock nice old school restaurant!
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
Food is ok at best.... But the service is horrible. Need people skills ASAP. Good service is a must in any restaurant.

Jaime E.

Yelp
What I think is a perfect local pie! Their service and quality are impeccable. On Mother's Day, my mother's favorite, I was quoted about an hour for delivery. It magically appeared in less than 40. Hot and fresh. We love a well done with extra cheese, sausage, fungus, red onion, broccoli and artichoke heart. Maybe a strange combo but outrageous. Thank you Dino's for being the forever go-to in the neighborhood.
