Dino's Subs and Pizza

These people can’t be serious right!??. First of all it’s absolutely LOOKS atrocious. But I ordered the chicken parm sub… this is NOT chicken parm. Chicken parm is supposed to be breaded chicken cutlet. This wasn’t breaded… it wasn’t even seasoned!!!! It literally was plain not breaded, unseasoned, not even SEARED chicken. It was like boiled chicken. Disgusting. Like put some pride into your restaurant and food. What a shame. Quite literally THE WORST excuse for a chicken parm I’ve ever had

Our favorite subs at the shore!!! Such an important part of the community. Really kind people. Really consistent food. We always get the turkey sub , the whipped tuna, or the cheesesteaks with fries, but honestly we haven’t ever tried anything from here we didn’t like. Perfect for lunch on the beach. We have gotten delivery quite a few times and it’s always quick and delicious

Total slop - Got a chicken cheesesteak and regular steak that looks and tastes like steakum. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Remember Finding Waldo? Try to find the chicken.....

Man, what happened to the cheesesteaks? We’re sooo good a few years and more ago. Got one tonight, super dry meat with an off taste.

I read the reviews before going and regret not listening to them. I have never had a cheesesteak that was as bad as this. I always thought one could not get a bad cheesesteak, just a mediocre one. Well I was wrong.They don’t even try to hide the fact they use frozen meat and just cook it in a stack, not even breaking it apart to break through the sinewy, stringy pieces of frozen, tasteless meat. I bought three whole cheesesteaks to the tune of $79 to take back with me to the West Coast for my family. After trying one here in Jersey, I threw them away, not bothering to transport them. What a disappointment! Horrible.

Great local sun shop-since 1964! Love coming here good food and great service! You need to come by today. The bread is where is at. Formica bakery has the bread in the tri-state area! Even breakfast sandwiches all day! Let’s goooooo!

I’ve driven past this place a million times. Today was the day I stopped in for lunch. Pepper steak with fried onions, lettuce and tomato. Price was very fair for the size of the sandwich and quality of the ingredients. It was delicious and my new go-to steak on the island! The staff was all nice and the owner was too! Much appreciated!

Very good beach town cheesesteak. Anywhere else I think it is above average. The meat was very very tender and flavorful. Without the chop, the cheese and extras don't get mixed together which I really really like. I like the pictures on the wall of past visitors and local celebrities. The AC roll is growing on me and reheats well.

We always get the same thing. I ordered the turkey hoagie And my husband gets the Italian hoagie. We actually prefer Sacko Subs. The quality of the meat is better.

The employees do not change there gloves. They do just about everything with the same black gloves on. The sandwich's are not bad. But the employees are cocky and dirty. Period. And it's sad. When you scratch your head pick your nose. Change your gloves. Please.

Absolutely delicious subs and amazing customer service! The bread is so fresh and yummy, excellent proportions and great quality cold cuts and cheese. Great seating and clean dining area.

Cheesesteaks are very good but hoagies not so much!! Don't bother ordering an Italian..... Tuna hoagies are good. Unfortunately this venue is the only game in town for this part of Margate.

Great cold subs but steak sub is not real steak. They use steak ums!!! Ughhh Very disappointing

Dino's has always been synonymous with the shore for me and this time was no different. First time in years and there are still all the Polaroid photos on the wall to look at while you wait for your order. We picked up for friends who were on the beach and now that I know delivery to the beach is an option, we will probably do that next time. Most of us got a version of Italian, Dino's Special which is like Italian with more meat or tuna. One meatball sandwich. Everybody was happy and there were some leftovers but nothing lasted in the fridge for more than a couple hours.

Terrible bloody burgers food was decent except the burgers service was decent didn't take that long

I have mixed feelings about the food at Dino's. I grew up traveling to Atlantic City on vacation seeking out this place for big cheesesteaks. The portions here are giant, and the steak tasted really good the multiple times I showed up over the years. At my most recent visit, I branched out and tried their pizza too, and it was not good - the bread was soggy and did not taste good. I like the vibes here, and I haven't had to wait long for food even coming with a large crowd, so I think it all averages out to 4 out of 5 for me.

We had the subs delivered to the beach...very yummy lol! I can't give info on the service or ambiance since it was delivery, but they were definitely faster than the time that was promised. Good stuff

Best cheese steak on the island same as white House Sub shop. Only thing I order chicken cheese steak also good the Italian subs are just ok really need to go to an Italian deli to get the good cold cuts.

Step aside White House and Slacks! Dino's has a fantastic Dinos Special which is 10 times better than the White House special! Piled high with great Italian meats and thick cut provolone and some of the best jersey shore style bread on the planet! Dinos uses a red wine vinegar when you ask for oil and vinegar and it makes the sandwich 100 times better. The turkey hoagie with provolone was also fantastic and loaded! We'll be back!

Dino's Tuna was greattttt. People are extremely nice. Food was great . I loved the fries also. I went there for two days in a row I will be in Margate soon and of course I will be getting another Fabulous sandwich!!! Come one come all for Dino's stupendous Fabulous food!!!

I know subs. I am 86 years old and a food connoisseur. Dino's subs are fabulous. I rate them above White House.

I'm finally done! All bread with cheap ingredients. Sad what they did to this place. Taking my business to Pete's Subs in EHT. Old school Italian

I last visited Dino's 7 months ago. Had a decent sub... but crappy service. As long as the sub is good I don't care about the service. Fast forward to my most recent visit. There has been a definite change in the quality of the food. They have cheaped it up big time. My Italian sub was quite sparse on meat. Gosh I really miss Sacco Subs in Ventnor. Guess I will be making the trek to AC to get a White House sub on the next visit. Don't think I will go back to Dino's.

We lucked out and had a beautiful Indian Summer day in Mid September in Margate. After a long morning bike ride and a dip in the ocean my two friends and myself were starving. I won't lie as to reason we picked Dino's; it was basically the first place we saw on Ventnor Ave when we came off the beach. I was very hungry and the it smelled pretty darn tasty from the outside also so into Dino's we went. Dino's is clean inside and has a pretty typical pizza shop feel. The staff was very friendly and our take out order was prepared fast. We all ordered half hoagies or subs and they were huge. I can't imagine how big a large one would be. Prices were reasonable also, especially for a beach town. I had the turkey hoagie and I thought it was quite good. The bread was fresh and soft. A big 1/2 star added as Dino's takes credit cards! What the heck is going on in Margate where so many places are cash only? 3.5-3.75 Stars for Dino's!

Tried a few subs with friends and it was all pretty solid. We ordered the cap/salami/cheese, Turkey/cheese and tuna/cheese sub. Everything was fresh, bread was soft and the flavors were there. I did not try the tuna sub, but my friend kept raving about that one! Solid spot for subs

Subs & cheeseburger was bussin' Pizza was so so Service was lightening fast! 4 stars as a sandwich was missing & had to go back but easily rectified

Best Cheesesteak ever!! We travel to Ventnor NJ every 2 months or so. We eat at Dino's at least once sometimes twice in our two - three day stay, Staff is always friendly, food is great.

Good food most of the time but after waiting an hour for delivery they got the order wrong! Very frustrating.

This is the perfect place to get your subs! No other place on Absecon island is better, EVERYTHING from Dino's is FABULOUS!

Been to Dino's many times! I absolutely love their cheese steaks! Today I was with my nephew and he has never been there, so we went, sorry to say all 4 of us had a cheesesteak, and we were all disappointed in quality of meat! It was real chewy,and grisly! I will give it another try next week, and see if I just went on a bad night!

Dino's is a hoagie classic down the shore! My favorite is the chicken cheesesteak - with hot peppers - and a side of marinara! The bread is always the perfect mixture of soft and chewy, but I wish there was more filling in the cheesesteak! Ordering and paying can be a bit confusing - you can order, eat there, and then pay after you eat.

It's tough to compete with all the good sub shops in Jersey, but Dino's definitely holds its own. Good bread, ingredients, service and everything else. I love this place. Not much else to say.

Great Sub Shop in Margate NJ. It's my go to in the neighborhood for Cheesesteaks and subs. Last night I order the fries for the first time. They were great, hot crispy and delicious. Great food with great staff, always friendly. I have been going to Dino's for 40 years.

Was the worst cheese steak in Margate The meat was very very tough and hard to chew good thing your tuna is good. Delivery took 3 hours on the island unacceptable.

Near the edge of 3/4 stars. Service is pretty nice and has always been able to resolve any potential issues well (they forgot to give us sandwich one time on a to go order and they actually drove it down to where we were staying). There tends to be somewhat of a dearth of good casual restaurants on Absecon Island (Atlantic City to Longport), and Dino's is probably the best sub place on the island after White House (which is much better than Dino's). Chicken cheesesteak is pretty good; cheesesteak isn't bad, but my favorite item is probably the tuna sub with crushed potato chips, which adds a nice textual element. Prices are decent for the quality considering it's on the island. I go here pretty often, and think it's fine, but not super.

Dinos has the best cheesesteak around. I also like the tuna subs and Italian subs. Call ahead they get busy.

The Go to Place in Margate I like watching the French Frys and Onion Rings Robo

The only thing smaller than what they put in a roll is their name. Extremely disappointing. Ordered a cheesesteak and a veggie. Last time I ever order from here. You can't compare their portions and quality to White House that is leaps and bounds better.

Awesome tuna subs!!! The tuna and rolls are fresh and honestly, the best I have had. The girls working there were very welcoming although they were busy my wait was not long.

Best service on the island. Girls at the counter are like a well oiled machine.. Not to mention the food is AWESOME!! Will definitely be coming back next summer!

The pizza I ate from Dino's had too much burnt black charred pieces on the bottom of the pizza. It's as if they did not clean the oven before cooking their pizza. The staff was not very friendly, they make it seem they were doing me favor serving me, rather than valuing my business. Many better pizza & Italian food options in the local margate Ventnor area

An hour and a half plus for sandwiches? Ridiculous. Consider joining Uber eats so that your delivery process isn't so long. 1.5 hours to order a turkey sandwich is crazy.

My family and I ordered from Dino's on a Saturday night. We got two whole cheesesteaks and cheese fries. The food was good, roll was delicious and everything was as expected. However the customer service wasn't as much. A man behind the counter shouting "who ordered ahead!?" With an attitude, then when people were confused as to answer to him or the girl at the register asking for the name, he complained that his voice hurts he does this every Saturday same thing (annoyed sounding) It was a slight turn off, I get your job is high energy and busy, but let's not complain about those that are funding your paycheck, buying your food. Other then that, we enjoyed our meal.

I had to try them three times to make sure it wasn't a fluke. By far the best steak & cheese I've ever had, and I have been in every major city in the states ( sorry Philly).

The subs are huge. Two people could share one. The cheeseburger sub is all you can handle. The chicken strips there a meal for two. The bread from Formica Bakery is awesome.

This cheesesteak doesn't blow me away, but it is a classic in the area. Dino's has been around for years and makes their food exactly the same way as it always has; only thing that has changed has been the prices. The whole cheesesteak is huge, can probably feed 2-3 people, which isn't bad for $13.50. The steak sandwiches come packed with meat, which is a huge plus. If you like meat, you for sure get your money's worth. I honestly feel there is almost too much meat on it, but I'm not complaining. The meat overwhelms the cheese and bread, which makes the balance of the sandwich a bit thrown off. Other than the cheesesteaks which is what they are famous for, their pizza is also another go to item here. The actual store is tiny. You walk in and it's just a few booths on the left with an ordering counter on the right. Tons of pictures on the wall of celebrities, and locals. I would also suggest if you order, do it over the phone in advance, it can take them a while to make it. If it is crowded, especially over the summers during the weekends, forget about it, it'll take a long time to make. Dino's is a must stop to check off your bucket list if you're down the shore. UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP (many of the best ORIGINAL staff returning) We can't wait to return to Dino's! I was part of the many disappointed customers who gave up a few years ago as this legendary sub shop steadily lost its quality and any commitment to customer service after Leo's passing: as his fiancé was incompetent, maybe a little distracted, or frequently disinterested: Suzy steadily ran the place to near ruin over the past 6 1/2 years. JULY 2018: A well known and former employee stepped up to hopefully bring back the Dino's we all loved.

I and family anywhere near the island have gotten countless subs from here, all the time, for DECADES. The joint is a longstanding institution for good reason!

This place is AMAZING. I am a local to the area and this is a perfect place to stop by with friends. I am always riding my bike there because it is in a super convenient area. The food they serve is fantastic. They never mix up an order, charge you too much, etc. I highly suggest you visit Dino's for a outstanding meal.

Terrible customer service!! I called them to place an order and said "Can I place an order?" and they said "NO!" and hung up the phone, then when I told my boyfriend to try calling them to make sure I wasn't crazy they said "NO!" and hung up again!

This is my favorite hoagie place. I have been eating here since I was a small child, so pretty much as long as they have been open. Their hoagies are fantastic. Their tuna is unbelievably delicious! I heartily recommend the tuna chip. It is packed full of tuna and crumbled potato chips. You need a fork! Their cheesesteaks are awesome. They always honor my request for extra well done fried onions. The Italian hoagie is delicious, as is their turkey hoagie. Those hoagies ship well too. I have had Dinos ship their hoagies long distances more than once. During covid they have been fantastic with contactless delivery. I give them a credit card over the phone and have had no problems at all. Service is always friendly, even when they are busy. Pizza is the weak link. Just avoid it. There are plenty of other wonderful choices!

I attribute my love for this place due to my mom hitting up Dino's weekly while she was pregnant with me. I feel like Dino's was probably infused in my DNA or something. My parents and I hit up Dino's after a trip to the Cape May Zoo last Saturday. As always, parking is limited, especially on a Saturday down da shore, but we were able to snag a spot right around the corner. There wasn't much of a line at 4pm, so service was quick. We ordered a pizza steak, Italian grinder, and tuna sub. All were prepared in about 15 minutes and packed ready to go. My mom and I split our steak and grinder so we could enjoy both. They were as amazing as always. Both were perfectly cooked. My dad had a tuna sub which he feels is the best around. I know every Jersey native has THEIR go to hoagie and steak shop, and every one but that one is sub par. This one is mine and always will be.
