A good old fashioned Italian restaurant with a modern vibe. The wine by the glass was good and well priced. Small selection but representative at fair prices. Neopoltian pizza is among the top 4 in chicago, over which there are over 30. The crust was perfect and the tomato sauce had a hint of sweetness. I didn't try anything else but will on my many return visits

We sat at the outdoor seating, which was nice with a good breeze. Wait staff was very friendly, but not very attentive (reason for not giving 5 stars). Food was delicious, but a bit pricey. Cocktail was $12 and half the glass was a single giant ice cube.

With a small-town feel in the center of Old Town, this Italian pizzeria serves not only stone-oven, neopolitan-style pizzas but a great selection of pastas and drafts of Goose Island. If there is a wait but available bar seating, take advantage of comfortable chairs that easily allow you to talk with others in your party and also have access to quick service.

The Carne Rosso pizza is amazing. The wait staff was attentive and actually spoke Italian. Great wine selection, too!

Google
One of my FAVORITE pizza spots in Chicago. Warm and inviting Italian atmosphere. Seating options are very limited so I recommend giving a call ahead of time. Both the Carne Rosso and the Margherita pizzas are incredible. Pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven and have an authentic Italian feel. They have surprisingly great wine options that really close the deal. I believe they have half priced bottles on Wednesday. We went with a Barbaresco. Many great Italian options. Anyways, check this place out if you are in the mood for pizza and wine in Old Town.

Google
Fantastic spot. Real Italian wood oven pizzas - no deep dish here, folks - and an extensive and elegant menu of other selections. Great cocktail selection, full bar. Limited inside seating at dinnertime so a reservation is recommended. Place has survived 3 decades in an extremely competitive environment - you won't be disappointed.

Google
Shared an excellent meal with friends here before heading to Second City. The service and hospitality was top notch. The lasagna was the star of our meal for me, other's loved the brick oven fired pizza. The crust was not as crispy as some other fired pizzas I've had, but the toppings and flavours were all excellent. We will be back.

This is a great Italian spot in Old Town. We come here about half a dozen times every year. Staff is friendly and selection of dishes is great so everybody in your party will find something to eat. They do have a brick pizza oven for a great tasting pizza pies. Wine selection is also good here.

Yelp
Love the food, love the service, and love the environment!!!!! Can't say enough good things!!!!! Can't wait to come back!

Stacey H.

Yelp
Only got drinks at the bar here but I would definitely come back to try a pizza or pasta! The brick oven for the pizza is right next to the bar and added to the cozy vibes. The bartender was helpful in deciding between drinks. It seems like a popular spot--packed on a Saturday night.

Yelp
Finally made it in here, right after my trip to Italy! I have to be honest, it's pretty great. Got the margarita pizza and added the homemade sausage. Definitely a win! The sausage is beautiful. Had one cocktail, just a basic gin and tonic with Hendricks. 50 bucks later, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. But don't get me wrong, pricing is getting a bit, how do you say in a nice way ...outrageous! If you're bringing your whole family, you might spend over 300 on pizza but hey, if it's worth it, it's worth it! I'm just being honest so I can get my Yelp Elite status back. YES! The meatballs look phenomenal and so does that rigatoni. I'm definitely planning to return for that, and maybe bring my girls credit card. Just kidding! I don't have a girl. I'm willing to redesign this place for free lifetime pizza. Just saying. The chandeliers, wall art and HomeGoods chairs can be replaced. Let's make this place a swanky joint. Even if it's Old Town, get it? I came here because I saw the bang bang Gallucci gang instagrams! That's great. I loved looking at that brick pizza oven with gold mosaic tile on it. Perfection. Wish I had that in my loft! Anyway, the staff was cool and I'm not sure if they were playing music because I was more focused on stuffing my face with that Neapolitan pizza pie. The only place I've had in Chicago that does it as as good as these guys is Spacca Napoli. Both are real close to Italy if not the same thing. Nice to take a break from regular Chicago Pizza. When I say that I definitely mean, thin crust. Not deep dish, that's for tourists! They have outdoor seating as well. OK that's all for now I have to go, I'm lactose intolerant. Grazie Mille~

Yelp
Love this place. Everything was great. The house salad was so good (really liked the dressing, fresh arugula, and Parmesan slices). The pictures of the pizza does not do them justice. My favorite was the pistachio pesto pizza. Service was excellent and the restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. I definitely will be back. I recommend you try this place - I bet once you do, you will want to go back there.

Yelp
Galluchi is one of my favorite Neapolitan pizza places! It is located in such a fun location on wells and the pasta and pizza ALWAYS hit! It is so fun to sit outside or even inside. My gluten free friend has also said it is the best gluten free pizza she's had in Chicago as well!

Anneli H.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. The pizza tastes exactly like it does in Naples, Italy. The service is always great. I love that they play Italian music, it truly makes me feel like I'm in a little slice of Italy. My go to pizzas are the Stracciatella, Pistachio Pesto and the Tartufata. Perfect for date night or dinner with the girls. Highly recommend this place!

Sydney H.

Yelp
My second time at Gallucci did not disappoint! The first time I went I didn't love their pizza, but decided to go back to try their vodka pasta & it was AMAZING!!!! You cannot skip the vodka pasta!!!!! Highly recommend it over their pizzas we tried. The inside is very small, but fun & good vibes!

Tony S.

Yelp
Pizza sucks dry ass sauce I'm better off with little Caesars and it was cold asf never again and the service was not welcoming towards blacks or brown

Maya O.

Yelp
Galucci Pizzeria in Old Town is a pizza paradise! Their pizzas are fantastic, and the pastas are consistently solid. And the appetizer game is strong - the fried dough with lemon ricotta is perfection. Really good vibes all around - it's a very dark space, and noise carries but I think it adds to the charm. Overall, service can be a bit hit or miss when it's busy, even with a reservation you may need to wait sometimes, but the food makes it worth the wait.

Yelp
Came here late on a Friday night around 9:00 pm (12/29/23) without a reservation and was seated immediately. Normally, I believe a reservation would have been needed but it was pretty slow. Nonetheless, I am happy we were able to be seated without issue. It was incredibly dark inside - this gives more intimate vibes rather than family style or dinner with coworkers after work. It is tight regarding space as the establishment is narrow but the bar in the back is a nice touch offering a large variety of top-shelf liquors. Our server spoke minimal English but was super knowledgeable about the menu and helped my friend and I pick our dish. We were happy there was only one price for the pizza but the size was incredibly small. Thankfully we only wanted a small snack but had we been hungrier, I just know we would have spent double if not triple the amount of money to be well-fed. The taste, flavor, crispiness of the crust was spot on. I highly enjoy a oven-cooked pizza from scratch. It gave authenticity to what they were presenting. I can stand to return just once more and try another pizza.

Yelp
We booked for a table of 2 on Saturday, the restaurant is super cute inside. My husband got the maradona drink and we shared the arancini and inferno pizza. The pizza was absolutely delicious, we were already planning our next visit when we were not even half way through our first slice. The staff were lovely and I liked that the payment system is the kind where they bring the device to the table. Could not recommend this place more! Will be back!! It would be a great first date spot for sure!!

Nicole T.

Yelp
Cannot get enough of this place! Been here a few times and everything we have ordered has been incredible. Real authentic Italian food which comes down to the ingredients they use. Drinks: Highly recommend the Giada Rose Appetizers we've tried and loved: Spinach e Ricotta Arancine Polpo Alla Griglia - one of my favorites so tender Ceviche alla Napoletana - very fresh and tasty Pizza: A must have! The ingredients, technique, and oven all make for an authentic Napoli pizza. Better than the pizza I had in Italy itself. Pistachio Pesto - most unique pizza, perfect balance of sweet and nutty, highly recommend Tartufata - my personal favorite, everything about it is perfection

Yelp
I went to Gallucci with my husband last night and we found GLASS in our pasta. We showed the staff and they made us wait 15 minutes only for them to just remove the dish. After waiting another 15 minutes with no food they offer us a replacement... we declined after waiting a half hour hoping to talk to someone about the situation. They offered no apology and took another 15 minutes for our check. They made us wait 45 minutes after finding glass in our food to give us a check...They removed the price of the pasta with glass as I would expect seeing as we could not eat it but I am disappointed at how they handled the situation. At the very least I wanted an apology and for the situation to be addressed in a timely fashion but they offered neither.

Yelp
For apps we did the house salad and arancine. Both were good. The salad was a little smaller than expected fro $16. The center of the arancine was really creamy and yummy. The pastas were a little bit disappointing. The rigatoni was decent, but nothing extra special. The pesto pasta (which we didn't order, but accidentally got brought to our table) also didn't have much taste. The pizza here though was fantastic! We got the Pistachio Pesto pizza and the Regina pizza and both were incredible. The honey on the Pesto pizza gave it the perfect amount of sweetness and it paired really well with the sausage (though I didn't really taste any pesto). The caramelized onions on the Regina were also so good and paired well with the truffle and meats. The most disappointing thing was that they wouldn't let our group of 5 sit outside even though every table was open because they didn't want to push any tables together - good to know for next time at least!

Yelp
Gallucci Pizzeria Napoletana is a hidden gem! We had an incredible dining experience here, with amazing food and a warm, fun atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious selection of pasta, pizza, and appetizers, each dish bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. The service was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about both the menu and wine pairings. Speaking of wine, we indulged in a couple of great bottles that perfectly complemented our meal. The cozy, inviting vibe made the night all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a fun, relaxed night out with fantastic food!

Athena B.

Yelp
Got a bunch of pizzas, pastas, and salads to go and it was awesome!!! When we were picking up the food there was a HUGE line at 8pm on a Friday so definitely a popular spot! The truffle prosciutto and spicy pep were to die for and don't sleep on the gnocchi!

Beth Anne P.

Yelp
First time in Chicago From Raleigh NC Caroline and Annibale and Frank went above and beyond! WOW!! What a great place to eat! Can't wait to go back! So glad we found this place. Food, armosphere, Owners and staff... 10 stars!!!!

Audrey A.

Yelp
Glad we had a reservation for this adorable taste of Italy! Small space but large portions and taste was very mighty. Service was stellar.

Savanna M.

Yelp
If you are seeking a cool vibe and delicious food Gallucci's is the place to be! Gallucci's seamlessly fuses authentic Nepalean cuisine in an elevated but comfortable environment. You can tell from your first bite the care and attention that goes into every single dish. Our favorite dishes are the tartufata pizza which has a delicious truffle cream and prosciutto that is to die for! Another crave worthy dish is there rigatoni Alla vodka which is hands down the best pasta you will ever have. But in all honesty , I have never had a dish that wasn't delicious. Servers are always friendly and warm and the cocktails are delicious! 10/10 must have while in Chicago.

Caroline P.

Yelp
Wonderful food and ambiance. The perfect place for delicious pizza/pasta in old town.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Worst dining experience I've ever had in Chicago! Party of 2, we arrived 10 mins ahead of reservation and were immediately seated. We were served water and said we will be given a moment to check the menu. More than 10 mins later we had to flag someone down. Finally a server came over and we ordered drinks and all the food at once. Within 3 mins, appetizers showed up but no drinks, 30 mins later still no drinks. 45 mins in no more food or drinks have arrived. They have more people filling water at tables than servers. There is no hospitality here, no I'm sorry let us make this up to you. Everyone looks miserable. We left. Paid for the app. Server showed no remorse. Will not go back. Will not recommend. They need to seriously look at their business model.

Katie L.

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood, and have always wanted to try this place out. Came on a Thursday night on a whim around 7 and was seated without an issue. I believe they have outdoor seating when the weather gets nicer - so super stoked for that. Menu is pretty straightforward - top section is for white sauces and the bottom red sauces. We split a bottle of wine and got 3 pizzas for 3 people along with the cheesecake dessert. Decent wine selection and the cheesecake was not too sweet (biggest compliment I can give) and it had a more dense texture than your traditional cheesecakes. The crust of their pizza is everything - chewy but crispy, flaky but moist, and I could just have these pillows of dough and would be happy. You could prob eat half - 3/4 of the pizza by yourself. If you take the remaining home (since it does get cold easily), air fry that baby and it's just as tasty. We'll be back in a heart beat!

Annette W.

Yelp
We ordered over the phone and brought it home. The person who answered the phone told us that he would try timing it so it would be ready by the time we arrived but we did still wait about 20 minutes for it to be ready. The inside of the restaurant was really dark and it felt awkward to stand by the bar and wait for our food, it felt like we were in the way but the wait was worth it!! We got the tartufata pizza and it was so tasty 10/10 would recommend. We also ordered tiramisu and bolognese, they were ok but I would definitely be coming back for the pizza

Tori H.

Yelp
Really cute fun spot for friends! I was much more impressed when returning here - definitely more of a girls night or date night spot. The pizza is absolutely incredible, get one of the white pizzas for sure. The bursts app was also perfect! Will be back!

Serge G.

Yelp
back at probably my favorite Neapolitan pizza spot in Chicago, and we chose the perfect summer day to sit on the patio. Had a bottle of their Montepulciano which is a dry wine and the dynamic duo of the Pellegrino and Aqua Panda. Loved the libations, but the food here is next level in my opinion. The B&B salad was light and vibrant in flavor, the cacio e Pepe arancini was perfectly fried on the outside, and cheesy on the inside topped with fresh shaved truffles. Their rigatoni alla vodka is a top 5 of mine in the city, and has larger than normal rigatoni as the pasta. Gallucci is known for their Neapolitan pizza so we got their inferno red pizza which had hot chili oil and was the perfect amount of spice without losing the flavor of the other ingredients. The Quattro formaggi pizza is great for people who love cheese and the gorgonzola added a satisfying salty earthy taste to the pizza. We had a round of limoncello before the desserts which we had the chocolate cake and the newly launched Nutella pizza. It's made in the same dough as the pizza so this was surprisingly light, chocoately, and overall I'm already dreaming of my next meal here.

Ron B.

Yelp
Always excellent. That said, I only get the Margarita Pizza add sausage. But it's fantastic.

Dorothy S.

Yelp
The interior of this restaurant is quite tight and quite dark. Our server was fine, just seemed very busy. We started with a house salad, which was good. Then we got a margherita pizza and a cacio e Pepe pizza. The cacio e pepe pizza was magnificent, SO good. Margherita pizza was good too, but that cacio e pepe pizza was insane. Finished w the tiramisu, which was amazing as well.

Lindsey S.

Yelp
We went to Galluci's for the first time this past week for a casual week night date- we loved it! First of all, everything here is so incredibly fresh. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The simplicity of the dishes really let the high quality dough, cheese and sauce shine and we were very impressed. We started with the Montanarine Fritte with bolognese (a fried dough ball topped with sauce), and tried the Terra Mia and Regina pizzas. All were so delicious. Again, everything tasted so fresh. The service was prompt and friendly. I can't wait to return here with my children, I think they would really enjoy as well. A must try in Old Town!

Lauren G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my night at Gallucci. I have had pizza in Naples and this really did transport me back. If you're unfamiliar with the differences of a Neopolitan style pizza, I find that the crust is a bit thinner on the bottom and chewy on the outside. I had the Regina because anything with black truffle gets my attention. We also had the Arancine as an appetizer and they were great! The restaurant was a bit loud, to the point that my group commented on how hard it was to hear each other. Our server was nice, but I think even he had a hard time hearing our orders due to the volume of the restaurant. Overall enjoyed the pizza and would return.

Miss A.

Yelp
Dropped in around 9pm for a bite to eat, it was really busy inside but its Saturday night in Old Town so no real shocker there. Scored the only open table. Boom yeah! Timing really is everything right? The host was very friendly and along with handing over the menu, shared her favorite appetizer and pizza for consideration. Took a while for the water to come out, and the waiter had noticeable sweat across his face. He started off by letting us know the Kitchen was closing in just 20 minutes so we would have to order all courses in the next 10 minutes to ensure it can be made. Honestly, for a weekend that is ridiculous when almost every other place nearby on Wells St. the Kitchen is open til 11pm or Midnight. I don't like feeling rushed, especially at a place new to me. Ordered wine by the glass and massive meatballs appetizer to start. They came out pretty quickly. The meatballs were tasty but lacked much red sauce so I asked for more.... the equivalent of two spoonfuls of "extra" sauce was given in a little metal condiment dipping thingy. Meh. Table adjacent was a large party of 20 or more people, all looked to be having a blast and had tons of food spread across the table. Same waiter for our table so clearly it is where his energy was going. The manager ultimately came by the table to see how we were doing and when I let him know the waiter had not been back to take our pizza order, he looked at his watch then advised he was not sure it would be possible to order now. The look on my face must have said it all because he then said he'd run back to check. Meanwhile one of the woman in the large party overheard and offered us a whole pizza they had not even touched. We of course refused the generous offer but did ultimately break down and partake in a slice of it. Thank you nice people of the party!! It had white sauce and truffle shavings. Tasty! Ultimately placing an order was a hard no from the manager so we took the check and moved over to another restaurant a few doors down for main courses, more drinks and dessert. Win some, loose some but overall we ate well. Undecided if its a place I'd go back. Definitely not authentic Italian but it did have a cool trendy vibe.

Yelp
I love this style of pizza. Not as heavy as the Chicago deep dish, this kind of pizza is lighter with a thin crust. It's located in West Loop and reservations are recommended. Luckily I never had any issues with my reservation or waiting on my food. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. Service was great. We ordered frittura di pesce (calamari, octopus, and shrimp lightly tossed in a batter and fried). 5/5. They cooked this perfectly, sometimes you'll get this where it's way too crunchy and fried but this one wasn't. It's just the right amount of crunch and retained all of the flavor inside. For pizzas, we ordered the tartufata and regina. Both 5/5. The tartufata, you can smell and taste that black truffle cream and that prosciutto tasted so good. The regina pizza had basil, sausage, and shaved black truffle. You guys can get the whole ingredient list on the website. This pizza was equally as delicious as the first. We didn't have any leftovers because the food was that good.

Michele B.

Yelp
Traditional Neapolitan pizzeria, family owned, driven by passion and strong love for their roots. Coming from Naples, Italy, I can definitely recommend this place.

Sara K.

Yelp
If you're looking for fun vibes and pizza in Old Town, Gallucci is your spot. We ordered the spinach & ricotta arancini, lasagna, pistachio pesto pizza (without meat), and the parmigiana pizza. They were unique and delicious. A couple of cons - the music was pretty loud and it was hard to hear our group talk. Also the service was meh. Our waitress didn't know much about the menu (for example subbing something instead of sausage on our pizza) and took forever to bring/refill drinks.

Cristoforo C.

Yelp
We plan to go eat at Galluccis pizzeria in chaicago and can't wait. The wood fired pizza looks just as delicious as the pizzas Gianni was making in Vegas for the competitions. The restaurant pasta and decor looks great as well. We can't wait to come and try in Chicago!

Ryan C.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat before Second City's late show and found Gallucci as its on the next block. I am glad we did as it was a great dinner and we will be back. It was a pretty busy Friday night and while they did say we only had 90 minutes for dinner, it ended up not being a hard requirement as it thinned out a bit. The atmosphere was good - music playing fairly loud, but could still have a conversation. Service was good. As for the food, the Frittura di Pesce was good, not stellar but decent for fried calamari/shrimp. The bolognese was given a positive review. The house salad while fairly simple was excellent. The pizza is why you go here. The margherita was an above average margherita but the one that sold me on the place was the Pistachio Pesto. The pesto as a base vs. tomato sauce, covered with delicious crumbly sausage and drizzled with a bit of honey - enough to tie it all together but not overly sweet. I would find it hard to come here and not order that pizza. Definitely a great spot for pizza and easy spot for dinner before Second City.

Susanna C.

Yelp
We showed up on a Sunday night with a reservation. Darkly lit room, very loud. We sat down, and were given menus. 15 minutes later, we still had been able to place an order or get attention from the waitstaff. They were more interested in watching the flat-screen above the bar. The tables next to us were getting their food served, and were attended to. We left without placing an order so I can't speak to the food.

J M.

Yelp
I see many people had a good experience at this place. Yet I made reservations for two and was told we would have to wait til a table was open. Don't understand why a place would take reservations and yet not be able to seat people. Lastly the host was as bad as the planning of reservation service. I would like to give a review on the food, but as I was not going to wait 25m for a table I had made reservations for we left. Hope they get better management or maybe someone else can take over the location.

Kelley G.

Yelp
No no no. I went to this restaurant for dinner and the experience was far below anything I could imagine. We asked for bread upon sitting down, 15 minutes later the waiter comes around and realized we didn't have it, so he said he'd bring it out. We put in our pasta order and both came out tasting like dirty dish water, and the bread never came. The table to our left had to wait 20 min after their pasta came out for one person's pizza, and the table to our right had to send back their glass of wine because something was in it. Don't get me started on the horribly loud club music. There are a million italian restaurants in the city, go to a different one.

David A.

Yelp
The seem to always be closed or about to close, even when their online hours say they are open? We live nearby and have only eaten their pizza once because we show up and get "we aren't seating anyone now."

Shreya L.

Yelp
This is a difficult place to review. The food is undoubtedly amazing. But I never want to go there. Why? Consistently terrible service, too-loud music, and too-dim lighting. But the service is what gets me. First things first - their gluten free pizza crust is *chef's kiss.* It's been too long for my memory to be able to truly compare, but I like it the same way I liked the gluten free pizza from Dinotto's, for those who miss it. Only downside is they do often burn it a little bit. But that's okay. Their service, though... inexplicable, truly. Here's a list of things that have occurred across multiple visits: - It's typical to be charged extra for gluten free. Unfair and unfortunate, but typical. Their menu, however, doesn't list the price or that there is a separate charge at all. Turns out it's $7. So my $20 pizza became $27. This probably needs to be reported to the BBB or something because it's not okay to trap people who may have made different decisions if fully informed. - They forgot to put one person's order in. 5/6 people had their food and one person got their food 20 minutes later - They once quoted me 30 minutes to pickup 2 pizzas. I got their 35 minutes later, only to find one pizza ready and one with no update. 55 minutes of waiting later, they gave me one hot fresh pizza that was undercooked and old cold pizza. The hostess told me the pizza is made to order and I should have taken the first one when it was hot (???) They then spoke poorly of me to each other in Italian when I asked them to please put both pizzas back in the oven. They ultimately did it, but then also charged me full price after I waited 1.5 hours for my pizza - I had half a pizza left, so asked for a box for leftovers. I was given a too-small plastic box, so I asked for a cardboard pizza box. The guy said okay and took my pizza. I clarified that he's going to put them in the pizza box, right? He said yes. He lied. He came back with our pizzas crammed into plastic boxes, entirely bent and misshapen. I reiterated that I wanted the pizza boxes for a reason. He told me no and said they were too big. (For what? It's my fridge space?) I immediately got home and transferred the slices but they were already soggy and weird. Sigh. Funny thing is this is a huge complaint on Google reviews too. If the owner is reading, this is the dumbest thing not to fix. - Server stood over me and supervised my credit card transaction. I stared at him and he was like "oh sorry let me give you room" only for him to turn right back around and continue watching me. Felt like he was trying to bully me into giving him a big tip for poor service. Which was extra annoying when the default amounts on their transaction machine thing only start at 20% So yeah. Pizza is good but I hate going here and even pickup sucks. So it could be five stars but likely won't get there unless they are open to changing how they engage with customers.

Vishwa D.

Yelp
Vibes inside were nice - definitely a tight space but decorated cute. Not sure if they were having an off night but everything was average. The service wasn't incredible. The food was fine (got the arancini which lacked salt and the parmigiana pizza which was too salty). Our drinks were very average, nothing spectacular (the Sorrento but could have fooled me by saying it was a regular gin and tonic). We also got the pistachio gelato which was phenomenal - highlight of the meal.

Nerissa T.

Yelp
Had mixed feelings about this place. Food was good but service could have been better. We've walked by this place many times and always noticed how busy it is so we decided to make reservations. Once we arrived, the hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed and was running around trying to get everyone seated. We ended up waiting for 10 mins. The servers were friendly but the place definitely felt understaffed. Our food was brought out before our drinks, seemed kind of weird - we had to remind them what we ordered so maybe they just forgot? They have an outdoor patio but we sat inside by the window, which was kind of cool we were able to see the pizza oven. As for the food, we decided to get two pizzas - their terra Mia (a caputo cup winner) and the Regina. It seems like the ingredients were thoughtfully placed because you would get piece of tomato in every bite, which we appreciated. Only complaint for me is that the pizza was a bit too "wet" for my liking. We also got the farfalle alla vodka and it was tasty.

Yelp
Reservations are necessary for the weekend! This place is popping being so close to 2nd city. We barely got seated at our reservation time and it was very hectic having multiple parties wait by the door at the same time. Once we got seated, my friend said there was food on the ground by her shoe which made it slippery...kinda gross. Now onto the food...the bolognese was sooo salty!! It was as if the chef mishandled the salt shaker or salted the dish twice on accident. The margarita pizza was fine but based on the other things that happened that night, it is tough to find a reason to come again.

Yelp
Such a beautiful, cozy & delicious gem in Old Town. I recommend making a reservation because the restaurant is fairly small, but it has such a great ambiance and feel. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and interactive and he gave us great suggestions off the menu. The food was delicious and really high quality! Although fairly expensive, the portions are large and ingredients are fresh. Also, we did not have to wait long at all to get our food which was a plus! On Tuesdays they run a deal where if you order 2 appetizers and at least 1 entree, the appetizers are 50% off. I will be back!

Yelp
From the moment we walked in we knew were somewhere special. The ambience, the staff, the bar and the pizza oven all add up to an amazing welcoming set-up. It only gets better from there. The entire serving took exemplary care of us and made sure we enjoyed every moment of our visit. We had three pizzas, each delicious in unique ways. For our youngest, who is a cheese pizza kind of kid, the margherita pizza hit all of the right notes. My husband and I ordered one pizza from the white list and one from the red at the recommendation of our host and they were both divine (Biancalana and Calabrese), the bottle of Otto Uve tied it altogether. We left full, happy and eager to return. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk to Gallucci for an absolutely amazing evening.

Yelp
Save your money. Way better service and way more authentic Italian food in Chicago. This place is just hype and I'm not sure why, it's not even that cool inside and again the food is meh. The drinks are also itty bitty. I saved one star for the pizza.

Yelp
Just a great experience from the moment you walk in. Staff was extremely friendly and greeted me as I entered and made my way to the bar. Started off with the Grilled octopus and meatball appetizers. We had a hard time narrowing it down to just two apps. Moved on to the terra Mia pizza and biancalana with shaved truffles suggested by our bartender. Both we off the charts! Crust was incredible and toppings are top notch. Need to come back and try some of the sandwiches. I saw them make the bread for them and then they passed by me while being served to a nearby table. They almost didn't make it there! Haha

Yelp
I had a reservation for 8 and waited until 8:45 before leaving. Every time we asked how much longer they told us a couple of minutes. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Server was great. Food was less than mediocre. The pizza sauce was flavorless and runny.
