Google
Street style tacos, served hot and fresh, single tortilla sort of falls apart, guac was well flavored. Typical Manhattan prices $6 for a tiny taco.

Anne Hathaway did not spit in my food.

Google
Here's a pic of three different kinds of Dirty Taco's porcine tacometry: costilla, al pastor, & pork belly. It pairs well w/ Lvivske lager, which, at least in GCT, can only be purchased at Veselka. That's because the lager imparts lightly sweet corn flavors, to match the tortilla & complement the meat. Only thing I'd change is ordering in person instead of on the computer at the counter; I'd have requested to hold the salsa, which overpowered the food's flavor. P.S.: I also have enjoyed Dirty Taco's duck meat & duck skin offerings.

Google
These tacos have been the best so far since I came to NYC. I will be back. I was a bit skeptical, but I am glad I tried.

Google
Hidden gem 💎💎💎 for authentic California style street tacos. Incredible rare combinations keep the menu interesting and coming back for more. LOVE THiS PLACE. My favorite is the 👵🏻 Grandma’s Korean steak tacos. Perfect combo of sweet and spicy 🌶

Google
Holy hell…cannot say enough good things about this place. Los Tacos No. 1 is right down the street and has a huge line and while it’s great, it has nothing on Dirty Taco. The difference is these guys are chefs (used to work at Michelin starred restaurants) and so they treat the meat perfectly and infuse unique flavors (try the Korean steak for something different). My favorites were the two specials I tried, Cabeza which is braised beef cheek, and Al Pastor, in addition to the duck carnitas which is one of their staples. So fresh and flavorful—4 tacos was the perfect amount for me. Will come back here every time I’m in NY! And I’m from LA and travel to Mexico frequently so I know good tacos…

Google
Decent tacos but poor service, specifically from the older guy serving up the takeout orders. The cash register staff was great and friendly but when I kindly asked for salsa with my food that I paid $15 for, he scoffed and walked away with an attitude. For that reason alone, it's not worth my time to come back.

Google
Ordered the pork carnitas taco with mild sauce - it was $4.50. Really delicious taco - the meat was tender and the acidity of the sauce was really flavorful combined with the onions & cilantro. The employees were also friendly. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because it’s a bit expensive for a taco, although the place is located in Grand Central so it’s not surprising.

Google
The food is actually decent but the tortillas are so oily for the tacos I feel so sick after I eat this. I’ve tried it 3 times hoping it was a fluke because again, the food is delicious, but not worth the stomach ache for the rest of the evening all three times. I was excited to have tacos in grand central and hope it improves soon! It’s also not cheap

Yelp
I came here for lunch after my foreman had gotten me a duck taco to try. I said I would be going back and trying some more tacos from here! I went and got a duck skin taco that was crispy and very flavorful. With onions Cilantro. And had a beef and a pork taco too. These tacos are very very good. The meats are juicy and fresh and you get served pretty quickly. It's located on low level of grand central right next magnolia bakery. I probably will be back here again tomorrow to try some more tacos!

Yelp
Picked up food to go during lunchtime. Not a huge line and I appreciated placing my order on the kiosk so I could take my time selecting what I wanted. I ordered a duck quesadilla with mild sauce. Not overly greasy, not sure I got sauce and I forgot the sour cream. Otherwise it's good and a lot of food. I also got it to go, and it was wrapped well. Would definitely recommend coming here. Everyone was very pleasant too. Just remember that it's located in a food court and seating is limited.

Yelp
My partner and I got a relatively late meal here on Monday night, just before they were going to close. It was palpable how kind the guy behind the cash register was, even though I'm sure it had been a long day. I appreciated his cheery demeanor. We got some guac and chips as well as duck carnitas and grandma's steak tacos. We were impressed by the size of the guac - stand out! The tacos were also very juicy and good. Sure, I like some other topping options, but they were easy to scarf down and also of good size.

Yelp
Had an incredible night at Dirty Taco's TacOmakase the other night. Chefs Jake and Tay curated a delicious meal filled with high-quality ingredients paired with delicious beversges curated by Sam. In talking with everyone, we felt right at home. My partner and I loved learning all about the inspiration behind the TacOmakase experience, their backgrounds, the ingredients they had selected, and much more. The menu itself is very fun, featuring emojis to give you a sense of what you'll be enjoying with still giving an excitingelementof surprise. With that in mind, I won't dive too much into the dishes themselves, outside the fact that each one was better than the next. We both felt this experience was well worth the price of the ticket and will be recommending to all of our friends. Looking forward to returning and trying DT's usual menu, along with any upcoming concepts!!

Yelp
I wasn't going to add a review because I felt maybe I should give this place another visit, and maybe I would because I wanted to try the duck skin taco and they told me they were not ready, bummer! So I decided to go with Grandma's Korean Steak Taco. That was a disappointment. The meat was chopped up into mini size pieces, and in my opinion, you should never treat a steak that way, so I did not care for it at all. As a matter of fact, the two stars are for the toppings and taco itself. Im being generous for now. I also didn't care for the vibe of the place. Although it's in a train station underground, they could have been more available to give me more attention because they had no other customers around. I mean, it was like I was invisible, and that wasn't a good feeling. I give them no thumbs up. They should work on customer service skills, and I may return in the future or not. There are too many taco spots in the city for this not so good experience.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Yes, we know the tacos are on the pricey side, but they're absolutely worth it. These might be the best tacos I've ever had. I'd choose Dirty Tacos over Los Tacos No. 1 any day! My favorite is the Korean steak taco--it's super juicy and packed with flavor. The al pastor comes in as a close second, so tender and delicious. Every now and then, I treat myself to the crispy duck skin taco--it's to die for! And if you love hot sauce like I do, you've got to try the XXX hot sauce. It's insanely spicy with a great kick. I'm obsessed!

Yelp
You're looking for breakfast before your train. You're about to get Shake Shack but then you see a taco place with breakfast burritos, you think "Nice, a little flavor, spice it up!" Wrong. Stay at the shake shack. This is a warning. You will pay $11 for a dry microwaved egg and sausage patty wrapped in a tortilla with a drop of American cheese. Ask for it spicy? There will be a drop of something orange you can't taste mixed in. Ask for avocado? You'll get a few pieces of unripe avocado shoved in at the bottom. No pico, no beans, no rice, no potato, nothing at all that would make this taste like a burrito, it's like a Dunkin' Donuts breakfast sandwich dressed up like a burrito except less flavorful.

Yelp
This was my first time grabbing a bite at the dirty taco. I had a chicken taco, which was filled with meat and delicious. I also ordered chips with the guac, but my favorite was the chicken tortilla soup! It was so yummy and enough for two people. The servers were great and suggested I get a plastic bag from a neighboring restaurant as the weather was pouring rain outside. I wish they had a standalone restaurant so I could've sat down and enjoyed my meal. I just took it to go and stood up in Grand Central Station. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite. And I can't wait to return.

Barbara C.

Yelp
I have been here twice and the tacos are great. It is located in the food hall of Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. On this occasion I got the Korean steak taco. The taco was a bit doughy and had too much of a floury taste for me. The Korean steak was good it had a spicy tangy taste. I also got the green sauce which they make and is amazing they said they may be bottling and selling it soon.

Soo K.

Yelp
I think service was fine, but what really disappointed me was the food. I got a total of 5 tacos. Unfortunately, each and every taco tasted dry, bland and greasy. The salsa had no kick or flavor. But considering that I'm actually from Los Angeles, this is a really sad representation of LA tacos. I was really really rooting for it, but unfortunately it missed all the marks for me.

Dmitry D.

Yelp
The food look and tasted as if it was an afterthought. The food was so greasy and tasteless. I like to use my meals out to have great food but this was a waste and theeeeee worst tacos I ever had !!! Yes the menu looks really good prices not The worst But nope Complete fail. It doesn't help that the food court area and the table area has smelly homeless people all over dirty tables and nobody is doing a thing about it . It's not Dirty tacos fault but the food court mangers need to get rid of them and clean the place up . It made the experience much worse especially if the tourist come and see this .

G B.

Yelp
this place reminded me of chipotle. that should tell you to stay away. i got the veggie taco and its just mushrooms, peppers, onions, and i think cabbage. i got these a month ago so i don't remember the last veggie. the taco was overflowing with veggies which makes it hard to pick up and eat. i got chips and salsa on the side. they put mild salsa on the taco. i used my fork becuz it was so much. i just had a piece of onion and when i ate it, it was so freaking spicy it burned going down! i have mexican food all the time and its never too spicy to where i cant eat it. i just ended up getting a refund for the tacos but i kept the chips. those were actually good. but if you like spicy maybe this is for you. it also looked like a soggy mess. doesn't look appetizing at all.

Jen L.

Yelp
Solid street tacos- very simple and no frills! Got one of the steak and one of the chicken. These are served street style, the same way I had them in LA- so simple corn tortilla, some yummy grilled meat, and then raw onions and cilantro on top. The meat could afford to be a smidge more spiced and tender, but honestly fantastic for a quick bite and super generous with the quantity of meat. I found my taco shell to be falling apart. Service was fast- would come by again!

Nancy D.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way to a metro north train. I ordered a taco threesome and wanted to love it but found them to be pretty bland. And they didn't have real to go containers. I had to get on the train with a plate wrapped in foil. That seems odd for a place that only does take out food.

Z S.

Yelp
Given that this place is in a train station, I give five stars. The best restaurant of all I have visited in train stations. Tacos are delicious. It is not a sit down place but you can take your tacos and sit down in a nearby pizza place owned by the same owner.

Gitansh B.

Yelp
Simple. Quick. Chicken tacos definitely hit the spot - I liked the medium over the hot sauce/salsa. What more could you ask from somewhere in Grand Central when you're trying to catch a train? A good go to spot that I'll be back to in the future

Marcelo R.

Yelp
Had the Al Pastor, lengua, suadero, pork belly and tamarindo agua fresca. The meats were well seasoned along with the different salsas. Highly recommend the Al Pastor tacos and tamarindo water.

Jay K.

Yelp
Can't believe Dirty Taco made it to GCT. The tacos are pretty decent. The sauces are good too. The onions were so fresh and crisp. Staff was nice. It's in the dining hall, so it gets very busy during lunch time, but you have plenty of eating space throughout the entire concourse with plenty of high top tables. The price is a bit high but makes sense because of the location.

Latiece I.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place looking for a new spot to try for lunch and I was not disappointed. I ordered the chicken, Korean steak and duck tacos and opted for mango salsa on the chicken and duck. Everything was delicious! They have a self-ordering system which was easy to navigate and service was fast. I definitely recommend!

Dakota B.

Yelp
good simple tacos but a bit pricey at 5$ per taco, but quick service and very delicious

Crystal M.

Yelp
New spot! Love it! Employees are so kind and friendly. I ordered three duck carnitas combo which is 3 tacos, you can definitely mix and match if you want. There are 3 levels of spice mild, medium and hot. I'm Jamaican so the hot was not really hot but it was so flavorful. I was offered some other hot sauce samples and they were great! The tacos were hot, seasoned well and the tortillas were soft and warm. I'll be back

alexander m.

Yelp
Totally eh. Who goes to GCT anymore? Last place I want to spend $7 for a taco at. Taco was mediocre at best. Meat was chewy. Messed up my stomach after. Probably bottom of the bucket piece of meat. Will not return, will not recommend. Stay away.

Em P.

Yelp
Just tried their crispy duck skin taco and was absolutely blown away. These are definitely happening way more often when I stop by here again. From the moment I started to sandwich up my taco I could feel the crispiness of the skin through the toritlla. Once I took my first bite, it was game over. Flavor heaven. It's way too expensive for such a little taco, but if I'm gonna pay nearly $7 for a delicious taco, it might as well be this one. Don't sleep on this one.

Matt S.

Yelp
So I passed by here a few times, I was intrigued by the duck skin tacos but unfortunately they didn't have it when I was there. So I got the duck carnita taco instead with onions, cilantro, and hot sauce. It was fatty, and super tasty, I can eat like 17 of these lolz but had dinner plans later...Will definitely come back to try the duck skin taco next time.

Bob A.

Yelp
Look how nasty the bottom of this is. Stomach ache city. How can you possibly run a place where this is what you serve. I should have asked for my money back. Threw the other two out. Each bite, grease shot out from all sides. Beyond unacceptable.

Yeyo M.

Yelp
Without a doubt the best tacos I have ever had in my entire life. The quality of the ingredients are spectacular. The pork belly breakfast burrito is out of this world. My favourite taco was the carnitas. So glad I found this hidden gem and can't wait to come back! Worth wondering to Grand Central just for this.

Jess D.

Yelp
I love a good taco. I love, even more, an exotic taco. However, this taco was duck skin and was $6 for pry a 3 inch in diameter taco. The prices at this place are pretty steep for a taco place. The tacos are small and I'm sure that they get this often because when I looked at the taco in shock and asked the cashier "this is $6!?" She immediately called to another staff member to come over. I didn't ask for anything. I ate it but I'm not spending $6 on a taco again. For sure....

Rachel B.

Yelp
This place serves up some great-tasting tacos. I had a lamb barbacoa and pork carnitas taco and both were delicious! I also got a bag of chips and guac which chunky just how I like it. I didn't see any seating and one of the owners said that I could sit at a table in the adjacent pizza place. All in all, the food was fantastic and the service top-notch. Def will be back next time I'm in NYC.

Daniel L.

Yelp
ambiance = 100%. authentically New York in the bowels of manhattan. Owners are super fun and great great cooks. Love the chubby Asian guy and the blonde bigot!

Norma P.

Yelp
100% recommend - cool chefs and awesome food!!! Definitely try their monthly tacomakase!

Mary Z.

Yelp
These tacos were fireeeeee I don't usually love carne asada tacos because they're dry but not Dirty Taco. Their steak was juicy and tortilla crispy, just how I like 'em! Highly recommend!!

Daniel J.

Yelp
Absolute hidden gem in GCT... Unreal tacos, super flavorful, takes you back to the taco trucks you'd chase down growing up.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Best tacos I've ever had! So glad I didn't have time to eat at a dine-in restaurant before catching my train and ended up grabbing some carnitas tacos here instead. Most flavorful, tender carnitas ever. My friends, who were planning on going out to eat after I left, tasted mine and decided to forget the restaurant and get tacos instead. One got the duck tacos and they were amazing. Can't wait to go back! I'm going to try to work my way through the menu, one each time I catch a train.

Natalie A.

Yelp
best tacos i've ever had in the US. you can tell they put a lot of thought into their menu and flavors, a must try little spot in grand central!

Sara R.

Yelp
I was meeting friends for a trip to the Bronx botanical garden, and we all agreed to get food at Grand Central terminal beforehand. I am gluten-free and vegetarian and in general the options in the food art were looking pretty slim. And then I found dirty tacos and ordered the vegetarian option of three tacos. when I saw them being prepared, I have to admit they didn't look great. Wow was I wrong. These tacos were filled with a mix of roasted vegetables and a killer hot sauce. I love peppers and heat. this hot sauce was hot even for me but still excellent. Tortillas were great, substantial enough to hold the feeling neatly while eating on the train. All in all it made for a great lunch - highly recommend this place!

Matthew L.

Yelp
Great tacos! Great customer service! Great chefs! Their steak tacos are incredible. Same could be said about the pork and duck. Great food to snack on while waiting for my train to Ossining, NY

Brian C.

Yelp
Holy shiitake mushrooms! Proper LA tacos in NYC!!! I'm Korean. I know LA food. I frequent Los #1 Tacos every week... this place rocks! Don't miss out. Don't take my place in line.

Taylor S.

Yelp
THE BEST OF THE BEST!! Incredible flavors, the highest quality ingredients, friendly staff, and an extremely convenient location. An absolute must-visit!

Maddie R.

Yelp

Valerie L.

Yelp
The most amazing tacos in NYC! And the most amazing service! Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Grand Central!

Chasen W.

Yelp
Best tacos in NYC, hands down. As a Californian living in NYC - I have not been able to find a go-to spot for my taco fix but am so happy that dirty taco opened. You need to try them all, especially the crispy duck skin - you cannot get it anywhere else and it's the best taco I've ever had.

Christian P.

Yelp
Real LA tacos in New York! Chicken, carne asada, carnitas were fire and very filling. Chips and quac were great. Great service, clean and friendly staff.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Ever since moving from Austin, I've been trying to find my taxi spot... and finally the search is over! The duck taco & kbbq steak taco are a must try - breakfast burritos are also amazing

John R.

Yelp
Best tacos in NYC! This city finally has top quality tacos now that Dirty Taco opened. My favorites are the Duck and Grandma's short rib, especially when paired with a combo of their salsas (everything is good on the menu though). 10/10 will be back for more

J G.

Yelp
Overpriced and not very good. In addition there was a bone in one of my tacos. Recommend walking to Los Tacos No.1 which is right up the street and significantly better.

Ross B.

Yelp
Ordered a three combo. Went back for three more because they were just too good. Worth coming out your way for and not just in Transit. Grandmas Korean and Duck Skin

Ashwinn K.

Yelp
These are the best tacos we have found in NYC! I go weekly for lunch and order my personal favorites - carnitas, duck carnitas, and duck skin. My husband loves the grandma's korean steak. Everything is delicious, authentic, and comes out quickly!

Eli B.

Yelp
popped in to get some food before a train and was surprised to find a really good taco spot! got duck, short rib, and pork belly tacos. all we're really good but my favorites were the duck and short rib. not many good taco spots in nyc but this one's special

Ryan C.

Yelp
Best tacos in NYC hands down. Come for the pork carnitas, stay for the unique offerings like lengua, duck skin, and cabeza. Amazing take on street corn, and the chips and guac were the cherry on top. The chefs and staff are great and their passion for what they're making is apparent in the food
