"Dish Dive, one of Kirkwood’s tiniest restaurants, closes after dinner service on Valentine’s Day, according to posts on social media. The beloved BYOB restaurant is owned and operated by restaurateur Jeff Myers (Top Flr, the Sound Table). Opened in 2014 across from the East Lake Marta station, the restaurant shares a small house along College Avenue with Molasses Barber and Beauty next door. Dish Dive quickly became an under-the-radar favorite among Atlanta’s restaurant industry workers, chefs, and food-obsessed when it opened due to its relaxed atmosphere and unpretentious dishes. Myers once described Dish Dive as “for people who have tasted the ‘good life,’ but can’t afford it seven days of the week.” With seating for just under 25 people inside and few staff members, Myers was often on the floor taking orders and serving tables prior to the pandemic. Last year, the COVID-19 health crisis shifted the operation to takeout and dine-in service on the front patio, with the occasional pop-up chef in the kitchen." - Beth McKibben

BYOB for gourmet food in a casual environment. Never seen anything like it before. It's a tiny place- five tables and a bar that seats three. It's a good idea to call ahead for reservations (although we waited 25 minutes past our reservation). It's clear that everyone who works here is passionate about their food. I hear the menu changes all the time, so we'll be back for more!

Excellent dinner! It was a little cramped (although that's part of the charm!), and I missed having ice in my drink, but the food was top notch. Definitely get the steak and carrots if they're on the menu. My husband loved the Dive Fries (poutine). The Mac and Cheese was great. I was bummed there wasn't a dessert because I have a sweet tooth. Very unique establishment - if you are in the area, make a reservation and check it out!

Don't sleep on the pork belly. The service is so laid back and casual, almost too casual. Had to chase down the server to get menus and wine glasses. The food is definitely the star of this little establishment!

This hole in the wall is one of the best places to eat in the city. Make reservations, as seating is limited. BYOB. Not always dessert available. Every dish is amazing! The fries with mushroom gravy is too good. The carrots dish, really sounds uneventful, but so very good.

Great dinner and fun place, but don’t expect your standard restaurant. Place is tiny with seating for a dozen or so inside and about that many outside. Service and food are excellent along with price. Food presentation and spices/flavorings were super. I would suggest ordering a bunch of dishes and sharing amongst your friends. Bring your favorite adult beverage. I would encourage making reservations because you may be turned away if too many people are waiting for tables.

Ordered online for pickup, arrived when the app said the order would be ready and was greeted with confusion as the order hadn't been relayed to the chef. Left, came back, and was then accused of not paying and wouldn't release the food until we showed proof of payment (which they can see on their app as well). As for the food, the hanger steak was delicious albeit a small portion. The dive salad we received was spinach, tomato, and a bit of shredded parmesan (not the arugula, kale, goat cheese, and peaches described on the menu) - not at all worth $9. Mac of cheese was decent. I want to support local business, but this is one I probably won't be trying again.

A hidden gem of wonderful flavors in a home-layout turned restaurant. Take advantage of their number posted to text request the day's menu and reserve a table. Expect made-from-scratch pasta and friendly service and cooks behind the counter.

Such high quality for a great price, and under the radar, thank goodness. We enjoyed the goddess pasta, shrimp curry, and hanger steak. All were delicious and beautifully plated.
