Okay. What? How have I never heard of this place? Not much seems to have changed here since 1976 and I love it! It is like visiting The Regal Beagle from Three's Company. Dark, cozy, clean, friendly, strong classy drinks (try the wild cherry one!), outstanding burgers, and staff is the friendliest in town. Thursday night is live jazz night and the last Sunday of the month is Vintage Vegas night. Can't wait to see what that is like! Don't miss out on a great burger ($12 or $8 on Wednesdays!) and a cool vintage vibe at this Vegas gem! Oh! Pay the $2 upcharge for waffle fries. They are much better than the regular ones. I tried both. Thanks to Don and Carl (I think we're their names) for a really great experience today!

I absolutely love this place! The best half pound burger you ever had! The burger is huge, freshly prepared and delicious. The staff there is amazing and does everything to make your experience pleasurable. Beautiful little bar that also has live jazz. Highly recommend this place!

A friend of mine told me about this place. I went and checked it out. Nice local spot with nice people. Kami serves great drinks. The food was good. I forgot the kitchen guys name. And the prices were really reasonable too. I've actually been back a few times and enjoyed it every time.

Went for the first time, been wanting to try this place for awhile now. It’s a nice place with a cozy relaxed atmosphere, and a small stage with a decent set up for what I have read is for live Jazz (Really enjoy good Jazz). I had the patty melt with potato salad and my friend had the steak sandwich with a free upgrade to waffle fries since there out of straight cut at the time and a house beers called 86 or 89 or 72 something like that. The service was good, Server made some good menu suggestions gave us a bit of history and info on the owners of the bar, and over all service and food was good. The killer of this review and reason me and my friend will never go back in the forced 20% tip on a 2-party check. I will call it like it is a call out the owners for being petty and cheap. If you cannot run your business without paying your employees a wage that does not relay on forced tips then maby it’s time to go ahead and retire sell your place to some Mexa CAN! and have them turn it in to just another generic taco shop one of hundreds in the area. Add to the fact the forced tip was not agreed to or even talked about to at the start of my order, the forced tip was only told to us when the server gave us the check after running my CC. So, I felt cheated and scammed. I had a tip amount already decided on before I got my check was going to be 10 bucks. But after learning of the forced tip which came to about $8.60, I just left it and did not say anything, But I can guarantee I nor my friend will be back to that place and to the old people that own this place just make it easy and get out of food and drink business, if this is the only way yall people are able to stay in business. The tipping culture in the country is getting out of hand. A tip is something you should never expect and it’s not guaranteed ever.

This is a jazz bar and grill. Not a dispensary. That being said. Five stars all the way around. Burgers were amazing. Plenty of food. Chill atmosphere. I recommend this spot if your looking for an amazing burger meal!

This place has REAL Bartenders that know how to make drinks !! Every drink I had ordered was very good and strong. Some may think $25 or $20 is expensive for one alcohol drink BUT trust me it was worth every penny. Love their Lemon DROP 🍋 Martini , Old Fashioned, AMF and Las Vegas Dealer ( I hope that was the correct name) was very good. The kitchen menu is very limited but the food was superb ! I just wished they had salads on the menu because I dont want to always have to choose anything heavy from the menu. My husband loves their burgers.

Definitely old school Vegas vibes. Video poker at the bar, lush carpet on the floors. From the outside you'd think it was a pot shop or speak easy as it is a non discript building with no windows. The bartender was great to chat with and brought delicious food along with fun jokes. Nothing super special about the fries though tasty. Huge pickle slice which I loved and a good burger

This is a unique bar located in a older area of Vegas. It was my first time here tonight with some friend who had been here before. They have a decent size bar with a nice size dining area and a elevated area for love music where they have people playing jazz. We enjoyed some wings, fingers, fried mushroom and burgers. We all enjoyed our food along with beverages served by RJ. He was a really polite and attentive guy to was there quite a lot making sure our group of 9 was well taken care of.

Prices have gone WAY up here, it's a travesty. They automatically add 20% gratuity to your check, regardless of how many are in your party. How is that a thing?

Great food and service. Entertainment is wonderful best burgers shrimp tuna melt to live for and friendly atmosphere. Jazz is done well too. Catch a man named Ronnie Rose he is excellent.

Excellent entertainment and good food. Check out Jazz on Thursday nights. Great service. They do charge a 20%gratuity automatically and it's a 10.00 cover charge. If you come before the music it's no charge.

The Tuna Melt is great! The atmosphere is very laid back and chill. The service is outstanding and very fast. We visiting on a night when a band was playing live jazz music and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The decor is out of date and it doesn't matter a bit. Loved this place and will definitely come back on my next trip to Las Vegas.

What an great snapshot in time... straight out of the 70's and that's so refreshing.... In a place like Vegas that is all about "Out with the old and in with the new and fancy." The bartender was so very friendly and we got lucky enough to meet the most wonderful owner. She was so sweet a welcoming to us first timers. We came cause of friends recommended there hamburgers to us, and boy we were not disappointed. It is a bit of a drive since we live In Summerlin, but we will definitely make the drive for this lovable dive again!

Don't let the name fool you: this isn't a place to get high or buy weed -- but a quaint, charming jazz dive bar with AMAZING food! We sat at the bar (there are gaming machines as well as dining tables) to watch the basketball game. The bartender, Alex was an absolute delight: funny, personable, and when I made my annoying request for a "something sweet" drink, created delicious unique cocktails I couldn't get enough of. We came in hungry and she recommended their burgers (which was juicy and cooked to perfection) and I also ordered their turkey club (apparently they make a whole turkey for them; to which I thoroughly enjoyed!). I was very intrigued that they have an array of house sauces that they make -- to which I HAD to try most of. My favorites were the serrano peach ketchup, whiskey apple bbq sauce, and while I am not a mustard fan, I did like their special mystery mustard as well! Overall, we had a great first experience at the Dispensary Lounge and have no complaints! It is a different vibe than most bars, and was a great place to wind down and get some good eats! We definitely will be back to see Alex as well as try more items on the menu! :)

When I first drove by this place, I assumed it was yet another marijuana dispensary- so not my style. Little did I know, it came across my radar again when planning a date night; it's actually a bar that offers weekend live jazz performances! My guy and I went in one night and had a fairly good time. Your experience will depend on who is performing, as with any live performance. The schedule of performers is online and up to date, and apparently we got a guest singer who didn't really vibe with the house band, so it wasn't great, but she was talented. Note that there is a two drink minimum but prices are low. Dress up a bit if you go for jazz night, and go early for seating. The ventilation was fairly good and though we left smelling vaguely smoky, it wasn't overwhelming during our visit and didn't seem to be allowed during the performances. If you go on a typical day, it's a regular bar but they're known for their great burgers. I haven't yet made it by again to try one but it's definitely on my list to revisit.

Went here to celebrate a birthday, had a live jazz set. Loved the ambience of this place, very cool and swanky

LIAR LIAR LIAR It is incredulous on Carl P's part that he can lie through his teeth in our presence. Check out the photo of his personal message to us. He greeted us at the door tonight and even remembered us. Then he was bold enough to make up some excuse he was right even though he wrote he had submitted the burger order incorrectly.

Dispensary Lounge has NOTHING to do with 420! I was invited to this lounge for a night of live jazz! Boy does this little unassuming place knock your socks off and intoxicate you! *Once Yelp allows us to upload previously recorded videos, I will upload the video from my personal experience.* Everyone dressed up a little and we arrived early enough to take a few photos at the tables on stage. We did remain on with drinks during the actual performance as well! This is a must try for tourists and anyone that wants to do something a little bit different in Las Vegas! There is something special about full live band, a silky smooth voice, and great value for your money with drinks within an old Las Vegas atmosphere. Ambience: 5/5 Drinks:5/5 Prices: 5/5

I only come on nights when there is live jazz. Burgers are great. Atmosphere is great. Cool waiter. Great music. Only con would be sometimes it smells like smoke. Depending on the day.

I just texted a friend in Las Vegas. He came out to visit California and we ended up going on a carnival cruise while we were on it. I asked him if he had ever been to the dispensary lounge. This morning I looked at the yelp review and looked at the pictures. I also realized I forgot my sweater in my friends truck so I think it's a good idea to drive to Las Vegas and go get it because I have to have a dispensary burger with the honey mustard whiskey sauce seeing the pictures reminded me of so many good times when I lived in Las Vegas in the late 90s early 2000s, it's great to see this. Classic lounge is still intact up and running and I called. It's the same bartenders. Absolutely fantastic not to be places I would drive to just to get a cheeseburger and some Fond Memories. This is legit lounge with Carpet and kick back areas with a water wheel. It reminds me of when I would go out with my parents to grown-up places. There is no pool table or darts at least not when I was going there the owner would not have it her name was Adele. I fondly also remember her constantly cleaning and chatting with everyone so cheerful and happy. I've never seen a lady cleaning on a ladder and Gucci shoes before she is so cool. The honey mustard whiskey sauce that you get with the cheeseburger is her recipe and it's worth your time to visit this classic Las Vegas lounge you won't be disappointed.

Nice quiet place to drink and hang. No 420 but cig smoking at bar area. Bar food is great with large Ass portions for avg prices. Staff was busy but still awesome !

I've tried to find ANY place I like as much as THE Dispensary Lounge. Haven't so far. THE BEST cheesesteak sandwich on planet Earth. THE BEST bartenders (btw, the sweetest/cutest daytime bartender). Customers are as friendly as the staff. Often I'll notice a bartender introduce different patrons to one another. Despite the occasional celebrity, most of the people are regulars. This is a dive bar? Clean, excellent staff, incredible food. Dispensary Lounge is a guilty pleasure going on for 9 yrs now.

My husband and I were doing a "retro Vegas" trip, mainly focused on the 70s. For our purposes, the Dispensary Lounge was perfect! Definitely a 70s vibe. It was a bit out of the way, around a $15ish ride from the strip. But we were going for the vibe and get like it was worth it. Although, our driver thought we were trying to buy weed and kept trying to convince us to go to a dispensary he was recommending. The bar itself was no frills. No drink menu, no blended drinks, just straight up beer and liquor. The drinks were on the cheap side, which I always appreciate. They also had a full restaurant, which we didn't try. We really loved the unique 70s vibe. The pictures don't really do the vibe justice. There was a jazz band setting up when we were there, but we didn't get to see them play. But it looked like an elaborate set-up.. piano, saxophone, flute, tenor sax.. quite the party waiting to happen! Maybe next time we'll catch the show.

This burger was so good!! 1/2 pound patty cooked to a perfect medium. There was a lot of Bleu cheese, unlike some other places that skimp out and give just a tiny bit of it. Onion rings were so good too!! Perfectly cooked with a light and crispy batter. Sondra was magnificent. She is such a nice person and asked our party of five if we wanted separate checks. I appreciate such foresight. Some places make it sound like getting separate checks is like moving mountains, but not Sondra. She's a champ!! Will definitely be back for another buger food coma!!

Found a hidden gem!! Stopped by for a few drinks on a Sunday Funday, good service, good drinks, good people. And free chili cheese hotdogs and delicious tator tots for player on Sunday!!

I came here on Saturday night for the first time to hear some dynamite live jazz with a group of friends and it did not disappoint! The live jazz was simply outstanding and you cannot beat five dollars for the jazz with a minimum one drink purchase! I highly recommend coming here to enjoy the live jazz, the crowd was great and so was the service! I'll definitely be back.

Love the music! Wow! Musicians do ask for tips and there is a minimum purchase requirement. Food was very good and atmosphere was relaxing. Wasn't sure about the service because of my initial impression when I walked in but my server ended up being very nice. Definitely recommended for Jazz lovers from 10AM to 2PM. Double check the days and hours for music. 2nd visit. Still loving it. Waitress is very sweet. Remember to seat yourself.

I am always on the hunt looking for a new dive bar to check out in Las Vegas. This lounge is definitely legendary and historical to say the least! The dispensary has been around for 43 years and has some stories to go along with its history. It was honorably mentioned as 1 of the top 10 dive bars in playboy magazine. True story! The decor is pretty old school with the carpet and faux flowers but you will quickly get over it with the cheap drink prices and awesome bartender service! Around midnight the kitchen closes unless it's a Friday or Saturday night. I will come back again to try their food because I heard it was good.

The best jazz club ever! High quality musicians, fun atmosphere, intelligent audience - clearly into listening and not talking over music. Very friendly staff and the right balance of attentiveness and letting you enjoy the music. A great experience, memorable evening, and a must visit again!!!

I have lots of details to add later but I want to get in here that I highly recommend this place. The food and drinks were amazingly wonderful, and the staff friendly and the entertainment fantastic. We happened to come in on an open mic night and it was the best part of our entire Vegas trip.

I was only here once... in 2019 ; live music was unbelievable. Food was awesome, I even won enough to pay for the evenings food, beverage and entertainment. ( video gaming ) The music was awesome,.. when it returns, I will too! Great hamburger!

This place is the best. They press their own burgers and have great homemade sauces to go with them. It seemed like a lot of people were winning on the slots. The bartenders are the best.

I went in on a random Thursday evening to grab a quick drink. I had always been curious about this place but had never been inside. The staff was friendly and seemed to know a couple regulars. I was in the mood to just veg and be alone. There were plenty of comfortable seating options in the lounge area. Chill vibes! There were a couple of woman having dinner and a few people gambling. I wasn't there for the live music but it seemed like a good setup for it. Drinks were strong and decently priced. I'll be back for sure!

What a great little club. My husband and I were looking for something different for yet another trip to Vegas. We found it. Neat little bar with hand crafted drinks and a self-serve whiskey machine. Self serve rye whiskey! Trio jazz group played beautiful music and made the night enjoyable. Grab a seat and keep the old fashions coming!

You may want to check their website before venturing out, to be sure there is music offered and the lineup. They do charge $5 per person when live music is offered unless you are gaming-it is added to your tab, which is convenient. A bit away from it all, in the older SE corner of Vegas in a strip mall, but a short ride from the strip. The menu boasts everything from appetizers to full-course dinner, with a daily special posted. On this day, it was a burger and fries for only $7.95! Drinks are good, and the waitress makes the rounds quickly- I barely had a chance to be empty. I really enjoyed listening to a local jazz ensemble, sitting on a comfy couch, with a deliciously cold cocktail in my hand. If you like authentic over flashy, appreciate jazz, and desire reasonable menu prices, seek this place out.

I've been frequenting this place for 8 years. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dispensary Lounge. It is unpretentious and authentically Vegas. Food is A+ (try the steak and cheese). Patrons are interesting and friendly. The staff is excellent.

An iconic Las Vegas bar and jazz club. This place is amazing, you go back in time with the shag carpet. The owner is hands on and a great guy. He came up to us and chatted like we had been friends for years. Good was awesome.

Nice ambiance ! Late night for drinks and music. Didn't get to taste the food. Just enjoyed a cocktail at the bar listening to live music with just a piano, a bass and Jonathan Karant, jazz singer and I really enjoyed my evening. They have those jazz evenings every Friday and Saturday from 10pm to 2:00am.

Coworkers and fellow Yelpers rave about this "burger" joint. At least that is what I thought "the Dispensary" was, until I drove up and saw no windows and that the burger joint is actually a lounge. No big deal, I was still there to get some great tasting burger that is priced at a terrific value at $4.95 + $0.50 for cheese and $0.75 for bacon, grilled onions or mushrooms upgrade options. The burger was definitely way better tasting than the average fast food chains. It is not a fancy burger by any means, just one that is prepared expertly and packed with flavor. The service was good. The food came out fairly quickly, and the waitress checked up on us regularly. The entire experience was just great. And while I was there, early evening on a Monday night, it wasn't smokey as stated in Nelson's review. So that was a plus. The carpet was a surprising feature in this lounge, which is pretty cool. But I still fought the urge to go bare foot in this establishment. Looking forward to the next burger excursion.

This is a nice little spot for some good and cheap food. I was expecting something totally dive-y. But it's actually rather nice inside and not at all what I was expecting. It's small with a bar area and then a couple of booths and tables. There's also a giant water wheel adorning the far wall. The bartender was clad in what almost seemed like a lingerie nightie, which totally didn't fit the vibe or decor. But hey, that's all part of its charm I suppose. The bartender was super nice, friendly, and attentive - definitely took good care of me. The patrons sitting a booths, however, seemed to be annoyed with their server - who definitely seemed less than charming. The burger was an excellent deal and after reading so much about it, I couldn't pass it up. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had, but for the price, it was incredibly delicious. And the fries were good too. And I loved that the condiments included a house-made honey mustard. All in all, I had a pleasant lunch experience here and will definitely be back.

Music is great. This is the main reason to go, but they really need to work on the ventilation, and shape the place up a little. It is outdated and is meant to be that way but there are several things that can be renewed or taken out as well. Also, there are people that smoke there and it does not seem like it's ventilated enough to go anywhere. There food options are mostly American bar/style. I think the funniest thing is when I asked for a didn't menu the bartender told me they don't have one. The music itself is pretty good though as the owner is talented (playing piano) and the bands are authentic.

Best way to enjoy their 1/2 pound loaded burger? When no one else is there!(besides the bartender and the waitress) Stopped in at 11am which was perfect, because we had the whole place to ourselves and got to have our burger fix without any secondhand smoke. Been here twice now, the first time I heard they have great burgers and that night it was very good although a little pricey for an $18 burger. There are cheaper options as I ordered the golden knight which comes pretty loaded but still a little pricey but I was cool with it. The burger was delicious. Tonight I returned and ordered the same, it was not the same burger. The burger was trash, way over seasoned, the sauce that came with it looked like a side if grease and didn't taste very good. Some kind of teriyaki im guessing, I asked for a side of ranch and they just must have forgotten but thats not a huge deal, it happens but I was very disappointed in the burger. Its unfortunate because I was looking forward to it after a long day of golf. I would have gone back and have them remake it but I was tired and done running around for the day. Waste of $18...

It pays off stalking other yelpers. LOL jk. I've noticed a bunch of check ins to this place over the past couple weeks so had to check it out for myself. I use to live right around the corner, saw it but never thought of going in. I use to walk pass it all the time. Power of yelp brought me here. $3.95 for a 1/2 pound char-burger cooked to your liking came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and wedged pickle between a great tasting bun. The burger also came with fries. I added mushrooms for $0.75 extra but you can also add bacon, cheese, or onions for extra charge. I wonder if they'd fried an egg. I'll find out tomorrow LOL. They'll also bring small bowls of mayo, ketchup, and my favorite honey mustard. If you throw all of that together hands down one of the best burger in town. I loved it. Oh so yummy. Love the decoration, nice chill spot. Service was excellent, food came out quickly and I was always checked on. When I came in there was only me and another person. Throughout this late lunch it started filling up and server kept giving excellent service. Funniest moment was when she spilled some of the change on the ground at my table and she jokingly said see I even dropped to my knees for you or something in that line. LOL it could've gone different ways with that. 5 star for service, for food so what I only had the burger, and for decoration. I'll be back. if you're paying with your card and your total is less than $20 you can still pay but they're gonna have to charge your for $20 and give you the change.

This place is total Amazing, the food the entertainment I really miss it can't want for the live music to return,.. one of my go to places for me and my Hubby on the weekend. Kudos to the Dispensary Lounge you'll are doing it right.

A real pearl in Vegas! Great music, good food and awesome people. Fri & Sat have live jazz music (so rare to find these days) and they have some other events during the week as well. The vibe is completely non-Vegas with comfortable lounge chairs, wall to wall carpets and unique decor. Definitely worth seeing!

The place is cool w/a jazz band to add to the ambiance. The food is typically satisfying. Although I ordered appetizers while here but of course I had to order their half pound cheeseburger deal to go! Lol sooo feeling rather jazzy w/my 2 grown babies drinking their choice of whiskey! Lol
