"We have a promising new Wrigleyville patio that’s opening on July 15th. The Diver at the Park is a Tulum-inspired restaurant that will have a huge dog-friendly beer garden. Along with dogs, the patio will have a vintage camper bar, and serve food like tacos, nachos, and ceviches. They’ll also do a bottomless brunch on the weekend." - adrian kane

"The Diver at the Park is a Tulum-inspired restaurant in Wrigleyville with a large fenced-in beer garden. And as you might have deduced from that description, this is a party patio. The outdoor (and dog-friendly) space is huge, has picnic tables, swings, a vintage camper bar, and serves food like tacos, nachos, and ceviches. They also do a bottomless brunch on the weekend. Maybe you can train your dog to call the Uber." - Adrian Kane

Fantastic staff, incredible atmosphere, food was delicious. Primarily Latin owned and also a women-empowered establishment. We were late to our reservation but still had no problem getting seated in our preferred section immediately. Food was ready promptly and our cocktails were delicious—even during happy hour (I would know; I’ve worked as a bartender in the area for a long time). I am dedicated to becoming a regular here. (Did I mention $5 margs on non-game days?!)

I usually go to the Diver on Wells St. in River North and I decided to check out the new one in Wrigleywille. Needless to say, I had a wonderful time. The servers were all very professional and welcoming just as I expected knowing the culture and environment of the other location. I must say that I was very impressed with the service and hospitality. I truly enjoy spending time at this place and would definitely recommend it to my friends and acquaintances. Also, the food is always phenomenal. These chicken quesadillas were scrumptious.

It's a nice area to gather with a group. The decor is pretty and there are TVs inside and out on the patio. I was able to bring my dog since I was seated outdoors, and our server was kind enough to bring a bowl of water for him. We had to share a picnic table since it was just two of us, but we weren't too close to the other diners. We got the carne asada, shrimp, and chicken pastor. Our favorite was the chicken pastor, alot of meat served in each taco. The sunset in playa cocktail was good too, had watermelon pieces.

Stopped by on a date and was charged $27 and change for a daiquiri and a white claw. We were only given a credit card receipt until I had to ask for a itemized one which had 20% gratuity built in. I seems as tho they trying to hide this from our party of two. NOT TELLING PEOPLE YOU INCLUDED GRATUITY IS WRONG & BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE.

Cute bar with a range of margaritas and other cocktails to your choice. Some food is on the menu too. Awesome outside seating - beautiful and cosy. Welcoming and helpful staff.

Google
This place was excellent! Super good service. Guac was sooo good and tastes super fresh and the chips were even warm! The fish tacos were excellent. A great date spot too because it’s so cute!

Google
Let me start off by saying this place is definitely a place everyone should check out. From the decor to the food and especially the drinks everything was delicious perfect for a day/night out or a pre game before the Cubs game the out door patio is beautiful.I definitely will be back.

The place is now called Sol. Friendly staff, good drinks and great food. The hibiscus mezcal drink and the jerk chicken tacos are 🔥.

Yelp
Diver at the Park is a seriously beautiful spot! I love the decor, and that it brings a little taste of Tulum to Wrigleyville. Robbie was an awesome server. When we arrived, there was just one or two other tables there -- and when he noticed no one was serving us jumped in and took our order. We found out we were there during happy hour and margaritas were only $6. Score! I went with the hibiscus marg. I was kind of disappointed to see they are served in plastic cups. I'm hoping that's just for the happy hour special and the full price margaritas are in a proper glass. The margarita was tasty either way - though I'm a sucker for salt served with my mine. The chips and salsa were pretty average. Wrigleyville/Lakeview has so many amazing Mexican restaurants, so my standards for the basics are pretty high, and unfortunately neither the chips or salsa tasted very fresh. For my meal, I went with the the baja fish tacos. It comes with an order of two served on blue corn tortillas. I really enjoyed these! The fish was crispy and was served with a tasty sauce. My husband ordered the chicken pastor quesadilla and really liked it as well. We also ordered a side of the street corn elotes, but never ended up receiving it :( I do think Diver is more of a spot I would come for drinks rather than food in the future. I'd also love to try the brunch menu and Dot (the speakeasy!). I hope to come back in a few months when Diver is more established in the neighborhood. I think they have a great thing going, just come kinks that need to be ironed out.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday. We found parking right in front; SCORE! The ambiance here is great! Such a nice outdoor space. The menu was limited, but didn't disappoint. The drinks were delicious too!!!!

Yelp
Sat down, six + minutes before being noticed by an employee who was working outside of our area- Robbie caught that we hadn't been addressed and was quite apologetic, honestly saving the whole experience before I mentally checked out. Kudos to the staff for quickly asking the people who were smoking next to us on the patio to relocate outside of the restaurant. They were tactful and still very diplomatic- no harm no foul. Margaritas are small but strong. Would probably be a rough deal outside Happy Hour ($12)- but at $6 each within HH they're solid. Chips and salsa are of the store-bought variety. Lacking somewhat but I got the impression this was a bar first and restaurant after. Quesadilla was pretty solid. Food came out quickly. One dumb little sticking point for me was Food Network playing on all the TVs- just an odd thing for a restaurant to do.

Yelp
This place is truly adorable. That is for sure. I was excited to sit out on the patio for our drag brunch and spend some time in that area of Chicago. The problem is, they must not have that many drag brunches, or brunches for that matter. The menu had no brunch food and the weirdest part was that the deals were $30 for bottomless mimosas and $50 for bottomless and one menu item...but there were zero menu items for $20 or even more than $20. Just a crappy deal that I hope people figured out. Our waiter was GREAT but he was essentially the only waiter out there, so we waited forever for all of our things and had to repeat ask him for everything. It was certainly understaffed. When it came to the drag show, the queens were great, but there was about a 2 hour long break between their first numbers and their second numbers. Every drag show I've ever been to the queens to more than two numbers and there isn't any kind of break like that. It was also tough for many individuals to see the show because of the layout. If you're interested in going here, I would recommend not going to drag brunch and maybe just stopping in for a meal.

Yelp
I love the decorations and the environment. This is so Mexican! There are not too many choices for food. We had some taco and quesadilla. The steak quesadilla is recommended. My friend didn't like the cocktail . I had a mock tail, which was good, I think.

Tammy W.

Yelp
We come here after our Tuesday night runs. The outdoor space is nice and great for a large group like ours. They have a tent up right now for the winter months. They give us a $5 house marg special for our run club which is appreciated. Margs are usually made well, but occasionally are watery. Food is okay - not bad, not amazing. The service is generally good, but in recent weeks they started adding in gratuity without telling us. I understand because we are a large group, but it's a bit sneaky to do without telling us, especially since we've been going here for 4 months (and bringing a ton of business for a Tuesday night). With the number of bars in the area, I probably won't come here outside of run club, but it's definitely a great place for our post-run hangouts!

Yelp
Sorry gang. This place has good reviews so far but I can't agree. Our waiter was pretty darn awful. There was a part of women celebrating at a table behind us, that he atood around and flirted with for moat of our visit. I have no doubt he was just trying to increase his tip, not knowing what a great tipper I am. We sat unattended after we were sat for at least 10 minutes. And they were not that busy. We finally got another waiter's attention, who took our drink order and appetizers. Our actual waiter finally showed up a few minutes later to tell us they had no sangria. So we switched to margaritas. It took 30 minutes for our waiter to check on us and find out we hadn't received our drinks. And then he brought them out immediately. Were they sitting on the bar!!! We got our food 20 minutes before the drinks and the vegetarian tacos and steak bowls were good and the guacamole was great. But the GD busboy had to refill our water. Lastly the margaritas were awful. Cheap tequila and way too much. I want a drink that tastes good, and I loooove margaritas. They are just trying to get people wasted here. And it wasn't cheap either. The other waiter I mentioned seemed very attentive. We wish we were sat in his section. His name was Robby. Please ask for him if you come here. Pretty please.

Genesis M.

Yelp
I had their Mexican corn here and it was not it. The corn wasn't fully cooked and the toppings did not pair well together. I do understand people try to do their spin on a tradition dish but it just wasn't to my tasting.

Ali M.

Yelp
I wanted to really like this place but it fell a bit short for me. The decor is very tulum and it's a fun vibe. Big outdoor patio with lots of seating. Outdoor seating areas are really only big enough for 4 comfortably. They have do have some larger picnic tables. Unfortunately, though the vibe is fun, the food and drinks are just okay. Margaritas were not strong and were pretty small for $12. Same for the food. Fish taco was bland and the al pastor was dry. Nothing was really all that flavorful. Overall I'd say it's quite expensive for the portion, area, and quality of the food.

Yelp
This was another must try restaurant I chose for my Chicago tour! It looks bigger in TikTok videos buttttt it was still a cute place nonetheless! The hanging decor from the ceiling, the plants, the Spanish tile flooring along with the neutral tones reminded me of the rainforest and Mexico at the same time. I ordered the elote, potato flautas, the surf and turf torta and my husband got the chicken torta. I got the white sangria which was ehhhh, subpar. But the food honestly made up for the drink. The elote comes with a bed of fresh tortilla chips which I thought was different (in a good way). It's not like the street corn I'm used to on a cob, it's loose corn in a bowl with all the general toppings, Mayo, chili powder, and cheese. The potato flautas were SOOOO GOOD y'all! It's an appetizer so they only give you 4 small pieces but it's very flavorful and served with guacamole and crema on top. The surf and turf torta gives you a generous amount of beef and lobster! I'm talking chunky pieces of lobster! I'm kind of shocked that it didn't cost a little more! My husband regretted getting the chicken torta after he tasted mine - the chicken appears to be fried in Panko crumbs but I could be wrong. Our waiter wasn't very attentive but he was definitely nice - in his defense he was the only waiter there aside from the hostess so that kinda sucked. Overall I really liked it here. If I come back to Chicago in the future I would return to this restaurant.

Yelp
The worst service experience I've ever experienced. He messed up our order It was 8 pm and they were running out of everything We asked for a napkin and he didn't check in with us or bring it out until it was time for a check and even then only brought one single napkin Then rushed us to leave Two other friends have had awful server experiences.

Yelp
DIVE IN I'm so excited to see the Diver from River North has now opened up a new and second location in Wrigley. This location is off the hook. We arrived tonight after a Cubs loss. Plus the Cubs traded Anthony Rizzo to the Yankees. Thanks Tom for trading away the heart and soul of the Cubs. I guess the Cubs will win again in 100 years. Luckily we were able to drown our sours here with some amazing craft cocktails. We started on the rooftop deck here at Diver. The views up here were amazing. We were able to see downtown Chicago. It's totally a million dollar view from up here. After checking out the views we headed down to the beer garden for some food. The beer garden rocks. I loved that it was open air. We enjoyed some vegetarian tacos which were fantastic. I'm not a veggie guy but the sautéed veggies worked. We then headed down to the speakeasy in the basement. Tonight was the grand opening of Dot their new speakeasy which is dedicated to women. The space is really cool and there is a women in sports theme. The name Dot comes from the movie filmed at Wrigley called "A League of their Own". Unfortunately Madonna and Tom Hanks were not in attendance but there was a cool live dj mixing it up. The sweet tunes matched our swanky cocktails. I could not ask for a better night. I recommend you try The Finch made with bourbon, peach purée, St Germaine and lemon juice. It's a home run. Before we left we headed up to the main bar to grab a few more tacos, before we headed home. We started with some guacamole and chips. The guac was crazy good. I also love that the chips were not covered in salt. We also had some chicken and fish tacos. They were both fantastic. Each Taco came with a special sauce. The sauces were so good. We also met Chef Sergio who brought us out a hot sauce. This sauce was on fire and totally how we like to heat things up. The spice level was exactly where we like to be. Luckily I had a Modelo beer to cool me down. This location is amazing. It's like an adventure. There's a roof top and a beer garden and an underground speakeasy. Who could ask for anything more? This venue has it all covered and is going to be an incredible staple when it comes to visiting Wrigley. The Cubs may be rebuilding but The Diver is standing strong. Cheers to great food and cocktails.

Yelp
Came on a whim and loved the aesthetics of this restaurant and their outdoor patio. We got sat at a long picnic table and received waters right away. It took almost ten mins to get a server and their front desk only came up to us to ask us to move down the picnic table so they can seat a larger party where we were. It was somewhat frustrating and asked her if we can order our drinks and food with someone. A server came up to us and took our food and drink order. Our food came out within 5 minutes but our margarita pitcher ended up coming after we already finished our meal. We ordered guac and chips, a chicken quesadilla, and a steak quesadilla which were all delicious especially the dipping sauces, but the portion sizes were so small for the price of what they all were. The music was really good and the outdoor vibes, but I personally don't feel like the service matched up to its expectations. I paid about $75 for the total bill in all.

Jacy A.

Yelp
The patio is lit. The music is great. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. You will likely share an outside table situation. Lots of people take selfies in front of the deconstructed trees. The food comes out fast. The street corn elotes are good.

Leigh G.

Yelp
Not sure if it's good or not because we had a reservation for 1 pm on a Saturday and we arrived and they were not open. Called the day before to make the reservation and was told we were good to go. Wrong.

Noemis M.

Yelp
Food was great, drinks not so much. The ambience was nice but you could tell it was not maintained. Waited could of paid us more attention but the food made it worth it.

Elena O.

Yelp
Absolutely love the ambiance!! The music, food and cocktails were phenomenal! I love the veggie tacos and the watermelon margarita. I highly recommend visiting the place! You will not be disappointed. I especially love the basement, 'Dot', the area is dedicated to women in sport! Such a breathtaking dedication. Great photo opp!

Eden L.

Yelp
I had a rough brunch experience this morning. We actually left after only 10 min. We were sat in the sun, with hot table & chairs. We requested an umbrella, which fell on us. I can't eat eggs, and the entire small brunch menu was glorified scrambled eggs. Too bad- was looking forward to the drag brunch :/

Tommy M.

Yelp
Nice vibe and service was fast. I got the chicken pastor quesadilla which was good except I wish it came with more than just cheese and chicken. Side of pico, guacamole, etc.. food options were taco's,quesadillas, and bowls. Basically all of the same ingredients but just prepared in different forms

Siri M.

Yelp
I thought this spot was just okay. I enjoyed my bowl and would go back for drinks. For some reason we were seated outside in the tent when there was plenty of seating indoors, so our food got cold quickly. The decorations were cute!

Desiree C.

Yelp
The decor is beautiful; however, the tacos lack massive flavor. They were completely bland, and I had the trio of tacos. The drinks here are not handcrafted, which would be a nice touch. They are premixed already and very sweet. Hopefully, this place can find its lane because I see much potential, but they need to spruce up the menu by flavoring up the food and adding more options. Handcrafted margaritas would also be ideal.

Noelle W.

Yelp
The ambiance was great, the inside was just as beautiful as the patio. There was a lot of greenery and a bohemian vibe. The food was good but nothing special, I would describe as a simple menu. The drinks were good, but again nothing special. This is a good place to go w the girls for brunch or lunch date.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Not good. Decent potential but food and drink fall short, especially for the price. Chips and salsa were low grade grocery store quality and the elote was mostly flavorless. If they revamp the menu and get a better chef (or any chef at all idk what the deal is) it could be a great hangout spot

Sarah C.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere, but terrible, terrible service!!Server barely came by to check on us, was extremely rude whenever she came by, and even told us its her "last day" here. If i'm going to spend $80 on mediocre food and a few drinks, I'd at least hope my server was attentive.

Araceli P.

Yelp
Margaritas are a must!! Our sever, Christian, was so nice and attentive. I recommend Sunset in Playa! I rate it a 15/10!! Sooo good. Didn't try any food but the drinks are definitely worth it. Outdoor seating is super chill and has some cool seats.

Zoraida G.

Yelp
I celebrated my daughters 21st birthday at Diver and it was AMAZING! The food (taco buffet), drinks and wait staff extraordinary. The owner was so gracious and nice, our hostess that helped with the organization was the best ever. If you are looking for a place to host your event, celebrate a birthday or just go out on date night Diver at the Park is the place to go. Thank you for making this day so memorable for my girls.

Brianna M.

Yelp
We had a reservation at 3:00 on Saturday November 20th. We showed up early at 2:30 after the Purdue/Northwestern game and were told they weren't honoring any reservations. What?! We never got in because it was already packed with a line out the door.

Joe E.

Yelp
Great food! The quesadillas are very filling .The Cantarito is so delicious and is more than enough drinks for a party of six (but obviously order at least two). Kyra was our server and she was very personable and attentive to our hunger needs.

Hunter H.

Yelp
Get the beergarita! My goodness it was delicious. The staff are super friendly, Kyra especially!

Fal S.

Yelp
The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere was absolutely incredible. Great food, great vibes, great service. Definitely recommend coming here! Try the steak tacos and the margaritas, and Kyra was such an amazing, personable server!

liz l.

Yelp
We loved our waitress Kyra. She was so sweet and cute and made us feel super welcomed. Loved the margarita pitcher and the cute decor! Would recommend to anyone!

M C.

Yelp
The drag queens were amazing but that's the only positive thing I have to say about this place. The service was good enough but the menu was misleading at best. I've seen better food on Gordon Ramsey's restaurant rescues pre rescue. They didn't allow accommodations for those with allergies and restrictions such as simply removing the egg or the meat. It was a scrambled mess all around.

Zach L.

Yelp
Very overpriced/overrated. When you make a reservation, there is a $10/person deposit that is not deducted from your check. Instead, it is just equivalent to a $10/person cover to get in the door. This is not made clear during the reservation process on Resy. When questioned about it later, the staff was incredibly rude and entitled, stating we "were lucky". Not to mention when we got there, they stated the reservation app had glitched and they may not have a table for us. On top of the $10/person entry fee, the food was mediocre at best. The chips were definitely store-bought and the remainder of the food was subpar for the price. Not the first poor experience at Diver, but definitely the last.

Cristina T.

Yelp
Great patio! Loved the decor and ambiance. Staff was super friendly and the happy hour (margaritas!) was great.

Devin S.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails, even better service! Come here for your game day tacos and drinks!

Megan S.

Yelp
Food and service were so good! Kyra is the best sever and I highly recommend the elote quesadilla. Great spot for a bigger group.

Marc S.

Yelp
Awesome place, the Carne Asada tacos were delicious and our server Kyra was excellent. She was super attentive and had great recommendations. Definitely will be back!

Ashley D.

Yelp
Great place for a group. The Cantarito drink is amazing and you get a ton in the jar. (3-4 drinks each with 6 people). Quesadillas were great - first time having elote in one. Also Kyra our server was super attentive. 10/10

Lila S.

Yelp
This place fell short for me. They don't have complimentary chips and dip and when you pay for chips and salsa you get about 10 chips. Spicy margs were okay but not very strong. Elotes dip was a small bit of dip in a paper tray with about 10 more chips. We were seated with other random people at a picnic table and service was slow. Probably won't be back but I do love the patio vibe.

Kylee M.

Yelp
I LOVE IT HERE. So fun, vibey, the next up and coming bar in wriggleyville. It's the bar we never knew we needed. Food was great - chicken tacos are superb. Margaritas -AHmazing. Come here you won't regret it. Service amazing too!!

Soliman H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, delicious drinks (the cutecumber was v refreshing) and stellar service! It was a busy night and our server Kyra still took the time to talk to us and walk us through the drink menu.

Lauren F.

Yelp
so cute!! love the vibe - tacos are so fun for game day and the drinks are super strong - will definitely be back
