Divinis

"You’ll find this intimate, homely restaurant tucked away on a side street; it’s run with great passion and has a friendly feel. Rustic, seasonal Italian dishes have original touches and are cooked with flair. The perfect accompaniment comes in the form of a large collection of wines from Italian growers." - Michelin Inspector

We had a wonderful dinner at Divinis on 10 May. From start to finish, the experience was delightful. The restaurant has a warm and friendly vibe that made us feel instantly welcome, and the service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. For starters, we enjoyed the Carpaccio Gambero Rossa, which was fresh and beautifully presented. The main course of grilled octopus and calamari was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. We ended the meal with a classic tiramisu and a refreshing sorbet mixed with prosecco—an excellent finish to a great meal. The wine list is impressive, with a wide variety of high-quality selections. We chose the Timorasso and Verdicchio, both of which paired wonderfully with our dishes. One of the best restaurants in Prague. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal in a welcoming setting. We’ll definitely be returning!

We came for a dinner with my friend during my visit to Czechia. The service was professional with a good knowledge of all the items but could have been a bit more welcoming and friendlier. Speaking of the taste of the food, everything was absolutely perfect and we really enjoyed it, however, even though it's an upscale restaurant, we found it a bit too overpriced for Prague as there are other restaurants of similar quality that are a bit cheaper. In general a fine experience though.

Google
food was amazing, super delicious! Service was nice, friendly. Atmosphere a bit “narrow” - the space is rather small. What could improve is the kitchen - we were group of 10+, came at 7, got starters before 8, main at 9… and then desserts. You would expect it to come faster, especially for this level of restaurant and prices.

Absolutely amazing experience, lovely food, presentation and service. A high quality restaurant well worth the price. Thoroughly enjoyed

It is rare I would go back to restaurant during a vacation. This was one of them. I wouldn't have gone to an Italian restaurant in Prague if it wasn't recommended as I prefer to try local cuisine but I have no regrets. This restaurant was outstanding. It earns it Michelin star 100% . The ambiance was warm and comfortable and Christmas- forward without being tacky. The service was paced perfectly and super elegant. They thought of all the little details (place to put your coat, your bag, etc) . The wine pairing was OUTSTANDING we had the tasting menu and the wines. The WINES. So exceptional. We compared prices to a tasting menu we had earlier this week in a neighboring country and it was over double the price as Divinis. The food was impeccable, the wines divine, and the presentation (they really know how to present a high-calibre wine for maximum enjoyment ). You must try. An amazing restaurant stand alone. An unbelievable dining experience for the price point. We opted for the elevated wine pairing. It did not disappoint!

My partner and I were looking for a cozy restaurant with real, fresh Italian cuisine in Prague. Divinis was exactly what we were searching for - very good choice. The meal was refined, delicate and delicious.

I had an amazing time with my mum, celebrating Mother’s Day early in Prague. The food was good. The service was exceptional. The ingredients were fresh. When we try fine dining, we expect something outside the box in terms of creativity and texture. The dishes had somewhat predictable flavours and textures but they were delicious. What really stood out on the night was the server who served us and my mum and I were both satisfied and paid the service fee happily. Perfect place for perfect occasions

Google
We had the set menu with the wine pairing. Our waiter, Matteo, knew everything about the food and wine menus, and matched the wine to each of our tastes. He adjusted the food menu after asking for our individual preferences, and the manager, Petr, was equally as good (as were two other waiters whose names I didn't get). We arrived at 19:00, and stayed until after 12:00. Absolutely fantastic.

Yelp
For reference, we took advantage of the lunch special. The portions were large and the quality was high relative to price and location. Every dish was solidly prepared and some offered surprises in terms of texture or flavor. The shrimp carpaccio dish was an unexpected star. Rather surprisingly, the pasta was the weakest dish, but don't let this deter you. The ambience was light and airy and the service was on point. Get off the touristy drag on the main square for a much better dining experience here!

Yelp
Gorgeous restaurant. Amazing service. Incredible food. The pastas were incredible. The fish was excellent. The dessert, super tasty and refreshing.

Yelp
Superb meal and a very good value. I started with the amuse bouche of gazpacho, which was tart and refreshing just like this dish is meant to be, and had a plate of their delicious homemade grissini. I chose two specials, the salmon tartare appetizer and the sea bass entree. Both were stellar dishes. The service here is excellent - attentive, friendly, and informed. Overall, one of my favorite dining experiences of the past few years.

Yelp
I wanted to try an italian restaurant while I was in prague since italian is one of the popular cuisines over there. This place is listed on the Michelin guide and seemed promising. It is a small establishment with such a cozy vibe. The service was excellent. Our server spoke perfect English and helped us understand each dish really well. The food was great! The pistachio desert was probably my favorite. However, all the dishes reminded me of French food more than Italian... If you are looking for an intimate dining experience I highly recommend Divini! Just know that the food is not the typical italian food we are used to in the US haha

Yelp
Please make a reservation, great advance great selection of the wine foods so delicious great service. Easy to find location. If you love to eat and wine dissipate you have to come 喜歡美食跟美酒一定要來 好好吃喔 我今天來過生日喔

Yelp
This is by far the best restaurant we visited in Prague, although we did not attempt to go to any fine-dining places. Out of the relatively small menu, we ordered Stuffed Calamari with Shrimp, Agnolotti Stuffed with Crab, and Spaghetti al Pesto with Shrimps, plus some sauteed vegetables. Every dish was sumptuous. We visited NYC and dined at a highly rated Italian restaurant in Brooklyn shortly before our trip to Europe. The NYC restaurant cost more than twice as much, but I liked the food at Divinis a little better. The only complaint I have is that the Agnolotti Stuffed with Crab seemed to have a tiny bit of crab shell in it. I wish we had a restaurant like Divinis where we live.

Yelp
Dinner here was really lovely, its really tasty Italian food that is very meat and seafood heavy. I was actually kind of surprised that none of the pastas were vegetarian friendly, so maybe not the best spot for vegetarians but the food doesn't disappoint. Really loved the tagliolini, the beef ribs didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping, but they had great texture and fell off the fork.

Yelp
A top choice for italian in prague, great food with a pretty good price. A little more expensive but well worth it. Service is good and the whole place has a nice touch to it.
google avatar

Yelp
The octopus was grilled nicely, you can taste the charcoal grilled flavor. The taglierini was a little bit disappointing. The pasta was more doughy than springy for Al dente. The gnocchini with mushrooms and truffles was my favorite dish. The sauce was rich with truffle flavor. The gnocchi was less Al dente than I hope for. Tiramisu was done delightfully, not too sweet and for my taste not a lot of rum which was perfectly balance. The chocolate cake was good but nothing stands out. Based on the price and Michelin recommended, The experience was slightly underwhelmed.

Yelp
Great Italian food. Fresh pastas and fish. Beautiful appetizers. Terrific wines. Yummy dessert. Cookbook available.

Yelp
Experience did not meet our expectations. Food was excellent - 4.5 stars Ambiance was nice but we were put at a small table in the back. Every person going to the toilet squeezed by our table - 3.7 stars Service was less than what we expected. Server was not very attentive. Server initially charged us for food that was not served to us - 2.9 stars Was the most expensive restaurant we went to in Praha and would not go out of my way to return to the restaurant.

Yelp
The service is excellent. The chef's complimentary beef tartare is tasty. And they have coravin. Yesss!! I recommend the Sassicaia 2014. Portions are a little small but the food is well prepared and presented. It's also a nice little place with character and interesting decor.

H M.

Yelp
This restaurant is a real tourist trap. The food is good but nothing worth $110 dollars for a steak and mashed potatoes, with a glass of wine from an open bottle. They charged me for almost everything on the table (bread, olives, ...) which I had never experienced in any other restaurant. Just look at my bill and don't fall for the scam and have the waiter give you the price beforehand. I thought the specials have better prices, while is was the contrary. They don't post the special prices on their menu to Jack up the price afterwards.

Yelp
A true gem. The restaurant looks beautiful; the service was great; the food was amazing; and the Italian-focused wine list was excellent. The calamarie and fresh pasta with truffle were delicious appetizers. My deer entree was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Desserts also were top notch. Our best meal in Prague.

Yelp
This was an absolutely amazing meal!!! Great service and 5 star food. DO NOT pass up the chance to experience this Michelin star restaurant in Prague!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were recently visiting Prague, and stumbled upon Divini's. We decided to go for dinner, and it was the best meal that we ate in Prague. The service was exceptional, and the food was just as amazing.

Yelp
Not sure how's the most authentic gnocchi taste like, the gnocchi here is soft and I personally prefer it to be a bit more chewy. The sauce is great, it's flavorous and the veal inside is really tender. However, it's a bit too rich for me to finish it. I also ordered grilled veggies and tiramisu for dessert. The grilled veggies is the lovely surprise for this dinner. They are soft and juicy with perfect seasoning. They brought the refreshing sensation for this dinner. The tiramisu is great.

Yelp
My friends and I arrived in Prague tonight, and we found this restaurant on the walk to our hostel. The first thing we were drawn to was the uniquely decorated interior, full of interesting decorations and sculptures. Luckily, the food more than lived up to our expectations! A bowl of bread slices and breadsticks were brought out to the table along with very nice quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which I was more than happy to accept. I ordered the calamari and the rabbit ragout, and my friends and I ordered a bottle of the house white (fab). Service was quick and the staff were friendly. For our first meal in Prague, I was incredibly happy and satisfied.

Yelp
The best pasta i've ever eat! Salad with buffalo mozarella is very good as well :) Nice atmosphere and perfect service!

Yelp
One of the best meals we've had in Europe. Everything was tasty and different -fabulous wine selection and great service. Eggplant came topped with burrata ice cream, clams were fresh and delicious. Next we tried the wild boar and risotto. Make sure to finish with the chocolate cake with ginger ice cream. Make sure to call ahead for reservations. Skip traditional Czech food this place is a must!

Yelp
This is one of the top Italian restaurants in Prague and I can highly recommend it as I have never been disappointed by any of their meals or service and they always manage to nicely surprise me. The atmosphere is very friendly yet stylish and elegant, they have great wines and in general this place always makes the evening special. You can never go wrong with it. Definitely go with the recommendations as the waiters know what they are talking about :)

Yelp
We stayed in an Airbnb in the building next door and didn't eat here until our last night in town. It was one of the better restaurants we tried in Prague. We arrived without a reservation and they sat us immediately. When our server arrived he asked if we would like to start off with a glass of champagne, which we did, and it was delicious. We were presented with an amuse bouche of a potato chip with fried capers and creme fraiche. It was a nice surprise. I started with the Burrata salad and my partner had the gnocchi. Both were delicious. We followed with the Sea Bass and veal cheeks. I would eat here again.

Yelp
We there as it is well known Prague for his chef cook. The menu card is not overloaded and we enjoyed the stay in a nice séparée. We had the veal in marsala and the rabbit mantled in ham. The rabbit was a bit raw inside for my taste. We ordered a bottle of Pino Grigio which was very fruity and tasty. Overall it was very nice and we will go back for a second try

Yelp
Excellent food, great ingredients, nice preparation, attentive service, reasonably priced. The ambience is awesome. The Italian inspired degustation menu was 2350 CZK without paired wines. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We ordered the veal risotto and the seabass + some appetizers it was really good! Very good restaurant.

Yelp
Foodies: when in Prague, you must eat here! Charming restaurant - cozy but not too small. Great atmosphere and staff that's super knowledgable, but not food snobs. You feel totally relaxed here. And excellent wine selection. What we had: an amuse bouche of marshmallow, cucumber, pistachio, passion fruit sauce. Appetizer of swordfish carpaccio with pressed melon, passion fruit and burrata cheese sorbet - so refreshing and delicate - to die for. Entrees: chef specialty of veal cheeks braised in Marsala wine with roasted spinach with raisins and pine nuts. Wild boar tenderloin with caponata (like a ratatouille). Desserts: chocolate and mint fondant with ginger ice cream (think warm lava cake with mint AND chocolate on the inside). Cherry parfait with almond crumble and sea salt. One of the best meals I've ever had, anywhere, and this same meal (including wine we had) would have easily cost 2-3 times as much in the states. Divinis on your dining list if ever in Prague.

Yelp
I've eaten at many Italian restaurants like most people. I've eaten Italian in Rome, Milan and all over the Amalfi coast but I've never eaten Italian as well as in Prague. Tonight at Divinis we enjoyed an amuse bouche of Sea Bass with passion fruit drizzle and frisée. That was followed by Veal cheeks braised with Marsala wine and our other main course was Boar tenderloin with caponata and mustard sauce. We also had the creamiest mashed potatoes I've ever had. For dessert the chocolate mint fondant with ginger ice cream was to die for. The cherry parfait was also great. Service was excellent. A great deal of care went into decanting the wine and our server was so attentive. He wasn't overbearing but anticipated our needs perfectly. The first thing that I noticed was that our server knew exactly how each dish was constructed and how they are cooked. He new his wines and his recommendations were spot on. I'm going to try another restaurant tomorrow night La Degustation which has received two Michelin stars, however I can't imagine how it could possibly be better than Divinis.

Yelp
We had lunch at Field, then dined at Divinis on the same day. From the start to end, Michelin Bib Gourmand - Divinis, offered even more wonderful experience than Michelin one starred - Field. This is not a comparison between two different styles of great restaurants to visit in Old Town Prague. If, however, you only have limited time in Prague and look forward to a great restaurant, try Divinis first, and you won't be disappointed. We ordered arugula salad with mascarpone cheese, and ham from Spain - Joselito as starters. The natural bitterness of arugula is well compensated by the creamy texture of mascarpone and the sweetness from beetroot bits. Joselito is just as its claimed fame - the world's best ham! Main courses are served with the chef's signature veal cheeks and special - grilled sea bass (deboned with skin). Both are delicious and the portion is very generous. All in all, Divinis offered the essential of how a great cuisine should be: the ingredient itself and how it's cooked; less some fancy features from Michelin starred ones: how dishes are visually "presented".

Yelp
Super nice Italian cuisine. A perfect dining experience set a little off the beaten path to Old Town. Make reservations you won't be sorry.

Yelp
Great service and ambience, and the best dining experience in my 5 days in Prague. In fact, my gnochetti with wild boar is one of the best pasta dishes I've had in my life. The semifreddo of peanut butter was the perfect ending. Good wines at very reasonable prices. Simply great! I'll come back here on my next visit to Prague!
google avatar

Anne-marie S.

Yelp
The food here is AMAZING! I really enjoyed everything I ordered. The staff were very attentive. I docked a star mainly because one of the servers defaulted to recommending one of the more expensive wines with an assumption that cost = quality, which is not always the case with wine. I do test staff to see if they recommend the most expensive option (inflate the bill) or suggest something in the mid range (more often than not, a genuine recommendation).

Ezra N.

Yelp
The food was fine, but the final bill was wrong and upon complaint, it magically dropped the service charge and erroneous appetizer. It left a bad taste in my mouth after a decent late night meal. The starter salad was boring, tartare was good and the risotto was solid.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
Visited here on a Friday night. based on recommendation of colleagues. Restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and each started with the shrimp and cauliflower purée appetizer. It was very tasty and the presentation was great. My friend ordered the quail and I the beef cheeks. The dishes were both neatly plated and both were cooked just right. The beef was so tender -- I was very happy. We were so full that neither of us ordered dessert. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The decor is simple and yet inviting. We spent about two hours total and greatly enjoyed our visit. I would go back when next in Prague.
google avatar

Joanna S.

Yelp
I had a great meal at Divinis while in Prague. We had amazing service, that started with a good wine recommendation. We split the shrimp risotto to start - it was delicious. Then, for main courses I ordered the veal while my husband ordered the special (Chilean sea bass covered in pancetta). The main courses were some of the best food we ate in all of Europe on our 2 week travels.

Ana C.

Yelp
Excellent experience. The waitress and reception were so friendly. The bread was so delicious. It's the best bread I ever had when I stayed in Prague. The starter "crab cake salad with cucumber sobet" Amazing!!! Never had this kind of starter. Really special! Tascona soup is good, but taste like coconut shrimp. Veal Chief special is delicious too ans so soft. The pasta was good, but similar like in USA restaurant. We were so full and could not eat desert anymore. Overall, I love this restaurant and foods are amazing. If you visit Prague, make sure you make reservation. The restaurant filled fast after 7:30. If I stay longer, I would definitely visit again!!!! 5 stars for service and foods! U will not regret visit here. The price is reasonable. You wont get this great food in USA with 40 dollars/ person.
