First time eating here with my boyfriend and we loved it. Super clean, fast service and the food was amazing! I think this is such a cute place for date nights or lunches. A lot of people order take out but the inside is worth eating in. We had the order of pad kee mao, basil fried rice and pad Thai.

Google
A friend ordered this for me on DoorDash. I’m having chemo and really couldn’t stomach anything today. Or yesterday. So he ordered and I have to thank you. Your food made me feel better. It was perfect. It means so much to me right now. The Thai iced coffee was delicious too. Thanks. Thanks very much. Sometimes the smallest thing can make a huge difference in someone’s life.

Djan's Dining Thai provides a lovely atmosphere for a date or quality time meal given the unique historical house setting, high quality food & great service. The food was flavorful, fresh, well-presented. The mango curry and red curry were exactly what we had hoped for! I look forward to returning to try more of their dishes.

Google
Came here in search of Yellow curry fried rice and I’m so glad I did. I ordered spicy level 4/5 and it was just perfect amount of spicy. Really good portion size for the price and I enjoyed every bite of it ☺️ I’m definitely coming back again and will order the same dish again. This place is easy to miss but right behind a bus-stop, making it easy for a take-out! They have a really cute but small dining area too- if you’re looking for a quick dinner date! Highly recommend this place if you love Thai fried rice.

Google
This was by far the best Thai I've had in Seattle. The flavors were rich and distinct in each dish. The curry was particularly amazing; rich and creamy but not heavy in taste and texture. Food was made fresh and you could tell from before the first bite that the chef knew their craft well. Highly recommend. Location is nice. Converted house lends to a quant indoor dinner lounge. Nice patio area for sunny days: or dress warm, it's Washington.

Google
Really cute coverted residence I've driven by a bunch. Glad we stopped in. I wouldn't recommend this place for any groups larger than 4, but for a date night or a small party, very cozy. It kind of feels like you're in their living room. Stand out for me was the roti. Super good. Warning though: spicy means spicy! I ordered a 2 out of 5 and it was definitely a Thai 2 out of 5 and not a White 2 out of 5 (LOL). I usually like a tiny bit of heat but sadly my stupid tongue has never been able to handle real spice. My partner was extremely happy with the spice but I was somewhat melting. But despite dying to the spice, things were tasty! I'd like to come back and try things at a 1.

Google
Let me preface this review by stating the food is delicious and always what I expect. Conversely the resource planning and customer service is directly the opposite. Ordered and was given a 30 minute window but took over 2 hours to prepare. Called the store and asked for support and if they could potentially cancel and the employee denoted they could not do anything and were too overwhelmed. Store needs to provide better estimates with online ordering systems or turn off ordering when too overwhelmed.

Google
This was so incredibly delicious! Absolutely in love with the pork panang curry

Yelp
Delicious traditional Thai food. The Pad Thai is soft but not sloppy, and it is richly accompanied with just the right amount of spice.

Yelp
This really isn't a special occasion place. I regret coming here for my birthday. The owner takes no pride in the outdoor area. It is full of weeds and dead plants. There is a lot of deferred maintenance on the building. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with a spectacular lack of enthusiasm by the man at the counter. The restaurant was completely empty. The waitress, a very pretty, petite Asian woman was efficient but rude, brisk and impatient. She frowned a lot, never smiled. All the take out activity was distracting. It wasn't a fun birthday for me. I wish we had gone somewhere else, The food is good although on the salty side. Fresh, clean, well prepared. I see why people appear to come here strictly for take out.

Yelp
Got an order here. Not bad. $15.45 for lunch. Mostly noodles and not much chicken. I liked how the noodles wasn't clumpy. More ketchup flavor than tamarind

Yelp
I ordered take out via Uber eats. I was in the mood for Pad Thai so I got that and wanted to try the Krapao. Added in the lychee cheesecake just because. I'm so happy I ordered from this place. The Pad Thai was perfect. Sometimes when I get Pad Thai take out it's dry but that wasn't the case here. The portion was large too. Flavorful, spicy and sticky! Loved it. The Krapao was good! I like that it came with over medium egg. I usually like Krapao with pork and this was with chicken but it was yummy. The only disappointment was the lychee cheesecake. It was just a plain NY cheesecake slice and was probably previously frozen. I still ate it because it was good! But it just wasn't lychee flavored or have any lychee fruit alongside it. So one star was taken off because of that. But I would def order here again when I'm in Seattle.

Ann S.

Yelp
Old man at counter is incredibly rude. Ruined the dining experience, never coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Only got take out here and ordered the pad see ew with extra noodles. The food was tasty, but the extra noodles seemed to be added without any extra sauce so overall the flavor was good, but we would have liked more. In general Djan's came recommended and I fully intend on coming back to try it again.

Yelp
I just want to say I love this restaurant I order from here regularly and as a vegan you can't go wrong w their fried rice! Just make sure you specify the dish is vegan and they will happily accommodate! Also don't forget to ask for tofu if you want that as your protein if you're ever doing a group order. I've been coming here for years and still very happy w their product.

Yelp
Came last hour before closing and we were quickly seated. Staff was very nice. The place is very cozy and homey. Food was good! Recommend trying the garlic fried rice with beef I'm a sugar cane girlie so the sugarcane+lychee drink was so good Even if you don't come in person, try ordering takeout!

Yelp
This place has a cute and welcoming vibe and a pretty dining room. There is also a huge patio out back! The menu includes all of the things you are probably expecting plus a few more unusual noodle dishes. I would also say they have more veggie options than is typical at a thai place, with most of the appetizer menu being vegetarian in addition to the usual noodle and curry dishes. They also have quite an extensive salad list. On this visit, I branched out from my typical favorites to try the flat noodle with special yellow curry and was glad I resisted the urge to go for my tried & true. Overall, the dishes were flavorful, the noodles were fresh, and the dishes were not drenched in oil. Service was a little slow so this wouldn't be my pick if I were in a huge rush since that seems to be a fairly common comment.

Yelp
I got the fusion noodle with shrimp. It's good but wayy too spicy and I asked for 2/5 spicy.
google avatar

Cambria M.

Yelp
The food came out fast and hot...lovely staff and delicious Thai food. Will be back again.

Alyson M.

Yelp
Very cute and sunny dining room, dishes came out super fast. Djan's has got the old favorites, like pad see ew, curries, and fried rice; but they also feature some less widely known Thai dishes and new creations too, which I'd suggest! Spice levels were great and the flavors were on point.
google avatar

Sritha V.

Yelp
Got takeout from here, both the garlic fried rice with chicken and the basil fried rice were excellent. Chose medium spicy and the sauces were perfect. I'll be going back often to try other dishes. One of the best Thai places on 45th for a great price and good quantity!
google avatar

Robyn B.

Yelp
One of my favorite Thai spots in the city. We usually order takeout from here a couple times a month. Our go-to's: green curry, yellow curry, pad see ew, Tom kha soup (the best!!), fresh rolls. The mango sticky rice is also delicious.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Service was exceptional. Venue is adorable. Food, at 3 spice level, lacks a kick. Also, while the food was good anyway -- extra creamy in place of spice -- the portion was rather small. That's the main reason for only three stars -- I wanted more food in my sauce! Bottom line: Potential but please add more tofu to my sauce. Thank you.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is really good and the service is great! Went here as a blind pick with some friends and found it an overall good experience
google avatar

Andrei D.

Yelp
We got takeout from this place via Doordash, and let me tell you, it was not good at all! The pad thai was very bland and really among the worst I've had. The veggie panang curry only had a few green and red peppers in it and that was it. These dishes definitely didn't look like the pictures. How is it rated close to 4 stars? Anyway, I don't know why anyone would order takeout from here. It's expensive and doesn't taste good!
google avatar

Mia Z.

Yelp
I actually discovered this place by needing a late night delivery! We ordered original Thai fried rice, sweet spicy chicken with rice, pad kee Mao and pad prik king with chicken. Everything was just so good. Ingredients are so fresh and we can't be happier. Since then we have been going back. The physical restaurant is in a super cute spot that's good for a date night or a girlfriend's lunch or dinner too.
google avatar

Norm M.

Yelp
Really nice staff. Friendly and quick. I ordered fresh rolls, a go to at any new Thai restaurant. They were very fresh and delicious. The spring rolls passed the test and were some of the better that I've had. The main course was a noodle stirfry. Lots of ginger garlic, and the perfect amount of heat. The building itself is simple but clean. I'll be going again the next time I'm in Seattle.
google avatar

Jade T.

Yelp
Khee Mao was great, I just found the beef to be a little more tough than I prefer. Still loved the dish. Be very cautious with your spice levels here! Had mango sticky rice for "dessert" and really enjoyed it!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
I got the fried calamari and the khao soi with chicken and spicy level 3/5. The fried calamari was the best I'd had in recent memory due to the perfect batter crunchiness and the supple and tasty cooked squid. My friends also ordered the fried tofu and it was quite good too. The khao soi was flavorful and the portion size was slightly superior to the other Thai place I'd had recently, Secret Savory. They're both great establishments, no complaints. Overall the service was fast, food was stellar, and the parking was easy on a weekday 7pm since it wasn't crowded. I would definitely come back another time.

Yelp
I'm really not happy & very disappointed that I chose this restaurant last night to host my birthday party in. I've had good experiences here from a party before: the space was roomy and beautiful, food was great, and we had excellent service. Based on that experience, I made a few calls with specific requests, asked for the same room, paid all deposits, and was really looking forward to a nice experience. However, unbeknownst to me, they have a newer owner now; and what a difference that apparently makes. I was pissed as hell to find that instead of getting the nice, larger space I had before (despite providing a final head count so they knew in advance), we were crammed into the smaller space, which was garish and offered no comfort, much less a nice atmosphere. The bigger room with wood work was used as storage. Tables were piled on top of each other and was in no way easily made usable. In addition, I had asked more than once for there to be an extra table "for the cake and presents." I wanted to be able to display the beautiful cake I had made for the occasion, as well as the many presents I put A LOT of effort in preparing for each of my friends. Also, as it was my birthday, they had gifts for me. It was an important part of my planning (which again, was SPECIFIED), and as such, a pretty major omission. I was seriously unhappy to see the state of my best made plans; but my guests were arriving little by little, and it just felt like it was too late now. Unfortunately, it continued to just get worse. We had only one server, who basically let us know that NO ARRANGEMENTS had been made. He wasn't even aware a party was happening. So they basically slap dashed a long table together in the ugliest space possible & called it good. He did his best and made a shit ton in tips; (he got $70 from me alone); but it was terrible service simply b/c it was beyond what one server could handle. The kitchen was also unprepared & our food came out piece mail, horribly timed, cold, and not very good in my opinion. He forgot items & had to be reminded of beverages. Previously, we had at least 2-3 servers, and could order in courses. This time was a total disaster, and it seemed we were eating in stages instead of together. They were also already sold out of the app I did want. And another selection was also not possible. I wanted to pay the bottle fee (for the champagne I brought) to keep it off the bill for my guests to absorb. But I was refused and they ended up paying for it despite my several attempts at that goal. Frustration after frustration-there was literally nothing enjoyable in anything they provided. Ultimately, I made arrangements to support a space on my birthday & ended up making the best of a bad situation. I eventually had to give up any expectation of being what I wanted & had specified; and instead focused on enjoying the company of my friends. That part was easy, but i'm no longer interested in visiting this place ever again.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in you are reminded of a homey feeling. With many areas to sit including outside and upstairs this place has a great ambiance. C01 & C07 are in this picture. You have the option for combos with a great way to share meals and have the ability to try different options. Make sure to pair with a Singha beer.

Yelp
Very cozy place to enjoy Thai food with families and friends. Or enjoy a meal alone. May not be good for large group but definitely perfect for group of 2 or 4. Reasonable price and portion. Love the papaya salad and roti! Roti with curry is the best!!! Crispy and creamy! Duck is a little bit spicy and chicken wing is salty. Mango sticky rice is seasonal! Very sweet!
google avatar

Yelp
UE for the win! I tried to order from a dumpling place and they cancelled on me through the app - luckily Djan's was the next suggestion on the list and I was able to order an even more exciting meal. I was thrilled to see Char kway tiao on the noodle menu here so of course had to have that along with the crab fried rice. Both dishes were phenomenal with good flavors and presentation. Everything arrived within the hour of ordering on UE and it was hot, fresh, and oh so delicious! They did not disappoint! This will be my go-to Thai place from now on.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Ordered delivery through Uber Eats and this is by far one of my new favorites for Thai Food. Ordered the tofu fresh rolls, fusion noodles with tofu and pad Thai with chicken, all items were delicious and special request was accommodated.
google avatar

Shirin B.

Yelp
Definitely some of the best Thai I've had near the UW area, or in Seattle in general. D'jans noodle was nice and spicy but it wasn't overpoweringly sweet like some pad Thai dishes can be. It was its own unique thing. The basil fried rice I got was also delicious and had big pieces of fried tofu. The only thing was the flavor of fish sauce, which I'll definitely ask for without next time!
google avatar

Susie C.

Yelp
It's difficult for me to try new Thai spots, but I'm so glad that I finally did. The food is excellent but on top of that, the owner is the kindest person ever and the overall experience was so enjoyable. First of all, let's discuss how adorable this spot is. It's one of those converted homes that totally match the charming and idyllic feel of Wallingford. I ended up taking advantage of the last beautiful warm nights by dining outside in the back patio, which felt like dining in someone's backyard. The only upside to the impending cold weather is that I will then "have" to dine inside the super cute "living room". Now onto the food... Thai food in general is top-notch in the PNW, so it is really hard to compete. However, djan really holds its own! We got the veggie roll and veggie curry puffs to start. They were pretty standard but quite tasty! Then I split the chicken larb salad and the eggplant with chicken with my dining pal. The larb was tasty and fresh, as you would expect. I appreciated that the eggplant stir fry had ample vegetables and tasted delicious! Overall, none of the flavors or combos were new or surprising, but everything was very good if you want solid Thai food. I definitely need to try more! Also once again, I'd like to highlight that the staff is so kind! It really elevated the already excellent experience and sets this spot apart. They were so attentive and effective!
google avatar

Trish C.

Yelp
Food was lovely. Beef was tough, but nice flavor. Service was weird...kind of rude. I even asked if they were closed because the hostess/waitress seemed like she didn't want us there. Will try again at dinner time to see if service is better.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday evening around 7:30 and it was still kind of busy. So that's a good sign that the food is going to be really good. Sat at a small table for two against the wall with a view of the outside window. Ordered chicken and vegetable potstickers which were good but I could order those at any Chinese restaurant and they would taste the same but at least they were crispy. For my entree I ordered "tempura" chicken in spicy sauce and I asked for them to put the sauce on the side and not on the chicken because I don't want the chicken to get soggy and it arrived with the sauce all over the chicken. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she got confused and said she'd never heard anyone ask for that and that they don't do that. (Then why didnt she tell me when I ordered it that way) I just want my crispy food to be crispy And I like to dip my food into the sauce This restaurant is down the street from my work and it's a convenient location but I wouldn't go there again.
google avatar

Natalie B.

Yelp
First time today I ordered for lunch for work. We all liked the flavors and portion size was good. We definitely will order again. I ordered Peanut sauce and Djan's signature noodle dish Phad Thai/ Pad Khee blend was excellent.
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
My wife's siblings were hanging with us, so we made it an Uber Eats night. Got 2 chicken yellow curries, a chicken panang curry, and chicken tom yum soup; all with the lowest heat possible. We also ordered the fried veggie rolls and tofu tempura. The curries were all delicious. No complaints and the panang was so rich and smooth. The tom yum was kinda on the watery side lacking some flavor, but still decent. The tofu tempura was amazeballs. I could eat that on it's own but the sauce took it to a whole nother level. Lastly, the fried veggie rolls were just okay. They had a unique taste, almost like they had meat but were still just blah--- I still can't tell if I liked them or not but leaning towards the not. Make sure you remember to order a side of rice if you want it with your curry. I thought it came with it, so we had to scramble last minute to buy some cooked rice. But that was my bad. I actually like that they don't automatically include it, so the curry comes out a tad cheaper.
google avatar

Mario S.

Yelp
Bad service and sassy waiter, took a while for our food to come and the rice never came. We were allergic to the soup, told the staff but they just wanted to argue with us that they were right! Plus it was packed!!!! Horribly!! Crowded
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Good service and high quality foods. I would recommand this place is good for Thai cuisine.

Lillian M.

Yelp
The best affordable Thai food in Seattle. Super cozy venue. Portions are generous and flavors are great -- def more flavorful than most other Thai restaurants in the area. I'm surprised to see that other reviews are saying service is slow! I've been here multiple times, and also have ordered it through UberEats. It's never been slow for me.
google avatar

Marie C.

Yelp
This is our go to restaurant when coming to Seattle to visit friends. The food is good! The spice level is true to spice and the amount is perfect. I usually get the green curry with vegetables and the vegetables are good quality and good types with no filler junky veggies. The pad Thai is yummy as well! They give a lot of tofu, if you don't want an abundant of it, please let them know. I would say everything is pretty good and tasty from here. My friends get different curries and noodles like the drunken noodles and they are all good as well.

Kristan W.

Yelp
Delicious! Will definitely order again. So far have only done takeout with delivery, so can't say what eating in is like.
google avatar

Lea P.

Yelp
Good food but slow service. Loved the pad Thai and the veggie stir fry. Perhaps order takeout?

Olia K.

Yelp
I have really enjoyed this spot in the past. Love the neighborhood cozy vibe. But in my last visit, food was just okay - nothing spectacular, a noodle dish was a bit over cooked. Chicken wings were not good, would not recommend. Staff was overwhelmed, I think there were 3 staff working the entire place - not their fault, but they need support to make the place run better.

Lillian B.

Yelp
Have eaten twice on site, once indoors and once out in the garden in the summertime. Nice atmosphere, fast and capable service, great food. We have done mostly take-out, and it is worth driving over to get these meals. We go back when we can.
google avatar

Luka P.

Yelp
Tuck in a cozy little house in Wallingford area you find this amazing flavorful gem ! Fare warning parking is difficult but well worth it and seating is limited so plan ahead. Got three dishes there an amazing Tom Kha Soup with chicken, Basil Krapao Chicken & Fried Egg, and the spicy seafood stir fry. All so wonderful, the pictures I'm sharing does not do the flavor justice. Take a dive in and try this place out because I want to hear others take on it. great for a party of two or four!
google avatar

Yelp
I loved the food and our server, Sarah, was amazing. We're from out of state but will be sure to return when we come back in town!

Yelp
My sister used to love this place but as another reviewer mentioned, they seemed to have changed owners or at least their chef. We ordered their Monday lunch combo ($11.95) that comes with red curry, one crab rangoon, rice and your choice of entree. I chose their pad thai with tofu. My sister had raved about their pad thai being so delicious so I thought that would be the obvious choice. My sister and mother's dishes came out about 7 minutes before my dish came out and there was no sort of apology or anything for the delay. The table next to us seemed to have a huge issue with how long their food was taking and I felt really bad for the one guest because after waiting close to 30 min, he was told that they were all out of his protein choice. Why wait that long to tell him?! On to the food... The red curry was abysmal. I would not call it a red curry. At all. It was basically just soup with a red color and an INSANELY sweet soup at that. My pad thai was inedible. Literally the SWEETEST pad thai I've ever eaten in a restaurant, I couldn't believe it. It was cloyingly sweet. It's such a shame because without the extra 5 tablespoons of sugar, I could tell that the pad thai actually had some good flavor!! I left most of my pad thai and all of the red curry, but the server didn't even care to ask whether we enjoyed our meal or not. At $11.95 per person I guess you can't really complain. Would not come back.

Yelp
Djans is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Seattle! I come here almost once a month and always order the yellow curry chicken. It's the best dish on the menu so make sure to order this. Their portion sizes are very generous so I always end up with leftovers.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably my favorite Thai place in the area. Great Happy Hour menu Great lunch specials A little more on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for. The food is very good. Lunch: Combo meals are great and served until 3pm! Nearly enough food for two meals! It did make me a little sad that there are only certain combos available each day. Dinner: A little more pricey than most Thai restaurants in the area but overall have not had a single item I didn't care for. Value = good. GOOD: Pad Thai - flavorful without being overly greasy Tom Kha Soup - had plenty of veggies and spice Basil Chicken - lots of chicken, great flavor Crab Rangoon - packed full! So-So Curry rolls - odd appetizer and curry flavor was a bit too much Fusion Noodle - felt it was lacking a bit in flavor The service here is good. The inside is clean. There's a nice outdoor patio as well. 1/2 off wine on Wednesdays!

Helena H.

Yelp
Great food. Fast. We love the curries. Eggplant rocks. Pad See Ewe niodles are also yummy.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a Sunday night. We couldn't find the parking lot since it's such a small driveway and the signed was not even up. We parked across the street (which has a tow a way sign so don't do that!) when you first walk in, it's rather dark. There isn't allot of seating but apparently there is a bigger room upstairs that can hold more people. My friend and I ordered the garlic chicken and the spicy ocean. My friend asked if she can get the sauce on the side cause she wanted her chicken to be crispy, the server said yes but when it came out it had sauce all over it. She asked about it and then the server said they have never done that (then why did she say yes?) I ordered a level 2 spice on the my dish and holly molly!! I couldn't even eat ITV it was more of a 5! I had to drench it in white rice just to calm it down. I wished I would of known so I can order less spice. The squid was very chewy. I had probably 2 shrimp in my dish Their chicken wings were really good though! For my two dish, the chicken wings and spicy ocean was almost $30.

Audrey K.

Yelp
my favorite dish here is the pineapple fried rice with beef and the papaya salad. i don't know what goes in the fried rice, but it is so addicting and flavorful. the papaya salad is so tasty and the flavors are perfectly balanced. i also love that they put so many cashews. i've gotten their curries and they are just okay but i think it's odd that you have to order rice separately especially considering the price. i typically get takeout, but restaurant itself is actually really homey and quiet, which i like.

Yelp
The Pad Thai is the best I've had in Seattle so far. Been in Seattle 3 years. Its a good portion, but would love an even bigger one
