I visited the restaurant last night and I was pleased with my overall experience. Among the other Haitian restaurants that I have visited, I will say that this one got my heart. The place was clean, the music choice was great on point the whole time. The food was absolutely delicious, the portion was decent for the price, the pikliz was to die for. The only thing is I wish they gave a more decent size for the black rice. Overall, good vibe and great food. I will visit again soon. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Haitian restaurant.💯

Stopped by for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. My only small issue was that we were giving a mocktails menu only. A proper drink menu with alcohol options would have made it perfect. Otherwise, lovely experience all around.

Let's see, where do I start? I am a proud Haitian American and spent many of my summers in Haiti. So I've been able to have delicious Haitian food. I am so happy that I traveled to Brooklyn and ate at the restaurant under its new name. It was a well decorated restaurant with vibrant art and beautiful colors. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the grilled Branzino, Djon Djon Box, macaroni gratine, Griot sliders, and legume w/shrimp, and I was impressed. The portions were perfect and shareable. Everything was so well seasoned and amazing. We actually devoured everything. Vanessa was our waitress and she was quick, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I'm already planning my trip to return. If you're in Brooklyn, just go and try it out! **currently no liquor license but they own a bar across the street you can get cocktails in the meantime. I'm sure they'll have it by the time I come back

I had an impromptu dinner with my family and we were lucky to find this restaurant open on a Monday night .. the atmosphere was great and the food was delicious… I had there version of a Rasta pasta and it was sooo good season nicely with a little kick.. the fried goat was tender and also a lil kick. Mac gratin was nice and cheesy!! Just great food.. I’m from the Caribbean so I appreciate some seasoned food and don’t mind the spice. the staff was also very friendly and polite.. great addition to the neighborhood

I wasn't completely sure what to expect here, but we had a delicious meal that was ACTUALLY SPICY! So many "upscale" places cater to milder palletes and reduce the heat found in ethnic cuisines, but that's not the case here and I'm so happy for it. We dined in on a Tuesday evening and there was no wait. We ordered the crab cakes, the pate kode with herring, kabrit en sauce, and the grilled octopus. All was cooked to perfection, and the spicy dishes were balance so that the spice didn't overpower the other flavors. One thing to note here is that they only serve mocktails and soda, no liquor or beer offerings.

Took my sister here for her birthday dinner. We had a party of 8. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and hospitable. The food was top notch. We had an amazing time and will be back. Also, the portions were great. Was able to take food home. Great job

Everything we had was delicious. We started with the Accra and wings. We asked for the sauce on the side. Those wings were delicious without the sauce. They don't have their liquor license yet but the mocktails are delicious. We also ordered their voodoo pasta, fritay lobey - one goat, one pork. Our server, Anaya was great.

Very flavorful food, great ambiance! Had an incredible seafood dish on a Friday night. Very cool vibes.

CANT WAIT TO RETURN!!! I traveled from the Bronx to Brooklyn just to try this spot. So happy that I did. The server was really nice can't recall her name. My table was a party of 3. We had Coconut shrimp for appetizers. THE BOMB! My dish was Legume with black rice, my friend hasdsalmon with black rice and my other friend had pallella with black rice. We all devoured our food it was flavorful and authentic! By the way we were all stuffed! So you will definitely leave full!

The food is out of this world. First, we stated off with the Haitian Lemonade, "omg sooo good." It has a fresh vanilla taste w a hint of lemons. The appetizers we had were the Accra and the groit sliders, all I can say is delicious!!!The entrées we had were the macaroni gratin, Djon djon box with salmon, lambi en sauce, black rice, and legumes. Food tastes just like your mother is in the kitchen throwing down. The service is impeccable. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive. The ambiance is just perfect. It's just right, not a lot of stuff crowding the table, so you can really enjoy your food. First time trying this restaurant, and all we know is that we will definitely be back with the family!!

Service was great. Atmosphere very nice. Mocktails delicious. Food was mid, unfortunately. The items were definitely "Haitian fusion" or "Haitian inspired." But most of the dishes aren't traditional. Griot: a little drier but was ok Macaroni: family was disappointed that it was too dry -- to me it tasted good but I know what they mean, because there was not enough binder used for the cheese mixture (like cream or something to give it that Mac and cheese density). The noodles were looser than they should have been. Diri djon djon: I wish the rice was cooked a little longer. I didn't taste much the djon djon flavor to me. My family said the djon djon was there but that it wasn't flavorful because it lacked salt, which makes sense. Voodoo pasta and wings: these are the only food items we all LOVED, and they're not even Haitian dishes. Lastly, all the food was very expensive for what it was. Anyways, staff and drinks were great. But the food was ehh. I wouldn't object to going back but I also wouldn't go out of my way to suggest it.

Now this is a restaurant that EVERYONE needs to check out no matter your culture, race or creed! In NYC people of the Caribbean diaspora are always debating who makes the best food and honestly the remarks are biased. Jamaican restaurants are probably the most accessible and sought after but don't sleep on Haitian cuisine! The service was impeccable with our amazing waitress Vanessa. The decor was authentic, colorful & inviting. There was plenty seating available at 2pm in the afternoon on a weds. I hear the weekend is bustling but come during the week if you want the chill vibe. Fair warning no liquor license at this time so byob. However we did have their delicious Haitian lemonade which was delicious and unique due to the splash of almond syrup. The food SHUT US THE F UP! The macaroni, black rice, grilled branzino and griot sliders took us out. Everything was packed with flavor... so happy our friend from Spain had this unforgettable dining experience because there sure isn't any Haitian food in Spain . We came here as our first stop on our yearly V day bar hop. We wanted to ensure we ate something lol. Service was wonderful, everyone was sweet and the restaurant was spacious, good music - perfect date night . I liked everything we ordered except for that griot sandwich (it tastes too fresh/ the smell made me alittle sick; I'm weird tho. Surprisingly the food didn't take FOREVER to come out (very different for haitian restaurants) Would I come back ? Yes . Would I make it a night ?? Debatable.

Great food. Great portions. Great service. Will definitely be back. Went with a party of 8 and everyone loved their food. Diverse crowd and welcoming environment.

Went here for lunch after waiting 20 mins I was later told they did not have any burgers, this has happened on several occasions they changed the name Of their restaurant but it's still not good service will not be going back again

Hmmmm...... This is the first time I have visited this restaurant since the name changed, and I am a bit confused. When I visited before, the food was on point, and drinks were flowing. This past Sunday, I had ordered lambi with fried plantain, but the lambi wasn't as flavorful as I know it could be, and the plantains were a bit raw. I don't drink, so having the cocktails was delicious. The wait staff were great and professional. We sat at a table immediately. I don't know, maybe it will pick up with another chef.

The ambiance and service was absolutely amazing! The food was sooo goooddd! 10/10 experience will definitely be coming back!

This place was very quaint and attractive, but the food is very overpriced and tolerable. I bought the Djon Djon box, comprised of black rice, salad, and your choice of meat. The meal is $22, but an additional $6 was added for tassot (fried goat). I had to ask for sauce on the side, and was told by the manager that he was giving it to me for free but it was not a free item in case I returned and was charged. I wasn't pleased because the manager was a little arrogant and seemed annoyed that I questioned why the meat was an additional price. He ended up knocking the price down but not before letting me know that it was manager "privilege", but the price is the price. I ended up ordering a drink called, Fresco. It was shaved ice topped with juice, I got the passion fruit. That was $9, and it was nothing special. I was on my lunch break so I ended up eating my food at work, the rice and sauce was very good. The tassot was not so good, the meat did not seemed to be cleaned. It had an after taste and was not well seasoned. I saw this restaurant on social media and I wanted to support black owned businesses in my community, unfortunately this was not my only encounter at this restaurant (it was called something else prior, but same people) for poor service and mediocre food. I don't think I'll return back unless management really considers what is reasonable pricing vs gauging, and cleaning their meat (pause, lol). SB: I just saw on their Instagram page that at the end of June they are having a special $45 for 3 courses.

My boyfriend and I heard of the wonderful work that the chef does for his community so we decided to go and support and become more acquainted with Haitian cuisine. Out experience was wonderful! First of all, we were delighted to see they have outdoor seating. We were greeted warmly by waitstaff who suggested the soursop drink which was delicious. We had plantains, fish, black rice, mac and cheese and soup. I would love to go back again since the whole experience was lovely!

As an American Haitian born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, with both parents coming from that amazing island called Haiti. I have to say this food was made with love. Hands down to Chef Wesley, the LOBEY FRITAY with goat was amazing

we had probably the best service here I've ever experienced at a Haitian restaurant. It's hard to find sit down Haitian restaurants that are cloth napkin and candlelit - it was elegant and the chef even gave us a taste of his Father's Day special next week for free - on the house. I had the diri djon djon rice and the fried goat. My family shared multiple herring and plantain dishes and we all had Haitian lemonade. Excellent night

I visited Djon Djon at 9pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. This spot had tasty food with good menu variety. Service was a little slow, but overall a nice dining experience. I'd visit here again

The restaurant Djondjon in Brooklyn I have to say I was amazed the ambiance was great the food was out of this world!!! I had the grilled cabrit, the cabrit nan sos and the Haitian paella!!! We loved it all including the lemonade mix with passion fruit Jesus!!! It was beautiful keep up the great work you are doing!!! I found a great Haitian spot for our date night!!! Next I want to try the legume I know I won't be disappointed!!!

The wait staff was super helpful with recommendations. The drinks were unique and delicious. The duck dish was tender and seasoned well. The fried plantains were dark just like my grandma used to make them. Definitely recommend this spot.

I visited Djon Djon based on a recommendation from an Instagram influencer, but I was left disappointed and won't be easily swayed again. The food was average--nothing stood out as exceptional--yet the prices seemed high for what was offered. Another point of contention was the advertised $25 3-course brunch option on their website, which was unavailable when I arrived at 2:30 pm, despite most places serving brunch until 3 pm. I'm always eager to support Haitian establishments, but the value for money at Djon Djon just wasn't there. The restaurant should consider improving or adjusting their menu to better reflect the quality and pricing. On a positive note, the server was friendly and did her best to manage the entire place on her own until, presumably, the owner stepped in to assist. Cheers to better experiences in the future.

Djon Djon is a hidden gem that I've just discovered in my neighborhood. I've never had Haitian food before and everything was amazing, especially the mac & cheese! They also have a great selection of mocktails. Above all else our server Vanessa was such a delight! She made us feel so welcome and like we've known each other for so long. I will definitely be returning.

My experience at Djon Djon was lovely. While there are many casual Haitian spots in PLG/Flatbush and surrounding neighborhoods there aren't many that I know of with sit down service and a more pleasant ambiance. For starters the service was excellent. We did dine on a weeknight and there weren't many other patrons. The hostess/server, Shaniqua was extremely sweet and professional. Our entrees Milo Chicken Sandwich and Black Mushroom Ravioli, 8/10 and 10/10 respectfully. Portions were excellent, food was very well seasoned and extremely flavorful. I am definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Had lunch there with family yesterday and totally unimpressed by the food. Their website boast lunch special from 11am-3pm, when I arrived, the waitress said that there's no lunch special. The Griot sliders were mediocre, very little meat, tasted more bread. The fried plantain were overcooked. Marigold salad was flat the beets more like store bought beets, not roasted as described.Somehow they either ran out of Parmesan cheese or didn't put included it in my salad. The accra was burnt and had no taste. Asked for Legume with chicken and looks like they just put store bought grilled chicken pieces in it. Very disappointed. I only enjoyed the soursop drink from my meal. Totally disappointed!

Food was really good! The Poul Fri was seasoned and fried to perfection!! And how do you go to a Haitian restaurant and not order black rice!!! The rice repped Haiti well!! Only down side is they are still awaiting the liquor license so we had to settled for the mock-tails, which tasted really good, fresh and unique for a lack of better wording. I would recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Haitian flavors. I will be back and you should try it!!

Djon Djon does not disappoint!! As a Haitian-American, the food here reminds me of the home cooking I grew up enjoying. If you're in the neighborhood or further out, this is a spot YOU WANT TO TRY!! Service was quick, our waitress, Anaya, was super kind and gave us tons of suggestions to filter through. Last but not least, the ambiance is lovely. My favorite part of the space are the beautiful paintings on the wall. 10/10, check them out yourself!

The food was very delicious and flavorful! I had the macaroni gratin which was bomb, the lobay fritay which was delicious but it did not come with the akra (you have to order it separately).

Great Service, Even better food I really enjoyed the lambi. Great place to listen to Haitian music and eat good food.
