10 Seattle Dishes That Became Stars in 2019 - Eater Seattle

"This small stand has been drawing long lines at its Uwajimaya outpost in the Chinatown International-District ever since the summer. The reason? Delicate, chewy mochi-doughnut hybrids that come with seasonal flavors, including ube glaze, matcha Oreo, and Viet coffee red velvet. The Tiffany’s-like blue boxes lend to the camera readiness." - Gabe Guarente

I tried Dochi for the first time today and absolutely loved them! I can't wait to go back! Dochi is a lovely combination of mochinut and traditional American donuts. The flavor is absolutely amazing. It is a moist flavor on the inside like a mochinut and a little bit of a crunchy flavor on the outside like a traditional American donut. They have a rotating flavor menu. Today, I tried the cookie butter and churro flavors and both were absolutely delicious! The store is inside of Uwajimaya and it is very nice and modern. It has a very hip and modern vibe. They have seating that is shared with other restaurants that are in the Uwajimaya food court. The customer service was excellent and the staff were very nice and helpful! I definitely recommend Dochi to satisfy your sweet tooth and for awesome flavors!

Google
I've been a customer of Dochi for years. My family and I love the warm service and great products they offer. I've had mochi donuts from other places before but nothing beats the texture and flavors of Dochi.

Google
Incredible customer service, they gave us a free donut. The taste was amazing. Highly recommend. I would have taken a picture if I didn’t eat the donuts so quickly

Google
A mochi donut place in the middle of the Uwajimaya food court. I went around 3:30 pm so sadly the donut that I got was stale. :( Still semi-chewy and the flavor was good. The taro pebbles flavor is a fun, sugary, fruity choice. Just disappointingly stale, like they'd been sitting out all day. I've had mochi donuts the next day from other places and they didn't even taste as stale. Quick service, fairly loud and busy food court. Next to a bunch of other restaurants, the manga store, and the grocery store.

Google
If you're looking for a visually appealing and fun experience, this donut shop is worth a visit. Their creative and colorful donuts will catch your eye, but unfortunately, the taste doesn't quite match up to the hype. While the flavors are decent, they're not particularly memorable or exciting.

Google
Wanna try a different type of doughnut ? It’s dochi 🤩. Nice crispy and sweet ful taste which you going to love it. And Vietnamese ca phe(coffee). Also restrooms here only for patrons. But do ask them for code or also you can check code on your receipt which is kind of cool.

Google
Very delicious mochi doughnuts!! A little more dense than Mister Donut in Japan, but that's not a bad thing. I has the ube coconut! We ended up coming back to get some more for our friends in Vancouver! Hopefully I can come back again soon! Thanks!!

Google
Wow!!! I’ve seen these donuts online and never thought I would get to try them, was so delighted to find them at Uwajimaya. I love these because their texture is so chewy and moist. They are also not insanely over the top sweet. They were out of the taro flavor when I got there so I’ll have to come back, but all of the other flavors taste amazing!! My favorite is the strawberry pocky one.

Yelp
Mochi donuts were all the craze a few years back but since then, I haven't really discovered great mochi donuts until now. We were shopping at Uwajimaya and decided to get some ofdonuts from here, so we picked up a box of half dozen donuts for $15, so about $2.50 per donut. They have unique flavors like Taro Pebbles, Coffee Red Velvet, Ube Glazed, and Matcha Oreo. All of them had such distinct flavor as well as great chewy texture you can expect from a mochi donut. I didn't find any of the flavors to be overly sweet either. Our box of donuts were so good, we couldn't help but finish them all in one sitting!

Yelp
Dochi was wonderful! I had a Ube cream iced coffee drink and it was so satisfying getting this drink in Seattle and coming from a place where we lacked Asian fusion food! Dochi has other snacks like donuts, etc too. However, in this occasion I just got the drink because it was something I was looking to refresh myself. I actually quite liked the drink and it wasn't way too sweet for me. There wasn't any spot to really sit to enjoy a cafe vibe though as this was just one of the shop in Uwajimaya's food court. Definitely would stop by again (maybe next time I will switch and try something new out like Pandan cream iced coffee!) to get some drinks when I'm in the area next!

Yelp
A cute fun twist named Dochi sells Vietnamese-style drinks and mochi donuts that all are very unique in flavor and style. This store is inside next to a supermarket and a food court area. Found it just by walking inside and wandering around. From the display, I wanted to check it out and order a mochi donut and also a drink. I had the pandan cream drink which has a nice flavor of pandan inside of it. I also ordered a dobut which at the time I believe was seasonal. It was pumpkin because I do love pumpkin on everything! Overall everything was delicious! Can't wait to come back here for sure.

Yelp
I was very disappointed by my strawberry lychee refresher. You couldn't adjust ice or sweetness, and the whole thing was about 25% ice. It also made getting the lychee jelly at the bottom extremely difficult. The drink itself tasted like strawberry syrup and water rather than actual strawberry juice. Ambiance was nice!

Yelp
The donuts are so cute and delicious. It's located in Lam Seafood and the service is quick. Lots of parking!

Yelp
Was shopping in Uwajimaya, and felt the need for a little sweet snack. Got the Tamago Sando, a Cinnamon Toast Crunch mochi donut, and a Yuzu Peach Refresher. The egg salad sandwich was good, but could've used some salt and pepper. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut was also good, as expected. I like the texture of these mochi donuts. I gave the Yuzu Peach Refresher to my bf, and he just gulped it down; he loved it. Staff was friendly; would come again if I'm back at this Uwajimaya.

Yelp
Mochi turned into doughnut's is a a WINNER! When in Seattle visit the Uwajimaya Asian Market, don't be surprised if you feel not just at home but that you're in a different country right in the heart is Seattle, Washington! Now this review isn't about the market so let's get back to Dochi. I you like Mochi you'll love Dochi! There are multiple choices of flavors and you will not go wrong with whatever you choose. My suggestion is to spend $17 and buy multiple or you can buy a half dozen for a little less money. Also the customer service is great! Very nice and patient people. I wouldn't worry about ambiance because this is a market with multiple stores including a grocery store and a bookstore. One tip: GO EARLY. They close at 5pm, the doughnuts willl be gone before then.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
The donuts were very fresh and tasty! They took our order and quickly gave us our order. The packaging wasn't great for take away though (just a little plastic bag. This is in the Uwajimaya food hall area so there's very limited shared seating - we just stood there and ate our donuts while waiting on food from another spot too, so we didn't mind. Would definitely come back for the donuts but not sure that they'd travel well without a box.

Yelp
Dochi is a Mochi Doughnut Stand located in a very nice Asian Grocery Store's food court section. The menu is limited to basically only Mochi doughnuts, but they have an impressive variety of flavors. The servers are all very kind and you are served immediately from the display that they have so this all takes just a minute. After you receive your doughnut, you can either enjoy the seating in the food court area and maybe pick up some food from the other stands or you can take it to go like a lot of people seemed to be doing. The food court is nice, nothing particularly special, but a good place to chill and hang out. I decided to go with the Matcha Oreo one and it was fantastic, sweet, and with a very chewy interior. I highly recommend this place and trying a Mochi doughnut if you've never had one.
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
The mochi donuts are delicious. They are slightly crunchy on the outside and soft but with the right amount of chewiness on the inside. There have multiple flavors too.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
I really love mochi donuts for the airy, chewiness it comes with but Dochi was not hitting the spot at all. Compared to Mochinut the dough seems so much more ticker and dense. Bought a box to bring to a friend's house during our visit to Seattle & it was her favorite but it just wasn't for me.
google avatar

Nette B.

Yelp
I love Mochi donuts, and unfortunately, for me, Dochi's doughnuts do not meet the ones I've had at other locations. Service was fast and not a long line. I ordered the Ube Donut. I wanted to try the Taro, but it had drizzle that I didn't want. The Ube was ok. It didn't have too much of the Mochi consistency. Overall, it's good if you haven't had it before.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped back by again and didn't order. Wanted to update that the prices for a single donut is $3.25 + Seattle tax (10.35% iirc) = approx $3.59 + tip. No line on a Sunday early afternoon while Uwajimaya was moderately busy. If you haven't tried them, I would recommend trying them at least once as they are quite good and fun to share.

Yelp
Solid spot for mochi donuts and it's located in the Chinatown-International District! It's inside the Uwajimaya Food Hall, so make sure to enter where you see the sign for this; it's not a stand-alone store. The line was virtually non-existent on a Saturday afternoon, while the line at Mochinut was out the door. I know Mochinut is a bigger chain, but Dochi deserves more hype! Also, shoutout the lady working at the register. She was super helpful when I was asking her for directions to another location. We got the Strawberry Pocky and Taro Pebbles! Wow! These were great. Definitely recommend the Taro Pebbles. I loved how the crunch of the Fruity Pebbles paired with the taro flavor. If we were hungrier, we definitely would have gotten a half dozen. I think this is the way to go because you can sample all the flavors.

Yelp
Crazy lines but really great staff, reasonable prices given the complexity of the ingredients and unique and delicious chewy donuts. Mochi donuts are super in right now and Dochi has been around for quite some time. I'm glad I was inspired by the Chinatown ID food walk to check them out! My friends enjoyed their flavors and I will definitely be back to check out some other flavors. The crowd inside Uwajimaya can be a bit intense but everyone was friendly and helpful in pointing people to the right direction which made it less overwhelming. I was really honestly impressed with everyone I met out and about during the food walk! The Dochi staff made great recommendations and served everything up with a smile despite the crowds.

Yelp
Love dochi donuts. So delicious. My favorite flavor is ube glaze. The China town location is part of the Uwajimiya food court. Drink offerings are new to me. I enjoyed the Ube milk and my friend enjoyed the coffees. Highly recommended! Ordering and pick up was smooth and without issues. Seating is limited with lot's of people going out and about which is normal for a food court.
google avatar

Yelp
Dochi is a mochi donut place conveniently located in the Uwajimaya shopping center food court. The service is quick, as they just grab whichever donut you decide on from the shelves, and there's usually no line. There's scattered seating at nearby tables, but the mall overall can get pretty crowded, so sometimes seating can be hard to come by. They have a wide variety of flavors, and my friend and I tried the hazelnut crunch and ube glazed. The donuts were soft and chewy, and I appreciated the texture contrast in the hazelnut crunch one a lot. However, overall, the flavors seemed a bit bland and lacking in a way. Not quite sure what was missing, but it just seemed like it needed something more to make it stand out. Overall, it was a very okay donut, and I'd definitely prefer some of the other mochi donut shops in the area to get my fix.

Yelp
Dochi sells lovely mochi donuts that are delicious and fairly priced. They often release creative spin-offs of their classic flavors for holidays and special occasions (e.g. "Ube bae" and "Matcha match" for Valentines Day). The donuts have a light and chewy "mochi" consistency and are not overly sweet. They are perfect for breaking apart to share. The half dozen and full dozen boxes make great treats to share at events. Service is always efficient; it is not as busy here compared to the Renton location. It is located in the often bustling Uwajimaya food court where you can sit down and enjoy the donuts.

Yelp
Best donuts ever! Honestly this is the first time we've had mochi donuts and can I just say you have to try them. We ordered a half dozen variety to try as many as possible including the Churro, Strawberry, Twix, and Ube. The donut itself is very light and soft but it's also a little more chewy which makes for the perfect texture. The cinnamon churro is hands down the best one to try and our favorite. Others were also good and you can't go wrong with any of them. Service: is pretty quick but there is often a line (not too bad though) Ambiance: it's located in the uwijimaya food court so there is seating if you want to hang out and enjoy your donuts. Recommendation: get the churro donut and thank me later

Yelp
Haven't been here since it used to be temporarily in the back corner. Nice to know the quality hasn't changed at all. Picked up three mochi donuts today Strawberry Pocky - thought this one would be the messiest but turns out it was ok. The pocky sticks don't add much flavor to the donuts but does give it a crunchy texture. The strawberry flavor is pretty light in these and the texture is like the other ones. Very good if you like a little sweet crunchy and springy donut. churro - best one out of the three if you love cinnamon sugar. As soon as you open the bag you can smell the flavor of this one. Texture and flavor is nice and not over powering. A little messy but delicious. ube - prob won't worst this one again. The ube flavor wasn't there at all and it just reminded me of a plain mochi donut.

Yelp
My first visit to Dochi has been a long time coming! When it opened inside the Uwajimaya market in 2019, I remember seeing lines of people wrapped around the building just for these donuts. Now, after almost three years, I finally tried Dochi for myself. They feature six flavors at a time, but rotate them on a regular basis. Around noon on a Saturday, we paid and received our box of treats in just a couple minutes. We ordered a half-dozen for $15 and got one of each flavor. It was mandatory that we tasted them all! + Coffee Red Velvet: My favorite by far! The frosting had a robust coffee flavor and specks of real beans. Red Velvet crumbles were sprinkled on top, but they didn't add much except for a little extra color. I would gladly order a whole box of just these. + Ube Glazed: The ube flavor was very mild. Although the dough is purple, it tastes like the traditional dough of the others. This is like their version of a classic glazed donut. + Ube Coconut: Same as the above, except topped with coconut. + Strawberry Pebbles: This one was pretty sweet, but I enjoyed it more than I expected! The pink frosting tasted like a strawberry Pocky stick and the Fruity Pebbles gave each bite a nice crunch. + Choco Almonds: Tasted exactly like it sounds, coated with a milk chocolate frosting and crushed almonds. + Matcha Oreo: While an unpopular opinion, this was my least favorite. The matcha was pretty subtle and I barely tasted the Oreo sprinkles, so it was a little bland. I enjoyed the texture of the donuts which were so soft, springy and chewy. Except for the Ube, all the donuts are made of the same dough and the flavor is fully dependent on the frosting and toppings. Other than a half-dozen, you can purchase a single donut for $2.75 or full dozen for $28. I would consider prices within reason considering that these are a unique type of donut, but any price increases would definitely be pushing it. Dochi is absolutely worth a try!

Yelp
Amazing! There is a denseness and softness to these donuts which makes no sense at all but tastes absolutely amazing. There's also something about the shape of it that makes it so satisfying to eat. Like eating 8 perfect little donut holes baked together. We got the fruity pebbles taro one and Oreo matcha. While these donuts are deliciously sweet they don't taste overly sugary or too frosted. I highly recommend both but my favorite was the Oreo matcha. Two of my favorite sweets harmoniously combined and neither taste overtakes the other.

Yelp
I absolutely love mochi donuts! Until recently, the hours for this place has been really weird and it was often difficult to get here during lunch hours on a random weekend. I'm glad the Dave increased their hours and the number of days that they are open, significantly! The day we were there, they had six different types of donuts, all of which were lovely. The place is a pretty well oiled machine at this point. You can buy the donuts individually, or in multiples of six. Who said those multiplication tables from third grade wouldn't come in handy! Our little tribe of five demolished half dozen of these, and we grab some for friends that we were meeting later. The inside of the box told me that I deserved the donuts, so I figured that meant we should probably eat everything! Each donut effectively separates into small bite-size pieces, very akin to donut holes. The place is really a factory in so they've got things pretty well down to a science at this point. The Gucci and it out of there quick and with is many delicious shareable bites of heaven as you want! If you stopping at Uwajimaya, this place is well worth checking out!

Yelp
Ube. Glazed. Donut. Taro. Pebbles. Donut. That's it. That's the post. Oh, great customer service as well!

Yelp
Amazing service!!! Great mochi donuts and drinks, very sweet staff and product!! Excited to try the different seasonal options!

Yelp
The mochi donuts were delicious, but didn't taste fresh. Would recommend the churro mochi donut for sure. The ube coffee was great!

Yelp
Mochi donuts! What's not to love?! Dochi was my first taste of mochi donuts, and I've been hooked ever since. Dochi has so many good rotating flavors! I suggest looking on online for their current offerings. Some of my favorites have been Strawberry Fruity Pebbles, Pistachio, and Matcha S'mores. But honestly, I would probably inhale any mochi donut I get from Dochi! This Dochi is located inside Uwajimaya's food court. If you're driving, Uwajimaya has their own parking lot which can get packed. If you're patient there's street parking all around Chinatown. And if you're traveling by train, it's walkable from King Street Station! I've seen reviews mention the long lines. I've visited several times and sometimes there was a long line and other times there wasn't. So maybe plan your visit around high traffic times. Whenever I visit Uwajimaya in Chinatown, stopping by Dochi is a must!
google avatar

Courtney Y.

Yelp
This is the first location I visited! Experiences have always been positive, initially there were long waits and lines, nowadays it's pretty quick. My favorite remains the fruity pebble one. I think Dochi's mochi-doughnuts are superior to all other mochi-doughnuts, they're denser and chewier. Others have been light and airy, but I think if there's going to be mochi in anything, there needs to be some dense chew! Try a few flavors and share what your favorite is : - )

Deanne L.

Yelp
Wow these were one of my favorite foods during my trip! Located inside Uwajimaya. We ordered a half dozen for $15 and I was so impressed with the flavors. After looking at their menus on Yelp, it looks like they change the flavors around. During my visit we tried: -Ube Glaze -Strawberry Pocky -Cosmic Crunch -Matcha Pretzel -Choco Churro We wanted to try Twix Caramel, but it was sold out that day. My favorite was the Strawberry Pocky, which had crushed strawberry Pocky sticks and strawberry icing, as well as the Matcha Pretzel, which had crushed pretzels with matcha icing. The others were really good as well. The texture of the donut was nice and soft, way better than your average donut shop. Honestly though, I've had mochi donuts across seas that were even more soft, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth and Dochi did not match that expectation... BUT these were the best I've tried in the United States. Service was friendly. They had one of the longer lines at the food court, which means good food and it's popular. The mochi donuts are presented so nicely and perfect for your food pics ;) It's served in a sturdy box I definitely recommend!
google avatar

Jade N.

Yelp
Sooo I was craving donuts and there aren't many options for donuts mid day in downtown seattle so we tried mochi donuts and they were sooo good! Lot of unique flavor and options So I would try a few here. It's inside this little mall with other food options so was pretty cool to explore. Would come back here!

Yelp
Our old co-worker brought beautiful dochis to the office when he stopped by the office for a quick visit. I have seen them at Uwajimaya and never thought it was anything special or different than the other typical doughnuts. I knew it was mochi doughnuts but I did not realize how wonderful these little dochis are! They are mochi mochi texture, and not too sweet, even the flavoring is not so sweet. If anything, the topping of these dochis give the flavor to these almost plain flavored dochi. I had tried green tea with oreo, oreo, ube and other flavors. It is also a wonderful little gift for party as you can break these dochis into little ball pieces. I was stupid to have overlooked these dochis at uwajimaya. I was too focused on papa cream puffs.
google avatar

Regina P.

Yelp
This is definitely one of the best dochi places I've been to. I highly recommend the ube dochi or the fruity pebble.
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
The beauty of this place is that you can get 1 singular Mochi donut for $2.75, and that can be dangerous as I go to Uwajimaya fairly often either for groceries or just walking around. I have resisted my temptation for a looooong while (6+ months), until my friend surprised me with a dozen of these donuts as a gift. A dozen, not half dozen - I feel very thankful! Although later in the day they only had 2 flavors left, earlier I stopped by and the only flavor I wanted to check out was the Ube - and they still have it! Texture-wise, these mochi donuts are a bit more firm and chewy, and I enjoyed this a lot more than Mochinut in SLU. After all, this is the OG, the original in Seattle. Although Third Culture Bakery in the Bay still takes the crown in how they make the mochi donuts, Dochi would be my go-to place for mochi donuts in Seattle: friendly for people that want to get a quick bite or go solo (no obligation of half dozen minimum), quality is amazing, and value is decent. Until next time, I will need to continue resisting my temptation to get a mochi donut whenever I shop at Uwajimaya, but now that I tried it, I'm addicted, so I will cave in pretty soon :)
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
This was one of the first mochi donuts I have ever tried a few years ago and after that day I have loved these. This is the first time I've been back since the pandemic and surprisingly there wasn't a line on a Sunday afternoon. I just walked up to the window and ordered one of each (half dozen) for $15 and went on my way. These aren't the cheapest things and they're not super anything mind blowing but they're something different and they're definitely tasty. It always adds a sense of occasion when you bring these home :)
google avatar

Emelina W.

Yelp
This mochi donut store is great! It always has a line to purchase. It changes its flavor everyday. It's not too sweet and not too oily, everything is just right on point. They now offering Halloween donut which is cute! Must try in Chinatown Uwajimaya!
google avatar

Van P.

Yelp
Little donut shop located in Uwajimaya and it definitely can get packed depending on when you come. They're a little pricy but that's expected because they're speciality donuts! The donuts themselves are pretty tasty, light, and chewy. We got the ube glazed and matcha one, tried to get the choco churro one but they ran out of them. Overall I like that the donuts have great texture and aren't super sweet, but I didn't feel like they had strong flavor. Service is great and the cashier was super friendly!
google avatar

Latifa S.

Yelp
Delish!!! I think this was the first Mochi doughnuts in Seattle. Huge lines. I waited! They even had limits on how much you can buy etc. Now you can buy as many as you want. I first tried this last year. Flavors rotate but some are original and they stay. White chocolate & Gingerbread cookies mochi, Dochi's matcha mochi, Strawberry fruity pebble x matcha Oreo, Matcha, strawberry Mochi and Oreo are a few that I tried. Matcha being my favorite, followed by fruity pebbles and strawberry being my least favorite. Glaze was too sweet for me. Also wish there was more Mochi in the doughnuts for that chewiness. But it's still made me return. Waiting to find that one perfect flavor though. They also sells out fast even now in pandemic. Check/ order before you go. Parking is easy/ free with purchase. And doughnuts are fun and makes a great gift.

Yelp
Was around Wajimaya and saw some interesting looking doughnuts in a small store front within the store. The baker mentioned that they were mochi doughnuts and that piqued our interest so we decided to give this place a try! We got the dozen and got two of every flavor at the time - the flavors were Matcha Oreo, Cookies n' cream, ube glazed, Fruity Pebbles, Ube bae, and choco caramel. The doughnut itself had an interesting texture, very chewy and doughy - a pretty pleasing feeling. Definitely one of the spongiest baked goods I've ever had, and easy to divide among a group of people! The toppings were delicious, gave a nice sweet spike to accent the doughnut's texture. I personally haven't had mochi doughnuts before, but in comparison to regular doughnuts, the price is a little expensive ($28) for a dozen. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, I don't have a reference point - but doughnuts did taste pretty good so I would recommend give these a try if you haven't before!

Yelp
I was at this store for its grand opening but sadly did not line up in time to try it then Here I am back in Seattle years later, and I finally got to try it in the Uwajimaya food court. The line was much shorter this time even on a Saturday afternoon. The person working the counter was very nice and fast, which I can always appreciate. The single donuts were $3.15 each I believe, and I tried the Ube Glazed and Matcha Pistachio flavors. Let me just say that the donuts were much prettier in person than in my photo. Ube Glazed was much milder in flavor as the ube is worked into the dough and there is a slight glaze over it. The Matcha Pistachio meanwhile had a much more solid coating of glaze/flavor on top, as well as a small sprinkle of pistachios. For both, I would say that the flavor is there but not too noticeable, and the dough has definitely got that chewiness that mochi donuts have. I appreciate that they are not as sweet as American donuts, but overall I think they would taste better with stronger flavors, because in the end they both just tasted like fried mochi dough. From what I remember when I had mochi donuts from Mochinut, I also think the dough was a bit tougher and dryer here, while I prefer a softer (albeit oilier) texture. Tl;dr flavor is mild but still a yummy treat!

Yelp
The best Donut ever good variety not too sweet perfect Sooo good Friendly place to be.

Yelp
Ok flipping love these. These are my new favorite donuts. I ate all 6 in one day with minimal sharing. They're so chewy and delightful. The best part about them is that they're not too sweet. I had the strawberry with pearls, the churro, and the ube (which was the best OF COURSE!). I can't wait to go back and get these! It's inside Uwajimaya by the way! FYI if you're a lady walking to this stand inside of the supermarket food hall alone, don't. Wait to go with someone! I was harassed by an unhoused person in broad daylight, on an empty street.

Yelp
I went to Dochi on a Saturday afternoon and there was a pretty long line which was expected. I was expecting to wait in line for at least 30 minutes. However, they were really quick. I only had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. I have never tried these types of donuts before. But these donuts were very delicious. They are not overly sweet like other traditional donut shops. They were well fried with a soft chewy texture. I got one of each flavor that they had that day which was Ube glazed, Matcha Oreo, Strawberry Pocky, Caramel Twix, Hazelnut, and Taro pebble. If I went back again, I would get the Matacha Oreos and the ube glazed. The service was really quick which I like because I hate waiting and they were very kind. The cashier said, "We are grateful for you" which was very kind of her to say. For more reviews and photos, follow my ig: @nvc.eats

Yelp
I wish the Bellevue Uwajimaya had a Dochi! Driving a little extra to the Seattle location is definitely worth it though:) these are so fun to eat, easy to portion, and are very aesthetically pleasing! My favorite is the strawberry pocky and I wish I'd ordered a whole box of them! Their staff is quick, friendly, and sanitary. There's usually a decent sized line but they're very efficient and pleasant to order from!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I ordered 5 mochinut flavors, ranging from Ube Glazed to the Taro Springetti. We enjoyed all flavors, especially the strong, taro flavor of the Taro Springetti. Fun story: my girlfriend and I thought the Ube Glazed mochinut was a regular mochinut glazed with ube-flavored suace. After taking a bite, the bright purple color inside revealed its true identity: an ube-flavored mochinut that has been glazed! Overall, we enjoyed the wide selection of different flavors.

Yelp
Pretty good but not incredible! Definitely satisfies the sweet craving but I personally prefer a more chewy texture when Im getting mochi donuts. The flavor of the donuts was wonderful though, not too sweet but still super yummy. Hope we just got a bad batch for texture because these would be great otherwise!

Yelp
I meant to return after my boyfriend claimed I didn't share with him the first time, which may or may not be true! I've had mochi donuts from Alimama Tea in New York, and I've been craving them. We were waiting for our reservation for a restaurant nearby, so we decided to make the trip! My indecisiveness got the best of me, and I got all six flavors. We later found out that our friends also got half a dozen. So we roamed around the supermarket and the rest of Chinatown with many, many mochi donuts. My ranking for them would be strawberry pocky, cookies & cream w cookie butter, matcha pistachio, taro pebbles, ube glazed, and lastly, cinnamon toast crunch. They all tasted delicious, so the ranking is all based on my personal preference of the flavors. However, the one downside is that when you have so many bites in one sitting like me, the flavors begin to taste similar, if not the same. But that is all on me for wanting to try every flavor and stuffing myself! And yes, I shared this time!

Yelp
Recently my friend DoorDashed me half a dozen of these donuts (assorted flavors). I am not a huge fan of mochi donuts (not that I'm against them either), so I was never motivated to try this spot on my own. I've got to say that I have changed my tune! This may be one of my favorite donut spots in the Seattle area. Each flavor in the assortment had a distinct flavor. The highlights for me were salted caramel coffee, cookies and dream, and the matcha oreo. I enjoyed how the donuts were made up of 8 little bites, so I tasted one bite of each donut to pick my favorite. Then... I um proceeded to eat them all haha. The donuts are relatively light for donuts, so I didn't feel gross despite eating an insane amount of donuts haha (though I can't say I recommend it for the average person). The way these donuts are structured are ideal for sharing though since it's really easy to break off a ball and try many flavors.

Yelp
I'm so glad I finally got to try a mochi donut from Dochi during my Seattle trip! The texture is really similar to mochi since they use rice flour in their donuts! Personally, I prefer this texture and flavor since their donuts aren't too sweet. This half dozen box has flavors like matcha oreo, coffee red velvet, and ube glaze flavors that were all amazing! They change their favors every so often so I will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
The hype is real! A mochi donut lives up to its name. The texture has that chew of a mochi and fluff from a donut. I appreciate their half a dozen means you can get all the favors they have (6). They shared they usually change their flavors every couple months and sometimes do something themed for an upcoming holiday, like St. Patrick's day, they might do something then. They have unique flavors and some really shine through! I wish the ube ones have more of a punch like the color of the inside. My favorite has to the cookies and cream. I don't know if it's because I ordered them around 1pm, but I feel like it would be even better if it's warm. But I guess I can warm them up in my oven or microwave for a bit. When I went, on a Sunday, there was no line. It's located inside Uwajimaya's food court.
