The ‘Summer House’ Cast's Guide To The Hamptons

"We've been going out to the Hamptons for years now. Dockers is just so much fun for all ages. It's really fun to go at our age with a group of friends for drinks and lunch, and I think it's really fun for families as well. They have water sports; they have the little food truck with drinks, too. There's just a lot of outdoor area. And we've always had a really good time there...for the most part."—Amanda Batula "Dockers is definitely one of our favorites. It's one of the only restaurants in the Hamptons that's actually on the water. For us water babies, real estate-wise, it's tough to beat their location."—KC "The fries and the B.L.A.T. chopped salad there: you gotta have them. They have also a great lobster mac and cheese."—Danielle Olivera" - brennan carley

Dockers Waterside - Review - The Hamptons - New York - The Infatuation

"Dockers Waterside is, in fact, right by the water, and also has lots of outdoor seating to go with the views. They serve all the raw bar and cooked seafood you’d expect, some of it with a twist like “everything bagel-crusted salmon.” photo credit: David A. Lee" - Team Infatuation

I’ve never been treated so well at a restaurant! The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Antonio, Roy, Maisy and the Kitchen Staff were fabulous!! I highly recommend & will be coming back soon!

Google
The restaurant is lovely for sunsets. Great outdoor bar. Friendly hostesses and servers. The lobster 🦞 was massive at $92. I prefer a chicken lobster. My NY strip had no char on it. The chowder was solid! The crab cake was satisfactory and there is no doubt that jumbo lump crab is not used in the single crab cake that’s served. Super expensive for what you get served.

Random Sunday brunch, we ended up at dockers. The food and customer service was truly 10/10! So fresh and delicious literally every dish. Reservation was done 2 hours prior to arrive for a party of 7, we arrived and we’re seated 10min after designated time. Amazing views from every angle, and great ambiance. The only thing I’d say is for everything we got, I felt the bill was crazy high $5xx plus tip. I’d recommend the place; but I’d recommend to read the menu and set yourself up; and be prepared to pay up. The espresso single shot; was terrible so said my wife lol she loves her expresso’s after her meals.

Google
The food and drinks were good but incredibly overpriced. I had a 12 oz vodka lemonade that was about $17 and my chicken sandwich was $20. It is the Hamptons but just way too much for what it was. I guess you are paying for the view, which is amazing. Definitely a great place to go for a sunset.

I have been here multiple times but today’s review is about their Margaritas. I just went to Dockers to have some margaritas with my husband. We went to the outside bar (that today was closed due weather) and asked for 2 margaritas. It is very disappointing to see how such a great restaurant that has high standards serves you margaritas on a plastic cup. And the worst part of it, is that as soon as I saw the bar girl poring the drink into a plastic cup, I asked her if she could serve it into a glass for me. She said no. That is not accommodating the costumer and that is not the way drinks should be served. My husband and I have been working for years in the hospitality industry and have been traveling all over the world, and I can assure you that in any other restaurant of this caliber, having a drink on a plastic cup will not be acceptable.

Google
In terms of value, Dockers misses the mark. The food is good but not worth the price. $62 for a lobster roll that may be slightly better than one from Panera? The $46 shrimp pasta was just boring. All the food was just meh. That said, the service was very good and it's hard to beat that view. Maybe they'll learn how to cook one day?

Google
First time at Dockers Waterside for Easter. Choice location on Dune Road with open views of the inlet. As this is still pre-summer season, there wasn't the standing room only crowds. Ample seating outside, two bar areas, and under party tents allows for a festive gathering to gather or even enjoy some memorable celebrations. The Easter buffet was plentiful, tasty and presented well. I imagine Mother's Day to be just as inviting if not more as the outdoor deck may be open. So do ask about waterside dining if possible. The staff here is pleasant and attentive. The chefs are eager to please and create delicious foods. I'd add Docker's to your list of places to try as Docker's will not disappoint.

Beautiful location yummy food and delightful service 😋. A must visit if you want a taste of the Hamptons

Yelp
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and enjoyed the misty nighttime view at a window seat -- so romantic. Service was nice, the prix fixe choices were SO GOOD (except for the dessert, which were both two tart options: cheesecake and lemon bar). My honey chicken with roasted pumpkin and cheesy grits was the perfect fall harvest meal. Very delicious and expertly cooked (tender inside, crispy outside chicken, and caramelized pumpkin). The steak tidbits in wine and gorgonzola sauce was AMAZING. Also, my hubby thoroughly enjoyed his breaded pork dish! And even though lemon wouldn't be my first choice for dessert, my hubby loved it and I quite liked it (for lemon)!

Yelp
Two stars because I have a heart? Idk but this review is really one star. The Captain Antonio was sweet and apologetic while attending to our table after I spoke to the owner (didn't even realize he was the owner until after). I have to reiterate that I rarely if EVER send any dishes back but this was overall probably the worst dining experience I've had in I'm not sure how long... From sitting to leaving (minus Antonio and the owner graciously speaking with us about all the mishaps), it was a horrendous experience. Took 20 minutes to get tap water to our table once we were sat. Wow. Took 15 minutes to get a cocktail and a glass of Sancerre. Throughout the entire night we didn't have a busser touch our table once. Our waitress was sweet but so terribly overwhelmed. It was obvious they were short staffed but with these price points- a certain level of service is expected. The actual glass of Sancerre was cold to the touch but the wine inside the glass was warm... odd. Sent it back and second glass was fine. The seafood ceviche should be listed as "corn salsa" because it was 75% corn. Did not love the flavors. Very muddy. Matt's Mussels were painfully overcooked. All the mussels had shriveled up into nothingness. The shrimp pea pasta was again FULL of cheap ingredients. They seem to boost all their dishes with the cheapest ingredients. Majority was corn in ceviche. Majority of pasta was peas. There was literally more peas than pasta. Kid you not. The entire bottom of the dish was like hundreds of peas and asparagus?! We hadn't seen our waitress in forever until towards the end after the entrees were out. But by then our experience was shot. I will say all the servers were clearly hustling. Bussers seem to always be empty handed.. we didn't have food or drinks for so long so we couldn't help but to observe the staff. These are just college kids trying to make money before they go back to school so I get it to an extent. But don't list your venue as higher end waterfront dining when the staff isn't up to par. Calamari was the only acceptable dish we ate. But overall the service is what KILLED our night. Management was patient and kind and understanding. Highly recommend you go elsewhere until they get their ducks in a row.

Yelp
Food was good, atmosphere was really nice, literally on the water - out Waitress was super nice but tbh the price was a bit insane imho- was Definitely the $25 glasses of wine and the $30 mixed drinks

Yelp
Our grandchildren from AZ always come in during the summer and one thing they look forward to is going to Dockers. Not anymore, The prices are just stupid. We started with two orders of Grandmas Meatball, $18 each for 1 small meatball. I asked if they had bread the waitress said we could order the dinner rolls, they were horrid at $15. For our main courses we had mussels, they were extremely small. We had the tuna, it had way to much ginger, thats all you could taste. We had the lobster Mac and cheese that was very good and the scallops which were just ok. What annoyed me the most we ordered dessert and coffee, when i asked the waitress for a refill on me coffee she charge me for a second cup at $6 a cup. We will not be returning, there are too many other good restaurants on Long Island.

Yelp
Breath taking views .. picture perfect scenery .. overpriced food ..and it was not even as good as the price . Decent food. Go there to take pictures

Yelp
We just tried the 4 course for $44 at Docker's Waterside and it was a delectable delight. Also select $29 bottle of wines. Our server, Consella was terrific. She perfectly timed each course and was available but not overbearing when you needed her. The atmosphere was perfect as we watched the sunset . This special continues on Thursdays and Fridays 5-9pm until November 17. We would definitely recommend this.

Yelp
Made a rez for the restaurant but then we saw the food trucks and outside set up and decided to eat there instead. My toddler had a great time playing with the outdoor games, listening to music, and walking along the water. The food itself is expensive and nothing to write home about but you go there for the experience!

Anthony C.

Yelp
Sat at the bar , great service. Good view of water. Sat at the perch ! Lobster salad. Great Watch the people. !!!

Yelp
The food was inventive and delicious. The views and sunset from the deck were everything that you could hope for. You must have a reservation and get there early to get a nice outdoor table. There is a food truck concept and picnic table area with live music in the summer. Expensive but worth going.

Yelp
I have had Dockers flagged on my map for years. I'm from New York City and most of my Long Island friends are clustered in Nassau County. So it was difficult to find anyone willing to join me, all the way out in the Hamptons, for the exprience. A friend and I finally made it though and Dockers did not disappoint! First, I made sure to make reservations for sunset. The view of the setting sun, from the deck tables, was picturesque. Instagrammers will love it! It was made all the better by the surprising light Reggae music streaming from the speakers. We ordered a bottle of wine along with the ceviche and empanadas to start. For mains we had the swordfish and sea bass. Everything was great. Service (by Joseph?) was stellar as well! Our timing was great because after the sun set a live band/DJ came on and our table was in great position to look on without being overwhelmed by the crowd. Dessert was enjoyed during the show. Bottom Line: I loved Dockers! You should go visit. My only regret is not haveing found my way to them earlier in the summer. Next summer I won't make the same mistake.

Yelp
Go for the amazing, serene views as the goes down. Food, ordered from the food truck, just okay in my opinion -- except the tomato salad which was fantastic, with a variety of fresh tomatoes. Friendly irder tajer and prompt food delivery.

Yelp
The Dockers Waterside Marina and Restaurant offers not only amazing food choices but has some amazing water views. A must do. Try the Lobster Roll or the Pulled Pork Sliders. It does get busy so prepare early to get a table.

Yelp
We finally, after all these years got to Dockers waterside for dinner. It's been a while since we were there in early summer so I'll do my best here. We started our evening off sitting at the bar outside on the deck. I will say that the drinks were a bit pricey, but I'm also kind of out of the loop on ordering drinks in restaurants. We had the fried crispy calamari and lobster Mac n cheese. The calamari was delicately fried and tender, very delicious. The lobster Mac was creamy, cheesy and perfect. Fit dinner, I had the swordfish Milanese, the seared tuna, skirt steak. The food was delicious, prepared just right with the sear on the tuna, There swordfish sauce was delicious and tasty as well. To top it off, they have live music and a beer drinking area with picnic tables, a food truck and an awesome sunset. I highly recommend Dockers for a fun evening.

Denise C.

Yelp
Service was excellent and this is a great location on the water. We went for the special which was 4 courses for $44. Drinks are expensive and my husband ordered the chicken. He said it was dried out and did not eat a lot of it. I ordered the everything salmon which was very good.

Yelp
Great fish with creative ideas and excellent service. The manager came by and thanked us for our business.

Ak K.

Yelp
We live in Brooklyn, NYC so we know the dining scene here. This place was way overpriced for what it is, it's just outrageous. But we are in the hamptons, so just suck it up. By the way, the food was terrible! Biggest issue was there was a hair on my plate when it arrived. Told the server, and no apologies, simply said let me get you another one. When the check arrived, they charged us for the thing. I was like you don't apologize, and you also want to charge us for this? He said let me get my manager. The manager did not want to discuss this with us, so the server came back and said we took the item off the check. Horrible service, outrageously overpriced, and come on! I don't want hair in my food. Just stay away from this place! So many better places in the hamptons.
google avatar

Doreen L.

Yelp
Beautiful sunset spot but be ready to pay for that view. There are no prices listed for drinks so don't be surprised when a standard gin & tonic costs you almost $25. The $29 crab cake was bland. Worst of all, the roads to get here flood often, especially after high tide, so your car might end up underwater, all for an overpriced cocktail and crab cake! Not worth it.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
I've been here many times over the past 20 years (the name may have been different). We had a beautiful day sitting at our table by the water. Not the ocean but the north side of dune road. The server extremely attentive maybe too much but the boss was around so I understood. The place was about half full and we just wanted to have some oysters enjoy the view and wait to order the lobster roll but I felt like every time I put one to my mouth, I heard "are you ready to order your main meal?" Anyway, the orient point, local oysters were very good but too small for the price. The vodka cocktail was excellent but it didn't ease the price of the lobster roll which was great but $52? My friend chose to have fries with hers but they ran out of fries which I found odd. So half a bag of potato chips later she wasn't happy.
google avatar

Sierra L.

Yelp
Cortney was an amazing bartender she was slammed and still found a way to help everyone in front of her including me the place was packed but she was on it!! I can't stress how great of a bartender she was. Will be back to see her
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Service was awful last week, especially with how high our bill was. There are better places in the area.
google avatar

Sheryl M.

Yelp
Been going here since it opened having been a long time resident of WHB. It has grown better every year. Food and service are always top notch. Location is indescribable especially as the sun sets. Yes sometimes the road floods during high tide but you can find out before hand. This is the Hamptons and they are low lying. As far as the prices they are on par with the area; remember they have to make a living while only open 4 months. If the land gets sold and it becomes condos I will be crushed

Yelp
Dockers is a great out-of-way place the grab a pint on the way to a show. My Guinness was perfectly poured by Fabio who was friendly and well-trained. The atmosphere along the river was delightful and made for a perfect Sunday afternoon.

Lily S.

Yelp
Great outdoor space if you want to keep it casual. Awesome place to have a lobster roll and watch the sunset. Friendly staff and quick turnaround when you order.

Yelp
Five for dinner on Mother's Day late afternoon. Sat in the tented area which was spacious and temperature wise very comfortable. Tables nicely spaced apart. Greeted and seated immediately despite arriving a bit early for our reservation. For an appetizer we shared a dozen little neck clams served on a bed of crushed ice. Fresh and delicious. For dinner 2 pound lobster, two sea scallops and two haddock. Lobster was every ounce 2 pounds. Absolutely delicious. Very meaty and tender. I de shelled it myself without much effort. For an up charge they will do it in the kitchen. Everyone completely enjoyed their meals. Portions were perfect and everyone finished their meals. No way we could even think about dessert. The restaurant is extremely clean . Service was spot on. Our server was Marie (hope I heard her correctly her as that's what I called her!!!) Was very familiar with the menu. Never needed to look around for her as continually checked on us throughout our meal. Used plates and glasses were almost immediately removed. Just a perfect evening with outstanding food and service. Not a quick inexpensive meal but well worth the cost. Definitely will return. Lastly, we had the pleasure of meeting the maitre d', Antonio. He came to our table shortly after we were seated and gave a very sincere, well spoken welcome and thank you to the mothers at the table. A very humble yet proud man who served our country. Hopefully ,if you dine here you will have an opportunity to meet him.

Peter E.

Yelp
Great view love the food truck area and live music. Restaurant is awesome. With a fantastic happy hour.

Maria D.

Yelp
It is a lovely location but is overrated and way overpriced in my opinion. Maybe it gets to rest up its history but it is bordering on outrageous and it is clear management could care less.
google avatar

Melanie D.

Yelp
A boujie low-end casual place that wasnt worth my time! This place is huge and makes you feel like youre having dinner in a factory. Seriously that cheap white tent? Is this a college graduation? My experience here was awful, no service from the waiters and the lobster sandwich was disgusting with a high market place. So not worth it. parking is awful and this place just isn't worth it.
google avatar

Erin B.

Yelp
My favorite place for dinner in the Hamptons. Why? 1. Takes reservations 2. If you don't have one, grab a drink and sit by the dock while you wait 3. Perfect place to view the sunset 4. Has food truck section for those who wanting to grab a quick bite 5. Restaurant is AMAZING. Can view the sunset from there What to get? 1. Lobster 2. Lobster Mac & cheese 3. Calamari 4. Lot of rose Take a look at attached photo for reference or sunset view :)
google avatar

Roxanne C.

Yelp
Pleasant location on the water with a yummy lunch selection. The water melon salad with Ahi Tuna was perfect for a hot, humid afternoon. The portion and preparation of the fish was faultless. The K Krush specialty drink was crisp and cooling. I'm looking forward for a second visit!

Ronald B.

Yelp
Just went to truck on july2, waited over hr for food for 3!!!!. Ridiculous, at 7:30 on a tuesday night. Stay away!!!!!!!!! And still waiting for salad.

Yelp
The food was great!!! Brianna, our waitress, was very knowledgeable and diligent. She made our dining experience extra special. The atmosphere is fabulous!!! It was a very nice way to spend the evening with my family. We watched the sunset, listened to music and enjoyed our dinner. The clam chowder was loved by all of us at the table *****

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and the service has always been absolutely amazing but in particular this one bus girl was very sweet and caring towards my family at dinner. She was a very pretty girl with a slick back braid. She had walked my sister to the ladies' room when she was lost and made sure our time was impeccable. I never got a chance to ask for her name so I hope her manager may see this!

Arlene D.

Yelp
Food was great. Service excellent --- very warm and friendly staff -- ambiance -- on the water... although it was chilly and we ate inside knowing Dockers was opened means a great summer place to have drinks, dinner and even food truck food. Congrats to Larry Missy and the whole team for a great opening !!!!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Very nice place. Came here for our anniversary. Foods good and the view isn't bad either. Would go back again on a beautiful day.

Yelp
Dockers was a very nice place right on the water in the hamptons. The view of the sunset is awesome. The food was very good but, for the money I was expecting a lot more of a portion. The menu pricing is the one thing that turned me off. Very expensive menu compared to the portion sizes. I do not mind spending good money when dining out for a nice dinner but, my surf n turf was $92 and my wife had salmon for $47 I thought that was a lot and on top of that I ordered one Hendrick's martini for myself and when I saw the bill it was $30 for the one drink. I would not go back just because of that prices. I can spend that at a lot other high end establishments and get a lot more for my money.
google avatar

Rick R.

Yelp
Great place for lunch, dinner, or a drink at the bar. The service is always good and can handle a large family service. I've been there many times and never had a bad experience. Also, they keep things up to date and clean.

David T.

Yelp
Apps we great! Dinner was OK Service was Not best for the amount of Money being Spent. We asked the waitress to Not Bring our main courses for a while and her RESPONSE. I don't FIRE the Food. We again said just don't want to be rushed. She again replied I don't fire the Food. After 3 times she then said you let me know when I should have chef fire food. At a 5 person dinner at over $600.00 we should NEVER BE RUSHED or Told I DONT FIRE the FOOD.... Waitress finally asked how our meal was at Dessert Time.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
Limited menu but a great view. (That's why I gave one star.) The watercress salad was prepped incorrectly. It was served ice cold and wet-- saturated in dressing. I spent 2 hours in the toilet with food poisoning no more than 30 minutes after eating it. Never again. There are better places to dine.
google avatar

Yelp
A great restaurant on south fork, east end of Long Island, with great summer sunset views and great food. There's the main restaurant and then they have food truck as well. I've mainly come for the live music on Friday nights, mostly eaten quick bite at food truck...it's ok, not the best. The sit down restaurant was great! The steak was cooked perfectly, flavorful. But I could not stop raving about the potato's. I know, I know-it's a potato. But I'm not sure I've ever had a more perfectly cooked roasted potato. Haha! Waiter recommended blood orange margarita and I loved it. The only not great part...is the prices. For the drinks/cocktails. I get it, I'm in the Hampton's...but to me, overpriced for drinks.

Michele B.

Yelp
We had a reservation this evening at this restaurant. One of my friends who was visiting from out of town did not feel well. We suspected that she has Covid. We called two hours in advance to cancel. At first I spoke to an employee. I explained the situation and she said that she was going to charge us $100. I said I would call back and when I did I asked to speak to the manager. This man Larry came on the phone which at the time I did not know was the owner. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. He was so nasty to me and then he said that he was going to hang up on me. I hung up on him first. We have had a weekend house in the Hampton Bays for many years and we have gone to this restaurant many many times. I am going to tell everyone I know not to patronize this business. We own a business ourselves and we would never speak to a customer so rudely. The customer is always right even when they are wrong. I had Larry on the speakerphone. Everyone at my house heard how nasty he was to me. The prices have become outrageous the last couple years. They must think they are Michelin starred restaurant. I believe in karma and it is coming for the owner of this restaurant!

Yelp
This place was such a disappointment. Despite the amazing scenery, the service was absolutely horrendous and our food came out cold :( It took almost an hour for us to get our food and it was really cold out (we sat outdoors). The subpar food and service is not worth the great view.
google avatar

Craig O.

Yelp
Best Place in The Hamptons!!!!! Food is superb and the service is always done with a smile. Spectacular scene and sunset

Sam R.

Yelp
Nice venue, courteous and pleasant waitstaff, traditional seafood menu, reasonable prices.

Yelp
Great place. It's somewhat of a fancier "seafood" ish restaurant. The food is really great. Consistent. Beautiful atmosphere and views.
google avatar

Gary R.

Yelp
Usually hang by the food truck picnic tables but we changed it up and had dinner at dockers and we're impressed. We started with oysters, bisque & tuna stack. We then had the clambake and a delicious strip steak. We finished off a great night with a piece of the huge chocolate cake to take home. It was quite the dinner to end a great weekend in Hamptons
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
This is a review of the food truck. This was our first dining out experience since covid started earlier this year. Everywhere we looked at dockers, we saw and appreciated the incredible effort they are putting forward during this difficult time. It was obvious. We had the blood orange margaritas, lobster sliders, and the fried chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious. Staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Louise B.

Yelp
Have been to Dockers many times and always had a great experience. We recently tried the Food Truck. The lobster sliders and Fried Chicken sandwich were delicious. The chicken was crispy, not greasy and the spicy mayo was a great touch. The lobster sliders were a good size for $19.00. The blood orange margaritas were tasty. You can't beat the view. Everyone was practicing social distancing. The staff were friendly and pleasant. It's also a great place to paddle board and kayak. There were lots of families enjoying the water. Highly recommend if you want to be outdoors on a beautiful Summer day.

Yelp
This is a one of a kind fabulous restaurant! Firstly, Mike the manager is an unbelievable guy who runs the place like a well oiled sewing machine! The food is crazy ridiculous extra special very good! Drinks are outstanding!!! Service is like no other in the Hamptons and I have been coming to the East End since I'm a boy n I'm 72! So, get ur crew and your mother in law or your girlfriend's rough dad and come here! Don't forget desserts, even if u are so full I gonna explode! Day Steve from Westhampton Beach sent u!! Mike will know it's me!!!
