Just was not a good experience. I'd rather go to the other locations. I ordered a large catfish dinner for $20. A can pop is not even included and they gave me the smallest pieces. I would have taken it back but I made it home which was a 45 minute drive. Im just going to take this loss and waste of money

Its super clean. Good service. The food was really good and fresh. I've been eating Docks since I was a teenager. This particular place makes me want to come back. Get the perch, or the huge fish sandwich, you're welcome, you're gonna need a Nap after lol

Me and my husband has visited this location several times, even though we're all the way in Chicago, I enjoyed coming here because the service is always fast. Today was not a pleasant experience at all for me. The chick that was on the register, with the glasses and the blonde streaks in her hair, yea she shouldn't even be allowed to interact with the public. She was loud, rude and very condescending while im asking her about the juice punch they're now selling. Crazy thing is i know if my husband had've went in there by himself he wouldn't have gotten the nasty attitude I did!! Not only did she lose them a sale on the juice, because we were going to purchase several, but I also requested a refund because I didn't want her anywhere near my food. Safe to say we won't be going back to this location. Things really could've gotten bad but im not about to argue with no female mad because she gotta work on a Sunday!!!

I’m sorry but you pay for food and you should get just that. This visit I experienced was so beyond awful. I am going to upload the fries if possible. We have to do better for the price that we pay. Those fries are unacceptable. And this is just what I received I didn’t eat anything out the bag or anything.

Don’t even bother! Just take that drive over to 87th street. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I ordered the sea nuggets, fish sandwich and wings for my baby. Got home, the wings were burnt, the sandwich was full of tartar sauce and the nuggets taste like they were cooked in old grease! 🤢. NO SEASONING! And I’m only eating it cuz i paid for it, i got hot sauce and I’m just hungry. Then i find out the owner of this location owns the one on 35th. I had the same problem with the 35th location a few months ago. Old grease taste. Imma just stick with 87th street from now on.

I called and asked how much 3 shrimp was. The guy said I don’t know off of the back of my head. I said I wanted to place an order to go. Then he bursted back”well you didn’t say you wanted to place an order to go.. i said i didn’t want it anymore and he said he didn’t want to take my order anymore. I went in and he said his name is Earl and when I asked if that was him on the phone he got an attitude then too saying that I didn’t say I wanted to place a to go order but me literally saying that was what made him keep saying it.

First time ever at a Docks. There was a lot to choose from, and good variations in pricing. I decided on the poor boy shrimp sandwich. It had huge, fried pieces of fish on a toasted bun. Very good. I also tasted my friend's catfish. Large pieces, perfectly fried. A very good place for fish. The girl behind the counter even offered to bring an order out to the car for someone!

Just like when Docks was super popular in the 80s. Be prepared to wait for your food. Got the classic fish wish. Taste just like I remembered. If I'm ever in the area, I will be back.

This was my first time here.... At Docks in general. So for the customer service to be as shitty as it is .. was crazy!! The guy who answered the phone was super rude and dry , I was only calling to see if my online order was ready because the app wasn't letting me see.. and he says ".... All the online orders ready .. they been ready" I said ok thank you and he hangs clean up on me.. then I put no lettuce on my sandwich .. guess what.. I got lettuce .. a lot of it brown and welted! Disgusting. . I won't b back and it CLEARLY said no lettuce on my receipt. So I know they saw it

Docks In country club Hills this past year has been my favorite. The Customer Service was great at first. The food was great at first however, I received a notification about my rewards about to expire , so of course we went and ordered so I would not lose my points the young lady Took my phone number so I can get my points , upon checking a day later they were still not in my account when I called to inquire about this I was told by a a sympathetic and rude manager that there's nothing they could do about it and hung up on me and would not answer the phone again . I spent 40 plus dollars in this place and did not receive my reward points . I will not be returning to DOCKS and I will tell everyone I know About my bad experience poor Customer Service and incompetent person at the register who does not know what they're doing. I could've spent that $40 somewhere else and the food would've been much better. Instead of the fish being overcooked the breading was falling off. It's not as good as it was when I first started going there

The inside is clean. The fish was uncooked, unsafe, and unhealthy for anyone to eat. It was covered in heavy salty batter but when I opened the fish it was gray and not cooked and definitely not fresh. I spent $18.00 on my order and that was the cost for me to never go back again. I only hope the owner improve their service for the community. It is my duty to tell people I know not to go there for their safety. With the increase of the cost of food it's important to at least receive proper food service. The location is key for people to pick up food. I was so disappointed and too far away to return and request a refund. I only hope my words would ignite a move to the owner to serve better.

It is with a sad heart that I wrote this review because (6 years ago) this Docks fish was delicious flaky and fresh, seasoned to perfection with the perfect amount of crunch. The service was pleasant and courteous. The wait was spot on with 5 minutes meaning 5. But the food ‍ What I received on Monday was so far from that I couldn't believe. It was super fresh, piping hot so I couldn't even eat it for the first ten minutes ( I've burned my tongue so many times, it's not funny. So I started with the coleslaw... it had a weird bitterness and was super sweet like they added a random mix of raw turnip and sugar to the mix. My little who usually tries to eat her weight in coleslaw gave it back with her little thumbs turned down letting me know she wasn't having it either. Finally fish time...or so I thought. I started with the shrimp and the batter was different and nothing reminiscent of Docks. It was really and I mean really salty. We were on a 2.5 hour drive and I drank all my water trying to palate the flavors so I switched to the fish hopping the batter was their fish nugget batter which is what it has been in the past and it was the same as the shrimp... more water. The batter also came off the fish in sheets like a gross fish stick and it was milky underneath. Out of water, I had a shrimp and two pieces of fish and coleslaw left. I tossed it.

Dec 2021 update: Food is still good. Customer service hit different on a Thursday night! They seemed to be under staffed. Call your order in and don't use this app. You'll pay more and won't see the specials. They forgot one of my orders of fries. The shrimp tease (one of my favs) was awful. The breading was way off, it's was fried batter overload with a tail sticking out. Docks, u have to shake excess wet batter BEFORE you shake in the flour! Frying 101!

I've been eating Dock's fish for yeeeeaaaars! Love the Fishwish (with cheese)! This location beats the CHICAGO spot with cleanliness. And service. Service is quick and the staff is courteous and respectful with one another. The front and back were clean, especially in comparison to the 87th street spot. The flavor of the Fishwish is close to the original, and not bad at all. It definitely satisfied my craving. It's just missing some seasonings. Overall, it was a respectable sandwich. I'm not a fan of this chocolate shake. It reminds me of a Frosty. Again, the flavor is odd. Some people may like it. Look, I love fries fish sandwiches. So, I'll be back.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. After having a discrepancy with the pricing. Being told two different things and charged more than I was initially told by the rude cashier, I asked for a manager who nonchalantly cancelled my order. The rest of the folks in my party still placed theirs. While waiting for their order I sat in the corner watching the kitchen staff. One of the cooks licked her fingers to pull apart a plastic bag and proceeded to bag someone's order. Then went on to prep more fries for the following orders. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Everyone else in my group immediately cancelled their order. Don't come here.

I went to docks on Friday 5/26 at 6:45p and have never witnessed such incompetent, lazy, shift-less people lacking customer service skills ever before. I, along with four other customers, stood waiting at the cash register (for several minutes) for someone (anyone) to acknowledge we were there. Yet there were at least 5 employees who would occasionally peek out from the back to glance in our direction. No greeting or "we'll be with you in a moment" from anyone who works there. The absolute worst employee was a man leaning against the wall, having zero interest in doing his job as he scrolled on his phone and completely ignoring waiting customers. The poor attitudes along with their obvious disdain for customers prove that these people simply do not need to be running a business.

The fishwich was AMAZINGLY delicious, and I gave my second sandwich to my son and as a result, I've returned today for another go at it. This location is very unprofessional! I visited this location because I was in the area visiting clients. I decided to support the business since it's been years since I've had Dock's. There was an employee speaking to her coworkers in a rude and unprofessional manner. This is a young African American girl, in a Black Establishment, behaving badly. I'm my opinion, whom ever the Owner is, you need to step it up! You can't leave your business to just anyone of you to be successful in the community. Your presence must be there to be sure your customers are getting quality service. This is so sad. We can't have nice businesses in our areas. I see business owners hiring just anybody off the streets to deal with your customers! The young lady slamming doors, yelling in the establishment, and making idle threats is egregious and unacceptable! You must do better!! You need to be in your business..."Business Owner"!!!! You have a responsibility to train and develop these young people and STOP just hiring anybody! I WILL NOT BE BACK AND... I SURELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DOCK's IN COUNTRY CLUB HILLS!! Negative 5 STARS. This is the worst food with horrible customer service & it's sad to say but Morgan is a mistake for the face of greeting customers. The food was cold. I wouldn't serve anyone old grease tasting cold food. They need to have a health inspection. You dealing with the public act accordingly. Adding a star would be the k my way to leave a review. & I never leave bad reviews but this place more than deserves it. Save your money & invest in something worth your appetite. You want to eat to enjoy your food not just survive off what is being shelled out.

I've been going to Docks since the NOI owned it, I never had a problem until recently, I'm eating more scales than fish, why isn't this fish cleaned properly? And then today we buy some and the whiting had a different taste and texture, the skin was not attached to the fish as if they didn't fry it long enough and it just tasted weird after trying 2 pcs. I ended up throwing the other 3pcs away. I can tell you it was not whiting. Also what's with the hotdog buns for rolls, just go to Walmart and purchase some dinner rolls for god's sake. I'd love to say Docks was great but with every purchase, they're becoming worse and worse, can't say I'll be back.

I had a terrible experience with this establishment. First off I ordered online a 2 fishwich combos one with a large fry and one with onion rings. I was charged $.50 extra for the onion rings and $.50 extra for the larger fry. When I picked up my order I realized that I was missing the onion rings. So I went back to find out what happened and was told that they don't even sell onion rings. How do you have an item on the menu that you don't sell? Then the fry was a regular fry. So my question is if you know you don't sell these items why wouldn't say something when I pick up the order? Then I also ordered hi C orange and they gave an orange crush they really need to get their menu to correspond with the restaurant. They gave me a small cold spaghetti for my inconvenience and didn't give a fork, napkins or a straw. I don't think I'll be back here again.

Service was great! Food was just ok. It wasn't the same as 87th & the Dan location. Different bread for the fishwish sandwhich and lighter breading too. The shrimp were excellent tho. I would go back for the shrimp, but I'll stick to 87th location for my fishwish sandwich. The place was also very clean and not crowded. Also you have to ask for napkins & hot sauce.

Extremely late review, but i can not, will not forget my stop ins at this new location. I, my aunts & uncle enjoyed there meals. Even got a discount from my post on FB check ins. Service, good. We live in iowa, so instead of driving in town to 87th, i can hit them up on the way back home, as i have done twice. Last visit was during the spring of this year. We will be back. Cant wait to try the new one out on the low end....

I grew up on the south side and ate Docks regularly. Then I moved to the burbs and Docks was a distant memory. So when I saw that a new Docks opened in Country Club Hills, all the nostalgia of my youth came rushing back. Since I'm a foodie and will travel long distances for good food I didn't think twice about taking the 50 minuet ride. Actually, I did think it was crazy to drive that far but I'd never tell anyone cuz they'd give me the side eye for sure. It's a new restaurant with a new restaurant feel and new restaurant smell. I ordered the number 1, a fishwish combo. The customer service could stand some improvement. When customers that ordered after me got their food before me I started to get antsy. I did have to go back and ask the cashier to check my order but it was quickly rectified. It took a little over 15 minuets to get my food. I did observe a number of customers coming in picking up phone in orders. So, I'm assuming that's the insider tip. Pre order. I eagerly took my food to my car and I was a happy fishwish eating girl. It was worth the drive, and the wait. Some customer service tweaking will easily upgrade this Docks to 5 star worthiness.

All the hours online & on the door says 11pm, Of course I pull up at 10:30 and the employees locked the door and said they have been closing at 10:30 for a year. How hard is it to change your hours online? Not at all, I have a brick & mortar store. Get it together.

This place is very fast in preparing your order and 1 of only 2 left in the Chicago area! I would recommend coming on Wednesday's to get the Fishwich special for $3.99...you can't beat that. They also have combo specials for $12.99 everyday! Located in a safe area and well lit is a plus for late night craves!!!!

Just visited this location and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice and offered samples of their dockberry shake. One would think that the food prices would be high just because they opened a store in the suburbs and this is not the case. My order took a while(perch dinner with a shrimp teaser) and the staff kept me informed as to when it'll be ready without me asking them which is pretty cool. The food was fantastic and tasty and the portions were good! I would've given 5 stars but they told me they weren't making any more wings an hour before closing. I would definitely recommend this location and I would visit this place again!

This was my first time at this Dock's establishment. When ordering my meal I was greeted by the worst worker, I ordered a #3, the worker ask what kind of drink I wanted, I told her I don't want any drink, she shouted in a Stern, harsh voice " you don't want a #3, you want a fish sandwich and fries." I said ma'am this is my first time here the picture didn't show a beverage, she tells me the total then walks away, and start filling up cups of soda for someone else then walks in the back as she tell someone else to take my money. Why do black people have to be so rude ignorant to each other? If you don't like where you work go find another job because you do not need to be dealing with the public. Not only were you disrespectful to me, but I watch as you place drinks on the counter and yell "here your drinks" who in the hell are you talking too there's six people in here, and the poor (Door-dash) man stood there for 10mins Until someone else came out from the back and gave him the drinks that the grouch had filled 10mins ago. I can't make this mess up. I will not be back. It only take one person to turn your whole day up side down.

Wow. I haven't stopped by a Docks in easily 20+ years. Just got one in Country Club Hills a while ago and decided to check them out. FANTASTIC. Freshly cooked (tried the iconic Fishwich™) and great customer service. Can't recommend this location enough. Will be there Wednesday for the special!

They now serve serve the same fries from Sharks which is a major downgrade in my opinion. Always liked Docks fries now they change after 30 years?. Possibly to cut costs but I'm sure the loss in customers is far more expensive. Also had to wait 20 min when I was told over the phone my order would be ready in 5 min. Probably won't be coming back.

How can you justify a $10 difference in price from 87th street to country club hills for the same food. I mean the exact same food. Sorry, I can never support an establishment that would charge a $10 difference for the same food from the same restaurant. Such a bad look!

This is my 1st visit to Docks location in Country Club hills IL. I have always gone to 87th off of the Dan Ryan, which is always spot on! Country Club hills Il serve was terrible and I mean terrible. I order fish Combo and side of Nuggets. So awful, I never do reviews but the fish was not Fresh!!!!!The fish had to be cook Freezing... It was brown not white. I will never go to this Docks location again and no Ice for pops. They were very unprofessional and appear to be confused about who does what job. I suggest you find another Docks. This 1 sucks

I went there twice. we ordered two fishwish's and they came out in a timely manner. we were expecting a long wait like the other docks on 87th. It was ready in 10 min wooo hooo. However, our second visit was a ok. We ordered our fishwish's and brought them home. My wife opened her fishwish to adjust the tomatoes and with a disappointed face found a long piece of hair on the bottom bun. My suggestion please wear hairnets. If you scratch your head please wash your hands before touching food. I am sure we will be back but cleanliness is very important. Overall the food is great. The employees are all new and need help with organization. Hopefully there is a strong management team to help the service to become more efficient. We are happy to see another Dock's and wish them the best.

I was feeling nostalgic and went there expecting what I enjoyed in my 20s. Didn't happen the fish was very bland, no salt on fries, no coleslaw with the meal and a guy in the front ran his mouth just a little too much for me. There are some businesses that shouldn't have a TV on the premises. There is seating but they don't keep it very warm. It was my last trip.

Taste great. Hope they stay around. Service has been mostly positive. Only complaint is how small the lobby is and becomes super crowded at lunch and dinner. Also, you have to make sure you ask for condiments. Other than that keep up the good work.

Initially I was so thrilled when the Docks came to the south suburbs. Happy that I didn't have to drive to 87th Street. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with the staff both times that I visited the Docks on 167th. Generally, 3 strikes makes an OUT. I won't be patronizing them for the 3rd strike. You need to employ people with better attitudes 8/08/21.

OH MY GOD!!!!! After avoiding this place for a year I stopped in to get sandwiches for my family. What a big mistake. Got half way home to discover that one third of my order was missing. Shame on you. I went back to the register where the person in the back I guess the cook apologized through the cashier and attempted to correct the order. I decided to check the order before I left to learn that the third part of the order was COLD. i took it back to the counter. It was colder than to order I came back with. The cook or the person in the back sent it up a 3rd time. (now I consider it recycled food) and said that the fish was warm. I asked is this how you served your customers and keep your business open. You only give them part of their order and when they return to correct it you give them cold recycled food. Once the food comes back over your counter you should replace it. They were not that professional and God only knows what they do when your food comes back. Miserable people. If the food is anywhere near as bad as the customer service they are going to lose a lot more customers than my little $33.00 bucks plus tip!!! The community wants you to bring your business but you've got to act like it's your business. It would have cost you about $2.00 to replace my $9.00 sandwich that you handled three times especially since you knew I ordered three sandwiches and you only put two in my bag. Are you keeping the extra money or are you selling the same sandwich twice because my first two were hot and the last one was cold??? If you still go to this restaurant after reading the reviews just check your food before you leave. Don't be surprised if have to give it to the dogs when you get home. i STOPPED COMING TO DOCK'S LAST YEAR FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE. I WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Bad food - Horrible Service. Recycled sandwiches. this was my second time here, the first time placed an order when I got home one of the items I purchased was not in the bag, I call they told me next time i'm there to mention it, I did (no problem) on 8/27/2018 I go back Ordered a large Perch and a fishwich I did receive the item that I did not receive the first time. When i got home this time the perch was fried so hard that you could not chew it. Called back and all they said is that they were sorry. well i'm sorry too because I WON"T BE BACK!!!!!

So the last few times I've been to this location I've been over it. From the poor customer service to incorrect orders. Today I placed a phone order after taking a break from eating here for a month or so. I ordered a fish sandwich with cheese, tartar sauce on the side, and a large fry. Not only did they smother my sandwich with tartar sauce after I said I wanted on the side at least twice, but this fry? This is not a large fry. Horrible portion size. And they were cold. So, I'm done. If I can't get to the locations in the city then I guess I won't be eating Dock's.

If I didn't like the fish so much, I probably would not come back. I've been a Docks fan for years. This location does have friendly staff, but the service is very disorganized. I walked in during a lull in business, only one other customer. I was being helped by a lady who apparently was in training, she didn't know the menu very well. Once we got things figured out(with the help of some random voice from the back), now I'm ready to order. But the manager was taking an order on the phone at her register. Finally she was able to take my order after about a 5 minute wait. She takes my order and inputs it wrong, $26+ dollars for a small Whiting and 3 pieces of shrimp didn't sound right. The manager catches it too and corrects the error. Now I'm waiting for the food. More people started coming in, and within 10 minutes they had orders backing up. I saw at least three pick up customers whos orders were wrong, causing more confusion. My food comes in about 15 minutes, not bad, but no condiments or eating utinsels in the sack. Again, the food quality is good, always has been IMO. But they could work on the way orders move from the counter to the cooks and back. Seems to be a breakdown somewhere. I would never call in my order, because of the mistakes I witnessed.

Very disappointed. The food had the potential to be good but it was served room temperature. That's unacceptable. I ordered a Fishwich combo last night (1/2/20) and it was ready in 5 minutes. The fries were hard and cold and the fish was room temperature. I ate it while driving so there was no reason for the food to be cold. I don't recommend this location. Theft clearly aren't concerned with repeat customers

Food was tasty and hot. I've tried the Fishwich sandwich, grilled catfish and fried catfish. Establishment is clean and staff friendly. Haven't had Docks in about 15+ years and it was a very welcoming treat. I highly recommend this location.

new location in country club hills is the worst .... this is my second time trying to patronize this restaurant in my community first time when i got home with my order item paid for was not in the bag. was told next time u visit they would replace it.(no problem) go back on 8/27/2018 fish was fried so hard that you can't chew it. so much for patronizing the community.
