Love the patio here. Happy hour is awesome with great deals on drinks and eats. Can be a little crowded from time to time but still not something that really takes away from the experience. Dog friendly always wins points with me. Sometimes service can be a little slow but once again nothing that's going to stop me from coming back.

Good spot for drinks and food during football season. We stopped in on a Sunday while they had a few different games on through the while place. Service was great from our server, but the first person who asked us for a drink order was ride as hell. Glad we didn't end up with her. Good wings, cooked right, nice and crispy with good flavored sauces. Fries are a let down. They look browned almost like they're burnt, but still manage to be soggy. Tasted overdone for sure.

The happy hour scene is fun and it gets pretty crowded. BUT, this place is surprisingly never crowded for football games (let's hope it stays that way) and it's outside but semi-covered, which is the perfect combination in Austin. Two stars knocked off for the food though...nothing to get excited about, although there are sometimes cheap specials like $1 crunchy tacos that you end up getting because you had too many beers...

I've gone to doc's happy hour several times. It's a great location with pretty easy parking. The happy hour food menu is awesome. They have some great goat cheese/black bean nachos. They are so good. I like how they have an inside and outside patio.

Ideal locale on South Congress. There's a daily special every day but Fri/Sat for cheap drinking. Happy hour runs 4-7 and offers half off domestics+cheap appetizers. Wed is dollar taco night, hugely popular. Overall the food is so/so in quality but the reasonable drinks and ample outdoor seating more than make up for it. Plenty of TVs to catch a game as well. It's definitely the best spot to drink on South Congress!

Doc's has a really good layout with lots of tables and many TVs making viewing sporting events pretty easy to view. Their sports bar type food is pretty on par and standard, but considering there are many sports bars around Austin that step it up when it comes to their food offerings, the quality of things like the burgers here just don't cut it. The fries are great though.

AMAZING LOCAL FOOD. My friend and I found it while walking down Congress. Whilst everywhere else was jam packed and impossible to get into, Doc's Motorworks was completely open and quick for us to seat ourselves and start ordering drinks. The wait staff was nice, and their food was friggen' delicious. I highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere on Congress to get awesome food. (Also they had vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu)

This is just an all around good place to hang with friends. You are in the middle of SoCo so you can spend as much or as little time here as you want and still be in the thick of things. Beer selection is good and the burgers are great! Keep it simple here and the times will roll.
