Yelp
My partner and I had the luck of finding Greg / Dog Day Afternoon October of 2016. He has picked up our two young girls 3 days a week since - a stubborn coonhound and a boisterous leopard dog. If there is anyone you can trust to take care of the pooches and help rear them into adulthood with loving care and a deep understanding of their ways, it is Greg!!
Greg's character is of the highest integrity. He would not shirk the responsibility of a customer's dog, and as I've claimed already, his knowledge of canine health and behavior is deep. On multiple occasions, Greg has given us great advice. For example, we found out a few weeks after adopting the coonhound that she had heartworms. Our vet treated this as a grave diagnosis and provided a long list of very expensive and 'necessary' steps - medicines, therapies, etc - that we would need for a full recovery. After mentioning the news to Greg, without prompt he repeated all of the information the vet gave us, but left out the superfluous treatments. We went to a different vet who confirmed Greg's info. She is fully recovered at 1/6th the cost. Greg has saved us vet visits on multiple occasions by telling us what to do or what something meant in different scenarios. When you use Greg you're vicariously gaining his experience, which is incredibly valuable.
Though I've used Yelp intermittently over the years, this is my first review. I think the platform can be mob-minded and in instances gives too much power to irrational, spiteful people. "Truth I." and "Stephen N." represent the epitome of this. What Greg provides for the dog park's community is invaluable. He brings in the best-socialized dogs around... His crew meets and plays with new dogs weekly. They are accustomed to being around dogs of all shapes, sizes, and behaviors. In fact, as a frequent dog park-er, this is how I initially became aware of Greg. He would come to the park with a few dogs and, every time, those dogs created a fun, playful, energy-depleting environment for my leopard dog (a pup at the time). When we were in need of dog-care, I looked him up. He did a thorough assessment of their behavior and does NOT bring dog-aggressive animals to the park. Do not pay attention to these two vindictive people with ridiculous assumptions who need their egos pandered to at THE DOG PARK of all places....
