"This Cali-born chain is devoted to hot dogs, and its menu runs the gamut. Instead of the traditional bun, find dogs like the Chili the Kid, topped with white American cheese, chili, and crispy onions, served on a trio of King’s Hawaiian rolls." - Courtney E. Smith, Amy McCarthy

"This Richardson house of hot dogs, sausages and burgers features both fries and tots in glorious abundance. Fries and tots come toasted golden brown and can be topped with chili, cheese, or both. Feeling crazy? Order up a Love Boat: tots or fries loaded with haus chili and slaw." - Amy McCarthy, Rachel Pinn

Today was the first time I’ve been to Dog Haus, I was meeting a friend. Perhaps I should have been paying closer attention to the name “Dog Haus” and ordering a dog would improve the experience. We met close to 12:30, there were a couple of tables with customers, and a few that looked like the plates had been bussed but not wiped down. The noise level was conducive to easy conversation. My friend ordered 2 “Roadside” sliders and I ordered 6 “Roadside” sliders. My friends came out looking exactly like one would expect, two small patties in between two buns. The patties on mine were chopped up and almost burnt to a crisp. I wasn’t expecting them to be chopped. When I asked the server about it they had to check with the kitchen. Subsequently, I was told that if I were to order 2 they came as patties and if I ordered 6 they came chopped. So be it, I didn’t know, either way burnt is burnt (see picture). I must admit the flavor was good, just difficult to chew ground beef pellets. Dog Haus seems like a convenient place to go for a beer after work. If I go back I’ll be trying a dog.

Who doesn't love a good hot dog? The temperature outside was 94 ° with humidity at an astounding I don't know what. I was suffocating in my car and I had to pull over to get some rest. And lo and behold this wonderful restaurant was right there for me. The interior was chilled properly from the AC and it was spacious and had massive big screen TVs showing all the cool things that everybody likes to see. But something else got my attention and this was not something I normally see. Near the entrance there was a "Speedball" that boxer is used to train themselves in hand and eye coordination. This was my first time that I ever had the opportunity to use this training tool for boxers. Let me tell you I turned into a child and was having the time of my life. Now of course I wasn't perfect. However I saw that I was improving after only 10 to 15 minutes. One of the employees however showed that I needed plenty of practice which would also involve eating lots of hot dogs! I took a video of it because it was almost like watching Mike Tyson for a minute. I am totally committed in going back to this place to eat hot dogs. However going back to practice boxing actually was a perfect idea to get more customers to come into this wonderful restaurant. I mean who was the genius behind that idea? So the invitation is now being sent to all people who love hot dogs and who love boxing that this is the place to hang out because it is a place of fun and relaxation. Don't take my word for it but come and see for yourself.

Dog Haus is back! The old ownership really let things go before they closed, but as of the April reopening, things are great! The place was well staffed, and everyone was incredibly friendly and upbeat. The menu was refreshed (although I am missing some of the dog selections), and the food was fresh, fast, and fantastic. Glad it was able to be resurrected under new management! Edit: the new ownership is Logan Paul. I have mixed feelings about that lol

We got to go food for the office and I did not really enjoy it. So I can't comment of the restaurant or its service. The chicken sandwich was designed for looks, not for eating. The 4 rolls as a bun doesn't work because the rolls want to tear apart. They toast them but, the way they are sliced the bottom portions were too thin and it fell apart. The chicken portion is great but, it's in 2 massive oversized tenders so you basically just get massive bites of chicken in-between falling apart rolls. Every bite shedding more of the sauce and toppings out of the side. I guess if you want to mukbang it's a solid option. There is lots of good flavor here but, the design is off. It looks great but, eats bad. Tastes fine but, you can't get a good bite of everything all at once.

Let's start with this was our favorite place to go. They recently closed and re-opened "new and improved" for whatever reason. This is the downfall. Visited for Father's Day, big mistake! 1) hot dog and fries were completely cold. No hint of warmth 2) beer selection changed to be more generic and beers were flat 3)staff, two younger employees, were more than willing to correct things but had ZERO personality or customer service skills. Didn't talk to us or anyone, didn't greet us or the other customers in line, dude just stared waiting to take our order. No apologies for cold food, no meaningful interaction, no politeness. (When we had issues with food quality simply said "ok" and walked away, wasn't even sure if they were gonna fix or do anything due to their non caring attitude. 4)Food was not as quality as before. $15 dollar salad, was cabbage mix. $10 cold hot dog I miss how this place was before restructuring and the prior employees who were friendly and liked their job. Changes aren't always better :(

At first I thought the 3,000 good reviews might just be Jake Paul hype , but it’s not! Everything is on point!! The restaurant looks new, modern… and super clean. The staff is very friendly , responsive and seemed to go above and beyond. The chopped cheese sliders were my favorite . All the ingredient’s felt fresh and high quality . We will be back!

I used to love coming here before they closed it for about six months and reopened recently. The food quality is not the same at all. I don’t know what happened or why they changed food suppliers but it is not the Dog haus that I used to always enjoy. The customer service is mid It took about 30 minutes to receive my food which isn’t a big deal but for the quality of the food it is a big deal. I’m sorry to say that I will not be coming back. It is not like how it used to be.

Walked in and the counter workers had no idea what was even on their menu. It was our first time so we asked for recommendations and no one had any. Great sign. Then when we ordered a burger, they said they did not have burgers, only sliders in stock. The place was full of flies and gnats, and it took forever to get our food, considering it was a quick counter service restaurant. We got a chicken sandwich and a hot dog, which clearly the hot dog was ready well before the sandwich because by the time the food came, the bun on the hot dog was completely soggy and fell apart. Not to mention, this place has Jake Paul plastered on the wall in multiple spots which is not fun to see when you’re trying to enjoy your meal.
