Dogz has great breakfast and bottomless mimosas! The chicken and waffles are so good 🧇 They have good $6 burgers on Thursdays too!

Went here for lunch and the vibe of the place was awesome. Our waitress, Mary, was very friendly and recommended the White Sangria to my girlfriend over the red one, with which she was very delighted. We ended up splitting the Sliders, and were going to get Sweet Potato Waffle Fries seperately, but Mary suggested if we wanted to just upgrade the chips to fries instead. Awesome choice! And she brought us all the sauces they have. It was a great lunch date under $50 before tip. Our little doggie sometimes gets anxious when we go to spots like this, but she was very relaxed this time, despite other dogs being on the patio, so that was great to see, too. Will definitely be coming back! Update: We came back for Steak Night on Wednesday, and they grilled our cuts up to a perfect, delicious Medium. Highly recommend coming with Steaks in hand on Wednesday.

Dogz is a sports bars along a mile stretch of 2nd st on Belmont Shore. Servers and staff were helpful and fast. Their food& drinks were priced well. Indoor/outdoor seating to catch a game or people watch. Ask about the specials, like Free fry Fridays.

Dogs are allowed on patio. Beer was good, didn't get anything special. Happy hour is worth it. People are all friendly and like dogs. Homeless came in 2-3 times and got kicked out unfortunately.

I got a drink here a little while back and it was made with a lower grade of alcohol than I asked for. The environment was very crowded and I kept getting touched by a random guy which made me extremely uncomfortable. I was only able to stay for like a half an hour and that’s because I had people with me that wanted to stay. The only reason this place gets two stars is because of how nice the bouncers were when I was entering. Unless you love crowds night time here is not the vibe. (Note: I can’t say anything about the food itself (only the alcohol) so if you come during the day and actually get food you will probably have a completely different experience)

Nice atmosphere, decent parking on street if you can find one. Not a large portion but we had a tastie pastrami sandwich, the beer is cold with plenty of choices. Service could have been faster.

Been coming here for many months. The staff has always been super friendly to me and the weekday specials are great 👍. A fair warning though, Wednesday is always hectic. 75 cent per wing specials mixed with free steak cooking(s) if you bring your own steak(s) is a recipe for a crowded bar & grill 😅

Great spot for some BBQ sliders and drinks. They offered premium drinks(liquor) for 5 dollars a pop. I loved how dog friendly they were. I can't wait to go back, have a drink, and go for a swim. Great vibes, overall!

Dogz Restaurant and Grill Review Dogz Restaurant and Grill is a fun, laid-back spot with a cool vibe and good music that keeps the energy flowing. The area is really nice, though parking can be a bit of a challenge--so plan ahead. One of the best things about Dogz is their "Bring Your Own Steak" Wednesdays--you bring your own cut of meat, and they'll grill it up for you just the way you like it. You just purchase your sides and drinks from the bar. Super chill and definitely a unique experience! The place is usually busy, especially on weekends when it's really popping. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, good tunes, and something different for dinner, Dogz is worth checking out.

My expectations were in hell walking in--and still, I was somehow surprised by how poorly my girlfriends and I were treated. After a great dinner in Newport, we stopped by on a whim, ready to be a little goofy and do the bar's infamous "Shoot the Dog" shot (a $20 mix of vodka, mustard, michelada, and an olive / hot dog--yes, it's as gross as it sounds). The whole point? You get a hat. It's their thing. We were handed leftover hats--dull black-on-black--and when someone walked in moments later with a full stack of new ones, I politely asked to swap. The bartender snapped "no" like I'd asked for a kidney. Apparently, it was "on my head." It was literally clipped to my purse. Every exchange with staff had that special blend of condescension and contempt. I was sober, respectful, and genuinely trying to enjoy myself. Instead, I was treated like a drunk nuisance. It's wild to be patronized over a novelty shot and a free hat like I'm a problem, when I was one of the calmest people in the room. Never again.

Pro-tip: Parking is a little tricky. After 7 on weekdays you most likely will find free parking spot on the side not too far away. A more intimate sports bar on the bustling 2nd street, Dogz offers serviceable bar food with a wide selection of draft beer for all the boyz. Oh, and they have most of the games: touches all four corners (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB) plus European football (et al). Came here on a date. Wasn't too packed. Ordered a miller lite beer, couple margaritas and 12 piece wings. $48 bill is on the average side. Server's recommendation would be the lemon pepper AND classic sauce blend. To be safe, we ordered wings with classic buffalo sauce with a side of lemon pepper seasoning. The wings were kinda on the average side for bar food, BUT, the combo of lemon pepper seasoning + classic buffalo wings + Blue cheese dip is super memorable and flavorful. All in all, it's finger licking good. I would definitely consider another visit, but I'm far removed from Long Beach, so I'm completely fine with this visit as a potential one/done .

Came in on 03/06/25 around 7pm. Came to celebrate a good friend's birthday. It was a Thursday night and it was busy but not too busy where you couldn't walk through the place to get to the bathroom like on most nights. I was so hungry and knew I had to eat something before the drinking commenced. I ordered the 12 pc chicken wings: 6 lemon pepper and 6 buffalo. They came with veggie sticks. Why were these so dang good. They weren't the small and thin wings. These were fat and juicy. I love it when bar food exceeds expectations. Our waitress was on top of it with taking the orders and getting everything to us quickly. And she wasn't overwhelmingly rushing or anything. Very professional and friendly. The bar is on the corner of the block, so you can't miss it from any direction you're coming from. Pretty clean for a busy bar. Bathroom was clean too. Happy Hour from 4pm-7pm with $6 wells, $8 calls and $1 off 20oz beers. Right now they have St. Patty's Day specials which sound so good. An Irish Frappuccino and a Jameson and ginger slush. My kind of drinks lol 10/10. The food and service were great!

Came here and met Asia great vibeeeees first time was amazing, she provided great drink recommendations and we even got hats. I would def come back and enjoy again.

LMFAO love this place !!!!! Because a fucking bar/grill w hella vegetarian options has my HEARTTT. I got a godamn vegetarian glizzy and that shit hitted. Literally forced my best friend (who is not a big hot dawg fan) to try my dawg cuz it tasted so similar to real meat. I ain't never tried a Chicago dog before but that shit was chef's kiss. The pickles on it fucking hit. The only tragedy was getting mustard stain on my favorite zip up sweatshirt because I cannot get that shit out #RIP . Anyways the fries were also hella bomb, love that this place has daily deals cuz we came on a Friday and got the fries for freeeeee. My dog didn't have any complaints about the patio, they had heaters which were nice. Overall would so come back !!!!

After a day at Rosie's dog beach, we were looking for a place to go watch the basketball game and have a bite to eat. We had our dog with us and searched for places that allowed dogs. And with the name "Dogz", we assumed it would be a bit more dog friendly. When we arrived, it was packed and the only place that allowed dogs was a very small outdoor patio in the front. The tables were very tightly packed together, and we were seated at a high top, which was very difficult with my dog on a leash. And despite my dog being right next to us, and under the table, he was eventually stepped on due to the tight quarters. We ordered some wings which were "fine" and a couple beers, but felt rushed to leave, not only by the server who kept asking if we were ready for the check, but also people waiting for tables (table stalking) just staring at us the entire time, making us feel uncomfortable. Literally when we got up, a father and son practically dove into our seats. One and done for this place.

The ambience of this place is a vibe always. Music is good and the food is tasty as well. They have different options for things to eat and weekly daily deals which makes it a treat to look forward to the different options, they have throughout the week. The service is why I didn't give them the full five stars. I've been here multiple times and when I have the server, Mary she is rude. She isn't attentive to her tables at all. She disappears for long periods of time and doesn't bother to come back and update her tables or at least apologize for the wait. I work in the service industry as well and have for many years and it goes a long way to just let your tables know that you are serving other tables and may be busy or just being transparent with your tables. aside from that she just has an attitude that makes it seem like she doesn't want to be bothered. I noticed that her attitude shifted the minute it was time for us to close out the bill to me. Just gives a bad picture. On top of all of that, it was my best friend's birthday too. Like I said, because I work in the food industry, I will make sure to tip the appropriate amount as long as the service is there and for her, I just felt like she didn't deserve the tip based off of the service she gave us.

What would you expect...it's technically a bar. It's a cool, lowkey, hangout during the day. Met up with a friend for a bite, a couple drinks and to catch up. He was craving some Mexican food he had there prior. Mexican food there was basic, but good, exactly what you would expect at a bar. The thing i would recommend is get it clear about sides and sauces. Make sure they hear ypu when you want sides and make sure you clarify sauce amount or on the side...taste was a B+ though. Cervezas were cold and perfect (tap and bottle). Atmosphere was what you expect for a beach bar...might as well been in Cabo. Servers and bartender were cool and interacted. Recommend if you just want to chill during the week

This is a cool place on second street. It has an outdoor patio and people come here to drink. Service is quick and the food is decent. This time we only went in to get some pickled eggs but next time we will for sure try their burgers. They have a special every day of the week. And on Thursday's they have $6 burgers. Will definitely come back.

2nd time here and once again everything ordered tasted great and arrived in a timely manner. Parking was ez and prices reasonable - staff were friendly and the place is very dog friendly w a dog menu - bravo ! The only blemish was my friend asked for steak fries and they brought her regular ones. The problem was fixed though !!

The hype is real. The hamburger is amazing here. The staff is helpful and friendly. The environment is beach cozy / bar vibe. Entertainment is real here. Noise is loud because everyone having a good time. Food: it takes a few minutes for your food to arrive. But it's worth the wait. Don't worry. Location: corner of the busy street. Parking might be a challenge. You can park on the street or pay-parking area. Definitely a spot to stop on in.

Ajah was the best server EVER!! So attentive and quick with our needs. Gave great food recommendations as well. Definitely coming back for her amazing energy and warm charisma.

First time here. Week day during the day and parking was so hard to find so can't imagine what a weekend night would be like. Be prepared to walk! Otherwise great bar, the bartender, young black woman, was an absolute blast! She was so friendly! Tons of suggestions on drinks and restaurants in the area, very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend and return. Fun atmosphere and clean!

This bar is popping on the weekend! Vibes vibes vibes. everywhere! The drinks were good! Weren't too strong! Even though it was super packed when we went on a Saturday night, we didn't struggle much on getting drinks! So many other nearby bars to hop too!

Service was fine and friendly. Food was basically.......terrible! Pastrami sandwich and mango habanero wings were pretty discussing. They were old, mango only no habanero at all. Beer was almost cold. This is a bar and for some reason they serve food. Maybe when you have been drinking for a few hours the food may taste better. TIP: don't eat here sober!

I had the breakfast burrito with carnitas. It was excellent! The tortilla was grilled which was great. Service was very good as well. There were plenty of tvs with a variety of sports playing, which is what brought me in. The iced tea was served in a plastic cup and tasted kinda off, but overall, everything was good!

This is one of my favorite places to come for sports night and fight nights in Belmont Shore. It has amazing energy, great food, and supreme beverages for awesome prices that won't break the bank! The customers are always friendly. I never leave without meeting a new person. They have a dog friendly patio as well so make sure to bring your hands and be prepared to pet good boys and good girls! The staff is always busy and running around and I enjoy the free gifts that DOGZ gives. They have so many televisions for your viewing pleasure so no matter where you sit you will have a good view of a television. Thanks for being awesome!

I was surprised with a visit to Dogz for my birthday! I'm a vegetarian and loved that this place had cold drinks and even veggie dogs for me! To top it off they even have a doggo menu! We ordered lemon pepper wings, a veggie dog with bell peppers, onions, habenero, and cream cheese with 2 cocktails! It was a Wednesday so they have a wings special and a steak dinner special. The place was busy busy and I definitely would love to come back here for another veggie dog!

I love this spot! It is great for a drink and snack with my pup. The food is great and service treats you like family.

Best place around to pop in for happy hour hands down. Food and drinks are always top notch and the patio is great for people watching. Bartenders know their stuff if you're feeling like something off the cuff. My favorite dish is the taco plate- chicken with crunchy flour tortillas.

Ajah is an amazing server. She is very attentive and punctual with her guests. The food was very satisfying, and the atmosphere is very chill and welcoming.

I'm giving this 3.5 stars... We went to eat at our favorite restaurant on 2nd St. today but it was closed due to plumbing issues. We needed somewhere else to go and we've talked about this place recently so we gave it a go. For starters, the beer was ICE cold and delicious. *chefs kiss* The only way to drink beer! The restaurant/bar set up was kinda cool. Several TVs with sports on. They have all sorts of items on their menu; from hot dogs to breakfast to Mexican to burgers & sandwiches. There is also a different daily deal Monday through Friday! My husband got the $5 burger special that is on Thursdays and I went for a breakfast burrito. He said the burger was fine, just like a grilled burger. Nothing super special. It came with a side of chips. My burrito was alright. Not terrible but not amazing. (I'm still searching for *my* favorite breakfast burrito...) I will go back. Particularly on a Monday or Wednesday for those daily specials.

I lived close to 2nd St. for two years in Belmont Heights and we always went to Dogz! This is why, whenever I visit I always come here, they love dogs, and everybody is super cool, the servers are awesome and the food is so good and giant portions for a really really good price! Oh, and did I mention all the cute dogs that are always there !

Was a fan for years, since it opened, even came back after it burned and flooded. I was in town from SD for mothers day and of all the places on 2nd street in Belmont shores I decided here because it was my go to spot for a game and a drink and sweet potato tots, so yummy. So I ordered sweet potato tots as noted on the menu and Sweet potato waffle fries came and the bartender says yeah that's what I said those are our tots !! WTF? I couldn't stand them, a far cry from tots. They were taken of the bill. I had a beer and then decided on a Mexican mule and which I ordered not too sweet so the glass is filled to the top with lime juice and it sucks too. The bartender was nice but only paid attention when my beer glass was empty. After a couple of sips of the mule I decided NOPE. I didn't tell the bartender because at this point I'm embarrassed for HER!!! I don't think I'll ever come back. Bummed to say it but it's likely gonna have to be!!

Staff is friendly and attentive, best steak fries around, food is well above par. It's a bar though so if you don't like loud places I would look elsewhere

We come for steak night a lot but it gets packed between 5pm and 7pm on Wednesday's when you can bring your own steaks to cook for free (purchase sides, drinks, apps) Burgers great esp for kids and they have an extensive kids menu that the kids enjoy. They also have menus for dogs. Stayed in Long Beach overnight and ate here both days. Our first visit was so amazing we came back the next day. The first day I had the nachos and my boyfriend had wings--both were amazing. The nachos had shredded chicken and the portion was huge. We also got an order of steak fries that had seasoned salt on them. Great ranch for dipping, unlike the hidden valley ranch. The next day we both got burgers (pictured) with skinny fries. We opted to add avocado, cheese, and bacon which was the best decision I've ever made. The burger made me feel like I was at a summer BBQ with homemade burgers. I also love the atmosphere--fun and dog friendly people! Mary H. was the best waitress--she was quick, made great food recommendations, and made sure our never empty. They also have food for the dogs. If I leaved in Long Beach, I would probably be here every weekend for sports and the great food. I am very picky about food and I must say this place has the best American cuisine I've had in a long time. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Long Beach.

Music is way too loud to enjoy or have a conversation with anyone. It makes your ears ring so bad I had to leave. I've been here multiple times and it's the same every time. I am also someone who listens to loud music so I'm not super sensitive to it...that's just how loud it is.

Jack is the best bartender dogz has ever seen. That guy knows how to make margaritas, mexican mules, mexican candy shot, he's all you need to have a 10/10 night.

This place is Horrible for pets. Security people are horrible and I have a dog that is a service animal, and he asked me for documentation which is illegal. And he didn't let my dog in. Horrible place and horrible service

Truly the only reason I find myself coming back to Dogz weekly is JACK!! He is a great bartender and makes great drinks. Who doesn't love a guy who can kickflip. Dope guy 100/10

As an LB local I'm always looking for a fun place with great food and good convo. This place does not disappoint! The bartender Jack took great care of me and got me my beer fast and cold. The place has a lot of tv's with loud sound, perfect to watch the game. Must check it out if you're in the Belmont area!

I literally just left this facility and I can tell you I never plan to come back. I sat at a table by the entrance and was told that a waitress would be out shortly. After 10 minutes no one came to see us. I went up to bar hoping to order and I was told they couldn't help despite me telling them no one had come to see us. Waited another 10 minutes and no help. What a terrible way to service potential customers. I can't imagine the horrible service I would have received if I had actually ordered.

I know a thing or two about hot wings and these are pretty good hot wings. They were made just right. I have yet to try a dog at this place. So far I'm a fan of their carnitas tacos with habanero salsa and the hot wings. Last night we ordered hot wings and stake fries to go and dogz came through! Pretty crispy wings made right! The tacos have a lot of meat almost a two in one taco and juicy!

Kris reached out to me immediately and really made me feel validated. Based on his response, I could tell that what happened would be taken seriously and not happen again in the future. He also fixed my cc charges. Would come back just because of this type of management. Thank you, Kris!

My female friend was rammed out of the bar by a security guard. She was left with red marks all over her chest near her neck. Within minutes a different security guard ran and started punching some guys in the face (their Yelp review is attached). I'm across the bar and I see my friend and a security guard in a heated conversation. Next thing I know he's attacking her out of the club. No one did anything. Obviously feeling enraged but also recognizing this idiot's temper, I collectedly go tell him "hey that was my friend you just thew out of the club. Can you tell me what happened?" should have known he wouldn't have the capacity to back up his actions. He basically told me to fuck off and when I asked if this was always his energy he was like "yeah. it is". Gross. I just thought of everyone who has had to and will have to interact with this guy. When you have guards with weak egos and superiority complexes, it's hard to tell whether they're there to guard the place or just pick fights with people to stimulate their pathetic lives. Fuck them
