This is a small place, not for sitting down (there's only 1 table for standing); it's mainly a to-go place. There's a British flag hanging over the doorway, and you can see the counter full of pastries from the sidewalk. I swear this place never closes. We passed by at various hours - 7AM, 11PM, etc, and it was always open!
I would give four stars for the price alone. I ordered 3 pastries, and it was only about 4 euros. However, the issue was the taste. I ordered a spinach and ham pastry, which I did not like. It was quite bland, and I only took a couple of bites and threw away the rest. For this, I only give 3 stars. I also ordered a braid of dough and sugar, and this was good. I think the best thing I ate of the three, the palmier was the best, but it's hard to mess that up.
Service was pretty fast. You may think the line is near the top of the steps, but by the time I finished ordering, it only took about 5 minutes. The lady that helped me spoke a bit of English, and that helped. I do wish their counter wasn't so tall though, as it's difficult to hand over money and reach for the pastries. Short people problems! =D
