Go to Branson, Missouri, for the Dinner Theater, Stay for the Real Show - Eater

"Dolly Parton’s Stampede, the crown jewel of Branson, Missouri’s thriving dinner theater scene, showcases the '32 magnificent horses' that are the backbone of the show. The Stampede is proof that Branson is both a wholesome destination for good, clean, Christian fun in the Ozark Mountains and a haven for aging white baby boomers. No alcohol is served, but mocktails are available, and the crowd is divided into distinct camps cheering for their own team of actors." - Amy McCarthy

When she says 'the shows,' Gold is referring to Branson’s historic 76 Country Boulevard, lined with theaters, a Wild West-style Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction and Silver Dollar City, an 1800s-themed amusement park regularly featuring live music." - Marguerite Imbert

What an amazing evening! We went with our children and grandchildren (ages 1-8) and everyone had a great time! We got there around 4:30 for the 5:30 show. They have you enter through the gift shop and then to a bar area that you can listen to a fun music group. It was good but could have arrived a little later with the younger children and been fine. You do get to walk by all of the horses and the kids loved seeing them. Once entering the venue things move along at a good pace. The food was fantastic and plentiful. The entertainment was amazing. All of the animals, singing, dancing and butterfly show kept us all entertained. The kids were captivated! We would highly recommend this to families!!!!

Google
Great show from start to finish. I loved every part of it. We had VIP so we got to meet a performer before the show and our seats were amazing. It's definitely a family friendly show. It was funny, beautiful, and entertaining. My only complaint would be that they only give you like a half a scoop of mashed potatoes. Lol that's a petty compliment especially since the food was really good.

Google
If you like horses and country, this is your place. This isn’t for everyone, but younger kids would have a blast. The servers were amazing. Generally, you will need a doggy bag due to the amount of food. We did have great seats for the event. This isn’t my cup of tea, but if you like the country experience, this is a good place for you to check out.

Google
Extremely overpriced and overrated. We were so excited to go, but it wasn't all that we had heard. Parts of the show were kind of lame. My wife loved the butterfly part of the show, especially the horses. They need some other type of non-sweet drink except water at the price you pay.

Google
We had a wonderful time at the show last night (6/16), we debated going but this was worth it. We did VIP which was nice but not necessary, all the seats in the arena were great. Everyone was very friendly, service was phenomenal. Bring cash to tip servers, we never carry cash and there wasn't a check at the end for me to add a tip to, I feel horrible that I had nothing to leave our server, she was so wonderful!

Me, my wife, and in-laws recently visited. We all had a wonderful time. The show was great. Cocktails were tasty. Dinner was good. It wasn't gourmet but we left very full. Service was fantastic as well.

The show was fantastic & pre show was fun. The service was great. The employees were friendly & helpful. Our server Sam was terrific! An all around great family activity. Fun for all ages!🦋🦋

Our family had an amazing time at the show! Our 4-year-old was absolutely captivated by the performance, making it a truly memorable experience for all of us. The food was enjoyable and met our expectations, while the service was both swift and attentive. The location proved to be excellent as well. One suggestion for improvement would be the addition of EV chargers in the parking lot, providing greater convenience for guests. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning for more magical moments.

Yelp
First time for us and we didn't know exactly what to expect but we weren't disappointed! We got hung up at Silver Dollar City waiting on a package so missed the pre-show activities. We had a moderate wait before getting seated but not at all unreasonable. Our seats were at the very end and in retrospect the best seats are likely in the middle. That said we got to see everything and the show moves fast. Dinner is served in courses as the show progresses and I found it surprisingly good. It's doubtful you'll go home hungry as they provide doggy bags for everyone. I know we used ours. The servers work hard and it is evident. Great attitudes and very friendly all around. There were lots of acts ranging from horses to aerial and everything in between. All very entertaining and fun for youngsters to oldsters! I highly recommend Dolly Parton's Stampede for everyone.

Yelp
Earlier in December I went to Medieval Times in Scottsdale, Arizona and then the day after Christmas I went to Dolly Parton's Stampede. They're both dinner shows and I had to request the celiac meal for both. Prior to the show, my husband and I walked around to check out the horses and the dovecote. They have quite a lot of very beautiful animals in this show and it was nice to see them up close before showtime. After we went inside, my husband got the pre-ordered boot cup with a non-alcoholic slushie as part of the package we bought. I thought the souvenir cup looked really cheap. It's just a tiny, white, plastic boot. I would not repurchase that. The preshow was amazing with 2 brothers and a cousin? Uncle? Playing an upright bass, a banjo and a guitar. Loved it. Highlight of the day. When we found our seats, the chairs are really crammed in together and of course a couple comes in to sit next to us in our row with a huge diaper bag because they had twin babies (probably about 10 months old) that they were going to have be lap children. It was impossible for 4 people to cram in to two tiny seats. Luckily our waiter saw how cramped we all were and moved them to the next section that was empty so they could spread out. He also gave them a third meal so the kids didn't muck up their parents' plate. There needs to be a rule that there are no lap children. Everyone needs a seat. There is no way a baby carrier can even fit in. It should be 1 soul = 1 seat. It's too cramped otherwise. We would have been miserable if the row next to us hadn't been completely empty so that family could move. As someone with celiac disease, I was very disappointed with the food. Instead of the soup, the gluten-free substitution was steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots with zero seasoning. Who wants to eat this? Nobody. I would rather have nothing than have a steaming pile of unseasoned fart vegetables. I was also given a nasty, cold Udi's roll. I asked if they had a pat of butter or anything I could put on the roll or vegetables. NOPE! Not an option - only salt, pepper or bbq sauce. The chicken was meh tasting and I ended up taking it home. I also had mashed potatoes and pulled pork. Again, no toppings and finally an Udi's snickerdoodle cookie. I hated the food honestly. Can someone without celiac disease try what they serve celiacs and then decide if they'd be satisfied with that meal? The show was fine. It was Christmas themed. I didn't like that no video was allowed but photos without flash are allowed. No other dinner show that I've been to has that rule. Even though I have a new camera, low light action shots just don't turn out great compared to a video clip. I don't know why the rule can't be "video clips are allowed but please don't film the whole show or more than a minute or two at a time." Overall, I enjoyed the preshow a ton. I loved seeing the horses and birds. I liked the regular show enough, including the ice skating and camels that came out as part of the nativity play. I also loved the fire show rider act. I just didn't like the cramped seating, the food and the no video policy. With a few tweaks, it would greatly improve the experience. Visited: December 26, 2024.

Yelp
Overall a super fun experience! Arrive around an hour early for the pre-show with a fun bluegrass band. Also a great opportunity to browse the gift shop without a huge crowd. The wait staff in the theatre work their tails off and are so friendly and accommodating. I have braces, so I can't eat corn on the cob, and our waiter was more than happy to bring me the bowl of steamed veggies that vegetarian folks also get! Get the apple turnover for dessert- you won't regret it. The chocolate coconut cake did not look nearly as good. The only complaint my party had was portion sizes, but also, you get a whole small chicken or hen, so sides I guess can be smaller. I was still full by the end of it.

Yelp
Personally, we enjoy opportunities to bundle dinner and a show. If you've never experienced "rodeo" it's not a rodeo, but this features similar enough features to experience what rodeos are sort of like. The meal was pretty good. You start with a bowl of creamy vegetable soup. It's delicious. Next, you'll get a biscuit, and a whole entire Hen or Chicken?? I can't remember what they called it. I could not figure out how to eat the whole Hen? Chicken? But this was not an issue, as far as food waste, bc they have "doggy bags" for the leftovers. Hubs notes the "bird" was excellent as his midnight snack, too. You also get a small (like smallll) helping of pulled pork, a smallll scoop of roasted potatoes (so good) and a piece of corn on the Cobb. For dessert, we were offered an apple turnover vs chocolate coconut cake. Trust me what I say: go with the turnover. Everyone around me, who ordered the chocolate coconut cake, regretted it, fully. Roughly 9 of us (in my vicinity) threw our dessert away and tried to laugh it off as a group of strangers - but there was an obvious disgust with the cake. It was soooo..... not good. Drink wise, you drink from a mason jar with unlimited refills of lemonade, tea, sweet tea, or water. There is a bar for those who want an adult beverage to go along with the dinner and show. You can order from the bar from your phone at any point during the show. Not sure if there was a last call. Only ordered one beer. The show isn't very long. But it's not too short, either. So that's good for those with shorter attention spans. There were ample amounts of opportunities for participation from the crowd, which seemed to get the audience a lot more into the show itself. The gift shop is huge. Before and after the show, you can walk by the stables and get a close look at the horses. Overall, I would recommend that everybody go see the show at-least once. Just make sure you order the right dessert.

Yelp
Whole family went tot he stampede and it did not disappoint. We got there about 4 for the 530 show. The front desk lady got us our tickets and gave us the scoop of best way to approach the night. Her name was Abigail and she answered all my silly questions with a smile and added to them. I really was delighted as my father in law has some mobility issues and with the heat we wanted to make it the best experience for him. She really helped us conquer this and he had a blast. The show doors open about 430-445 and you go into the salon for some pre show beverage while 3 gents played some bluegrass for you. They have some checkers and arcade games. We had a family checkers match while we jammed to the blue grass. At about 5-515 we were herded into the main coral! My family was in section b2 for the north! Great seats and section. Our server was fantastic!!!!! The show was a blast everyone in the family enjoyed it. The stunts they pulled on the horses had me in awh! This was the best show we saw in Branson on our trip.

Yelp
It is busy as you pull into the parking lot, so it might take a while to get to the back parking area. Once you parked, you walk by all the horse stalls and can check out the horses as you make your way to the entrance. Once inside, you go through security and grab your tickets. You have the option of a group photo before making your way to the gift shop, bar and waiting area. The bar lines can be long but move fair quickly. You do have to buy a souvenir cup for your drink, they are a bit pricey. Once they open the doors, it will be a bit to get to your seats. Once seated the service is quick and efficient. The show does start promptly on time. This is our 2nd visit to this location and it is a well oiled machine of efficiency. The wait staff and bartenders are all friendly and the show is fun. It was cool to see the holiday show, I liked all the Christmas music, decorations, ice skating and fun. We love all the horses and trick riding. You will enjoy it even with the occasional cheesiness.

Yelp
We had a good time at the show. If you haven't done a horse-related dinner show before, you'll enjoy it. Or if you have and love them. But I have done them a lot and while I enjoyed it, parts were a little boring to me. This one has a very patriotic theme. It's a Dolly show, but her only appearance in it are them mentioning her a couple of times and playing her songs. One snafu I had, and this may have just been our waiter, was that I was told they don't have any vegetarian options instead of the chicken. They serve the chicken whole, and I don't eat things off the bone, so I had to skip that course. But later I see their brochure says they have vegetarian options. So ask ahead to be sure.

George G.

Yelp
Nope the show was boring boring boring and stupid talent food was cold and greasy Compared to Vegas quality this lacks dollys stamp of approval she probably never ate here! Even with free tickets they couldn't pay me for the time we lost

1 2.

Yelp
Very anti 2A. You are notified that you will be searched upon entry and you are required to forfeit exercise of your 2nd amendment civil right as a condition of entry. They do not appear to have more than 2 unarmed security employees at the entrance, which leaves a building full of verified unarmed people packed into close quarters. It's best to avoid this business until they make a change to this short sighted and dangerous policy. If you are a self defense minded individual and you take the responsibility of self preservation and preservation of the welfare of your family into your own hands, bear in mind that this business will not allow you to do so on your own terms.

Yelp
We were spending our Thanksgiving in Branson and decided to have our Thanksgiving diner at the Dolly Parton Stampede. There is an ample amount of parking available, but it was kind of tight because we arrived as the show before ours was letting out. The parking lot was crazy. Checking in was very easy. You pick up your tickets and check in at the desk and then they send you to take souvenir photos. You can skip the photo. If you plan on buying the photo, I would recommend waiting to you get home and get it directly from Magic Memories. They wanted to charge me $60 for my photos at the theater. I got the digital downloads for $30 online. If you had been to Medieval Times, Pirates Dinner Show, or anything similar, than you know the set up of this one. They put all the guest in a waiting area with drinks and music for pre-show activities. It is a party like atmosphere. I took advantage of some of the adult beverages from the bar. All of their drinks are served in a souvenir cup. Once they are ready to let you in the arena, a dinner bell is rang and then the real stampede begins. We had really good seats and did not do the VIP upgrade to get them. We choose to sit on the North side. We were at the Christmas show, so we were on Team North Pole. You can order booze and merchandise from your seat using a QR code. I found that buying one of the flags was a waste. The show as entertaining and very interactive. There is limited audience participation where they went on the area floor and participated in events. As I mentioned, the show was the Christmas version. So, the first half of the show had a Christmas theme to it with scenes about glow toys and a really cool nativity scene that has live animals and a dove that is trained to fly to the suspended angel. There was also some horse riding exhibitions. You will have a heavy scent of gas and horse. We then at dinner, which consisted of a Cornish hen, potato skin, soup, corn on the cob, and an apple turnover. They provide doggie bags for those that cannot finish their meals. My kids, who do not normally eat much, really liked their meal. The completion part of the show begins. The South won the competition during my diner. After the show the horse riders line the walls, where kids and other visitors can pet the horses and interact with the actors. You exit through the gift shop. I found the show entertaining enough. My littles were really into it. I would recommend checking this show out. It is good for all ages, has some decent chow and friendly staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Husband and I went to the Stampede on Nov. 1st! Little did we know, thats when they start the Christmas special. While we weren't in the Christmas spirit yet, we still enjoyed it. Great food, great service and an interactive entertainment show.

Yelp
I have been to many of Dolly's productions in TN and I am sorry to say this was not anywhere as good. It was a small venue and the show changed last year. The food, starting with cold soup was so disappointing, the one thing we love much. The biscuit was cold, no butter or jam or honey. I couldn't swallow it because it was so dry. The Cornish Hen, semi-warm, as was the entire meal. Best part was the pulled pork with sauce although cold. Dessert is our favorite, most times, but this time the Apple Turnover was ice cold. For the price the show and dinner was very expensive for 3 adults and 1 under 3. We like the one in TN better. I will say the servicers and photographers were wonderful. Everyone was so courteous.

Yelp
Dolly Parton's Stampede was such a fun night out and excellent value for money. The food was very good, and the entertainment was nice. The evening moves very quickly and efficiently, starting with viewing the horses in their stables, some preshow singing, and the main event. In all it took about 2 1/2 hours for the entire experience, which was the perfect amount of time to keep me entertained and full.

Yelp
Dolly Parton is literally on my bucket list ! I want to do anything she's involved with ! Even if she's not gonna be here, just put her name as the theme and I am there ! Put your favorite country singer and add horses equals the best time of your life ! There's no bad seat in the House ! You will have to take the north or the south. We were the southside which I was really happy about because red is my favorite color. For the best experience get there early so you have time to explore. Get to know the horses the birds and if you're lucky maybe a little pig . Know when you see any person walking in the back of the barn, those will be Your main entertainers . Everybody is so friendly and nice ! After getting to know all the animals start making your way to the front. It feels like you're walking into her house. Be prepared to take a picture after passing the living room that will be sold to you for $40 . Go ahead and buy that because it's a once in a lifetime experience. Next walk through the gift store and go get a drink , Because it sure is hot outside ! Luckily, when we got our tickets, we opted for souvenir boot Which comes with one nonalcoholic slushy, for $5 . Grab some fresh popcorn and take a seat for the first round of entertainment is right about to start. Three brother trio of some Bluegrass music . We sat in the perfect spot ! They had a stand right next to us . We were able to chitchat with them for a bit . Very talented Family . After about seven songs, the big arena opens . Take your souvenir cups and skedaddle on yonder . Get ready for the best time of your life ! When I tell you that I cried about four times, I am not lying. It is the most patriotic experience. Worth every single penny!!! I'm from California and I see my friends and family spending so much money on this weekend trips to Disneyland /Disney World thinking that's the only family fun that there is . That's just not true . Book fly to Branson Missouri ! Make sure and start right at the Dolly Parton stampede !!! So much family entertainment down this whole strip of things to do ! For your next family trip to Branson, Missouri . Make your first stop at the local visiting center and book all your Entertainment for the rest of the week ! True all American family fun! #DollyPartonStampede #Branson,Missouri #PatrioticFun #WeLoveAmerica #ILoveHorses #BestFriendBucketList #JennaAndCrystal

Yelp
I would say this is the best show in Branson! From visiting the horses in the stables, to the pre show fiddle band, to the arena show and dinner, everything was great. Food was delicious and 5 star service during the show. So much talent from the actors to the animals all involved. I would recommend this show if you have never been.

Yelp
THIS WAS AWESOME!!! Start out with the low point- I think our sever was new. She was working but had quite a bit of help from nearby servers. The rest was seriously fantastic!! We had tons of food and the show was non stop entertainment! Our kids (13&10) couldn't stop talking about the show!! We did see the Christmas one and it's overtly traditional Christmas and we loved it. The MC is great! Funny and always kept things moving. The performers were very talented. Trick riding, acrobatics, comedy- Thai show had it all!! They have a condiments tray with sugar, salt, pepper, wet wipes. Dinner came out over the course of the show but our server never lingered so we didn't miss anything we'll definitely go back!
google avatar

Lizzy O.

Yelp
Entertaining dinner show with amazing horsemanship! The abundance of the meal throughout the show will leave you satisfied! It was also the most efficient way to serve a meal to so many people at once. Our server was attentive throughout the meal and the food tasted good which was a plus. :) It's also nice that they have a constant mist in the arena to keep the dust to a minimum. PS-If you come early and stay late you can see the horses in the stables. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Worth every penny! The performance, the food was top notch. Was a little "ify" at first. Didn't know what to expect at first. Very enjoyable and entertaining. Those servers, UNBELIEVABLE! Constantly on the move, refilling your glasses and when it came to service the food, came out hot as expected. I know we tipped, just hoped everyone else did. They deserved it

Yelp
Good service great pepole and great show and exsprince and love the food and animals and profmears

Yelp
We saw the show on Thanksgiving day. We spent $500 for a family of 5 and fully expected a feast. we left hungry which was a total disappointment. We splurged for VIP thinking we would get special treatment. total waste of money!! the meet and greet was two random riders who came and said hi and we had to wait our turn to seat with everyone else. not worth it AT ALL. I had very low expectations and they were not even met. I hope more people speak out and are honest about this experience. too many people are ok with over paying for mediocre services. blows my mind!!!!

Yelp
Amazing show! Very family friendly and a good pace n variety of entertainment. Don't eat before you go. You'll be stuffed and the food is delicious! Very nice venue and extremely efficient service and seating. You can even see the horses from the show before you enter. A definite must-see.
google avatar

Yelp
CHRISTMAS SHOW: This is two straight hours of very fun entertainment! Yes, it's pricey, but you get stellar service, plenty of food and many memorable family moments. Jumping through fire hoops. Chickens, goats, dogs, camels, pigs, a donkey, a dove, and plenty of horses!! Jesus glorified. Magic show. Family friendly. Laughter. Great Disney World-level service. Pre-entertainment with snacks and drinks for purchase. Separate professional family photos available if you'd like. Races. Competition between the NORTH side vs the SOUTH side. Horse riding tricks. Hilarious MCs. Just all around, super fun!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent! The pre-show was entertaining and once we got inside the main arena, it was awesome! The food was amazing and so much of it! Quick friendly staff and would do it again!
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
We come to Branson every few years and we always come to this dinner show, as it is my favorite. The food is great, the show is excellent and the service is stellar. We always have a blast! Tonight, our server, Judah, was on top of it! We got enough food to eat well tomorrow, also! Won't remove stars for it, but was super disappointed to see the pre-show is animatronics...very few people even watched it. I also have to say, I hate how close they pack the venue...it's uncomfortable for the cost.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
Super energetic and fun show! We had a great time and the food was great, I would especially recommend the show to anybody with kids! It's not a great date night spot but is a good family or visiting folks night out. Standing around waiting to get into the show was a bit much, super crowded and a little chaotic! There are some tables with giant checkers games if you're lucky enough to get one, otherwise it's standing room only. Once you're seated, the show begins quickly and it's non-stop until the end! Horses, skits, contests, comedy, magic and more, it's got it all!! The staff is phenomenal! Very friendly and quick, they'll do anything they can to ensure you have a good time. The food was actually pretty darned good too for being mass produced and served! A little cheesy at times and no adult beverages took it down a star for me, otherwise I do recommend the show, it was very entertaining!
google avatar

Juls B.

Yelp
Oh man was I wrong about this but I am still glad I went. This show was entertaining and the food was pretty good. For the price $65 I think you get what you pay for. Loved the horses and the cowboys and cowgirls! This was the best part for me and my family who all agree wished there was more horses and less everything else. Throwing toilet seats and chasing chickens were not our idea of entertainment but it is what it is. Loved the friendly and hard working server I think was Amanda? Everyone seems to enjoy working there and made it a pleasant experience. Nevertheless this is a fun thing to do when in Branson.
google avatar

Maddox M.

Yelp
They had the best biscuits and vegetable soup I've ever had! The show was a blast! grandpa liked the pig race!

Gabriel W.

Yelp
This venue is amazing and the show is very well done. I took my 4 friends here and the pricing definitely was not cheap at $70.00 a person when I booked 1.5 months in advance (pricing showed $81.00 during the week of the show). I got charged $55.00 ($14/ticket) of tax / convenience fee which I am unsure what that covers. The show itself was entertaining and the emcee was great. I really appreciated the rivalry between the sides and I wished it was more intertwined in the show. The acrobats were amazing. The food was pretty good considering the work for all of us to be served simultaneously. I enjoyed the vegetable soup a lot and also liked the roasted chicken. Great performance. Had a little sticker shock on the pricing, but it's worth it

Frank D.

Yelp
From the entertainment/pre show to the service starting out with plenty of drinks it was fast moving and fun, the food was great and they had you watching something all the time. Fast paced and entertaining.

Lori C.

Yelp
Very good show. The food isn't very good but we went to see the show knowing the food wasn't good. I didn't like trying to eat while smelling the horses. I think some places should just let it be a show with no food. The show itself is definitely worth seeing.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
What a fantastic night! The show was amazing, the talent of the performers is top notch, and we absolutely loved the doggy and lil pig performers too! The food portions were very generous and we enjoyed getting into the spirit of the evening by eating with our hands (forks are provided too). The soup was really as good as they say, it was the best part of the meal. Don't feel like you have to finish it all, take home bags are provided. The energy and fun of this evening is one of the highlights of our trip to Branson. Special thanks to our waitress Andrea, she was delightful.

Yelp
If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable dinner show in Branson, look no further. The show itself, is five star. There are horses and riders that are amazingly talented, several top-notch musical numbers, the MC and his comic relief sidekick are very good, and there is a part of the show with sheep, goats, and even camels. The show does have a religious theme, but it is presented in a way that it does not feel like being in church. The food was pretty good overall, especially when considering the volume of food that is served during the show. The meal started with a delicious homemade biscuit, followed by the signature creamy vegetable soup, which was outstanding. The main course was a Cornish game hen. The flavor was spot on, but the meat was very dry. The chunk of baked potato had a nice crisp on it, but was dry as well. The hickory smoked BBQ pork loin was very good. The corn on the cob was average at best as was the apple turnover desert. I left very full and even though it wasn't the best meal I have ever had; it was still fine to eat as I watched an amazing show.

Yelp
This is a great way to spend an evening with the family! The presentation is flawless, and the service is a 10+! The servers work their hearts out. Everything is brought out separately-they indicate your drinks by bending your ticket so they don't have to keep asking what you ordered. Refills are given before you can run out. First you get a bowl of delicious creamy vegetable soup. No spoons! Just drink it out of the bowl! You then get a yummy biscuit, a Cornish hen, half of a baked potato, and sweet corn. For dessert you get an apple turnover that is so flaky it melts! The Cornish hen was pretty dry-I didn't eat most of it. Everything else was good. Bring some salt with you and enjoy a great time. Great experience if you've never been!

Yelp
After thinking about it and as I didn't receive an apology from supervisor or any management I feel like it's not a place that I will go again. Sending a letter to Miss Parton explaining why this is on yelp

Yelp
Wonderful show. It was definitely worth the money We went there early (we have came around an hour before the show)and saw the pre-show it was three gentlemen singing with a banjo, a violin and a guitar 10 out of 10 would love to see it. We got a drink and some popcorn before the show. It was a little overpriced, but it was good because we didn't eat anything before we came. And you should come, hungry they had competitions acrobats, horse performers and dancing. Love the western flare to it with a little bit of history and a little bit of competition. There are two sides north and south south is what we were on. And of course, we won the competition. I love the show and I love that they put tidbits of Dolly in it. Definitely do if you're in Branson. Just a quick tip though bring cash tip for your waiter!!!

Yelp
The best show and the food is really tasty! Me and family love this place so much we drive from Louisiana just to come here. You get more food than you can eat, a whole backed chicken, pork loin, a corn on the cob, a half of baked potato a bowl of damn good cream of veggie soup, a buttered biscuit, hot apple turn over and all the soda pop, iced tea and coffee you can drink.

Yelp
10 out of 10 would recommend!! The whole operation is very well thought out and executed. The whole evening was just perfect. Loved the show . It kept our interest the whole time , with a wide variety of different performances. The food was quite satisfying, - the servers were hustling and did a great job !!We loved it all, especially loved the beautifully done live nativity . Completely set the tone for Christmas,

Yelp
We loved the show and the food! We really did not like having to find the place to pick up the tickets! The man said he worked for Wyndem and tried to convince us to come to a presentation the next day at their hotel. It was to sell us a time share. Of course we did not go!! Why can they not email the tickets to you when you pay! The Ark Encointer emailed our tickets immediately when I paid!

Yelp
If you enjoy watching horses and their riders perform, this place is for you. I recommend getting a seat in the middle level. There's really not a bad seat in the house, but the middle level, you will be close to the action, but not close enough to be bothered by the dust. I am astounded by how organized this establishment is. It starts with the way the arena is arranged. It's easy to get a massive crowd to their seats quickly comfortably. There's ample room behind the chairs to move around with ease. That space allows servers to distribute food and beverages quickly. The menu was a whole small chicken, cream of vegetable soup, a biscuit, a slice of pork loin, corn on the cob, half a baked potato, and an apple turnover. They come out with huge pans and serve each dish one at a time. They're extremely organized in that way. The Apple turnover was delicious. We both ate our turnovers, biscuits, soup, and corn. The rest was extremely dry and difficult to eat with just a fork. I would have liked having a knife. We took a few bites of the chicken but it was too dry and tasteless to keep working at it with just a fork. If you are willing to use your hands to break the chicken apart, you can get to more moist meat. They passed out large wet clothes for that purpose. They also passed out doggie bags and wet clothes to everyone. We used the chicken for linguine pesto the next day and it was quite good. I enjoyed watching the children have fun. They encourage audience participation and children really enjoyed that. It certainly isn't a show where children have to sit and be quiet. The stampede part was the audience stomping. They had contests between the North Pole and South Pole to see which side could make the most noise. When the announcer shouted, "Stampede!" the audience started stomping. The horse performances were impressive, but my favorite acts were the dog and pig shows. They said their canine stars were rescue dogs. They looked happy doing their acts. If you have children or enjoy watching horses perform, This show is a must. Don't worry about parking, there's a huge parking lot in back. If you park in the back, you get to walk past the equine stars.

Yelp
This was our first time to the Stampede. It was a really good show. They had a warmup reshot in which three guys came out to sing country songs. We then went into the show area where they had the arena. They then began serving dinner. They started with a potato soup. Then they came out with chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, and potato's. Dolly's would have gotten 5 stars if the food was better. The chicken was overcooked and the potatoes were dry. Overall, it was a pretty good experience and I would recommend it.

Yelp
This is an ok show but DO NOT get VIP. It's extra money but NOTHING special other than getting there early to sit around and wait. Trust me it's nothing special and not worth the extra $100. The food wasn't great either, the Cornish hen was Day old food: dry and stale tasting. We mentioned our disatisfaction and we got the famous "sorry for your inconvenience" sorry. That was one BIG disappointment to have Dolly Pardon's name associated with such a ripoff.

Yelp
Excellent.... Arena is similar to that of the knights and king arthurs jousting dinner event, except it has multi animal races. You are geeted by security, an elderly man with a thick accent. Asking me if im packing a fire arm or a machete... a long knife...??? Lol TIP: Dont bring your guns, and knive here. Do bring a sweater...they keep the arena cold From pigs, to birds, buffallo, rescue dogs, humans and if course horses. Teams consisted of red for the North and Blue representing the south. Dinner was eaten by hands, genghis khan or Jabba the Hutt, no utensils on plastic plates, mason jars were used . NO WORRIES, rhey give you a hot , very wet towelette. no unsweetened tea, just southern sweet, diabetes inducing , teeth decaying tea, lemonade and coke...any type of coke.....youll get this if your from the south...hahaha Loved it very Americana, supoorts God, country and first responsders. I do have one knock...as with any type of marketing, they take your picture as a commemorative souviner as you enter the arena. They give you a qr code to preview your picture u just took 4 mins ago...What i dont like is im trying to watch the show and homegirl is trying to sell my 8x10 picture in the dark and blocking my view... I think its tacky . Other than that, it was great!!!

Yelp
Went with family and was able to get tickets last minute. The food was amazing and the show was entertaining. The wait staff really is superb and ensured we enjoyed our dinner and a show.

Yelp
Great show for the holiday season. Performers were excellent horse riders and very talented. Entire show was a very good two-hour experience. Downgrades due too very poor Vegetarian meal offering: rice was okay but so-called Grilled Veggies were poorly steamed. Yuk. Roll, soup and dessert were tasty. Good seating in large venue with outstanding servers. A "must see" event while in Branson.

Yelp
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the evening didn't quite live up to it. I love Dolly and I love Christmas so I figured this would be the highlight of our Branson experience. We got there over an hour early and the parking lot was already filling up. We walked past the beautiful horses in their stalls and entered the unassuming lobby of what looks like a big mansion. You walk down a narrow hallway to a photo op that they will try to sell you later. Then into a holding area where you can buy drinks and play checkers while listening to an animatronic act. When they open up the entrance everyone crowds together up a stairway and into their assigned row. The places are set with an upside down plate, bowl, plastic glass, fork and napkin. The food is served in a very organized but assembly line style. They take your drink orders and come around with pitchers to fill your glasses. The hard working wait staff (dressed as elves in December) then come down your row with a pitcher of soup and fill your bowl with a cream vegetable soup (made with chicken broth) that is mostly liquid, which you drink from your bowl. I think they sell the mix in the gift shop, but I wouldn't recommend it. Next comes a pan of biscuits. They were warm and better than some I've had, but some butter, jam, or honey would be nice. We chose the vegetarian option which was supposed to be Fire Roasted Veggies with Quinoa and Multigrain Rice. It was a very bland but large serving of grains with a few kernels of corn and a couple of beans in it served with a helping of steamed broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. Everyone else got an entire roasted baby chicken. Then came half a potato and half an ear of corn. Salt and pepper? No. Oh and the meat eaters got a slice of pork. Not sure who decided they needed more food. Dessert was a room temperature apple turnover of puff pastry with apple filling. Meh. So the food (no matter what people may have said here) is average at best. I understand they are feeding hundreds of people but they could improve the flavor, if not the presentation. As for the show, which was the Christmas version, it wasn't really that entertaining. I mean it was something to look at or cheer for between bites, but I was hoping for something more exciting. The highlights were definitely the animals, horses, camels, goats, chickens, dogs, pigs, a dove. The nativity scene was nice. The snow was fun. They have some impressive set capabilities. The horse competitions were fine. But, I expected more of everything, more horses, more music, more excitement. The music was mostly pre-recorded. I would have enjoyed a live band or more singing. The comedy was canned and juvenile. The whole thing just lacked energy. I mean this has Dolly Parton's name on it. The show should be big and beautiful and flashy. So should you go? Sure if your expectations are for an average meal while watching an average show. They try, but it seems like they are cutting corners (no horse pun intended).

Yelp
It's a cheat. The show promises horses and amazing stunts and riding. It's mostly bad musical news numbers, flat country comedy. The show itself will lower your IQ about 20 points. The food is oversized chili powered chicken and potatoes. I will say the biscuits were quite good as was the coffee.

Yelp
This is one of THE BEST shows in Branson!! Arrive at least an hour early to see the pre show. Then, doors open for you to enter the stadium. Food was amazing and too much to eat. They provide a doggie bag to take food home. Lots of audience participation and fun competition. So good that I would go again!!

Yelp
This show really packs in allot of entertainment in a short amount of time and small arena! Also, you will not go away hungry! Efficient crowd control system and seating setup. Many animals to enjoy in the show and an excellent emcee. Super kid friendly and family oriented, clean show content. The Skeeter character was a delight. Wait staff is excellent and obviously work very hard for wages / tips. My only complaint is the way you have to order any alcoholic drinks. You can only order one at a time in one transaction on your phone via a QR code (that I never got to work) If you and your partner want a drink....you have to create two separate transactions with credit card info, etc. You could go to the bar but you both have to go since they will only serve you one drink per person. My husband could not get me a drink and himself a drink in one trip. I'm sure this system could be tweaked (since it's relatively new for the DPS venue) for a better outcome or don't serve alcohol at all. Overall and excellent experience.
