Boston Restaurant Openings for Spring 2021 | Eater Boston

"A Turkish-inspired restaurant from chef-owner Yesim Otsuz that draws on Antalya-region techniques; the menu features borek (flaky stuffed pastries), manti (Turkish dumplings), stuffed artichokes and peppers, and tutmac (a yogurt, lentil, and noodle soup); all meat used is halal and the spot is open Wednesday through Monday for indoor dining, takeout, and delivery." - Terrence Doyle

My impression upon walking in was that the atmosphere was comfortable and colorful! They had beautiful Turkish tiles along one of the walls and a self serve water station. I sat inside as it was a hot 90 degree day, and it was nice and cool. I would have sat on the lovely patio had it been 10 degrees cooler. The two women working the front of the house were very sweet and bubbly. I ordered a trio of choose your own cold mezze. I picked stuffed artichoke heart, eggplant salad and hummus. They were all amazing!! I adored the eggplant salad. It was smoky but had piquant red peppers in it that made my mouth tingle in the best way possible, adding a little zing to cut through the smokiness. I also ordered Manti (mini beef dumplings over a sour and garlicky yogurt with spiced oil over the top). It was my first time having this dish and I really enjoyed it. I got pistachio baklava to go. It was a little pricey for just one person, but despite that I can’t wait to come back and try more things from the menu!

I truly believe Turkish cuisine is the best cuisine in the world. Wherever I travel, I always make sure to find and try a Turkish restaurant. This place in Boston exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, thoughtful presentation, warm atmosphere, and above all, cleanliness. The mantı, stuffed grape leaves, and Turkish coffee were especially delicious. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Turkish flavors.

Delightful place! Excellent food and lovely service. Can’t wait to return and try more dishes. Today we had beef shawarma on buttery rice pilaf, a hot side of roasted eggplant, leek falafel and sesame bagel with cheese.

I absolutely loved my visit to Dolma in Brookline! The food was outstanding—I tried the Turkish breakfast, and everything tasted so fresh and authentic. The burek was perfectly flaky and flavorful, and the Turkish coffee had the most wonderful aroma. On top of that, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’m visiting from California, but Dolma has definitely become a must-stop for me whenever I’m in Boston. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Turkish food!

Dolma restaurant has a warm, family-friendly vibe! The salads and tzatziki were absolutely fantastic! While the prices are a bit on the higher side for the main course, you do get a choice of a cold appetizer and I couldn’t resist the beautiful quinoa salad—it was so tempting that I dove in before snapping a pic ! ) I went for the moussaka with ground beef , my husband a beef stew with rice and my son a delicious chicken mushroom wrap!

This place is hidden gem! I believe it could have been more famous if the location was somewhere in North Brookline or downtown Boston. Food, Service and Atmosphere, all is great and welcoming here. For someone who doesn't know well Turkish cuisine, this place surely be a good place to begin with!
