Located in an 18th century chateau, this hotel is tucked into the base of the hills that frame the Luberon valley. The grounds are massive, which include a large lawn that leads away from the main building, ornamental and herb gardens, vineyards, and a pool. ||Family-friendly hotel, which welcomed our one year old son for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (He was asleep by the time dinner rolled around, but he could have joined if he was still awake). They also gave us a winery stuffed animal in our room for him, which he carried with him for the rest of the trip. ||The winery is solid. Not exceptional, but great wine for what it is. We happily purchased some wine to bring home.||The staff was excellent, going so far as to collect our luggage from our car and bring it to our room while we had a tour of the property. This type of service is typical of super luxury properties, but this hotel is far more reasonably priced, so the additional service was a welcome plus. ||If you stay here, you are a bit of a drive from the lavender fields, but you are close to Lourmarin (which is a bit of a tourist haven). The north side of the valley is about 40 minutes away by car, but is worth the drive.

If you are looking for true rest & relaxation this place is for you. The hotel is professionally run with great staff, modern rooms, beautiful terraces and a great heated pool. The adjoining towns of Lourmarin and Cucuron are nice to visit and have great restaurants. The hotel rents E Bikes so we were able to enjoy a morning bike ride through the back paths ending up in Lourmarin for a nice lunch and stroll through town. Can’t say enough good things about Domaine de Fontenille. Very highly Recommended!

I cannot say enough positive things about this property and the staff. We had a magical time here as a family. The food was delicious. The room comfortable and spacious. The hotel is also by far the cleanest property I have ever stayed at.

We had a fantastic stay at La Domaine du Fontenille, perfectly located in the heart of Provence. The hotel is elegant yet relaxed, with spacious rooms. The service was superb across the board, from the warm welcome at reception to the attentive team at the restaurant. Speaking of which, the on-site Michelin-starred restaurant was a real highlight — beautifully crafted dishes made entirely from ingredients grown in their own gardens. We were lucky to be there over Easter and their Easter brunch was absolutely outstanding. We also enjoyed their excellent wines and spent relaxing afternoons by the serene pool area. This is a place that truly captures the spirit of Provence, and we’re already looking forward to returning

Environment- The terrace where we dined at was very well maintained with a beautiful view. After dinner, people can stroll around the small garden and vineyard area just to soak in the environment.||||Staff- the staff members were very helpful. One of our travel adapters wasn't working. One of the male staff greeted us at the door and offered to take our luggage to our room. The hotel staff lent us one when we asked.||||Food- The salad that we had for dinner contained ingredients that were very fresh. We had breakfast buffet in the morning. There were fly repellent fans to shoo away the flies from resting on the food. It would be better if more were used.

Had a great time from start to finish. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, the decor was great, the food was excellent (breakfast lunch and dinner all were great!). Beautiful gardens, pool, and we'll situated in the heart of Provence to explore nearby villages.

Stayed here for 3 nights.|Beautiful property and grounds.|Large heated pool. Service around the pool was a bit hit and miss. Two of the days there wasn’t any service around the pool, on the last day there was a member of staff attending the pool. The loungers could do with cushions for this level of property. |Room - well appointed and spacious , however, the air conditioning wasn’t working. We were offered a room to sleep in that had working air conditioning. Sadly even the working air conditioning wasn’t that great which meant that we had great trouble with very little sleep during our entire stay.|The restaurant is also very disappointing which is a shame as the setting is picturesque.

Spent several days here for a small family reunion. Beautiful grounds, friendly yet professional service. Not pretentious, rather true grace and charm from the classic building, manicured grounds and friendly personnel. Very good chance we will be returning.
