"This hostelry founded in 1936 is a fine dining establishment whose delicate, creative recipes celebrate Brittany’s splendid produce: seafood from Saint Malo Bay, lamb from the salt marshes, buckwheat… A gourmet experience in every sense of the word, further enhanced by the chef’s inimitable flair for jus and sauces." - Michelin Inspector
Very convenient and friendly hotel close to St Malo and the lovely coastal villages. Quiet location, big locked car park, dogs can stay in certain rooms. ||Two restaurants - nice bistro and a higher end restaurant. We ate in the restaurant this time, great service but the food was not good - strange combinations, some dishes too salty, some dishes not tasty at all. Very quiet restaurant for a Thursday, only 1 other table.

Very good service and great accommodation. Our room was clean, and the bed was good. Located somewhere between Saint Malo and Cancale, this is a great address if you don’t plan to spend all your time at the beach. The swimming pool, the jacuzzi, the sauna and SPA services were much appreciated. This is also a good address if you want to work with your team.

My wife and I stayed for just one night following an absence of some years. Sadly the last time, some five or so years ago we found that the standards had fallen from the previous highs.||A friend told us to check out the hotel once again and sure enough it has regained the old style and panache and indeed there is a new style throughout. Putting it simply, our stay was excellent. From the welcome at the revised front desk to the spacious well appointed room.||A nice en-suite shower room with a wet floor with all the facilities needed. Our room, furnished in Tireless Guerin style, that is to say rather 1980s but very pleasant with a nice large comfortable bed. A small sitting area sets off the bedroom nicely.||The staff are just so helpful and willing to engage, maximum points to them!||The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the food options are good without being great. I know that the management are working on that.||Finally the Tirel Guerin is now firmly back on our list!

We needed a stopover hotel near to the port in St Malo. This hotel didn’t disappoint - clean, comfortable and decent sized room. ||The decor away from the reception area needs addressing as a little dated compared. We were concerned about proximity to main road and train station but no noise issue really.||Would suggest given the lack of air conditioning that rooms should have a fan in them, however. Very warm and thick duvets too 🥵||We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on food but price for one night was very good.

This hotel suits all comers - we had a big clean recently renovated room (comfort villa) for us and dog, indoor pool and whirlpool, bar, Bistrot and Michelin starred restaurant. Unfortunately latter was closed on night of our stay but the Bistrot was great.
Delightful reception staff. Slightly reluctant younger bistrot staff.
Easy access to St Malo ferry (16 min) and St Malo- Rennes train (opposite hotel but not disturbing at night).
Associated big garden with holiday chalets (looked a bit dilapidated) for easy dog walking.
All in all a great find and brilliant value.
