BEST. FOOD. TRUCK. IN. MIAMI. all the food is fresh and you can truly taste it. the customer service is fantastic and both owners take the time to snails and say hi. the recognize repeat customers, like myself, make us feel like family! I’ve never had any issue with their food and even though there is always a long line at events, that goes to show how many people love them and how worth it is to go try out!!!

Google
Food was absolutely amazing, delicious and we'll prepared, however I can not give 5 stars solely on food quality alone, it really is a shame because this is some of the best food I have ever had from a food truck. The customer service was abhorrent, and the person taking orders had the audacity to call my mother names, for simply requesting a container to place all the dips and condiments that came with our order. The line and wait might not have been so long had the staff spent all the time they were insulting customers, into food prep and actually taking food orders.

Came to our job for our nurse week food truck treat. The Philly cheesesteak was so good and comes with French fries. The customer service was excellent and very friendly.

I have been trying to find a good Mofongo place for years. I even tried it in Puerto Rico. I have not liked it in any of those places. I recently came across Don Mofongo food truck and now i am obsessed. It is freshly made to order filled and topped with meat. The pork mofongo is delicious, with pieces of chicharron inside. Customer service is great as well. Alicia is a very lovely lady that will make your ordering experience a great one, she will even take you the food to your car. If you are looking for a great, yummy, and fresh mofongo, this is the place to go. Don Mofongo Food Truck. 😋

Google
Absolute most awful customer service and rude food truck! Alicia the owner displays a disgusting attitude towards setting up event commitments. She agreed to an event. After it was posted they would be the event food provider, she calls back to say she already had other commitments. After negotiations with her she agreed to service the food for the event from 9am to 2pm. Days before she changed the time from 9-12. The point was to at least provide breakfast AND lunch. Considering it was too late to get another truck, I was left begging for more time. What ended up happening: she limited her menu to barely 5-6 selections and over priced them. No coffee as agreed to was available nor the fruit salad. She never arrived to the first location (got lost and late) so people were left hungry and had to leave event to eat breakfast. Then she complained complained she didn't have enough sales. Well if she had been on time she would have. Finally at 11ish she committed to go to the next location. People were wanting lunch and many were thirsty. SHE LIED SHE WAS HEADED TOWARDS NEXT STOP. INSTEAD SHE TOOK OFF WITHOUT NOTICE AND LEFT EVERYBODY WAITING. Disgusting is a mild word to use towards this food truck.

Had the luck of trying this last week at the beach! The chicken mofongo is amazing! The wings were really good & the burgers with sauce were amazing! Hope to have this again.

Google
Ok everyone! I'm very picky with Spanish food, but the mofongo from here with chicharrón is the best iv had in Florida period. This mofongo was amazing!!! If you happen to be in the area, please try their mofongo! The chicharrón is not just chicharrón. It has the meat with the chicharrón which makes this amongst the best iv had. See photo. The woman who attended me was so nice and endearing. Will be back! Thank you don mofongo!!!

Yelp
Is it dominican or puerto rican food? I have no idea. But it is freaking delicious. So the food trucks came around to my job and decided to give this truck a try because I wanted something different than a burger or taco. This truck offers something different from the others. There's mofongo with a combination of meats. From chicken to chorizo to ropa vieja to churrasco. Not only that, but you can get those meats with tostones or yuca bites. And they have alcapurrias, pasteles, and a bunch of other latin-caribbean food. So I thought the portions were going to be small. Wrong! I couldn't finish my order. I got the mofongo with churrasco. I made sure to finish the mofongo. It was the perfect combination of salt, plantain, pork, and garlic. Andrew Zimmern once said that if a food truck has the biggest line, that's the one you want to go to. So expect a line and a bit of wait. It's well worth it out. And what's the rush anyway? A little on the pricey side for street food but it's worth every penny.

Yelp
We ordered the pork mofongo. The pork was deep fried, dry and hard. The mofongo was dry. Everything was too salty. I had heartburn all day.

Yelp
Tried this at the Young Circle food truck event in Hollywood. I ordered some food from here, while my friends went on to order other stuff from different trucks. Once in a while I went back to see if mine was ready. When my other friends had food in their hands already, I checked with Don Monfongo to see why my order was taking so long. The lady said, unapologetically, that as we were not standing there waiting for our food, it was given to other people. She told me not to walk away while she remade our food. Excuse me? I paid for my food already, it's not like a no-show restaurant reservation. Plus, I thought the whole point of such events is to walk around checking out different trucks. So, some more waiting, and we got the pork monfongo. Pork was hard, with some pieces so chewy I had to spit them out. The monfongo was too dense and salty. It was very garlicy too, which I don't mind but probably will turn off some people besides vampires. Would have given a three for the okay food, but minus one star for the attitude of the staff.

Yelp
I tried Don Mofongo at the Art Park Food Truck extravaganza which occurs every Monday night in Hollywood. I have been particularly looking for Mofongo since I first tried it at Punto De Vista Restaurant in Puerto Rico; sadly, they were not the same. We ordered the Chicken with Tostones & Pork Mofongo. The chicken was a 4.5 to 5 , it was tasty, very very close to Chick-fil-a deliciousness. The Tostones were also very good, this by far was the better dish!!! The Mofongo for me was very heavy, very dry, and lacked really any flavor...it was extremely bland...no amount of ketchup, lime juice, salt, or hot sauce was going to save it. In fact, we left more than half of it, it just wasn't appetizing. The pork was also very dry..I wish I had pix but my iPhone has been acting up so you don't get to see it, sorry kiddies. There were maybe 5 people ahead of us when we got there, it took about15-20 mins to order, and by the time I ordered there were 25+ (I counted) people waiting in line for this truck. Food took another 15-20 mins to come out...so it was definitely on the leisurely side. Think I will try another truck next time.

Yelp
We tried the Mofongo and Chicaron and it was amazingly good coming from a good TRUCK. We will definitely eat here again.

Yelp
I see a few reviews about this place being bad, but I honestly enjoyed my experience. I ate the chimi burger and LOVED IT. If you want a Dominican homemade meal feeling....GO HERE!

Yelp
I paid $17 for two fried plantains, one lemonade and one sausage sliced into 5 small pieces that they claim is "longaniza" when it's actually not. So besides being overpriced the product is not even what they claim it to be. I was so excited to have found some latin food near my neighborhood but this is going to be my first and last time.

Yelp
We got the chicken mofongo, and it was alright. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. There's really nothing much to say about the dish. It was really a whatever type meal, not something that i'd order again. The actual mofongo plantain was good but the portion of chicken in my opinion was small. Flavors were decent. The lady taking our order was very friendly and personable, so that's a plus. Would I return? I would, because I'd like to try a really good mofongo plate. But it will probably be a while until I try them again.

Yelp
I visited the food truck tonight at my apartment community and had the steak fajitas! They were the best I have had and loved the sauces! Service was great and super friendly!

Yelp
Never had DOMINICAN FOOD before. It was amazing! Just got home from eating at the Don Mofongo food truck for the first time. I cabnot believe my cell phone died before I could photograph my food. Ahhhh!!! I had the yuca bites with steak (churrasco) for $10.75 Absolutely amazing! Super seasoned beef super hot over a bed of yuca fries. Huge portion! The lady who took my order was more than charismatic. She had me cracking up. Seems she really enjoys her job. Meeting her def added to the great experience. Can't wait to go back! FYI Don Mofongo is the GREEN TRUCK (there's usually 3 trucks- all hispanic food- that park here between the church and the U-Pick lot.) Follow them on facebook and twitter.

Yelp
Visited Don Mofongo's at the food truck gathering at Young Circle last Monday night and was a bit underwhelmed. Being on a diet (whole family practically) we don't get the opportunity to make our traditional Puerto Rican dishes as our excesses caused us to balloon up lol. I digress, I can to the truck to try the following with my cousins: Tripleta- The meat was good, the potato shoe string fries were there, the sauce the lettuce but the ham was too big and the bread it was Cuban bread. in Hollywood there has to be a place that they can get Pan Sobao...hmm why not Latins Sweets bakery on Taft. that would have been great if they used Pan Sobao. the sandwich was very big so you got your money's worth. Toston Burger- Hands down the best thing that was ordered the tostones were perfectly fried the, the burger looked and tasted homemade and the dressing and cheese was perfect. i'd come back for this. Alcapurria- you get 2 per order and they are huge but the masa was under-cooked. the masa seasoning was perfect but it being under-cooked affected the impression of the dish. I suggest making one from beef instead of pork too. Empanadilla de Pizza- I think we got a different order of them because we had cut up pieces of ham and that is weird for a pizza empanadilla. Just make a pizza sauce and use mozz cheese. fry those suckers a little longer and boom, perfection! I think with the the orders for mofongo and what not affected the frying oil as temperatures fluctuate when it's used frequently. I would come back again to give it another go.

Yelp
This truck is honestly one of my favorites!! every single time I eat here, the cashier always makes sure to make customers feel welcomed. the first time i went I didn't know what was the best thing to try and she took the time to explain it to me. I've never experienced or seen another person experience a nasty encounter as described in some of these comments. I've ordered the breakfast mangu, a tostone burger w fries, grilled chicken, and the pork tostones. LITERALLY BEST FOOD EVER!!! Their cilantro sauce is also very delicious so make sure to get some when eating their french fries. A lot of trucks mess up on that by making is watery but this one is thick & rich in flavor!! My siblings, cousins, mom, and grandparents get excited when I bring Don Mofongo food home!! I wish I could add pictures but I get too excited and forget lol. Honestly the best mix between Dominican and Puerto rican food in miami!

Yelp
1 Star didn't get to try their food. Sent my wife to get me some togo at 9:30pm while I was getting desert. @9:45 pm the lady told everyone in line that they are now closed and my wife said what about the people who have been waiting?and they replied to my wife "You have only been waiting for 2mins" so my wife cause an up roar since she had lied to my wife face and having waited 15mins in line already. Of course people stop and looked at everything going on so then the lady after seeing my wife, said "ok what is that you want to order?". My wife was already pissed and told them to forget it. This was our first visit to magic city casino and I'll make sure to skip them next time I visit. I understand stand if it was 10pm and they were closed but I felt dumb when I told my wife they have to close its 10pm. My wife said nope its 9:43 when this happened.

Yelp
The best mofongo truck out there. The staff is unbelievable and the food just to die for. The people make you feel like you are back in the islands! So much love and such a great atmosphere. We travel miles just to get to where they are!! We loooooooove don mofongo and the crew xoxox

Yelp
I'd understand if the food was maybe actually good that the lady could be rude to everyone but NOPE. Not only is the food absolutely terrible, the lady treats all of the customers like sh*t. Not sure what her problem is but that is no way of treating patrons. Keep up with the attitude and you'll be out of business in no time.

Yelp
Came here by a suggestion from a good friend. She knows how hard it is to find good , authentic puertorrican cuisine in Miami. I went straight for mofongo with pork and it transported back to my aunt's house in Puerto Rico. Very savory, pork was seasoned just right. We were offered to try out the yuca bites, and we were glad we did, crispy and delicious. Beef empanadas were yummy as well. Portions are generous. There can be some wait, but so worth it. Tables and chairs on site, if you want to eat there or you can have it to go. Owners very welcoming and charismatic. Overall good experience. Will be returning soon.

Yelp
I love mofongos so when I saw this truck at the Food Trucks Tuesdays in Haulover. I went straight to it without considering any other choice. I have to say I did not regret my choice. I had the shrimp mofongo and it was tasty. The mofongo itself was full of flavor and moist. The only thing I wish was different is the shrimp. I would prefer to have it in a tomato/cilantro sauce, and while we are at it, why not inside the mofongo :-)

Yelp
Great food. LARGE servings. I don't know about the pricing since a friend picked it up. I just know that we got 3 boxes for 4 people and we ate it through the next day. Even the leftovers were good!

Yelp
Love it! I have Don Mofongo every first Friday in Cutler Bay/Pinecrest. The service is always great and made fresh to order. Love mofongo with anything-- it's all delicious!!! Can't wait to have him for an event at my home!

Bri S.

Yelp
It was ok. Had the chicken Mofongo and it was bland. Sauces they gave us were really bland too. Glad I tried it, but never again. It's hard finding good Mofongo.

Yelp
Where do I even start ?! I'll star by saying that the food was way too over priced. We spent $71 (including a 15% tip). We ordered shrimp and tostones, churasco and tostones and tostone burger. Also a side of fried cheese, a water and lemonade. The cashier told us the wait would be 10min. We waited an HOUR. When it got close to an hour, we asked the chief as there was a long line to get to the cashier and the truck door was open. He started screaming at us and told us he would refund us the money after we waited in line for an hour. I had a fit that he was treating us like that and said okay refund us because he had an awful attitude. The lady in the front taking the orders, I'm assuming his wife chimed in being very nice and apologizing. The food was done 5 minutes after. For the remainder of the time we could blatently see the cook throwing things and mumbling things in Spanish under his breathe. The food was not good. Below average. Deff not worth the price. Never going there again!!! Don't waste your money!!! The only reason I'm giving this two stars and not one is because the cashier was nice.

Teresa B.

Yelp

Yelp
I was SO excited when I saw that the food truck Don Mofongo was coming to Weston. I am from NY but family is from PR and I have always LOVED Mofongo. We drove from West Palm Beach and got to the Park about 9:00 PM. There was a line at the Mofongo truck but not as long as another truck.. When I got there I could hear people talking on the line and complaining how long the wait time was.. As I stood in line 3 people ahead of me quit waiting and just left.. I was happy because that go me closer to the front.. Anyway.. His Menu offered other items, like Hot dogs, french fries, hamburger. I was a little surprised as I thought this was going to be typical Puerto Rican/Cuban food on the menu. Once you order your food the lady gives you a ticket with a number so you can FURTHER wait.. I waited a total of 2 HOURS.. I kept seeing her give people their food that were behind me in the line.. Hamburgers, French Fries went by.. but NO freaking MOFONGO! The name of the truck is DON MOFONGO.. we ordered of the most expensive dishes on the Menu, However, My daughter ordered a hot doge and in the end only go a hot dog .. NO FRIES... our Mofongo was SO SALTY we couldn't eat it.. It was so sad.. I was so looking forward to it.

Donna S.

Yelp
Love this food truck. Had empanadas at Heritage Park and they were soooo good. Went to Tamarac Park last night and based on the woman's recommendation, I had the yuca fries with steak. OMG! Amazing! The wait wasn't bad and it was totally worth it. My son loves the empanadas and our friend inhaled the mofongo with steak! This is definitely a truck worth trying. You won't regret it!

Mike R.

Yelp
I went to arts park food trucks looking for El Rincon de Coqui food truck looking for an alcapurria and a steak sandwich. Rincon wasn't there but Don Mofongo was so I decided to try theirs. I'll start with the alcapurria, It was by far the soggiest alcapurria I have ever tried ( and I've been eating them since I was a kid) also the taste was way off. Now the steaksandwich looked edible but was not by any stretch of the imagination. $16.00 down the drain. I cant believe it's a Puerto Rican food truck. I will not go back.

Ms. S.

Yelp
Didn't like the food at all!...They should visit Puerto Rico more often to know how the food is cooked before they advertise it as "Puerto Rican Food"

Pete C.

Yelp
The marketing on this truck was awesome! The menu, graphics and food descriptions were very appealing. Against my husband's recommendation to 'try what the truck specializes in' (e.g., Mofongo), I opted for the yummy-looking Beef Boriburger from the menu board. At the very nice cashier lady's recommendation, I upgraded to the "Overload" burger, which included a slice of Fried Cheese. The sandwich was huge, nestled on a 6" soft hogie bun. The first bite hit me up with 2 piping-hot burger patties that were greasy and rubbery in texture. I had to grip the sandwich tightly and pull the patties away from my face to bite them off. The next bite was a mouthful of a mayo-based condiment that overpowered the rest of the burger. I had to lift the bun to find the fried cheese which was hard. Lettuce and tomato were lost in the mayo. Sorry guys, I expected everything on your truck to be equal in quality of ingredients and taste. Preparing a hand formed beef patty from local farmers would be a much better choice than the frozen, 7-year-old cow I ate this evening. I tossed the remaining 2/3 of it into the trash.
