Great authentic Mexican food. Definitely happy to see it reopened. The have my go to breakfast tacos 🌮 😋. Atmosphere is amazing as it has music and tvs showing sports 💪. And of course they have awesome people serving and taking orders. Professional and customer friendly

First off, vibe is great. Second off, tacos were incredible. Rice and beans were perfectly seasoned and tasted great with the salsa. 10/10 will be returning here for more tacos.

The service was great and my food was awesome. I had the street tacos and queso with chips, yum. The staff was very nice as well.

We order weekly from Dona Mary because their food is always fresh and prepared perfectly (no MSG and not salty!). Guac? A must if you want possibly the best you've ever eaten. House made tortilla are a perfect completement to the meal. This place is always spot on!!!

I'm not usually the one to write reviews but this place truly deserves recognition! My wife and I have been coming here for years and absolutely love their street tacos. Their salsa and queso are great as well. They are also Halal, I highly recommend!

Service was really good, friendly faces and smiles, order brought to my table. Ordered a huarache and a burger meal. Huarache was flavorful and really nice! Loved the salsa options also! Burger was not great. Overcooked yet not hot, tomato was placed against the bun therefore making it soggy. Cheese was placed away from the meat therefore not melted. Bun wasn’t hot bun was toasted, fries weren’t salted. Would return just not for a burger. Lot’s of kids at noon, also would t come during this time again to avoid that.

The tacos were exceptional, with perfectly soft and tender meat. The huarache was also enjoyable; however, I was not entirely pleased that the entire milanesa was served without being chopped. I requested the meat to be cut into smaller pieces, and they promptly accommodated my request. After that adjustment, it was truly fantastic! Thank you for your attention to detail.

In a category that has some real competition in the area, these folks stand out. The food is consistently good and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. Prices for tacos are quite reasonable on Taco Tuesday. I can also recommend the tortas and breakfast offerings.

The best tacos ive ever tried very good price and clean environment very authentic a wide variety of food i love it here its my first time! The people are super friendly here! Brought us extra stuff without asking great business!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the second time me and my husband came to this place. First time it was closed due to a kitchen fire, second time they told us dine in is closed although there were people already in the cafe. I have heard great things about this place but the service is terrible!

Love this little mom and pop Mexican restaurant. The flurry's are amazing, their tacos are so great and you can make them to order. The owner is very friendly. I go almost weekly to pick up my favorite jalapeño salsa which I use to do veggies and as dressing on my salads or even to smother in my meats. Everything I have had here is great and they do have free delivery within a certain distance of the restaurant. Go support local small restaurants!!

Restaurant will charge you a fee ($600) when they don't have half of your order that you've placed. I asked for chicken and beef fajitas. Didn't have chicken. Asked for a salad, didn't have a salad or ranch. Asked for cheese enchiladas didn't have cheese. THEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TRY AND CHARGE $600 FOR CANCELING WHEN YOU DIDN'T HAVE ANY OF OUR ITEMS????

Had their breakfast tacos at an event. Very good! The green salsa was delicious. I will have to go back for their lunch or dinner.

I live a block over and ever since this Mexican food provider left the gas station I have to hear an employees sub woofer several times a day. I have called the police on them I have asked the restaurant to please stop it and they refuse. Today I drive over there again was lied to by them in back of the establishment and they cranked it up even worst. These people think this is a joke so I am calling the police every time I hear it again. Plano has a 90db limit on noise. Eventually they will be caught. Do you really want to eat at a place that has no respect for anyone? I don't!

Great service from the staff. I already knew what I wanted reading other Yelp reviews of the restaurant itself. Ordered the menudo with a great price compared to other restaurants around me. Let's just say I would not travel 6 miles for the menudo. It was exceptionally good, but I should've saved my travel time. I would return again to try something else due to the service and the delivery orders they were getting coming in and out.

No joke every time I go the food is AMAZING I get the chicken enchiladas it comes with either the sour cream sauce or the cheese . I tend to switch it up each time I go but I recommend the sour cream that one is my favorite. The service is super friendly doesn't rush you at all gives you plenty of time to look at the menu and answers any questions you have . You can even see them preparing the food from your seat if you sit in the middle or on the right side . Very nice and homey feeling pared with great filling food and music . Oh I almost forgot if you're not feeling like soda or water try the jamica it's refreshing get it before they run out .

My Friday night go too doesn't ever disappoint!! So happy to see the food and dining experience continue to get better!!! We moved here in 2018 after living by the Shops at Legacy in west Plano and haven't looked back! Only .5 miles from home base and enjoy walking to great dining and other local businesses. The barber across the street is a must if your looking. Looks like the park and Los Rios shopping center is a serious contender offering the best Tex-Mex & southwestern dining, coffee house & talented barber's that Plano has to offer! Best part- No car needed. Breakfast can't be passed up either! The breakfast tacos add fresh Avacado are on point. From bacon, chorizo and beyond!!! Can't be beat!!!

This halal Mexican food place has great enchiladas. Their tacos are also on par with what you would expect. The service was good and fast. Their fajitas are good as well. I would get their fajitas and enchiladas again and the barbacoa taco. They were very nice. Definitely will come back here if I am in the area. I did intend to take pics but the food smelled so good I forgot. Next time, definitely

We have been ordering from Dona Mary for years! The al pastor tacos and refried beans are particularly yummy! Their family meals are perfect for us.

3 Stars because the food was really good. Everything was flavorful! The service was fast. The ambiance was not good. It is very run down with worker using same gloves to cook/take out trash. If you do not care about cleanliness 100% and can take a few corner cuts this place is great! I left very satisfied only if they were a bit cleaner.

Remember they got student discounts, I think teacher discounts too, but ask them if they got any specials! They told me their breakfast burritos were BOGO when I went on a saturday and what a delight, the chorizo, and bacon were biiig! If you want something fresh and not HEAVY like Chipotle, their barbacoa burrito will serve you well. I personally prefer something heavy and greasy. Typically I expect their chorizo to be drenched in grease, but its pretty good, but along with the bacon version, it was not what I remembered when I went a few years ago. I got it togo, and I wish they placed some napkins with it, and included a different sauce. Their green sauce is just fine to me. Pretty much if Chipotle light is up your alley, try them out, or if its close to take advantage of their lunch specials.

The service is so amazing. Everyone is so nice and the atmosphere feels great. Everybody is hard working and care about you. When you eat here, it feels like family. I got the Chicken Torta. It was great. If you want some quick lunch for cheap that is very good, this is the spot for you.

3.5 Stars This is a small family owned restaurant. They employe mostly high school kids. You don't visit here if you are wanting outstanding service. You come for the food! The food Is good, priced reasonably and the chips are good. I'll often call in an order of street tacos and guacamole or breakfast tacos. However, the service is really hit or miss so you have to go in knowing that.it could take 20 mins or 40. It just depends who showed up for work and how busy they are.

Finally we've found some good Mexican food! Super friendly staff, decent prices, and great food. So glad we found this spot.

Been living across the street from this place for 3yrs & finally gave it a try ! Well worth it, staff was very polite & patient with us. We ordered chicken , beef, & barbocoa (however it's spelled, lol) tacos on flour. Loved em. Rice was a major plus soft and flavorful. Also , we indulged in the steak & shrimp fajitas loved loved loved em! Long story short we will be back!

I have been wanting to check out this place for years but for some reason I never did until yesterday. Now, this is my first time and I'm willing to come back to give them another star. The lady who served me deserve all the 2 stars but like I said I would have to come back for more stars. I waited for my burrito for longer than it should be even though there were only 3 other patron in the restaurant at that time. The burrito I initially wanted was out (pastor) so I opted for the fajita meat. It was served nice and hot but a little salty for my liking. The queso and chorizo was good, the chips, not so much. I'd come back for their street tacos or some other dishes but not for another burrito.

This is one of our favorite spots for tacos and delicious but quick Tex-mex joints. The staff is so kind and knows us by name now I cannot get enough of the shrimp tacos or the carnitas. The guacamole is great and fresh as well! Oh and can't leave without my horchata! Space is open and clean and even though we don't eat in often it is a great placez

This was my second visit to Dona Mary. The food was very good. From the rustic presentation, it was obvious that the food was made by hand to order. My server was very attentive and made sure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. The ambiance of the restaurant reminded me of the small restaurants I have visited in Mexico. It's good Mexican food cooked by hard-working people. They have lots of group packets and stuff like that and the flavor is always on point and taste homemade. The atmosphere is simple and the service is quick.

Definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. You probably wouldn't want to stop by if you saw it but that would be a huge mistake. I've been going here for years and even through changes in management it has remained my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant. Today I split a barbacoa burrito and a beef quesadilla with a friend and both were delicious. I normally order the chorizo version of both of these dishes and personally enjoy this a bit more than it's beef counterparts. I would recommend adding extra sour cream when ordering either since occasionally the burritos can be a bit dry. I also suggest using the jalapeño sauce that they have at each table. This sauce really complements the food perfectly but it does vary in spice level every time I come here so I would be cautious.

Ordered the Best Family Pack for delivery tonight and it was great! Some of the best street tacos we've ever had! Enchiladas were filled with delicious chicken. Salsas were most definitely homemade. Rice & beans were great too. And it was great value for the money! Delivery driver was friendly and polite as well. Will definitely be ordering again soon!

Probably some of the most authentic tacos in plano I've had!! Yes, this place is definitely a hole in the wall kind of restaraunt, but their food is legit! Def try the the tacos ( I ordered the chicken fajita and barbacoa on flour tortillas) which are simple yet super flavorful. Don't expect to get gourmet tacos like at torchys or other texmex places, but don't worry, everything is still delicious. Here's my breakdown: Ambiance: super casual with rustic feel inside..some tables and seats could use some updating since there wear tears in the seats we were sitting at. Food: I enjoyed my tacos on flour tortillas which were simple yet delicious. The meat is super flavorful and paired perfectly with the glazed onions and fresh cilantro. Also, they make their sauces everyday which was pretty cool since the bottles were still warm from being freshly filled up. I def recommend the green sauce instead of the hot red one (that one literally burns your mouth -_-). I ended my meal with a churro and side of honey which was pretty good..not nearly as delicious and fresh as my tacos though. Service: The waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She made our cups were always filled and checked in every few minutes to ensure we were enjoying our meal.

I always go with a group of my friends, we graduated from the near by highschool. This place was like a gathering spot and the food never disappointed. The staff are always nice to us and give us a good conversation even when they are a bit busy. Personally would recommend a chicken quesadilla and the tres tacos on the menu.

This place gave me the vibes of an authentic Mexican restaurant. There was playful Spanish music in the background with instrumentals. I ordered a burrito which came with complementary chips and salsa. The food was great and very well priced for the portions. I also really liked the paintings and skull decorations that complete the ambience of the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quick, authentic, and affordable meal!!

If you think Doña Mary is just a place for PESH students to eat lunch on the cheap, you are SOOOOOOO missing out on a local gem. Our family picks up family-style meals at least twice a month, and the food is amazing! Beef for the street tacos and enchiladas is marinated in lime juice, making it tender and delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the enchilada sauces. And their guacamole is the freshest-tasting I've ever had, in the US or Mexico. Staff is super-friendly. In sum, a fantastic local place for great Mexican food.

How this place is so highly rated is beyond me, but it is the closest authentic Mexican food I have around me so I gave it a try, and sadly to say I really regret it. Me and five of my friends went to go eat dinner here and from the get go it was a disaster. The waiter was a high schooler that kept playing on his phone the entire time, we had to wave him down to get our order. Finally after ordering he asked if we wanted everything on it, I assumed this meant onions and cilantro and said yes but he presumed we wanted EVERYTHING in which was add ons that cost money (sour cream, lettuce, cheese). After the first order came out and we noticed this I asked him to just change the rest of the orders and we will keep the ones we got since they were already made. He said no worries at all, but then when the food came out it was still wrong. I told him once again and he said he fixed it, but of course, you guessed it, it was still wrong. To top it off the food was horrible! It tasted like something from Taco Bell but even then Taco Bell tasted better. To finish the night off we all checked out and the waiter tried to charge me $17 for 2 tacos. I showed him he did the math wrong as they do checks here by paper and calculator. After minutes of not understanding addition I calculated it for him. Needless to say I will not be back here and I would not wish this upon anyone unless I really disliked you.

We stopped in because we had a coupon and were not disappointed. Yummy and spicy. I had not had a Huarache before and this was good. I was begging for water after a few bites. Shows how much of a lightweight I am. It was friendly service and a cheap for the portions. Wow! I'm stuffed.

Some of the best street tacos on the East side of Plano. Taco Tuesday is one of our favorites. The beef, barbecoa and chicken are my favorites!

The food that we had was amazing and definitely hand made when it came to the gorditas. The gorditas came out warm and stuffed and was good enough to fill you up with just 2. We also had their skillet chicken fajitas and that was pretty good but your typical fajitas served with beans, rice, lettuce, sour cream, and 4 tortillas. The sauces that where given to us where good and not too spicy. The red sauce in the squeeze bottle was a little to salty and it's the spiciest one if you dare to try. Overall my plate, the gorditas were DELICIOUS when they're made fresh and stuffed with the yummy meat of your choosing(chicken, beef, barbacoa, etc).

I'm not sure how people have rated this place so well. Our rice was crunchy and dry. It took over 10 minutes to get our check after asking for it twice! Never got a water refill. The fans in the kitchen must not work because as it got busier the restaurant started to fill with smoke. They were friendly but that's the only good thing I can say about this place. We will not be back.

My family and I have been going here for years. Best chips, salsa and queso in town. Amazing street tacos (try their breakfast tacos - steak and egg). I recommend their stuffed burritos or chicken enchiladas with sour cream. Their Hirachas are also really great. I love this place and it always be my go to place. The owner, Rod, is a great gentleman and very friendly.

Super delicious food. We ordered the following items: Barbacoa Burrito Cheese Quesadillas - came with refried beans and rice Beef Fajitas - came with corn tortillas, guacamole, refried beans, shredded cheese, lettuce, rice and tomatoes Chicken Enchiladas The service is excellent. I have had some great Mexican food in Chicago, San Diego and Tampa and Dona Mary didn't disappoint.

This is my go to place at lunch when I'm working. Quick, delicious and the staff is friendly. The barbacoa burrito is my favorite. Updated and remodeled. Love that this is still a small local business making delicious food. Too many places are commercializing, and here you definitely feel like you're visiting someone's own kitchen.
