My hubby took me to here, Donburi station at Georgetown. There was a parking lot next door, but it was around 7 pm on Saturday and about two cars were vacant. There were no customers in the store, clean environment. A few times I saw people picking up what they ordered from the store.
We didn't know where to order at first, so we asked the staff. There was a large flat screen and an ordering system. However, after choosing what I wanted to eat, I had to choose the sauce to proceed, and I was confused because I couldn't reach the checkout. My hubby wanted to eat Unagi donburi, but gave up because he couldn't choose the sauce. I didn't understand why he had to choose a sauce for Unagi donburi. So he chose the Volcano donburi and I chose the poke, but again I had to choose a sauce, so I called the staff. Finally we ordered 2 donburi. There are 3 tables in the store and water is self-service.
We decided to eat at the store. Volcano donburi and Poke donburi come in disposable containers. Both bowls were satisfying with fresh ingredients, but didn't need the yuzu soy sauce I had the staff pick for me. In the middle of eating, three women came into the store and tried to order, but staff told them to do it on the screen. Like us, they couldn't order on the screen easily and had to call the staff. We had to move to the next table during the meal because of ladies. All the women's orders were also in disposable containers, and I was stunned when the miso soup was brought in a shallow plastic container. There are only three staff in the kitchen, so I figured using disposable containers would be useful. But I would like miso soup in a bowl. I hope the staff will assist the customer in ordering on that screen.
we will come again to eat donburi.
