"Named for a Vietnamese province known for rice production, Dong Thap turns rice into fresh noodles that form the foundation of the menu, including soup noodles and dry bun bowls of vermicelli topped with meat, vegetables, and egg rolls. Diners can order pho with a choice of two noodles — one is a wide, flat version that is traditional in pho but hard to find locally. The noodles are soft and slippery, yet slightly chewy, and are also available to buy at the counter to cook at home. (Dong Thap will soon open a flagship location in Tukwila.)" - Jay Friedman

One of my favorite pho places in Downtown Seattle area. I love that they make their own rice noodles. You can definitely taste the difference and the quality of them. It's also nice that you can choose different sizes of pho, depending on how hungry you are.

I first heard about this place on Facebook and their supersized pho bowls, and after visiting, I’ve made it goal to eat here every time I visit Seattle. The noodles are freshly made and have this great, bouncy texture since they’re made in-house. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the meats are tasty and very generous. The family super bowl comes in 2-person to 6-person sizes, and an x-person super bowl is equivalent to x large bowls. It technically is slightly cheaper to just buy 3 separate large bowls than the 3-person super bowl for example, but I always go for the super bowl for the experience + pictures. And you’re provided with tongs and a ladle to share. Pictured is a 4-person super bowl split between 3 people because we were hungry. Amazing pho, 10/10 would recommend. I’ve only tried the pho but I’m sure their other food is also equally as great.

Google
You come here for the giant bowl of pho and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s massive! You can get it in a portion for two people or more, and it’s probably the equivalent of two large bowls in the two person portion but you get to eat it from a massive bowl. The pho itself is tasty and generous with toppings and meat. Not all phos are made alike and this one is delicious!

Google
Favorite Pho & Vermicelli place ever! I love this place so much! I usually get the lemongrass chicken vermicelli or rare steak pho. Could eat here every day and never get tired of it. Always fresh and the service is super friendly and they are quick! Highly recommend!

Google
Amazing pho spot. The best I have ever had anywhere. The super bowl they are famous for is so large you truly need to do it with others. Also it must be ordered by appointment. But there are smaller bowls for normal meals and are worth it in every aspect. The DAILY HOME MADE noodles which make this place famous are the essence of the pho. The broth is rich and delicious also. It is so good, you will not look at another bowl of pho the same way. Make an effort to come here. It will be worth your while. They are usually busy so make sure you plan accordingly. Parking is all street parking.

Google
We tried a Jumbo family size's noodle. It's super big and good for a whole family! It's tasty, but they used Chinese flat noodles instead of the regular Vietnamese one. The big white bowl is a wonderful gimmick for customers to take pictures and do the noodle challenge!

Google
BEST PHO IN WASHINGTON STATE!!! I’m from Spokane and I’m huge pho fan I have to try pho no matter what city or state I’m in and aDONG THAP NOODLES is the absolute besttttt pho and broth I ever have had. I wish I lived in Seattle just to eat this pho lol. My hubby got chow main we ordered the souper bowl for 2 egg rolls and spring rolls. It came to about 70 bucks but it was worthhhhh it I’m telling you!!!!! The souped bowl for 2 is 30$ and that’s cheap to me! It’s huge and very feeling

Google
Can taste the difference between fresh and package noodles. Better to dine-in cuz ordering take outs, they skimp on the noodles and meat, giving you mostly broth. Thus the 2 stars for being shady (feeling really dumb for paying for a large size AND giving them tip, just to get a small-extra small size portions)

Yelp
As someone who is both gluten-free and a noodle-lover, I have been a fan of Dong Thap and their in-house-made rice noodles ever since they opened their original location in Little Saigon over eight years ago. My go-tos there were either a Phở (steak, flank, and brisket) or Bún Bò Huế. Which was why I was so sad when Dong Thap closed their Seattle restaurant, but excited for the owners' new spot in Tukwila. It is very, very different from the previous establishment. 1. It is WAY bigger. Their new strip mall location is spacious and seats four times more people. 2. There is a cool window in the back where you can see the workers making their signature homemade noodles in an industrial setting. 3. They have a bar island in the middle of the restaurant where I think you can get drinks? (We didn't sit here.) 4. The selection is much bigger, more menu items and specialty soups than the previous restaurant. 5. Unfortunately, the selection is also a lot pricier! I am guessing it is because of the high cost of moving to a new place in the burbs and the wider variety of in-house-made noodles. Upon walking in, the owners Nick and K.V. Bui recognized us right away, and greeted us warmly. Interested in the new menu items, we ordered the Hủ Tiếu/Udon Dặc Biệt, a seafood and pork soup with "udon-style" rice noodles and Bún Măng Vịt, a soup with a light bamboo shoot-based broth that comes with a side of duck meat that you add into the soup. I really didn't know what to expect from the Hủ Tiếu/Udon Dặc Biệt. But I quite enjoyed it. The savory pork comes through and pairs well with the shrimp. The chicken flavor was very delicate. I found the aromas quite different from the the typical phở that I was used to getting there. The noodles were a standout for me, as their homemade noodles still taste fresh. For me, the noodles made the meal unique and outstanding. While my partner enjoyed the Bún Măng Vịt, she found that the bamboo shoot flavor was too overwhelming, even with the addition of the flavorful duck slices and sauce. We'll come back again. But because we live in Seattle (and because of the higher prices), we most likely won't be able to come as often as we did the previous location. We also docked one star because we waited quite awhile until someone took our order. But we also attributed this to smoothing out the creases and chaos of a new restaurant! Oh, and for those of you who were fans of their giant bowls of phở, you'll be happy to know that you can get those here again! They no longer have the "Super Bowl Challenge," but the giant bowls of soup make for pretty cool photos.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Trust me, save your time, your money and your stomach space. Don't bother going to visit their Tukwila location. Visited this location at least 3 times (because family and friends wanted to go) and the food is mid. The most recent time in Tukwila will be my last, ever!

Yelp
Stopped by here with some friends for a warm bowl of pho after a long day of snowshoeing. I wanted to try the family super bowl option after reading about it online, and I split it with 2 other friends. It was also nice that they gave us individual bowls to scoop out the noodles and broth into, so it wasn't like we were all eating out of one bowl! Overall, I found the broth to be a bit bland compared to other places I've tried in the area. It was still pretty tasty, just not as flavorful as others that I've had. Also, I think the soup cools faster in the big super bowl, as it was pretty lukewarm like halfway through the meal. Not sure how physics works and if that's actually related, but it did make the rest of the soup taste pretty lackluster. Overall, I think the big family super bowl was fun to try once, but mostly was pretty gimmicky. If I were to come back, I'd probably just opt for a regular sized bowl of pho.

Yelp
w h a t d i d I t r y ? * shrimp fresh spring rolls: 3/5 two shrimp rolls with fresh rice noodles, herbs, and shrimp. Served with peanut sauce. The rolls were standard. They were a bit small in diameter, but that meant they were easy to eat. Sometimes when I eat spring rolls, they're too big and all the stuff ends up falling on my plate. Overall, a yummy appetizer. * P9 pho gau, bo vien: 3/5 This pho came with brisket and meatballs. On the side, there were your typical ingredients, Thai basil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime wedges. Before trying a new pho place, I like to taste the broth without any sauces. I felt the broth wasn't as flavorful as some other places I've been to. I felt the broth didn't have the flavors of the typical spices used to make pho, such as anise, cinnamon, or onions. It wasn't until I added hoisin sauce that I felt the broth tasted better. I like that wide and flat rice noodles were used. Some places have the skinner types. p r i c e: 4/5 * shrimp fresh spring rolls: $8.49 * large P9 pho gau, bo vien: $13.99 Pho places tend to be pretty cheap. If you're craving a cheap pho place to eat, I would recommend it. s e r v i c e: 3/5 I went on a Thursday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. There weren't any customers inside. My partner and I were immediately greeted by an employee and we got to choose where we sat. Water cups were brought out immediately and the server gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. After ordering, the food came out in max 5 minutes. During our meal, our server didn't check if we needed anything else, which was fine because we didn't. a t m o s p h e r e: 3/5 They have a good amount of seating. I think if you had a group of 6 people on a slower day, they would be able to seat you. It wasn't loud so I had a very peaceful meal. p a r k i n g: 5/5 there are some parking lots across from the restaurant where I parked. In International District, it can be really hard to find parking so the fact there was parking was a huge plus. r a t i n g b r e a k d o w n 1: never ever again... 2: could be better 3: ok 4: yummy. I can see myself coming here again 5: everything was perfect! I HAVE TO GO AGAIN

Yelp
A bit disappointed to pay $18.99 for barely a cup of fried rice. Inflation is real but this looks like someone ate half of the order and decided to spread it around to make it look more. I love your noodles and pho, so I think I'll have to skip summer months coz this is just disappointing. I hope today is only a one off day. 5/12 edit: KV (owner) called to apologise. They are short staff and still training. Really appreciate the acknowledgement. Have always love this mom and pop restaurant. For them to call and attempt to rectify takes a lot of love and care for their customers and that is why I love this restaurant. I edited my review to reflect this. Thank you.

Tamlyn L.

Yelp
Great pho. Love the freshly made slightly wider rice noodles. The tendon was delicious and you have to ask for the rare steak on the side. Flavorful broth! The shrimp spring rolls were mediocre but I highly recommend the pho!

Yelp
Was searching up places to add to my itinerary before going to Seattle & this definitely caught my eye. Their signature huge pho bowl made us feel like we were in a eating contest! We order the 5 person special bowl not including my 1yr old baby (so 6 of us total). We still had some leftover because we got so full! Should've order 4person bowl since the 5th person was my 9yr old nephew. But we did eat spring rolls too. Their broth was so good that you didn't even need to season. But of course, the spicy eater I am added lots of sauté & seasoning. They bring out a ladle & tongs for you to grab it. We portioned some a smaller bowl for everyone & everyone seasoned to their liking. Parking SUCKS! Not sure if it was due to construction. We had to circle around 3-4xs. But I didn't even see their own private parking lot. So we had to park about a block away in a huge lot on the corner & it started raining hard when we left & was superrrrr windy to the point where I was shaking. The only downside cuhs I mentioned I had my baby in his stroller & my elderly mom who uses a cane to walk around. Also wanted to mention, when going into restaurant you have a few small steps you have to get up to get to dining area. May not be much of a concern to others, but fyi if you have disabled elderly person or baby w/ a stroller. Kinda hard to access. Imagine if we brought my mom's wheelchair out. They do not have a ramp to get up. So we had to lift the stroller up.

Timothy L.

Yelp
Solid spot for Vietnamese cuisine! I ordered the spring rolls with grilled pork and the pho dac biet. I liked the pho and the different type of noodles than you would get at most pho places but my favorite thing here were the spring rolls by far. They will be moving to Tukwila in the next few months so come by before then!

Khoo K.

Yelp
Haven't been back in a while and have forgotten how good this place was. The eggs rolls have a lot of flavor, with pieces of yam, cabbage, and minced meat. It has a very nice crunch, some chewy texture and the soft yam. I am talking about the egg rolls too much and don't want to miss sharing about the noodles. It is different in a positive way. Super fresh and springy because they made it fresh vs from dried noddles. So good. The B7- vermicelli satay with tofu is a great option for vegetarian. So flavorful. Even my picky eater child loves it. The lemongrass herbs and onions gives the tofu a robust flavor. Their marinated radish and carrots add a nice texture and tang topped with grounded peanuts. Yumm. We also ordered the B3- grilled pork with egg rolls, super flavorful and B4- with grilled chicken. I'd definitely go with pork that has better grilled lemongrass flavor than the chicken. One note on parking with construction around- you can park right in front of the store/entry on the 'curb' especially if it is just to pick up or pay. It was good to know since the back could be a little too dark to walk from in the evening. Need to be back more!

Mike S.

Yelp
Super Bowl!!! Not much i can say that hasn't been said. Fresh in-house made noodz that give you the taste and texture you've been searching for. A nice bounce and silkiness to them. The broth is clean and flavorful. The meat was fresh and cooked to perfection. Lots of love put into this bowl, and you can taste it! I'll be back to explore the menu.

Maddy Q.

Yelp
I traveled from Alaska on my way back to Houston Tx. I made all my efforts to try these hand made noodles! I loved this soup, it was 10/10. I can mark this off my bucket list. I ordered noodles to bring home to my family so they could try them! I believe I bought 3 lbs of noodles worth. They are dry in a plastic container so they made it through TSA ‍.You best believe that pho soup in Houston was just waiting for the noodles. When I come back to Seattle I will for sure be stopping by again!

Lisa M.

Yelp
The best PHO Bowl of Soup in Washington. I come in every week 2 or 3 times can't get enough of this place Noodles are made in house and the broth is fresh and tasty. Newly open @ this location in Renton, this place is a must for all PHO lovers I give it a 10 stars

Kenny L.

Yelp
Most massive bowl of pho I've ever seen. The soup was light enough and the homemade noodles are definitely different compared to any other pho I've ever tried, texture reminds me more of Chinese wheat noodles versus the traditional rice noodles. Super friendly owner and recommend trying. The "Super Bowl" is more a novelty item but cool to see and experience.

Kathy B.

Yelp
Speaking for the new Tukwila location and I am so freaking disappointed. I think they're just scamming y'all in broad daylight. The broth is okay. I think the food is mad expensive, for what you get. I got a small pho dac biet and it was 16.99 for a bowl of 80% broth and noodles. They also messed up my order. They gave me exactly one SMALL piece of tendon and 1 piece of smelly tripe (I had to spit it out). And no brisket (when i asked for extra brisket and no flank. The meat quality is not that good, the meat has a weird flavor to it. The steak here is so smelly and chewy if you're sensitive to that. Save your money and go to different place.

Yer Y.

Yelp
Don't really know what all the hype is all about.. house made noodles taste like kho-piak noodles.. got the house special pho with ox tail (the waitress recommended)... but did not tell us that ox tail was an additional $14.. that's like ordering 2 whole bowls of pho and you only get 1..

Harley M.

Yelp
Fun pho place that does HUGE family size bowls! I've never gotten the huge bowl, but it does look like it would be fun to do. They make all the noodles in house, and they have a great texture. The pho and spicy beef noodle soup are both delicious.

Brittany S.

Yelp
We had p2 and p7 and it was so amazing. We are from Atlanta and saw the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The broth was so amazing and fresh, the fresh shrimp rolls were so astounding and the peanut sauce was heavenly. I have ate at many pho places and this is definitely a top 5!

Nartin G.

Yelp
Broth flavor was great. Meat quality and quantity were both satisfying. Egg rolls were amazing but not pictured.

Danae C.

Yelp
We came for the giant pho, and we were not disappointed! The noodles are made fresh, and have a lovely texture, the broth is flavorful and the meats are well cooked and tender. We also tried the "banana cake" and were pleasantly surprised. It consists of a caramelized banana wrapped in a mochi-textured steam bun, served with a not too sweet coconut sauce and crunchy peanuts. It was a fun exploration of textures with delicately balanced flavors, very unique and delightful. The space has been recently updated and looks great, and the owners are always friendly and lovely. I love recommending dong thap to my friends. Quite the hidden gem

Alice X.

Yelp
Dong Thap is famous for their viral video of the famous Superbowl Pho Challenge. So yeah, this is the place to go if you want to take pictures of you with a giant bowl soup bowl. If you don't care, then, in terms of price, it's actually cheaper to order individual bowls of pho instead of one giant bowl. P1. Pho Dac Biet is basically pho with almost everything. The noodles used in the pho are different from the other pho places I've been to and was told this is Northern Vietnamese style pho. I remember having Northern Vietnamese style pho in San Francisco but completely forgot the difference. Now I feel a tad more cultured now. I like ordering vermicelli bowls and their B1. Bun Dong Thap with pork is delicious. It does not disappoint and it's really flavorful. In Chinatown and craving pho/noodles? Yeah, come here!

Ed S.

Yelp
Came from Vancouver, Wa with my fiancé to experience the big bowl of pho. Walking in we were greeted and quickly tended too. Soon after our ginormous bowl of pho come. Not only was this huge but the taste was beyond expectation. The broth flavorful and the meats tender and delicious. I plan on being my future mother-in-law here so she can experience this great and delicious place.

Nyuki S.

Yelp
I ordered medium size of Bun Bo Hue here. It is very tasty. Service was good, very friendly.

Amy T.

Yelp
This was the first Vietnamese restaurant I was brought to when I first moved to Seattle so it will always have a near and dear place in my heart. The decor here is no frills and super casual. Their pho is solid and my first time ever having a short rib pho. Pictures can't do justice of how huge the "short" rib is. My sister likened it to a Flinstone bone sticking out of my bowl. Speaking of bowls, this place is also the home of the Super bowl that is large enough for a small baby to sleep in. Def want to try taking one of those out one day with a crew of friends. I also highly recommend their fresh rolls with shrimp, a nice clean way to start what will no doubt be a yummy meal.

Jenny G.

Yelp
I ordered takeout and enjoyed the pho! The broth was good - beefy with a hint of sweetness. The rice noodles were very unique. They were thicker than other noodles I've had before. After reading some reviews I learned that they were made in house!

Robert B.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, children welcome. Comfortable atmosphere, not currently ADA accessible, however staff gladly assisted the 3 stairs up and down. Management is close til moving into a new facility.

Jan L.

Yelp
We ordered a bowl of bún bò huế and the superbowl of phở đặc biệt for 2 people. Wow. I truly appreciate the fresh noodles. The flavors of both dishes are pretty good. The owner is very friendly and sweet. The ambience can use a little help. We're visiting Seattle so not sure why the clientele is scarce. Maybe of competition in the area. Overall, I would definitely return for another superbowl of phở đặc biệt

Kimmy L.

Yelp
Note that Dong Thap Noodles IS OPEN for TAKEOUT and DELIVERY during COVID. You can pre-order online through their website. If it is your first time ordering, they will also give you 15% off your entire order (minimum $15 purchase). My family bought búns (vermicelli bowls) for dinner tonight. We pre-ordered online through the app and chose the curbside pickup option. With the 15% promotion, our total for four bowls came to about $50. We bought two chicken with eggroll búns, one pork with eggroll bún, and one vegetarian bún with meat eggroll. The bowls were full of vermicelli noodles, lettuce, cucumber, carrots, and bean sprouts. They also came with a fish sauce dressing and peanuts on the side. The portions were generous and the egg rolls were delicious. The chicken was tender, but slightly over salted. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service and health procedures

Vivian L.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for delicious Vietnamese noodle soups (bun bo hue and pho for references). The noodles are handmade at the shop as well! We talked to the owner and unfortunately, the business has been slow due to adjacent construction blocking a lot of the street parking availability. Please support this business by ordering take out. The owner also said that they will be moving to a new location (in a mall close to the Seattle International Airport) within the next year (unconfirmed).

Vinh D.

Yelp
very bad service and food not good for very things. Pho $18.99 so expensive vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvbbbb

Aivy P.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday at 11:30 am and there was nobody eating inside. When we left around 1 pm, only one other party had come in while we were there. Not a bad thing, we actually enjoyed having the restaurant somewhat to ourselves for our party of 5. It worked out perfectly as I was looking for a place that wouldn't have a wait on the weekend for a larger party. Our group ordered two bowls of pho (medium and large), two bowls of bun bo hue (mediums), and I got a medium banh canh dac biet. Portion sizes are on the larger size for what it is, but they give you a lot of noodles. The banh canh was nothing special, the broth wasn't super flavorful, and I had to go looking for the ground pork. The banh canh noodles were okay, slightly more chewy but less gummy. I would get something else next time. The brisket in the pho was good and so was the different style of noodles made in-house. Each bowl ranged from $13-16. The place looked very clean and open, and our server was friendly and attentive. I would come back again and try something else, such as their bun or com tam.

Jhonsen D.

Yelp
I wasn't sure how takeout pho would taste like, but it was delightful. I ordered the vegetarian pho (in photo) and spicy beef combination. Both tasted real good. The broth was delicious and comforting. The best part I think was the noodles. They had different size and texture of noodles than other pho restaurants. A must try. Will come back/order again!

Mordren C.

Yelp
Their handmake noodle is the best pho noodle ever for me. It compliments the broth. Their potion is quite big too

Lesly W.

Yelp
This pho spot is known for its super bowl challenge which can be shared between a family. There's also rice and dry noodle style dishes available to order. Pros: -noodles are homemade (different than the typical rice noodles, thicker in consistency and more like an udon-texture) -many size options -convenient location in Little Saigon in Chinatown Cons: -broth tasted bland, lacking in flavor -noodle portion size is small in comparison to the size you order -can get busy (15 minute wait during Friday lunch time) -prices are slightly above average

Naomi S.

Yelp
Best Pho in Seattle in my opinion. The fresh noodles are amazing and have ruined Pho at any other place for me. Service is also extremely friendly and top notch.

Whitney H.

Yelp
Dear Dong Thap, Nick & Family, I miss your restaurant so much. It's basically the only thing I miss about Seattle. You were closed on my last day in Seattle, and I was so sad. I hope you guys are thriving! Love, Your Long Lost Regular

D P.

Yelp
Soup - 5 / 5 Service - 3 / 5 Noodles - 3 / 5 Meat quantity - 4 / 5 Meat quality - 3 / 5 Parking - 4 / 5 Price - 4 / 5 Overall grwr place to eat and friendly service. Tasty and price is friendly. Recommended.

Toni Rose D.

Yelp
Hands down, the best pho I've had in a while! I called to make a reservation for a group of 13. They don't take reservations but I was told to call 15 minutes prior to arriving. My brother's gf was the one who suggested we try this place out since they do offer the largest bowl of pho. They were able to accommodate a large group and they were really patient with us. We didn't order the largest bowl of pho to do the challenge but you have the option to put four bowls of pho for four people in a big bowl. The spring roll and Thai tea were delicious. Now, the pho. The broth was amazing and the noodles were even better. The noodles were thicker than what I'm used to but I definitely believe that's the reason why the pho was so good. Everyone loved their pho! We couldn't get enough. We were there for two hours and we were not made to feel rushed or anything while we were there. Service was on point, and cannot wait to go back and eat there again!

Yelp
tl;dr an unassuming Seattle noodle shop cooking up whopping bowls of pho Tucked away in the International District (with spotty parking availability at best), Dong Thap Noodles is somewhat of a hike for even an avid foodie. But featuring Instagram-able "Super Bowls" of pho, Dong Thap is worthy of the effort. Despite the unassuming concrete exterior, the interior is clean and comfortable. The earthy yellow and brown walls are decorated with nature-inspired murals, and the plentiful sleek glass tables are illuminated by the bay windows that extend across the front of the restaurant. Contemporary Vietnamese music plays unobtrusively in the background, blending with the low chatter. A buddy of mine was in a ravenous mood for Vietnamese fare, so we decided to hit up Dong Thap for weekend lunch. Only a few tables were taken when we arrived that rainy morning, but as soon as noon hit, the restaurant built up a steady flow of patrons. We decided to split the House Special pho for 2, and within a matter of minutes, a fragrant smell drew my eyes toward our trough of a soup. Filled with steak, flank, brisket, tripe, tendon, and meatballs, the House Special gave us the chance to sample all of the meats that Dong Thap has to offer. Definitely give the tendon a whirl: combining the richness of steak and chewy texture of tripe, it provides an adventurous new experience for beef novices. The rice noodles, prepared in-house daily, were well-cooked, and the salty, rich beef broth was a perfect complement to the cool, drizzly weather. While the number of add-ins was comparable to similarly priced bowls of pho, Dong Thap doesn't skimp on its soup -- our enormous bowl was filled nearly halfway! Service was quick and attentive, and at the end of your meal, pay up at the counter. While not the absolute best bowl of pho in my life, at $32 for 2, Dong Thap is generously priced for the entire ensemble.

Yelp
Touch down Seattle Thursday night came straight over after picking up the car rental. Perfect weather for PHO. The owner was so friendly. My go to spot for Pho in Seattle

Gil ..

Yelp
Great food! Great service! Look for their new place in South Center coming soon! Big Pho Bowl!

Leland S.

Yelp
Lo and behold the so called world's largest big bowl of pho. Here was our experience on a Saturday afternoon. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking, free for Sundays but for other times, its paid. Seating: Inside seating for about 30-40 people. Great for groups ranging from couples to family sizes. Feels: It's in the outer ends of the International District but a good two mile walk from the station and Wing Museum and such. The spot itself is not very touristy and the restaurant is relatively clean. Pretty spacious with some Vietnamese decor. There's a tv playing the food channel which is pretty neat. Great spot for regulars, tourists, or people that enjoy good food. FOOD: Super Bowl for 4 (Recommend) - $50~ House Special - steak, flank, brisket, tripe, tendon, meatball. Yeahhhhh these bowls are huge! Same goes for the serving so make sure you haven't eaten anything all day. The broth is rich with flavor, the meat was savory and well cooked. I wasn't used to the flat noodles but at least it was something different. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! The servers were friendly and quick with our orders. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. This spot is great, price was right, and the food was delicious. I can see myself coming back... not to do the challenge but if I wanted to show friends around, this is a spot to be. It's also a place for a good comforting bowl of pho. Tips: * In its 4 year existence, 3 people have completed the Superbowl Pho challenge. * Superbowl can be served up to 1-6 people * The video that got me - https://klewtv.com/news/offbeat/worlds-largest-bowl-of-pho-is-in-seattle

Food is delicious, friendly service, looking forward to the opening of the Tukwila location.

Yelp
Hole-in-the-wall pho in ID. I ordered the rib pho and it was outstanding. Fragrant yet not overbearing broth, very soft and vibrant-tasting noodles (almost tastes like the fresh noodles served in Vietnam and not the boring dry kind at most Viet restaurants in the US!!), fall-off-the-bone beef rib meat, and good portion size. One small complaint: our server. We ate on a Sunday morning, and while our server was quite friendly, he did not speak Vietnamese. I think he's Vietnamese-American, and it's ironic because he looks fobby AF and the restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall, yet he lacks the language skills for the clientele at the restaurant. I speak English so it's fine, but I feel like elder Vietnamese customers with limited English skills would be really put off by this kind of service. I don't feel like someone like him should have much difficulty in picking up the bare bones basic Vietnamese vocabulary to simply take an order, and it would go such a long way. But yeah, Dong Thap serves an excellent bowl of pho!

Yelp
Interesting presentation of big bowl of Pho for fun. Pho is good but should be hotter, service is good. Good support then.

Yelp
My all time favorite pho place whenever I'm in the area. What is better than fresh noodles in an amazing beefy pho broth?! Please just come here and try, words can not explain how amazing this place is, even the bun bo hue is super flavorful.

Yelp
I went here for lunch, with a friend. We both ordered P1(House Special), with all meat with Thai Ice team. My friend ordered extra meatballs. The food was amazing and fresh. Of all places I had Pho, this was the best one. Can't comment on the other dishes, but Pho was amazing. They do have dine in option and otherwise takeout & delivery options are also available. Covid care: The restaurant was super clean and made sure to clean place before customer sitting. Customer service was great for sure. Every one wore mask. Must Try: P1 Pho with extra meatballs!

Yelp
This was the best Pho I have had in a very long time. I had the steak and brisket. The portions were perfect, and the prices were right! The place was super clean and parking was very easy. Service was very friendly. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
You've probably seen this place all over Facebook for their Super Bowl challenge but they are so much more than that enormous bowl of pho. The pho noodles themselves are made in-house and the noodles are a little wider and chewier than your standard pho, but they really set this place above your run of the mill pho joint. They have quite a few different sizes of bowls, but I ordered a medium and it was more than enough forThey do have family sized Super Bowls if anyone wants to share though!) Note: There's no parking lot, so you're stuck trying to find street parking in the ID, but trust me, it's worth it.

Yelp
Typical Viet hole in the wall restaurant run by a family from the North of VN. Listening to them speak to each other in Vietnamese was refreshing because I myself have a Northern accent and most people in America only ever hear the Southern accent which honestly is the reason Vietnamese is considered an ugly sounding language -- that's the truth. I digress. Anyway, I was intrigued by their fresh noodles made in-house, which is a really nice touch. Couldn't tell a huge difference at first but upon paying attention to the noodles you do notice it has better texture and is softer. My husband was super impressed. I really love their bun cha gio thit nuong (B3), as well as their bun bo Hue. As someone who's 75% Hue, I was very skeptical that people from the Northern region could make good bun bo, but I actually liked it here! Broth was flavorful enough, but of course I still had to add the usual lime and chili paste. Pho was solid as well! My husband and sister really like the food here as well. And the owner/manager is a very welcoming and friendly gentleman. The neighborhood is kind of ghetto, but that's the ID for you. Wish there was a proper parking lot. Will definitely add this place to my list of go-to Viet restaurants in Seattle (along with Tamarind Tree and Pho Bac Sup), especially whenever I'm craving their fresh cold noodles aka bun!

Yelp
What I learned from my first visit to Seattle and choosing a pho spot was to not trust the average rating of reviews on Yelp. Either I am a super snob or Seattle just doesn't know good pho. But this place my friends is all the dreams a pho snob would want. The noodles are made in house and make all the difference to this pho. And the broth is everything it should be. The broth is light, clean but with depths of flavor. It takes a true pho aficionado to appreciate this. But the real star here is their Bun Bo Hue. I literally finished my entire bowl, all the soup and all and I never manage to do that anywhere. The hand made noodles for this soup are perfect in every way possible. The broth and meat just as delicious. Other than the super big bowl they are famous for, they have many sizes here. So you can find the right size for you here. After we left for our dinner, I was quickly planning on how soon I could come back before we left Seattle. Too bad, I don't live in Seattle - I would be at this place every week.
