You gotta love Dongpo! I came here with my work and got about a dozen different shareable items. I ate Crab Rangoons, Scallion Pancakes, Potstickers, Dumplings (Peking and Crystal Shrimp), Xiao Long Bao, Wolf “Teeth” Potatoes, Fried Rice, Flat Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles, Orange Chicken, and some spicy chicken dish. The food was delicious and I had a great time! My favorites were the Rangoons, Scallion Pancakes (this was a surprise), and Dan Dan Noodles. They played Maroon 5 music for us the entire time, which was fun. Some of the food took a little long to come out, but what do you expect when you randomly walk in with 16 people. The server gave great recommendations and accommodated to our shenanigans. This is a top tier 4 star review from me, and I only give 4 stars because some of the food wasn’t at the 5 star level in terms of quality. Overall, though, I definitely recommend

Great authentic Sichuanese food with full flavor. The Xiaochao Rou and dries beans accompany rice that was so satisfactory. Unlike others the rice comes with dish and free jasmine tea as the openner. The free ice jelly was as pleasant as the meal. The dining setting are good and service was great. Highly recommend.

Amazing service! I would give it 6 stars if I could. The food is very authentic and well made. I did takeout this time because I don't live near Chinatown, but I've also dined in before, and both times, I've been served with good food and good service. Both times the owners of Dongpo Impression have given me gracious complimentary service. Definitely one of my favorite shops now!

This place is very authentic, the food is great, specially the scallion pancakes and the dry chili chicken, the Szechuan beef noodles are great too but with the only caveat that if you order them spicy it will be very numbing and you might not enjoy them. The service is really fast initially and as others mentioned, once your food is served they kinda forget about you and you have to flag them down for everything else. I’d still recommend this place if you want an authentic Chinese food experience.

I recently visited this Sichuan restaurant and tried their shredded pork with green peppers. It was absolutely delicious! The handsome waiter provided excellent and attentive service with a friendly attitude. I will definitely be coming back again!

Dongpo Impression is one of the best Sichuan restaurants in the city with a no-frills family-style vibe and very friendly service. Among the dishes we tried, the Sichuan wonton, Dry Chili Chicken, and Sichuan string beans were our standout favorites. The smoked tea duck was also very fragrant though with a slightly lighter flavor profile. It was a satisfying meal overall, and the flavors of the dishes were spicy yet well-balanced.

As others have said, a no frills restaurant specializing in Sichuan cuisine. Extremely fast service, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food. The dry chili chicken and scallion pancakes were fantastic! The dan dan noodles were so so, next time I'll likely order a different noodle dish. As someone who is Chinese, I will absolutely come here again! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others who find themselves in the area craving solid Sichuan dishes.
