Worse dim sun ever This morning, my husband went to this place and got us the dum sun. The dum sun is corrosive, and then this dumpling is like a rubber band; there is no way to bite it at all. The smell is bad. As an Asian, I could not believe my own eyes and taste for this; the food had been outside the refrigerator for several days. Interestingly, my husband, who is caucasian, told me the same experience after he tasted the dum sun as in the pictures. Oh, my gosh. How would the owner want to sell this food to her customers?

I haven’t been here in like five years now so I took a trip here just to get some good dim sum like pork siu mai and shrimp rice rolls and the owner hooks me up for three boxes of dim sum and some sweet treats too for 50.00 the food was just as good as I remember it too. I will be back. Thank you so much for remembering me since it was great to see you too. Thank you for the pork and salted egg porridge treat too much love 💕

Excellent dim sum options and donuts. Friendly lady.

Incredible spontaneous stop on our bike ride around the Bay Area. The owner was enthusiastically hospitable, setting us up with a selection of pastries and dumplings, and moving chairs outside so we could sit with our bikes. The pork rib bun was one of the best things we ate on our whole trip. Highly recommend.

Google
It s a walk in dim sum bakery. The shop lady is pushy for efficiency and the pricing isn’t posted. Dont let that overwhelm you. Just ask ask and ask. For 20 dollars, I got 3 baos, 12 pieces of dim sum and a small box of cha siu.

Simon Chan

Google
Not only regular donuts, they serves Chinese dim sum and Burmese foods & items. First time visit and bought for $30 of food in photo 1 & 2: in photo 1 - those included juicy pork Siu Mei + chicken Siu Mei, 1 pork lotus rice + 2 chicken lotus rice, shrimp dumplings, 1 egg tart, 1 pork sweet rice; photo 2: stupidly large super size 4 x pork buns - pork mixed with very less veggies with Chinese sausage, portion of egg and mushroom.

Cute little shop with donuts, dim sum, and some off-menu dishes (congee and fish noodles). Affordable and quick eats.

Yelp
Amazing hospitality Went in just for one donut but left with amazing recommendations like the sesame bun and the potstickers New GO-TO place for good quality snacks Also very good price Very kind people , I would recommend to try out

Yelp
Today I was reminded why I stopped going to this place. I came in since I was craving to go dim sum. You come in for one item and you will leave with 5. The lady tricks you, so be careful. She's like do you like this and that and I caught on after saying yes the first 3 times. She will say is this this for 4 people and then ask again and keeps adding more head count. She asked me multiple times I I wanted dessert and I said no. She's nice but very pushy. She say this is fresh and she just made this and she will add it- but of course in exchange for your money. She told me the total was $30 and when she grabbed my card and recounted and was like okay $40! I'm done with big back behaviors here. The food is also just mid. I got chicken and pork sui mai, shrimp roll and spare ribs.

Yelp
This place has been around for years. It is an asian owned bakery, serving donuts, dimsum, etc.. It is a small place tucked in a strip mall. The woman who owns the place can get tricky when it comes to prices of her food so be careful. One day, she will charge you for taxes and some days she won't. Always ask for a receipt! And remember the price she gives you on your last visit because the next time you go she may change it so keep your receipt(s) I like her husband and I wish he would be the one serving but he is the cook. The food they serve is okay. I like their dim sum items.

Jasmine W.

Yelp
When my friend wanted us to pick up lunch at a donut shop, I was unsure, however it was worth the drive to check out this super hole in the wall delicious Burmese-owned spot! Variety is amazing and I had so much fun selecting through all of their different offerings. Decisions do need to be made promptly and I could see why people aren't in love with their service, however you're not coming for the service - you're coming for the amazing and different food! My favorite were the noodles but I'd recommend grabbing your favorite plus a couple items that are out of your normal comfort zone, would definitely return! Of note, there's no real seating so basically a take-out only.

Yelp
This review is mainly for their mung bean hopia! If you're craving Filipino munggo hopia, go to donut delight express. Asian owned but you'll be surprised how close their mung bean hopia is to the old fashion Philippine delicacy! It's only $1/ pc and it doesn't disappoint! Aside from hopia , they also have dimsum and I've tried their shumai and it's pretty good too!

Moriah L.

Yelp
My family always comes here when we are craving dim sum. Donut delight is a hole in the wall, family owned business. It's always crowded when I come, but they have very fast service and I'm never waiting for long. My family always orders their dim sum options, which are tasty and very affordable. If you want a quick pick up to take home and eat this is the place to go! Great service, food, and very affordable(:

Zach C.

Yelp
The donuts were great and the older lady was extremely friendly and generous. She gave me a complimentary bag of Burmese samosas. Definitely give this family run donut shop a try!

Jeffrey V.

Yelp
Would recommend this place to friends and family. They have plenty of varieties from donuts to dim sums. It's a really good place if your craving for some donuts to pair with your morning coffee or just some dim sums for snacks. I'll be coming back soon.

Christine W.

Yelp
This place is good if you don't know what you want as the 'owner' imposes what she wants you to have. If you want something specific as I did, you won't get it and have to go back and buy it from on the 'workers' so the same thing doesn't happen again! Buyer beware.

Jimmy W.

Yelp
One star for the customer service. The lady owner is known in the community as impatient and short-tempered. I knew what I signed up myself for. I had a 5 year old with me and i was told to come back in 2hours as they were closing to mop the floor. It was mind boggling as I wanted to order more food but she prioritized mopping the floor over making business transactions. She told me that she didn't want to pay her employee overtime. I braved through and got the food I wanted to purchase and leave the place without slipping and getting more yelled at. God bless her soul.

Yelp
A 3.5 star hole in the wall! Apparently this has been here for so many years and I never would have guessed if it wasn't for my mom! Hidden in the back corner of the donut shop, lies some delicious dim sum all at great prices! TIP: -when you go inside, make sure you already know what you want otherwise you may end up leaving with more food than you came for, lol. There are steamed items, stir fried and baked items. There are no set prices that I've seen and everything was pretty much given to us in bulk. For example, there was still HK noodles left in the pan and the worker gave us everything for $10. All the items we got were $10 each and I'm not sure if that's the regular pricing of everything. The worker was a bit assertive when taking our order. She always had suggestions and started to pack the food before we even decided. She also gave some food tips. She said the wonton soup is thick enough to be a sauce for the shu mai. And it indeed paired well! The food was indeed delicious and there were some misses, such as the HK noodles. I didn't care for it at all. The food was great and if you need your quick dim sum fix, I suggest!

Jonathan B.

Yelp
The Pan Fried Pork Fun was amazing. My parents are neighbors with the owner and they tell me how nice he is. Will def be making trips here when I'm in my Dumpling mood.

Emily O.

Yelp
Hole in the wall, Burmese owned mom and pop shop. Get their dim sum! My dad likes coming here to support their business.

Yelp
Good Foods For Myanmar Community especially on Saturday and Sunday. Recommended to try at once.

Yelp
We've been coming to Donut Delight since 1998 when we lived at the apartments nearby and would walk here for our dim sum fix. We moved away the following year, but my husband worked close by and continued to pick up dim sum and donuts here weekly. When our kids were old enough to attend Logan, they would frequent Donut Delight, too. We hadn't been for a few years since we now live and work further away but we had the opportunity to stop in last Saturday. The husband and wife that own Donut Delight were so happy to see my husband! They are extremely nice people, and I can't understand how anyone would think otherwise. She greeted my husband like he was her long-lost son. It was so sweet. I got har gow, siu mi, hom soy guk and dan tat. My husband got a Macau porkchop sandwich, and she threw in some freebies just cause. Everything was so good! We will definitely start going out of our way to come more often.

Yelp
I've passed by this donut and dim sum shop many times before and they have had lines that go out the door so I thought I would give it a try today since there was only one other customer in the shop and I've been craving some dim sum for a while. Reminder to go in the morning though. I ended up going to this shop around 3ish and they only had shumai left for dim sum and some Chinese pastries. That's my fault for not going earlier. I ended up purchasing $10 worth of shumai (I think it was 5 for $5 and she put in one or two extra). There was one lady working the counter and she didn't come off as super friendly but I could tell she was trying her best since she had just finished explain to another customer why they couldn't sit down to eat. Overall I'm happy with the dim sum I purchased. This is definitely a place where you can get a quick meal to go. I didn't try any of the donuts so I can't really speak about them but they looked nice.

Yelp
DIMSUM AT 6:45 AM. I'm an early riser and donut shops are often the only place open early in the morning. Always trying to find interesting savory items since I've had enough hotdog rolls, and bagel/croissant breakfast sandwiches to last a lifetime. They open much earlier than Taipan Express and I thought it would be cool to try dimsum and donuts for breakfast. Traditional Donut Offerings: Donut holes were OK, my wife is the household expert and ate all of them but said local places were better. Ham and cheese croissant for the kids had thick cut ham and cheddar which were great but the croissant part was a but dry and we had to force our kids to finish it. Dimsum: Steamed pork dumpling had a heavy amount of basil, not in a bad way, never had it before like this and it was quite good. Har gow was OK as well. Not so great was the cheung fun which my wife normally loves. Super thick rice paper and barely any shrimp in it. The macau pork bun was the first time I've ever had it and I'm sure it's supposed to be better than the one I had. The reason for the overall review is I swear the owner was trying to hustle me. She was adding up the order out loud and seemed to be making up prices on the spot. Our total should have been around $25 but she asked for $42, I looked at the receipt and she charged $14 for a dozen donut holes "accidentally". She also shoved fried fish cakes and vegetable eggrolls into the bag saying I had to try them, I thought they were a free samples for the kid but she charged for them and by then I just wanted to leave and didn't want her fishing the random stuff she threw in out of our order.

Yelp
Donuts & Dim sum? Yes please! I've passed by this place countless times but I've never tried it until recently. We came at 8am on Friday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered shrimp dumplings, shui mai, shrimp rice roll, spicy dumplings, bao, and a donut. It all came out to $27. I think what made it expensive were the rice rolls - not worth $10 for 2 servings. The shrimp dumplings were my favorite! It was smaller than usual but I love how there's no extra skin. The shui mai's were also good! My fiancé thought the dim sum's were good as well. Service was okay, the way she would ask us what we wanted felt like she was rushing us lol. She kept saying what about this try this lol

Yelp
Almost every donut shop in the populated areas of Cali are Asian owned and operated. It is a good opportunity for immigrants to be able to start a small business. And even though I don't go out of my way to eat donuts anymore, I do and like to support these small businesses, especially the ones directly in my community. Sure donuts are in their name, and sure they sport most of the basics. I've tried a few and they're definitely not bad. But from the outside and to the uninitiated eye, there are a ton of other stuff here to get/explore. Walk past the donut case in the front to a tight corner towards the back and you'll see an enclosed steam case. If you go early AM, it will be stuffed with all kinds of Chinese brunch-y items. Lots of steamed dumplings, chicken feet in sauce, tiny pork rib bits in sauce and many things flaky and baked. Steamed Shrimp Rice Rolls ($10/6 rolls/4*) Pretty solid, shrimp actually still juicy and the wrapper wasn't overcooked. Sauce being nice and light soaks into the rolls quite nicely. Siu Mai ($10/dozen/4*) Nice sized and quite juicy. Nice pork texture and flavor with a sweetish edge. The wrapper was a little mushy, but still not bad. Har Gow ($10/dozen/2.5*) These I didn't care for. No shrimp chunks, just mostly that shrimp mousse texture. Spicy Wontons ($10/generous dozen/3*) This was kinda weird to me. First the wontons were really chive-y, that you could see the green interior through the wrapper. I'm not a fan of chive dumplings, if I would of known, I may have steered away from it. Then the hot oil that the dumplings were swimming in had a noticeable tanginess to it, which kinda threw me off. I guess I just prefer a red chili oil. The vinegar with the chives just kept throwing me off, just wanted something more simple. They also have a lot of Burmese items on another menu, but don't really know when those are available. I want to explore those for sure. It is amazing how many different things they can kick out in such a small space. Will brave many more explorations here, kinda like a treasure hunt in a hole in the wall dive. Adventure on!

Yelp
I've come here for YEARS... always has amazing dim sum to grab an go. Whenever we have a work event I grab siomai and donuts to bring. Opens early and is just a piece of home. Love this place.

Liliana M.

Yelp
I went in for a donut because it was close to where I was at. I walked in and waited 5 minutes to even get someone to ask if I wanted anything. Then an older women asked what I wanted, I asked for whichever one donut I wanted they said it was $2. I proceeded to ask if they took card and she said "no it's a minimum of $10" which is okay I understand but then she proceeded to say "make it ten then and add to your order or there's a bank next door go there"... "go to the bank" and she walked away she didn't even let me answer if I wanted to just make it a box of donuts. I ended up just leaving because I was standing their waiting for them to ask if i even wanted the donuts still and they didn't. The older women was rude and gave lots of attitude. I'm disappointed because it was my first time going their and it's an area I'm frequently around.

Yelp
This disgusting place serves rotten food with maggots in it. See my photo. The ham and cheese sandwich literally had worms in it. I'd hate to know what other health violations this place is committing. Hopefully it gets shut down soon. Stay away. It just might save your life

Dawson D.

Yelp
Good, affordable burmese food. Ask for the burmese menu during lunch times on weekends. Their dim sum and is pretty good too; they have chicken feet, pork spare ribs, rice noodle roll. I also like the spicy wontons they have.

Khine K.

Yelp
The best pork buns I've tried! Very big portions and the flavor is unmatched! They don't skip out on meat and the bun itself is very soft and delicious!

Dafa Z.

Yelp
Five stars for friendly service. I came here for the first time to get a box of donuts for myself and little cousins on a weekend morning. The man at the counter must of known because I asked for a dozen variety with sprinkles. He threw in fresh donut holes and a few bars. It was rush time and they were very busy. I liked the fact he apologized for the wait and tried to help me as quickly as possible. He was very smiley and had a good attitude even though there was a swarm of people inside. I was feeling a bit down that day but his kindness and the delicious donuts made it better. They really prioritize the customer and make you feel welcome. A box of a dozen donuts is $15 and well worth it. I will be back.

Elle M.

Yelp
Yellow bean and sesame ball are the best. Jennifer is so nice and friendly and a true saleslady. She's always trying to get me to try other pastries, but all are good. But my two faves are the yellow bean and sesame balls.

Brandon L.

Yelp
Amazing and friendly customer service. Food was not WOW by any means, but will satisfy a dim sum craving if you have one. There is definitely good value here. My least favorite was the Har Gow. The filling was a ground shrimp whereas other places would have whole shrimp chunks inside. The filling was pretty pasty and probably had fillers. The dough had no chew and was mushy as well. The Siu Mai was good but nothing very uniformed in texture. Usually there will be different textures and chew bits. The chive cake was good, but what surprised me was the wontons in chili oil. Although some of the wrapper dried and got crunchy, the overall flavors were really nice. I'd get the wontons in chili oil again - hopefully execution is better next time!

Antonio V.

Yelp
I believe she is the Owner.. She gives me anxiety when I order. She speaks loud and try's to upsell Dim sum.. Won't give Prices.. Try's to make you buy $5 to $10 plates of Dim Sum. Just high pressure. I saw that other review pic of the maggots! GROSS! Place is small and cluttered.. Maybe they are not so clean. I think i'll pass.. Too bad, a couple of changes and it could have been a so much better restaurant.

Jay G.

Yelp
I belong to a group on Facebook, which consist of Mom and Pop shops seeking business during the COVID-19 pandemic around the East Bay. Donut Delight Express was one of them. I have had their dim sum in the past that my cousin introduced me too, but it was my turn to take a trip myself. I had a huge craving for dim sum and by recommendation to arrive early due to sell outs. When I arrived on a Saturday morning, I was greeted by the friendly owners and staff. They had a wide variety of donuts and pastries. I went in an places orders of their chicken and shrimp shumai, shrimp rolls, har gow (shrimp dumpling), shrimp & cilantro dumpling, and lotus rice. The lady there is very friendly and offers a lot of suggestions for something new to try. For me, it's kind of compulsive buying. If I like it, I'll end up buying more than what I originally intended. You know that feeling when you go to the wholesale warehouse or those popular stores we go to at least twice or more a week. It may come off as rude to some, but hey when you're upselling, you do what you have to do to keep your business going. The items I bought for breakfast were very delicious and very budget friendly. I'll most definitely be back to try some donuts and Burmese food!

Lisa H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem for congee, dim sum, and Chinese sweets. They're a family style hole-in-a-wall store. I always get takeout and the dim sum never disappoints. The hygiene doesn't seem to be the best, but great value overall.

Florian C.

Yelp
Great food! Great selection! Friendly owner! Great value! Drove all the way from Livermore!

Suki M.

Yelp
Actually I wasn't even going here. I parked and started to walk to my dad's favorite panaderia for a cookie. As I was passing this donut/dim sum place I remembered he loves bear claws... But when I went inside and couldn't communicate with the lady behind the counter. We tried pantomime (didn't work) we tried pointing (didn't work) A guy at the counter tried helping me... okay, now were getting somewhere... They have a very small selection and no bear claws! I get a few donuts and a couple of muffins, chocolate I could figure out...Not sure they understood my asking what flavor the other one was... Ending up getting a few donuts and like some other Yelpers mentioned they tossed in a few donut holes... The donuts were fine. The chocolate muffin was hard and dry... No teeth were broken thank goodness! went straight into the compost bin! Afterwards I read the YELP reviews. Then I seen they serve or served Shark fin soup!! Hopefully that was in the past. Either way I cannot support a business that would take part in that horrific atrocity!!

Tiffany C.

Yelp
This place serves doughnuts and dim sum. But the SHUMAI is the star of the show. They're big, reasonably priced, and super yummy. The pork&shrimp, chicken&shrimp, and shrimp dumplings are my favorite. I always bring these to my church potlucks if I'm lazy to cook something. It's definitely a crowd-pleaser. Never any leftovers!

Zachariah A.

Yelp
I've been coming here since 1998, for my weekly Dim Sum fix. There was no need to wander off to Fremont or Milpitas, for DS at all. Dim Sum is a separate culinary art mastered by very few, due to its tedious preparation. It's affordable, and 100% authentic. The Burmese original owner was a nice guy who loved Harleys. After many years of success here, he sold it to a very assertive hustler lady, known for pulling fast ones on unsuspecting customers. Today, she saw me walk in late(2pm). I was ignored for full ten minutes, while I stared at stacked racks of old sui mai drying out, all over the small eating area. After finally realizing I might be sold this stale old dim sum, I quietly exited this once great hole-in-the wall, never to return...

Alyzza D.

Yelp
Came in today because I was craving shu mai and hargow and this was the closest place to me. I called beforehand to make sure there was some available and was told 15 minutes. I arrived before the 15 and there was some ready. I waited outside with one of the workers. She had me sit with her outside because the floors were wet and were drying. She began talking to me about what I did for work and where I went to school which I was totally okay with talking about. Things took a turn when she suggested I get a shot to help me lose weight. I never asked for her opinion or asked anything related to my weight. I am someone who does have pounds to shred but this was unwarranted. She then went on to assume I am diabetic. I should've walked away then and there. Nonetheless, the shu mai and hargow was good. Reasonably priced and are bigger than other places. The same worker tried to sell me other items that I was not interested it. She kept on insisting and after realizing what she was doing, I denied any further "suggestions". Apparently this happens quite often. May or may not be back.

Truc T.

Yelp
Accepts Card & Cash! My review is truly only for the Shu Mai! I'll be real honest, when you hear Dim Sum Donut Shop, I was pretty intrigued, & pleasantly surprised at how tasty the Shu Mai were! I generally recommend Chicken & Pork Combinations with shrimp since those have a great salt flavor profile mixed with other ingredients. If you're expecting SF Chinatown dim sum, that's not what this place is, but if your looking for a quick snacc, this is where it's at. Low key, the lady can be pretty aggressive on upselling you more & sometimes can come off as rude, so just politely decline if you do not want to purchase extra. Great small place to stop by for a quick bite!

Nicole G.

Yelp
You know the food is good when the Burmese locals are at the donut shop eating the food on a weekend. There are so many people that come in for dim sum pick up early in the morning. The donuts are good to me. Always fresh and plenty to choose from!

LJ D.

Yelp
Hidden Union City gem located on the side of safeway facing alvarado niles. Ive been coming here since high school and not much has changed. Honestly some of the best tasting dim sum and donuts you can get especially for the price! Though selection varies based on the time you come in. (Pro tip theres more in the morning and definitely ask for chili oil!) siu mai has an abundance amount of pork filing and the har gow shell isnt too thick loaded with shrimp filling. Last visit I was also able to score some chive and shrimp dumplings! Absolutely delicious & the donuts arent too bad either! Im a big fan of the french cruller, very light and airy on the inside and just the right amount of chocolate glaze. The egg tarts are also cooked to perfection! Not too sweet with just the right amount of density in the buttered crust. Overall this review is solely based on the food. The owner of the store is a bit of a bargainer who will attempt to upsell you and she is quite fast and good at her job. If youre not firm you may leave with more food than you expected to pay for but honestly its part of the establishment (in some parts of asia its very much a cultural thing) and been that way since i can remember. 4 stars for the food & ill leave it at that!

Melita A.

Yelp
Honestly, BEST PORK SHUMAI and THEEE BEST SESAME BALLS I'VE EVER HAD!!The sesame balls got this yellow paste inside, I think it's lotus seed paste and it's FIRE!! They also don't skimp on the filling of the sesame ball. I've tried their pork and shrimp shumai...great...chicken shumai...yummy...Shrimp shumai/har gow...ok. They also sell donuts which to me aren't that great. But they shumai and sesame balls got me coming here dam near every weekend and I'm trying to lose weight but this donut shop won't let me. Also just an FYI the lady can come off a bit strong and she's VERY fast paced, which so am I :), but it's a cultural thing and don't take it to the heart, she mad cool;)

Meg C.

Yelp
Affordable food and very nice owners! Had fun talking with them evnthough I just met them the first time

Caroline E.

Yelp
I've been here twice before and each time was a bit odd. The lady came off strong and pushy. And the prices were inconsistent. Each time I wasn't given an itemized receipt, so I couldn't confirm what I was feeling. I know I paid two different prices for the same amount of donut holes. When I was ring up, I almost didn't want to pay for them, but I didn't want to make a big deal so I paid anyway. And since I tried different dim sums each time, I couldn't see what was off (bought the donuts after eating the dimsum). I haven't gone back since. So this third time, I sent my husband over there and I had told him about the poor reviews and of my own experience. Sure enough everything that we had read was true. I asked him to get four pork buns ($2 each) and pork and shrimp shumai (70cents). I originally asked for 20 sm, but she upsold to 2 dozen and my husband agreed only to this. She tried to offer more items "5-6 times" (his words) saying that she will add a dozen of this or that he should try this because it's good. She didn't just ask either, she was already trying to add some items in the to-go tray. He consistently said no and clearly stated that was all he wanted. She goes on to say "you're so mean today". He hasn't been there since Dec 2018 and looked completely different then, so I don't know what she's talking about "today". It turns out she punched in $17 flat for the shu mais instead of $16.80. And this makes sense why my totals for a variety of dim sum in the past seemed more than I expected to pay. I figure she does this often. My husband asked for an itemized receipt, but she said it was already too late. Granted it is only 20 cents, but it's the principle of the matter. It's dishonest. She probably doesn't behave like this all the time, but out of the 3 times this household has gone, it was poor service. My profession is surrounded by customer service and hours of one on one interactions. My husband's profession demands that he has extremely tough skin. He wants things straight to the point and he didn't appreciate all this extra commotion. Others have mentioned also being up charged like me and not being given an itemized receipt. "When you order tomorrow, I'll give you one". The food was ok. It reflects the price you pay for it. It will definitely fill someone up and it's good for a family who is looking for quantity over quality. So that is a plus. Another plus is that it's already made for immediate pick-ups. Lastly, I am Filpina and I see that majority of her customers are also Filipino. So it leads me to think this is where the affordable dim sum is, but not the most authentic. Not sure if we will be back.

Rj M.

Yelp
Be very careful when you pay! The lady at the register will charge you extra 2 or 3 dollars. I was there this morning for a $5 somai $5 samosa $5 rice porridge and a $2 drink with tax total of $25 according to her. So I was like whaaat 25 bucks and she was oooooh it's $21.92 even though it's off I just paid and left food it good but trying to get a little bit more I think is very low low low.

Yelp
It's really a shame that the experience getting food here overshadows the actual food. The lady working here is not worth dealing with. The food is actually very good but it's not worth being hustled and ripped off. The lady here is very aggressive. If you ask her for a price on an item she will just throw it into the bag and not answer . She will say "it's very good" or "you have to try" or she won't say anything at all and just add it to your order. She will also add additional items to your order, like twice the amount you wanted plus some "extras" for you to try but she is totally charging you even though you didn't want it. If you do still go here, do not pay until you make sure you are getting exactly what you want. She will make it difficult but insist because she is manipulative and shouldn't be trusted. She talks fast and moves fast. In the end, she will make you feel like you should just pay and leave so you don't have to deal with her anymore but if you do that, she is most definitely ripping you off. Don't let her do it to you!

Yelp
The har gua and shiu mai were alright. The taste was good, the meat was not tough, but the wrapper was on the thicker side to me. It was fairly fresh, but was not kept in a steamer basket, so it would probably go cold quickly. The rest of the stuff I got (she forced into me) was cold and maybe even stale. They were just kept on a tray on a display case. The chives dumpling also had a very thick skin and had barely any filling. As mentioned in the other reviews, the lady working here will try to sell you stuff you didn't ask for. She's a real hustler. Be smart when dealing with her.

Yelp
Over charges so make sure you verify your order. Her "you should try these" items are usually extra cost so don't think you're getting a deal. I go here maybe 2-3x a year. There are other better spots available.

Yelp
I needed lots of donuts to take to my sisters class of 2nd graders. The owner was super sweet and gave me a sample donut hole as it was my first time! I got 3 dozen mixed and she packed them nicely and made sure the variety had no nuts (as it was going to a school and there are allergies) she asked me my favorite kind, which is maple and she threw it in for free in a separate bag with a few more donut holes for good measure. Very friendly, good prices, donuts are delicious and fresh and she makes me want to go back!

Yelp
This place has a musty smell that likely has been caused from the lack of ventilation, and boxes of clothes next to the food in the store. The woman that runs the shop is also very pushy and easily gets mad at you for not ordering at her pace. She gave me the wrong change and no receipt she just kept the change for herself. She also didn't give me a 1/3rd of my order only to find out when I got home Some of the food is also sitting out at room temp with no heating. I have found broken pieces of chopsticks and some hair in my food. This place has really fallen since the original owners left. The only reason this place gets 1 star and not 0 is because when their food doesn't have inedible items in it, its tastes okay.

Yelp
The place : Pushy and aggressive lady. Who says she is the owner. Poor interactions and poor customer service The food: Donuts are fine Steamed Buns are hit or miss; texture often seems "old"

Yelp
The best donuts and foods you can find in SF, not sure about other negative reviews. The most unique whole in the wall place I've found. You should def try and will come back!
