"This charming goat dairy farm and creamery has it all: tons of fresh and aged cheeses, habit-forming goat milk gelato in flavors like raspberry panna cotta and olive oil with sea salt, a menu of sandwiches and soups, and handmade goat milk soaps. The icing (or chevre) on top is a family-friendly tour featuring a bevy of the farm’s adorable and extremely friendly hoofed residents." - Naomi Waxman

The hot honey sandwich is THE perfect sandwich. The bread is crunchy and soft, the cheese is gooey and all over. It has a touch of heat with sweet and salty mixed in. I will think about it forever. Highly recommend! Turkey and Brie was also great if you want something a little more lowkey. Very nice patio that is dog friendly as well.

Google
Delicious sandwich, soup and cookie! The turkey and Brie is magnificent! I could only eat half because it was so big, but excited to finish it late. The tomato basil soup was fabulous and the cookie was the best way to finish! The staff was so friendly and the cooks are polite and handsome.

Google
Honestly. The hot Sammy was the best sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. Warm meats with perfectly baked bread. I was shocked how good the food was. A bit pricier but you absolutely get what you pay for. Outstanding..

Google
This place is insanely good. It is a little pricey but you really get what you pay for. I think I’m truly going to dream about the turkey and Brie. Will definitely be going back next time we visit door county!

Google
I was hesitant at first to go in because I’ve never had Goat Ice Cream before. To my surprise the place had more than just goat ice cream, they had goat cheese, spread, goat feta cheese, coffee, pastry and snacks. And lots of cute gifts too. So the verdict from my children is: goat ice cream is amazing!! And goat feta cheese is where it is! Must try!

Sam Bargwell

Google
The breakfast BLT, coffee, and chocolate chip cookies were all delicious! A little on the pricey side, but the fantastic service more than made up for it. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
I've been here a few times and each time has been a great experience. The products are delicious from sandwiches, cheese, ice cream, and anything else edible. On this trip, I had a special request and the team, especially Allie & Lola (I apologize if I don't have the correct spelling) helped make it work. This creamery is the ONLY place I get ice cream... Thank you! - Hazelnut Pines ;)

Google
Cheerful and friendly staff and the sandwiches and gelato we had was SO good!

Darren A.

Yelp
Great gelato. We tried two of their Stracciatella flavors, cherry and the base flavor. I'd give them an extra star because they are made with goat milk. We also got a couple of their chèvre, which were both quite tasty (particularly the cherry one)

Yelp
super cute spot in door country that has sandwiches, gelato and sells various knick knacks as well! really nice to sit outside on a hot summer day for lunch. i really enjoyed the hot honey and mozzarella sandwiches - the hot honey sandwich had crispy onion that really pulled it together. the mozzarella is a basic but a classic, you really can't go wrong with this one. you order at the counter and they'll text you once your order is ready!

Yelp
It was after the breakfast hour but the restaurant was still serving breakfast sandwiches and that is what we were looking for, breakfast. We ordered two bacon and egg sandwiches and grabbed a table outside to wait for our order. Nice options for breakfast sandwiches and indoor and outdoor seating available. The girl at the counter was not overly friendly but took our order and we paid and waited outside until we were texted that our order was ready. The sandwiches came with fruit that was pretty good (with the exception of the strawberries that were turning brown) and chips. Three of us were splitting the two sandwiches which was plenty of food. The major complaint and we did not address it due to being hungry and not wanting to have to wait for them to remake our sandwiches was that they served us the wrong sandwiches. We specifically asked for the bacon and egg since it was served on a croissant roll. Which is what we wanted. But our sandwiches came on a thicker bread that my friend could not eat due to stomach issues. Additionally, neither sandwich had an egg on it. So we had a huge hunk of cheese, bacon, the greens and sauce. It was OK but again not what we asked for. I was a bit distressed by the behavior of one of the workers. Behind the counter there was a tray of pastry, croissants, cookies, etc. As my friend was ordering I watched an employee stand in front of those baked items looking them over. She then handled one of the croissants to look at it, put it back down then took a cookie and walked away eating the cookie. And she did not have gloves on. That was a big distressing. So I was glad we didn't get our sandwich on the croissant but again, not a great dinning experience.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVED their gelato! I wanted to try so many of the flavors, but the one that I got did not disappoint (and I am sure that all are equally as delicious). I am so bummed because I didn't have it in me to also order their real food (i.e. the sandwiches) that I wanted to try, but I will have to save that for next time. The inside of the shop is also cute where you can get some Door County Creamery cheese to take home amongst other foods/gifts. I went at kind of an odd time (about 3pm) so it was not super busy, but I can imagine that they would be busier and slower in service during peak season and breakfast/lunch hours.

Brittney G.

Yelp
Love this spot, outdoor seating only but tables are all along the wrap around deck. Highly recommend mozzarella sandwich & Arnold Palmer! My kiddos love the pizza rolls. Haven't tried the gelato yet but it's on my list (it's the only thing I managed to get a photo of). Place your order then browse the charming gift shop while you wait for your food. The staff has always been friendly even in the busiest of times, definitely a must stop in Sister Bay!

Xander A.

Yelp
Gelato was delicious and the food smelled amazing! Beautiful shop with great service. Cute place to sit outside and the help was very courteous

Christopher H.

Yelp
Have been looking forward to trying the food at door county creamery and it did not disappoint. We got the burrata salad and the roast beef Philly sandwich. Both were really good and we would recommend!

Stefani V.

Yelp
Omg my sandwich was so tasty!! I had the hot honey (chefs kiss). I came to visit on the weekend so there was a little line witch was no big. However, the line went fast and my food didn't take that long either. While i did wait in line and to get my food they had stuff to look at if you were interested in buy some gifts or souvenir. The inside was a little small but so much to look at. If you haven't heard of this place or was thinking about trying it you must!

Rainbow U.

Yelp
We like going here for the sandwiches and salads which are amazing, hearty, well-balanced in flavors. The fresh bread rolls they are on, the quality cheese and goat cheese, the fresh greens, the fact they don't skimp on the sauces and spreads: all make a fantastic picnic feast. Highly recommend the beets sandwich. Prepare to be blown away.

Vib M.

Yelp
When at sisters Bay you have to eat at Door County Creamery. They don't have too many selection of ice creams but the flavors they have taste great. We had Various ice creams but really liked Door County Cheery and Ultimate Oreo. However if you can have just one then you have get Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. This is the best flavor they have.

Brian S.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping here. Nice outside spot to sit.

Richard G.

Yelp
Must stop here for gelato and a meal at least once or twice when visiting Door. Can't get enough of the goat cheese as well. We usually take a pack to go on the way home.

Seven N.

Yelp
We had the turkey Brie sandwich once before, and it was fine. In fact, quite yummy. Inconsistency is the word of the day. Something wet was running out of the sandwich and made everything soggy including the bread. The meat was too wet and soggy. If you like salt, you'll love the beef barley soup. Sooo much salt. The owner might want to monitor the way the employees are cooking their dishes or they could go under. It happens all the time. The "cook's" sandwich making process is a big part of the problem. You can't stack sandwiches with bread on top of the other sandwiches' meats exposed, he had them stacked in preparation. Take note, owner! Mind your employees!

James K.

Yelp
We go to Door County Creamery in Sister Bay every time we visit. We had the turkey Brie sandwich and French Ham Sandwich. Fun to share half and half. Outdoor dining.

Juan O.

Yelp
Totalmente recomendado.

Sasa T.

Yelp
Adorable place with food, drinks and gifts. We tried the chocolate croissant and overnight oats. Both were delicious. You order inside, take it to go or sit outside. Great atmosphere. We really liked it.

Dan V.

Yelp
Visited again since we found this gem last time in Door County. I had the gyros and it was definitely their awesome take on a classic! My wife had the Fall Salad and she said it was very tasty and clean. It looked amazing. I'm sorry I don't have any photos as we were starving when we were called to pickup our lunch. Seating is all outside now but they text you when the food is ready.

Victoria L.

Yelp
These were the best sandwiches we've ever had. These guys have nailed it. We tried 4 different sandwiches and French onion soup, purchased two bottles of wine. They also have a large local cheese selection and gift shop. Seems like a family run operation. If I lived in the area, I'd eat here weekly I'm sure. The Hot Honey and Roast Beef were just wow. Skip the fancy restaurant for lunch and come here.

Tara M.

Yelp
DCC honesty keeps getting better. All the gelato, wild ramp goat cheese, and sandwiches are incredible. We went back 4 days in a row for the kids pizza roll ups, too.

Amy A.

Yelp
Food is fantastic! I keep thinking about the BLT and chocolate chip cookie! Love the coleslaw that comes as a side. I do wish they had some cheaper children's menu options - paying $9 for a 2 year old's meal isn't ideal. Their store is so well curated. Unique finds, unlike some of the other stores in Door Co. Wine, home decor, kitchen/entertaining items, really cute kid stuff, and great goats milk soap! Not to mention all their other food treats!

Carissa E.

Yelp
If you have a love of goats, this is the place for you to visit. Earlier in the day we saw goats roaming around and then stumbled upon the is adorable ice cream and gelato shop. There is goat merchandise everywhere so we could only assume the gelato and ice cream was made with goat milk, which in fact it is! You guys when I tell you this ice cream knocked my socks off PHEW! It was SO GOOD. I ordered the salted Carmel and it was just perfection, so creamy and delicious.

Gabby K.

Yelp
Great gelato and really delicious sandwiches. The gelato was flavorful and so delicious. Came here 4 times on my 5-day trip :)

David Z.

Yelp
Very good but expensive cookies. $3.50 each. If you need a cookie, pay it. If you can wait, learn to bake and make them for 35 cents.

Jordan A.

Yelp
Some friends and I travelled from Louisiana to Door County this fall to see the leaves change. We stopped in at this place, and I wasn't that hungry. A friend and I split the turkey sandwich and when I tell you I STILL HAVE DREAMS ABOUT THAT SANDWICH. It's been a month and I came onto Yelp to find a picture to see if I can recreate it. It's that good. Just try one. If they were still open at this point in the year I might drive the 18.5 hours to get my hands on another sandwich.

Shelley S.

Yelp
I came back a second time on my trip for the turkey brie sandwich. It was incredible.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
We had the French ham sandwich to go, delicious! Came with chips and 2 small pickles. The shop was really cute and gelato looked great

Melanie C.

Yelp
Maybe the best food in Sister Bay. Excellent service, as well. Breakfast, snacks, delicious baked goods...so many great options.

Jeff M.

Yelp
We've had gelato across the US and Europe. Quite simply the best we've ever had!!! The sea salt olive oil will blow you away. We also had peanut butter stracciatella and cookie dough. This is 10 stars in my opinion! Looking forward to having again the next 3 days and I'll be going with the pint!

Jon M.

Yelp
This place was one of THE best parts of our trip to Door County. Stopped in on a whim and booked the farm tour for the following day, which comes with lunch at the end. The owners and all the employees have such a clear love and passion for what they do and the products they produce; and it shows in their cheese, their food, and their store. LOVED the tour. Informative, fun, and beautiful. Gelato was top notch. Sandwiches were unbelievable. My wife's Turkey and Brie was "one of the best" sandwiches she's ever had. Thank you, Door County Creamery, for being such a memorable (and delicious) part of our vacation!

Jessica R.

Yelp
Door County Creamery had an excellent lunch! Thai red curry soup was excellent, not overly curry-y and the coconut milk wasn't overpowering either. The cream was an excellent addition, as was the small bag of bread that accompanied the soup. The Lox and Cream on pumpernickel bagel was equally (surprisingly) delicious. Normally I like my mix and cream simple: bagel, cream cheese, lox, side of capers, onions and tomatoes. But this one was pumpernickel bagel, heavy whipped cream cheese, lox, topped with arugula, pickled onions, an "everything" bagel seasoning and some type of mustardy, pesto sauce. It was a great blend of spices and enough for us to share 1 for lunch. A little chintzy on the chips but it's aight, the lox and cream was where it was at. Outdoor seating was limited, no social distancing in or around here, but everyone was respectful as much as possible.

Rhonda W.

Yelp
We were only in Door County for for five days on a girl trip in mid-august. We did a bit of research and the creamery was one of the must do's. In all fairness that's one of the things I really liked about the area... Didn't have a bad meal the whole time. So many good restaurants and such good food for such a small little area. We stayed in Sister Bay. The creamery is a must such a cute little place. All kinds of cheese and goat cheese items. Wine ECT. We did miss out on the goat gelato we are just too full had some kind of turkey brie sandwich that was amazing the salad that came with it was not good but the sandwich in the bread was delightful. We shared a petite cheese platter that also had some figs and fruit and some other little things on it. Oh my gosh it was so good and we are so full. Because we decided to do one wine tasting a day on our trip. They said they did not do wine tasting but that we could sample wine if you're interested in buying a glass. We didn't do wine there.

Claire P.

Yelp
The most delicious sandwiches, we could've eaten here everyday! Also their goat cheese they sell here as well is so fresh and amazing! Definitely planning on coming back next time we're in the area.

Jane B.

Yelp
Coconut candy bar Gelato was amazing! Goat beef stick and cherry chèvre also really awesome! Cute gifts available in the shop. The staff was nice and answered questions.

Allison O.

Yelp
Amazing gelato. Highly recommend the yogurt and berries flavor if they have it. I dream about it!!

Hillary T.

Yelp
Stopped in while spending a day in Sister Bay because I saw a sign that they had gelato, and well, who doesn't like gelato? After sampling a few different flavors, I settled for orange. It was a small cup of smooth, creamy deliciousness. There are tables to either sit out on the patio or inside. I noticed they sell lunch items also, but my main mission was the gelato. I was not disappointed!

Michael H.

Yelp
I dare you to post a bad review here. Been coming for years and somehow it gets better every time. Just go. Get some food to go and sit by the beach and enjoy. BLT is incredible. That beet sandwich is unreal. Salads, etc... never had anything that wasn't absolutely delicious.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Holy cow! Or is it goat? This place has delicious lunches made with fresh ingredients. I could probably eat here every day for the rest of the trip and be happy. I ordered the special suit under a day which was a Thai chicken curry and it did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned and with a kick. We each ordered sandwiches - Mine was a mozzarella, prosciutto and pesto creation on a crusty loaf. Each sammie came with a mixed green salad and pickle. Beautiful out door seating and samples galore inside the shop! Win!

Amber Z.

Yelp
This was on my must see list for my trip to Door County since it looked so unique, it definitely matched the high expectations I had for it. It's located in a cute area and had a lot of wine, goat's milk soap and food options. I bought the pink sugary and lemongrass goat's milk soaps. So far Ive tried the pink sugary and its really smooth and creamy as far as soaps go, it's seems very natural. Ordered the beet salad which was frickin' huge, definitely a two or more person salad. It was good but made me realize I don't particularly like beets but the fresh chevre, watermelon radish, walnut and balsamic part of it was good. Also bought a Tozai Snow Maiden Sake. I don't usually ever drink sake but just like I judge books by their cover, I judge wine and I guess sake, by their wrappers. This bottle was just too pretty to pass up, it ended up being surprisingly good served chilled and was also very smooth and creamy. Couldn't pass up a pastry while I was there so decided on the peach ginger pop tart, which was a funky flavor and had an incredibly yummy, buttery crust. Sat outside eating my salad and it was the definition of pleasant on a fine DC summer day. Door County Creamery is pure goodness.

Paul V.

Yelp
It's not all that often that you find a spot that's so quintessentially local that it's maintained its quality and appeal even after becoming a go-to tourist spot. Door County Creamery is all those things, and they do everything well. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Imagine with me if you will a quaint little Swiss creamery. You've got cows pasturing in the back, friendly service in a cozy atmosphere, and a wide range of diary products. Got it? Well now move it to Wisconsin and turn the cows into goats. Bingo. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? So it turns out goat products are slightly more expensive than traditional cow products, but that shouldn't be surprising. The prices at Door County Creamery are reasonable. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? I'll confess right now that I don't really care for goat cheese, so I was a bit hesitant upon strolling into a goat creamery and ordering, of all things, salted caramel goat milk gelato. Did I enjoy it as much as traditional gelato? I didn't, but it was damn close, and I can say with confidence that this was the best goat cheese or milk product I've ever had. The cookie was rock solid as well although probably could have been a bit softer. Two Stars. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Absolutely. This is THE Door County staple. Star.

Lauren S.

Yelp
What an amazing little spot in Sister Bay. This review is for both the Farm Tour & the shop. The tour is well worth the $. You get to try cheese, gelato, play and pet so many goats, see how the farm operates and then have an amazing lunch on the patio. I would do it again in a heartbeat. This is a family owned shop and the prices are reasonable, the food is SO good and the owners are so nice. A must stop when in Door County

Libby F.

Yelp
Door County Creamery is more than just goat cheese and gelato. My mom, sisters and I each bought a bar of goat's milk soap. Super affordable at just $6.00. The cherry blossom scent was my choice. They're made by one of the owners who raises goats nearby. We would have eaten here if we had one more day, and didn't stuff ourselves with local cherries and cheeses at our complimentary hotel breakfast buffet. I guess I'll have to return to Door County, which is alright by me.

Jim K.

Yelp
Cute small place with sandwiches coffee wine and ice cream. The chocolate cookie with black coffee was six bucks plus change. Very chocolate cookie, coffee hot and delicious.

Maggie L.

Yelp
I don't know why yelp says this place is closed cause I was just here a week ago. They are very big on goat cheeses and (probably) goat ice cream so come if you're a fan of that. I got the irish cream and almond fig ice creams. Very smooth and creamy!

Carleyrae W.

Yelp
My all time favorite place this summer, everything I've tried so far is amazing, the summer salad is especially good!:)

Samantha C.

Yelp
We went to to Door County Creamery after searching for the highest reviewed lunch place in the peninsula. We were not disappointing! I got the mozzarella sandwich which was perfection! But the real test was that both of the people I was eating with raved about their food as well. One of my companions got the soup and cheese board... can we just talk about what a great idea that is? Soup and cheese and bread... umm how did I not know that was a thing? The creamery also serves gelato, which you should save room for... if you can.

Amy J.

Yelp
Everything here is gourmet and delicious. Highly recommend their cheese and charcuterie platter. We order one for pickup when friends visit and it is a hit.

D B.

Yelp
"This is some of the best food I have had in years." Said my husband as we were eating here. We ate here a few years ago and thought it was great then. It has only gotten better! We ate here two lunches in a row. Amazing Kale Salad both days, and amazing sandwiches. Our favorite sandwich was the Lamb Gyro ~ phenomenal! And the bread products and cheese here are outstanding. And to push ourselves over the edge, we had the cherry gelato ~which was the best gelato/ice cream we have ever had (even better than that place in the Marais in Paris we loved!) Loved sitting on the patio soaking up the sun and it was great to meet one of the owners -say Thank You if you do. If you are walking by pondering where to go, ponder no more and go in!! We will be back.

Amy M.

Yelp
The gelato is amazing but the absolute must try is the sorbet. The sorbet is so creamery you will question whether it has dairy or in. It is sorbet like no other. Absolute favorite is coconut (wish that had it every time!) blueberry, lemon, and strawberry are fantastic too.

Heidi K.

Yelp
Amazing cheese choices ! Cute little cafe for lunch. The tables outside were full, so we took our lunch to go and walked one block to have lunch at one of the many picnic tables on Lake Michigan.

Kat W.

Yelp
You're in for a good time here. The place is pretty busy and it is laissez-faire on the samples of cheese, which is nice. There are fun gifts including soaps, wines, and everything else in between. However, the reason you're here is the food. A disclaimer is my SO and I aren't big on goat's cheese (I can handle it slightly more than my SO can). That being said, the spreads were tasty and the gelato held no hints of that aftertaste we so despise! We tried the charcuterie board (a bit pricey, $25 but well worth it) as well as the sandwich of the day which had gruyere cheese and ham. I have to start off by say, the bread here is fantastic (I know we're here to review a creamery, but I still can't get over how fresh and tasty the crusty bread was). The charcuterie board is a necessary splurge. It is wonderfully presented, and we requested for non-goat cheese options on our board, which was generously accommodated. It came with olive-oil drizzled bread and delicious meats (they were all very tasty and there was good variety). To be honest, the cheeses we tried on the charcuterie weren't amazing/the best I have had (but then again, it was because we were picky and not eating the specialties of the place), but still very worth the try. The sandwich was served with a side of pesto pasta that was also quite delicious. Overall, we had a very pleasant afternoon; there was outdoor seating so we were able to eat outside and people watch. We were able to walk off the extremely rich meal we had by strolling along the street and looking at the shops around the area. I would say this is a Door County must!
