Best New Restaurants in Baltimore, According to Eater Editors | Eater DC

"Baltimore’s cherished Italian bakery and pizzeria relocated to new digs this year. Starting at 8 a.m., stroll in for stunning pastries like maritozzi with whipped cream, cinnamon-date-walnut babka, chocolate hazelnut tarts, blood orange olive oil cake, bomboloni with caramelized honey pastry cream, and cannoli. Savory selections include mortadella sandwiches on a sesame-seed roll, arancini, and freshly baked pies by the slice. The new locale does booze, from dine-in limoncello to take-home wines, beers, and liqueurs." - Jess Mayhugh

Europe in a pocket park in hampden. Order the pastries, no matter the time of day! The dough is perfect, the vibes are both cool and family friendly, the bottle prices are approachable without compromising on quality, and the overall experience feels unique, special, and unforgettable. It’s hard to pick a favorite moment here - the food is awesome, the service is great, and you feel deeply a part of the community while also magically in your own world here. I think they’ve accomplished something truly special here, and I hope to see it evolve and stay true to the community - and as patrons, i hope we appreciate and live up to what they offer our community!

The pizza was really good got the special it was fig pizza and the fig tart. Make sure you go on a nice day it started to rain and it really only outside seating not much inside. The vanilla cream soda was good too!

Have had their pastries before at the other locations and finally came for the real food! The cheese pizza was pretty good, great cheese pull, and taste. But crust was pretty tough, not a fan. Meatless parm sandwich was pretty good! Burnt edges, but the burn fortunately did not overtake the good taste. Did not enjoy the $8 arancini. Got the meat one, though it had two granules of ground meat. Showed the staff and they said normally it's got 1.5 ounces of meat. Shocked me. 😲 Very weird customer experience on that.

Good local place to have italian pastries and food. It is cute place next to R house. Inside and outside are cute. Local and casual place for brunch. I went there with friends. We had pizza which was pretty good. We also had cannoli which was good but very crispy/hard outside. Coffee was good. Pistachio bun was really good too. Crispy on the outside but soft inside. I wanna try the salted hot chocolate and mushroom lasgna next time. Maybe other pastries as well. I wish they have more food

Crazy good food and a breezy vintage euro atmosphere and bright snappy flavor combinations are definitely a natural for this Sicilian style "pasticceria" and pizzeria converted from a classy lil' streamline moderne garage or showroom (complete with retractable garage door wall) set across from the R House food hall. Seating inside the eclectic but homey cafe interior is available as well as tons of al fresco eating and chatting outside at their large corner spanning patio of tables and impeccably designed rain garden and benches; people and food breezing in and out. It's how neighborhoods should look. Pizza is thin crust NYC style with excellent chew and flavor, their Quattro Formaggi with extras like pistachio sets it apart from their regular cheese (both delicious) and are sold by the slice or full pie. Pastries are impeccable - I recently had their melon zuccotto cake and it was moist, fluffy, creamy, with melon and lime; everything I could ever want. They also have granita, halfway between shaved ice and a slushy, currently lemon or coffee. The coffee granita? Unreal - not too sweet, strong espresso with rich whipped cream on top? The perfect summer treat and one way ticket back into the proverbial good life Italian food does so well.

The speciality pie pizza was amazing, the slice was thin but the crust was very chewy I loved the taste of the ingredients. It was probably one of the most delicious pizzas I had. I will definitely come back to visit more than once, the salad was fresh and very light refreshing, the iced latte was good. I made the mistake not to eat the pastry/bakery item on the spot, the cream was good but it kinda made the pastry moist if you don't eat it right away, but overall, I had such a great lunch here. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside.

The pastries weren’t my favorite, but the drinks and pizza are good. It has a nice Italian feel, and the outdoor seating is perfect for summer.
