The 16 Best Restaurants in Mountain View - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Even though it’s one of the busiest spots in town, Doppio Zero always feels cozy and intimate, mostly thanks to the warmly lit dining room and the crackling fire in the open kitchen’s wood-burning pizza oven. The restaurant may be best known for its gorgeously charred, blistered Neapolitan pizzas, but don’t overlook the crispy fried artichokes, tender housemade gnocchi in eggplant sauce, or braised wild boar over fresh fettuccine. When the weather is nice, grab a table out front and pretend you’re dining al fresco on a piazza in Naples." - gabi moskowitz

Overall great experience when I visited. The staff was very attentive and there’s many employees that check on you to make sure everything is going well. The nectarine salad was nice and refreshing. Food is fairly priced. The pizza was a little messy, mainly because the pizza wasn’t completely cut and was split into 4 slices - each slice was a bit large in my opinion, but maybe that’s the style!?

This is a great pizza place! We ordered Doppio Zero. We had never had pizza with this texture before. It was very fragrant and tender. I don't know if it's the authentic taste, but I really like it. I hope to have the opportunity to go to Italy in the future.

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had their gnocchi which was very good. The tomato sauce was tasty but not heavy. The dollop of ricotta cheese added to the overall taste. Portion was good sized. Service as first rate. Restaurant was very crowded even though it was. Tuesday night. Reservation highly recommended. When I told the server that it was my wife's birthday, he came out with a dessert with two of his colleagues to sing Happy Birthday to my wife. There is a multi story parking garage nearby that I suggest you use. Street parking is very difficult. Overall a very pleasant experience and will go again.

We went out for Italian food and everything was amazing. The gnocchi was rich and comforting, perfectly cooked in a flavorful tomato sauce. The truffle fries were crispy, fragrant, and addictive. The figs pizza was a standout light, airy crust topped with creamy burrata, prosciutto, arugula, shaved parmesan, and a touch of balsamic that balanced everything beautifully. Great flavors, generous portions, and a really enjoyable experience overall. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

Google
a true gem for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. The flavors are rich, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and everything we ordered was on point. What really stood out was the fried calamari—fresh, not frozen, and incredibly light and flavorful. It was a pleasant surprise and easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and proper technique. Whether you’re in the mood for pasta, pizza, or seafood, this spot won’t disappoint. Definitely worth a visit!

Food: tasty (especially the arugula salad and burrata pizza. My usual orders) Service: fast and attentive (Michael from Naples was excellent) Ambiance: very fun and comfy A great go-to place! I've always liked this place in MV location and have been long time repeat customer and now very pleased that they finally opened one in Campbell !!

We tried a variety of dishes at Doppio Zero — burrata, potato croquettes, French fries, gnocchi, mushroom ravioli, margherita pizza, and asparagus soup. There are plenty of appetizers to choose from! The portions are on the smaller side and the menu is a bit pricey, but the mushroom ravioli and burrata are definite standouts and highly recommended. The ambience is nice, and the staff is friendly, making for an enjoyable dining experience.

My dinner was a an excellent experience. The cocktail I ordered was very unique and extremely flavorful. My daughter and I shared a salad which was definitely big enough to do so. My daughter had the spinach ravioli and I was brave enough to try something out of my comfort zone and was so glad I did. The squid ink pasta was soooo good and the manager said it is handmade right there in the restaurant. I had the tiramissu for dessert and asked our ever so helpful server for his recommendation on the coffee drink and the one suggested with the amaretto was the perfect choice. Can't wait until we get a chance to come back. Plus, the pizza must really be good here too, because in the time I was sitting there I must have counted over 30 pizza boxes heading towards the door!

Yelp
Ambiance was beautiful! Clean, new, aesthetics were 10/10. Food was delish- every dish came out perfect, had great flavors, fresh ingredients and would order again. We got seated fairly quickly (was busy for a Wed night), server was nice but a little slow and very quiet (considering it's busy/loud). Had to ask for refills, he seemed maybe new- but could also be working out the kinks of a new restaurant. Overall I'd definitely come back, the drinks looked good, although we didn't try them. Recommended: beets, Brussels sprouts (with bacon!) , caprese, mortadella pizza, and margarita pizza. Everything was great!

Yelp
Had a mid lunch snack at the bar. The owners or managers clearly had more interest in the soccer match than their restaurant. They had a meeting around me. Then the one of them got lunch and proceeded to work next to me even letting an employee lean on my chair at the bar. What was even worse is they cursed in Italian the entire time. Food was sub par but the server was the only redeeming factor. Side note I was one of three guest at the bar. le loro madri dovrebbero vergognarsi

Yelp
Best pizza I've had in the Bay Area. Went twice in two weeks. The Funghi pizza was my favorite. Great flavor in the dough. Thin and wood fired style. Not strict neopolitan style but it was excellent. Great location in Campbell close to the parking garage. Enjoyed both lunch and dinner. Some opening kinks will be sorted soon. Super affordable fancy night out with great drinks too.

Yelp
Yay for a restaurant open after 9pm! No wait after 9pm :) New place in downtown Campbell so expect it to be busy during prime time dinner hours. I've been waiting to have my Doppio Zero Pizza for the longest time. (I've only had it once at the Concord location.) It was so delicious that I did a happy dance - I will be a regular at this Campbell location. Hubby liked his margarita pizza but he definitely liked my Doppio Zero pizza better. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fun place, has good music, great for large groups.

Yelp
We couldn't have a more splendid time. We went for appetizers and cocktails. We ordered truffle fries, the peach salad, the burrata and prosciutto with bread and a dessert. We also ordered a signature cocktail. The portions were huge. We could've fed three+ people. The cocktail was delicious. I had the dragon fruit cocktail. The price was on point. Around $85 including tax and tip. The atmosphere was great, decor was nice, they have outside dining. We will definitely come here again.

Yelp
For dinner, we made reservations to try out the new and local Doppio Zero here in Campbell! I've never been to a Doppio Zero, but per the suggestions in our party, it sounded like it would be a delicious experience. We made reservations for a party of four beforehand, which saved us time. It was fairly busy both inside and outside, but there was enough seating for us to decide between the two. Since the weather was warm and cooling down after the heat wave, we decided to eat outdoors. The restaurant is placed perfectly on a corner where you can enjoy your meal in an Italian bistro seating, shaded by umbrellas. It was peaceful and tranquil, especially with the local live acoustic music. Their starter bread is a crispy crust with pillowy bread in the center, pairing well with the oil and vinegar dipping option. It was so delicious, I kept reaching in the basket for more! For our appetizer we ordered the fried artichokes and the caprese. Anywhere I can try and compare, I will always order the caprese. The tomatoes weren't as ripe as I prefer them, but the rest of the dish and presentation were tasty. I like their vinaigrette a lot and it paired well with the cheese and basil! I would still order this again and update in the future. The real showstopper was the fried artichoke. The seasoning on the artichoke and the ranch dipping was a 10/10. It stopped everyone at the table in their tracks and we almost ordered a second platter due to its popularity - the downside? We just ordered our meals and didn't want to fill up too soon. Definitely a recommendation regardless on if you're an artichoke fan or not. I personally don't care for artichoke but this was an absolute delight that I've been thinking about since Thursday. As for our meals, I ordered the vegan ravioli which was a yummy and comforting plate of pasta. The filling was spinach that was perfectly packed and the sauce complemented it very well. I always enjoy trying a vegan option and this did not disappoint! The other three in my party ordered pizza and the calzones. The crust was a hit and the flavor profile and combination were well matched too. I had such a wonderful time at this location, and to top it off - I ordered the hazelnut icecream that was reminiscent of a ferrero rocher chocolate! It had a fudge center of the icecream with praline and nutty topping around the icecream. It was so creamy and fresh too. Overall, if you're looking to surprise a friend or even just a delicious Italian meal, make this your next spot. Be sure to sit outside, it adds to the atmosphere!

Yelp
I had another amazing meal. The bread tasted so good. I love dipping it in their infused chili oil. I got the pizza margharita again. The crust is nice and billowy and melts in your mouth. Their pizza takes me back to my childhood, a bit reminiscent of our local Guido's restaurant on South Bascom (run by an Italian guy). The crust has the same texture that I haven't been able to find since! Doppio Zero is just what downtown Campbell needs. I get some Mondays off, and most of the better restaurants are closed.

Yelp
I chanced upon this spot when I was walking around the neighborhood a week ago. It was bustling and I made a mental note to come back. I had dinner here last night and was pleasantly surprised. The ravioli and fungo pizza were excellent! The pizza is apparently inspired by Naples which coincidentally I just read is the best food town in the world. Service was fast and the food came out in just a couple of minutes. I will be coming back for sure.

Yelp
Food was ok But they forgot the anchovies and the prosciutto on my margarita pizza?? It's really a one time visit for me , sorry guys the competition 600 feet away across the street is way better Service was fine. Pics included

Yelp
The best and softest Ravioli ever!! I've been waiting for this restaurant to open for ages and it's finally here. Beautiful interiors and tastiest food in the town. This place has been overflowing with people hence, please expect the servers to be really busy. We also ordered a margarita pizza which was delicious along with the amazing espresso martini fizz and blood orange beer. The bread basket was highly disappointing and came after the food was served.

Yelp
Never been to the other locations so I was really excited to try this spot considering the hype around it on social media. Good pizza is always something I'm on the lookout for! My friends and I went to DZ right when it opened on Memorial Day. There was a small line already, but we got seated pretty quickly with the option of choosing inside or outside. Interior of the restaurant was nice enough for me to mention it right off the bat. For food, they have neopolitan dishes and pizza. I ended up underestimating the size of the pizza because it looked really small in the photos but it's a decent size. I got the vesuvio, and my friends got the fungo and fettucine wild boar. I didn't try their dishes so I can't say anything on their behalf but apparently the pizza was good enough that my friend, who never finishes her food, finished it! That says something. Anyways I enjoyed my vesuvio, loads of mozzarella on it and I added their spicy oil which they offered after putting down our dishes onto the table. I'd definitely consider DZ if I'm craving pizza. My only complaint would have to be the service. I don't know why or how, but it took about twenty or thirty minutes to order our food despite parties coming in after us and getting their drinks/appetizers before our server came by. Don't really know what to say to that. This review would be a 3.5/5 but the pizza is so good I'll round it up to a 4...

Yelp
Unfortunately a disappointing long-awaited first visit to Doppio Zero in Campbell for my birthday dinner. Firstly, the space is gorgeous and the dining room is large and airy. There is also outdoor seating. On a weekday early evening, it wasn't busy and we were seated immediately without a reservation (which we attempted but we're not able to get online). Initial service was attentive. We ordered 3 apps - the broccolini, artichokes, and olives. We specified we do not eat dairy, and got cheese removed from one dish. The artichokes were excellent! The broccolini would have been much better if it didn't arrive cold. We did have to ask for bread, though it appeared they were bringing it to several other tables. The meal went downhill quickly after that. Husband got the vegan pizza and I got the vegan ravioli. When they brought it, it had a creamy sauce that DID NOT look vegan. I asked the staff if this was vegan and they confidently said yes. I checked the menu and the vegan ravioli has tomato sauce, which I had to point out to them. They agreed to "swap out" my dish for the correct one, though acted as though they were doing me a favor and I had ordered wrong. Husband liked the pizza enough (it was bland but crust was good), and asked for crushed red pepper. They did not understand what this was ("fresh pepper?"), and then after going to look for it, told us they had run out. He finished his meal while I was still waiting for my dish to be remade (dining room was maybe half full). Husband wanted to get a latte, but they were ready to bring us the bill. Didn't ask us about bringing a dessert menu at all. It seemed like they were rushing us out of there. Couldn't get the latte since there was no nondairy milk. We ended up giving our leftovers to an unhoused person we encountered on the way back to the car, so that was the most redeeming quality of the evening.

Yelp
I give them 5 stars because they've just opened this location and are probably still figuring things out. We went to their old location in Cupertino and always really enjoyed everything. My real rating is 4 based on abrupt service which I will explain. We made a reservation for lunch and were seated right away. We ordered a fungo pizza and nectarine salad to share which was just the right amount of food for 2 people. Really enjoyed both dishes! The food came out really quickly. We noticed some tables got bread but we didn't get any. Not sure if you have to of ask. The reason I would knock off a star is for the abrupt service. While it was quick it was really abrupt and after taking our order the waiter would come by and ask us how we were doing but almost as if he was already on the way to another table. He would take plates away the second we were done and even brought the bill out while I was still finishing my last slice of pizza. Overall it made us feel a bit rushed and like they wanted us to get out as soon as possible. Since this is my first visit and I know they've just opened leaving it at 5 stars, but real rating is 4 since the service was too abrupt for this kind of restaurant.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch with my daughter in downtown Campbell today. Local folks, check out the new-ish Doppio Zero restaurant in downtown Campbell. Great food, and a really pretty and stylish interior. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and the place looked great. Plenty of seating and space. The location is great as there is a parking lot nearby. The drinks were great and creative. The service was excellent and attentive. I would say most of the food was delicious with one glaring exception, the pizza tasted burnt. We had 3 pizzas and we all enjoyed the flavors but with each bite you kept tasting the burnt dough. Comparing this to what I've tasted at the MTV location, I have to give this location a 4 star review.

Yelp
I went with friends last night for dinner... save yourself the trouble and skip this place!! It was so loud inside we couldn't even have a conversation. The service was mediocre and we felt forgotten about at times. The best thing that we had was the bread and olive oil. We ordered a pizza, the octopus and the gnocchi. None of it was good. The gnocchi was dense and tough, the pizza had a strange texture and was off putting and the octopus was rubbery. We didn't even bother trying dessert. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Yelp
First time at Doppio Zero ever when they had their soft opening, which I was surprised wasn't busy that Sunday evening. My fiancé & I were seated right away, & service was great! The aesthetics of the bar was super cute & I like how open the restaurant is to the outdoor seating area which brings a lot of natural light in! For food, my fiancé and I shared the brussel sprouts and the salssicia pizza. I felt like the brussel sprouts were a little too salty, & the pizza was really thing/wet & toppings fell off most of the time we both grabbed a slice I got gnocchi, my fiancé got the branzino and we both enjoyed our meal! I felt like the portion was just the right amount. Overall I didn't feel like I was in a food coma leaving the restaurant but I feel well fed/satisfied! My boyfriend & I heard doppio zero is popular & I'd like to come back & try more things from the menu!

Yelp
Food was amazing. Service was great even with their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony happening. Terrific ambiance. My hubby loved his Peroni Nastro Azzuro. He said the beer was refreshing and unique in its taste. Then our Calamari and Shrimp appetizer arrived. They were perfectly fried and served with two yummy sauces. Our Polpettine was delicious little meatballs in marinara sauce. We shared a Salsiccia pizza. It was the BEST PIZZA we have ever had. The crust was so good and it was large enough to share. We met Angelo, he was one of the owners. Fantastic guy. The servers were all very attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend Doppio Zero.

Yelp
Doppio in Mountain View is one of our favorites for pizza was super happy that they started this Campbell location closer to home and for South Bay patrons to access. Came here to celebrate kinder graduation and while it was easy to get a reservation on a weeknight, noticed that Thursday through weekend is a bit harder! Service was top notch and everything we drank was strong and an elevated cocktail! Little tried the gnocchi and she was in love. The calamari and the pizzas always gold standard! Love the inviting decor and the fun, warm vibe! Will be going back for more!

Yelp
Love this new location for Doppio. It's brand new for Campbell (the old rocket fizz candy store) so I won't give it a bad review at all. Great open space and beautiful decor and for the 2nd day. Quite impressive service and food.

Yelp
My partner & I have been anticipating the opening of this divine pizza restaurant since the signs were posted last year. We love their Mountain View location so we were really happy to see that their Campbell location was finally open. We arrived about 5 minutes after they opened so we didn't have to wait to get seated. We shared their gnocchi and pavola e pepe pizza. The gnocchi was ok but the pizza was *chef's kiss*. I used to live in NYC and I've tried all of the highly rated pizzas there but Doppio's pizza is UNMATCHED! Their panna cotta is also worth ordering. Be sure to arrive as soon as they open so you don't have to wait!

Yelp
I think this was either opening day or day 3. Either way it was definitely their soft opening. I've been to their Mountain View and old Cupertino location. Campbell was by far the largest, most aesthetically pleasing and very pretty space in my opinion. Food was pretty solid. definitely known for their neopolitan pizzas. Not pictured we had their meatballs which were OK. Nothing special and lacked flavor. House wine (also not pictured) was very good and highly recommend getting the bottle. Pizzas were tasty and fresh. My squid ink pasta was good but probably won't get it next time. It didn't seem like tagliatelle noodles more on the spaghetti side. The sauce was probs my favorite part but overall it was just good. Service was a bit hit or miss given they just opened so I imagine it will get better. It was just really slow and we were waiting a bit to get our orders. Food did come out at a reasonable time. Matcha cocktail was good if you like matcha. Ambience and overall vibe was nice and very fitting for downtown Campbell. I'd recommend if you want an elevated pizza night experience grab a couple pies with a bottle. Perfect date night place too!

Yelp
Had high hopes for this new restaurant but left disappointed. The positives is that the fried artichokes we got were delicious, but that was the only good thing about the food. The caprese salad was alright, the tomatoes were not that ripe and not cut with any thought on how people could eat them. The biggest disappointment was the pizza. It had a nice crust but the middle of both our pizzas was floppy and not crisp. You couldn't hold a slice without it flopping down in the middle and didn't hold any of the toppings well. Also my jalepenos on the top of my pizza were not cooked all the way and basically were raw. I wouldn't waste my time coming here again

Yelp
TLDR: Food = 4 Service = 2 Bar = 1 So excited to receive a new restaurant in Campbell. Tonight was my special Father's Day Dinner! Made our reservation and they were able to seat us immediately. It was really busy and I'm glad to see that people are interested in trying Doppio! It took a while to have a server check on us. We were able to give our drink orders only to wait for almost 30 minutes, and the drinks weren't prepared as advertised. The Espresso Martini Fizz, advertised being topped with Prosecco and a toasted marshmallow, was just a standard issue espresso martini. Yes, it was good, but when we asked the server, the response was, "I'll have it re-made," then returning 20 minutes later stating it's made accurately and sometimes they don't have marshmallows or prosecco. Yes, an Italian restaurant not having prosecco. lol. Somehow we were able to get two rounds of drinks over 90 minutes (for 2 people). If managers wonder why they're losing revenue it's because the bar can't keep up, or the bar isn't performing well. Food came out before drinks. Food was really quite good. Servers were all over the place, but the food runners and bus staff were all over it. I kept hearing how great the bread was, unfortunately despite ordering bread for the table, it never arrived. We were so bent on our experience, we just gave up. I think there's an issue with the bar. Every table (4 separate tables) around us were returning drinks because they were made improperly or were not satisfactory. I particularly enjoyed hearing a customer debate with their server as to why a gin martini was so strong! Their reply, "A martini is liquor and ice, we can add olive juice if you'd like." But it was in the form of a debate and not coming from curiosity or of service. The drink sitch was so bad, that as the server was walking by tables and we're trying to get his attention he'd spit out quips like, "I sure hope that complimentary martini is keeping you satisfied while we remake it..." or "You now have your drink, sir, and I hope you're happy" Passive aggressiveness reaching new heights at Doppio! I'm sure the server is also feeling frustrated, but I as a customer was so sick of hearing it. People were trying to order food, only to learn the items they wanted, a specific pizza, wasn't available. People were cancelling food and drink orders. The energy quickly turned from fun and festive to "what the hell are we doing here?" The cadence was so wonky, it was such a cruddy non-starter to the evening. They've been open about a month. I get there are growing pains, there are wrinkles, there is storming. Bring on the norming and performing, people! IF I ever return, and have a better experience I'll provide an update. For now, it's a big "No Thanks." For the manager, we were Check #153 if you need to follow up with anyone. Good luck, Doppio.

Yelp
Friends and I went to Doppio Zero for lunch on a Saturday evening. We made reservations for 6:30 PM and arrived promptly. This location used to be a Flights restaurant. There was outdoor seating along the front but not on the side, which would have helped since the restaurant is on a corner and there was a line of people waiting to get in. The hostess asked for our name, looked for it, and said she could not find it. She physically turned away and waved us off! Fortunately, the manager was nearby and promptly found us a table. The same hostess seated us and suggested, as we were sitting down, that we must have made the reservation at the wrong location!! A few minutes later, I asked the same hostess if something could be done about the A/C since it was blowing directly on our table, but she shook her head and walked away. She was certainly NOT the hostess with the mostest. In addition, the place was extremely loud. The three of us ended the night with sore throats from having to yell to hear each other. The tables were overcrowded, reminiscent of a mall food court but much louder. Despite the noise, the waiters were prompt, and we sampled a couple of white wines. The white wine selection was not impressive; we all ended up ordering the Frank Family Chardonnay, which was just okay. They seemed to have a better red wine selection. For the food, we ordered the octopus, gnocchi, and the Fichi E Prosciutto pizza. Surprisingly, there was no bread and oil/vinegar, a staple at every Italian dinner table. Although they didn't charge for the bread, they only brought it out after we requested it, and sadly, it was the best part of the meal. The octopus was served as one long tentacle, which was unappetizing and tough to eat. The gnocchi was chewy and doughy. The pizza was no better - the dough was very thin, almost like a roti (Indian bread), with too much cheese and not enough dried figs or prosciutto. We didn't finish it. We were initially charged for the wine samples we had tasted, but the charge was removed when we pointed it out. The bar was nicely set up, the servers were quick, and the saving grace was the manager who found us a table and adjusted the A/C.

Yelp
I'm a Doppio Zero regular, but this was my first time at the new Campbell location. It is Doppio, leveled up! Incredible ambience, interior, service, cocktails, food, vibes. We enjoyed the Doppio Bourbon, Pornstar, and Matchaman cocktails. The fried artichoke appetizer is just so delicious. The proscuitto is freshly sliced here, and we really enjoyed the appetizer with burrata and the complementary bread. For mains, we all went with some of our favorites - margherita pizza, Doppio Zero pizza, and the branzino. The crusts on the authentic Napoletana pizza were the perfect mix of puffy and crispy. For dessert, we enjoyed the chocolate cake and a round of affogatos - so, so good. Can't wait to return here soon!

Yelp
Like many of the other reviews, I didn't want to believe it but the service was so trash. The hostess wasn't very welcoming and kind of confused when we asked for a walk-in reservation. Our food took an hour plus to arrive with no updates from the wait staff. The food wasn't actually bad, but just for the customer service I would never come back.

Yelp
Me and my partner got seated and waited for 25 minutes for a waiter. No water was offered. Everyone who came after got serviced, but us. We were very upset, this unfortunate event occurred.

Yelp
Visited for opening day at their new downtown Campbell location. They have a beautiful open patio and the interior has a very gardeny indoor/outdoor feel. Very nice large bar. Being that it was opening day, it was very busy but lively and fun. The owner Angelo walked around and introduced himself, very nice. We've been to the Mountain View location, so we knew it would be good pizza. A lot of us are thinking, do we really need another Italian place downtown? Every place has a specialty though. We now have 3 dedicated pizza places but the pizza is very different. Their pizza was done in 60 seconds, we got it before our drinks even arrived. The dough is crispy on the edges and a little soft in the middle, depending on toppings. The red sauce was light and bright, fresh motz topped it for a perfect balance of flavor. We folded ours like tacos to hold the arugula in. I tried the house red wine for $10, it went great with the pizza. They gave a large bar menu with specialty cocktails, beer and wine. Their happy hour is well worth a visit from 4:30-6, excluding holidays. Our server said they would likely start happy hour in about 2 weeks. 1 pizza fed two ppl, however next time I would try a meat dish to go with it. If you're really hungry you could eat the entire pie. We'll definitely be back to try all the other delicious items on their menu. A total plus is the patio for summer .

Yelp
Food was amazing but the service as not great. We ordered the Diovola pizza, Fungai pizza and the fettuccine wild boar. When they brought us the pizza we told them the diovola pizza didn't look right and the server kept reassuring us it was the right pizza. Turns out it wasn't the right pizza and then later brought us the right one. We ordered truffle fries that had zero truffle on them. We told our server they were just regular fries and he once again reassured us they were truffle. We sent them back and then told us he had tried them as well and there wasn't any truffle. We then ask for a birthday desert which said they did. He charges us for the "free" desert and truffle fries we had sent back. Overall good food but not great service

Yelp
Drinks and food are fabulous!!! The place is beautiful. We got 3 pizzas and made a few changes to all 3 of them and the kitchen/chef was so kind to follow all our requests. One of the pizzas came in a bunny shape, but my 10 y.o. didn't really like that. It would be better if they add that option in a separate kids menu. Parmigiana di melanzane and salmon are really good too. Disappointed that they didn't bring the complimentary bread at the table. When we were about to leave we read on the menu that it needs to be requested, I personally find it odd. Cocktails are so unique in presentation and flavors. Overall an excellent experience. Bravi!

Yelp
I stopped by the new Doppio Zero and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the restaurant. The dining area and bar were very nicely decorated and the ambiance was very pleasant. I ordered two appetizers, the truffle fries and the Polpo All Griglia, which were both incredible. Not to mention, the service was excellent. My server was very attentive to my table and the employees were all very friendly. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are looking for a nice meal and a good vibe.

Yelp
In short, not good enough. There are so many Italian options around here, this place is definitely the worst. We waited a lot for it to open, as we live in downtown and eat out a lot. The pizzas were ok, all the rest was not good. I hope they improve.

Yelp
I love going to the Mountain View location and was excited when a closer one was opening. Sadly the reviews about service are all correct. The hostess at the front were not helpful and oddly confrontational. Luckily the waitstaff were really welcoming and helpful. Food was great, but the adversarial intersection with the hostesses ruined the first half of our meal.

Yelp
We were SO excited about Doppio Zero opening up in our neighborhood. The restaurant is beautiful and very thoughtfully decorated. We sat outside and ordered 2 glasses of wine, broccolini appetizer, and a white pizza. Food and wine was fabulous. Hostess was lovely and very friendly. Service however was horrible :( our waiter did not seem to understand the menu and he was not friendly despite our friendly banter towards him. The menus were left on the table along with the bread basket and empty dishes which caused us to have to put stuff on the ground so we had room to eat our pizza. My husband ordered a 2nd glass of wine and we were told that the bar had taken a break (?) so it was going to take some time to get the wine. Confused by that but okay. Then he came back multiple times asking us if we had gotten the broccolini or pizza yet. Like yes, we've already finished that 30 mins ago. So that was frustrating. Then I asked to see the dessert menu and he didn't come back to ask if we wanted to order anything off of it so we got the bill, put down enough cash and left. Honestly the atmosphere, food, and proximity is so perfect so I really hope they can hire some great servers to help enhance the overall experience. We will still be back!

Yelp
Welcome to Campbell DZ!! The vibes and flavors are hitting the spot! We came after a week of opening and was able to get a table quickly before the 7pm rush! Service was awesome, drinks were fantastic and food was delicious!

Yelp
Honestly... It was good. There are some logistics that need to be worked out. Service was slow even though I got there right at opening and there were only two tables being occupied outside. As a person eating alone I do a lot of people watching while at restaurants so here are some observations: 1) the hosts seem a little green. They sat a couple with a baby at a tiny 2 person table where the high chair would be been extremely in the way. Good on the couple to ask to move to another table. 2) there was weird pressure to order everything at once? It seemed that every table was doing the same. Maybe because we had to wait for any service for a while 3) the food runner has no idea what table is what. She walked up to many tables with the wrong food. 4) my appetizer and my pizza came out at the same time and my drink came after that. Timing was definitely an issue. And this was probably due to the silent pressure to order everything at once. Food part. It was relatively good! I got the Bufalina pizza. The crust was flavorful and had a nice chew however, due to the pizza type (maybe?) the sauce or the cheese made the middle of my pizza SOGGY. Like wet. I still ate it because I assume it had to do with the heavy cheese but strange. The olives were good! Same as any marinated olives you might order. Was hoping they'd be a light appetizer before the pizza came but they ended up becoming a side haha. I got the Golden Negroni which was very good. I've never had a Negroni before so I can't base it off anything but I enjoyed it. This place is brand new! A little patience and you'll enjoy your experience! I hope to go back in a month and see a well run ship.

Yelp
We went to the new Doppio Zero in Campbell to celebrate my wife's birthday. And this OG place did not disappoint! The vibe was lovely and service/ timing from our waitress Merima was outstanding. We asked for the complementary freshly baked bread which was a perfect start to our meal. I informed my server that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and she brought out a free tiramisu for her at the end of our meal!! I have been at the Mountain View Doppio zero location and let me tell you the me and with my wife not sure if they could show us even half the service that MV's location does but they were great! Doppio zero in every location has really showed us what true service is. We are really in awe! Thank you Doppio! We will be at every location you guys have!

Yelp
Go for the drinks, appetizers and maybe some pasta like Ravioli. Pizzas were not as expected. The outer crust was all burnt, base was too thin to hold the sauce and there weren't much toppings. I have had better wood fire pizzas at other places. Few desserts like the hazelnut something and tiramisu was good. I am 100% sure this is not an authentic italian place. The taste was very average. Also, it's super noisy inside so no privacy at all. I couldn't hear a thing my waitress said. Just communicated in sign language.

Yelp
The food is okay if you don't know how to make Italian food. My daughter is used to my cooking so she didn't like anything here. I love the service. Everyone is very friendly and polite. I didn't like that some of the servers didn't understand Italian. She tried correcting me when I was ordering the Formaggi Sage pizza. She said the singular version. I corrected her and said it's plural, hence, there's no 'O' at the end. I grew up speaking Italian. I think staff should learn the basics in order to know the menu. Don't correct native speakers. My Italian isn't great now, but I told her, "no, è plurale, formaggi, non è formaggio. Formaggio è singulare. It's not her fault, all staff need to be trained about basic Italian if they work here. The ambiance is relaxing and we were seated at a booth just as I requested. I loved the decor and especially the decor in the restroom. It was also super clean.

Yelp
I thought about factoring in the fact that this place just opened into my review but honestly I'm tired of making excuses for people in general, and for a Father's Day dinner we deserved better. Also this is a chain so the management has plenty of experience opening restaurants. First off, my dad's review is that this seemed like what a private equity company's version of an Italian restaurant would be. On to mine: the ambience is not good. The acoustics are terrible which make the restaurant unfathomably loud and there were questionable aesthetic choices such as plastic table tops that our dishes slid all over. Obviously cheap finishes that screamed wholesale discount. Service: they sat three people at a tiny table with again said slippery plastic tops so our food was sliding everywhere and nothing fit on the table. I felt a bit bad because they were clearly understaffed and our server was working the whole restaurant but that's really not the customer's problem. Our waiter was pretty inattentive and didn't give serving spoons for anything so after a while it felt like we were the ones doing the service. Other standard issues like getting our drinks way late into the meal and having to ask for things multiple times also existed. Finally, the food. I don't have much to say. It was not good. I'll drive the extra 20 minutes to Terun in Palo Alto. We couldn't wait to get out of that loud, slippery mess. Most of the food was cold. My aperol spritz was comically gross. I feel a bit guilty writing this but honestly in this economy I think about every penny I spend and so frankly we all left feeling a bit pissed. I would not give them another chance. This is Nor Cal good Italian food is a dime a dozen. Hard pass.

Yelp
Been here twice so far and check-in is very weird: multiple people approach you and have an attitude. They do not make you feel welcome nor do they have any order. People cut me both times. Also, both experiences were drastically different. 1st time: no bread offered, 7 different servers come up to you, food is burnt and almost inedible. Octopus was burnt and raw at the same time and our fungi white pizza was burnt on the bottom and dry. Drinks came out differently as advertised. 2nd time: improvement, but less service and better food. Empty waters most of the time, but finally got their ok bread and olive oil. Very inconsistent, but both were mediocre experiences. The venue is beautiful though, and I hope they work out their fresh opening woes.

Yelp
We're excited to try a New place... the fried artichokes were alright ... the tomatoes for the caprese salad were not ripe.. the pizza we wanted to order was not available at 8 pm..( 2 hours remaining into dinner service and they were sold out) the pizza we did order wasn't even sliced. the expresso martini tasted like dirty coffee grounds ... and the place was so LOUD, we couldn't hear one another ... but had no problem hearing the four too next to us... This place could be really great, they need to work out the kinks.

Yelp
We went to Doppio Zero last night and we weren't too impressed. The little gem salad we shared was excellent, but the pastas were so so. My ravioli was too rich and my husband's gnocchi was too doughy. Maybe the pizzas are better? Also, it's deafeningly loud inside and having a conversation is impossible.

Yelp
Super thrilled to see Doppio Zero doing well with the opening their (fifth?) location in the Bay Area. I've followed them since their MV location. We rarely go to new restaurants so early on in their opening phase, but saw promising reviews and photos of their food and decided to make a visit. 1. Their main hostess (maitre d?) is a power house! Someone who can warm you over the phone as well as in person, and knows exactly what she's doing. She's friendly, warm and rocks a vibe of "hospitality". I can tell she's experienced. Bestie deserves a raise! 5/5 2. Service was good but not outstanding, our table was touched within a minute of seating -- our server was decently attentive but lacks enthusiasm and personality... but this trait is hard to come by nowadays anyway so.. 4/5 3. Appetizers - truffle fries 4/5 and I LOVED the artichoke dish! 10/5 4. My boyfriend's pizza was the most disappointing.. I think they made the dough too thin in the middle (it was paper thin.. not even exaggerating) and when he picked up his slices EVERYTHING slid/dripped off... I can see a shallow pool of liquid in the center and the cheese and meat just slid/fell off like a gloopy mess. But the crust (part that was not drenched) - had a nice flavor. 2/5 5. Mushroom ricotta ravioli - 4/5. I thought this was very delicious but the filling was a tad too salty that with every bite I feel like it dried out my mouth more and more. 6. The Mockingbird 2/5. The cocktail was unbalanced, and the bitter factor was overpowering. The cocktail did not come out cold so I'm assuming they topped it off with lukewarm soda water. Overall -- I believe this restaurant is promising but still has some things to work on. This experience will not deter me from coming back in several months, after the dust settles. I am rooting for them but cannot justify a better rating at this time. The next time I return, I hope to share a five star review.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my husband's 55th birthday. We enjoyed the Mountain View location and were delighted to find a Campbell location had open up. Made a reservation for 5:00pm thinking we would enjoy the happy hour specials we had seen advertised in MV. This location did not offer any happy hour specials. When we got there the restaurant was not full and we asked to sit by the window instead of at the table by the kitchen entrance that the hostess took us to. She moved us by the window then told us we had to be done by 6:00pm because someone had reserved that table! Really tacky to put a time frame on a dinner reservation that stated we were celebrating a birthday! Then we had a young woman as a server who was terrible. She was not friendly and then passed us along to another server not explaining why she was leaving. The new server we got was worse than the first woman. I ordered pasta and I had to ask for bread. She brought a basket of stale bread that was hard as a rock. When I told her the bread was old she laughed and didn't understand that I was complaining about the bread being bad. She did replace the bread but it also wasn't that good. My husband ordered a pizza and it came out cold while my pasta was served hot but on a plate instead of in a pasta bowl which would have made it easier to eat. Overall a miserable experience. We couldn't wait to get out of there. IF YOU WANT A GOOD ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN CAMPBELL GO TO LOCARNO SORRENTO INSTEAD. IT'S JUST DOWN THE STREET!

Yelp
Finally some real Italian restaurant in downtown Campbell!!! Me and my family came here for dinner and the restaurant was really busy we ask for a table for a party of 4 and they were able to accommodate us very quick. Food presentation was very nice and the taste was incredible. The manager Santiago came up to ask how everything was and everything was great. Thank you Doppio Zero for being in Campbell

Yelp
The one star isn't due to food considering I didn't end up eating here. It's more so towards the hostess and not being professional. I put my name down and she told me it would be about a 20-30 minute wait, I walk up and down downtown Campbell waiting for a text letting me know my table was ready. After about 40 minutes I went inside and I asked for an update on when we would be seated, she told me "oh I have one table open....in about 45 minutes" and i said "you told me 20-30 minutes almost an hour ago..." and she told me "yeah so people are staying at tables longer than expected." I walked right out. I understand places get busy, but I personally feel like she didn't get the proper training and didn't know what she was doing. Businesses lose business over unprofessional workers, especially when it's the first employee you talk to when you walk through the door.
