Is The Republican National Convention Keeping Diners Away From Milwaukee Restaurants? - Eater Chicago

"Dorsia, located on Brady Street in Milwaukee’s East Side, was highlighted by Chicago journalist Brandon Pope who praised the restaurant's food scene. Despite the mixed reactions to a photo of a pasta flight served on a wooden plank, Pope remained positive about the homemade pasta." - Ashok Selvam

Dorsia was amazing!! Rachael was our waitress and her service was great and speedy. We got the calamari appetizer and the flight of pasta. We got a flight of four and we had plenty of leftovers between the two of us. The pasta for the flight is $14-16 and the entree is double that. A great place to eat and enjoy the ambience!

OMG. . . OMG. . . OMG!!!! This restaurant is absolutely and utterly amazing. I mean seriously!!! We had a Saturday early evening reservation. Our waiter was Jaden who was absolutely and utterly amazing. He made our time at Dorsia absolutely and utterly amazing. I mean his service was so absolutely and utterly amazing that his tip was well over $100. I mean for real!!! Ask for him and your dining experience will be better than life itself. We started with the best appetizers - eggplant chips, fried Brussel sprouts (don’t get them fried too hard) and the cheesy garlic bread. Everything was absolutely and utterly amazing. We all got the pasta flights that included Alfredo, Pesto, Pomodoro, Piccante and lobster Mac. The pasta is delicious and plentiful. We also had their cheesecake. Mm mm good. . . You will not be disappointed!!!!

I went here over the weekend. They specialize in "Pasta Flights" where you can choose been 2-5 pasta dishes and they bring them out on a serving board, they have multiple protein options including lobster and duck too. Our server was attentive and the pasta was delicious, the meatball needed a little more flavor though, salt, pepper and oregano would have stepped it up! Ambiance was really cool too, dark, moody but a little campy as well. I loved all the "eye" paintings. I immediately noticed Prince looking around the room. Absolutely worth another visit.

Dorsia is spectacular and special! This restaurant resonates with the food culture of Brady Street! The bar is appealing, in a sexy and dangerous way. Its the best place for first dates and pure enjoyment, but the sidewalk seating arrangement is the best seat in the house, and it doesn't get any better than this place, too! You can watch the best sunsets over Brady Street while sipping glass after glass of house pinot grigio and enjoying the best pasta menu in the neighborhood! Dorsia is a cultural icon of the Brady Street food scene, and their product is fun, appealing, sexy, and seriously good! Best wine menu I've seen in a hot minute, too. That is, they serve perfect bottles of Caymus, Juggernaut, you just simply won't find better wine! This is it! Perfect for: Solo dates, first dates, social gatherings, girls' night, bougie drink lovers. *Bring your A game for food, cocktails, and wine!

We were so excited to try this place but it was honestly the worst pasta I’ve ever had. The reviews online and on social media were so good, so maybe we caught them on a bad night. We got the pasta flight (mac and cheese add lobster, pesto, and vodka). The lobster itself was the texture of styrofoam and the pasta was so salty it was almost inedible. The pesto I would consider just fine, and the vodka was the only one we really ate much of. The sauce was good but the noodles were all undercooked (they specialize in pasta?). The service wasn’t great either. We were sat at a really rocky table and they put a piece of cardboard under one leg but it didn’t fix it and they didn’t offer for us to move. The only thing that redeemed this place was the charcuterie board, which was a solid 5/10. For $80, I don’t recommend:(

Google
Food: Tried the pasta flight and didn't disappoint. House made pasta and sauces. The sauces were rich and creamy. Carbonara was creamy, piccante pasta was very flavorful and pesto was creamy and not grainy like I've had at other places. Prices were $14-16 per choice, but portions are well worth some leftovers for more lunch and dinners. Service: I went for a little lunch and sat at the bar. Service was great and great recommendations. Atmosphere: daytime Brady street, quaint, fun. Mood lighting, good for friend meet up or daytime date. There was a full bar too. Definitely could see a night time, drinks and dinner option. Tables, high tops and bar seating.

They had gluten-free options!!! It was soooo good! I loved the entire experience and I look forward to returning.

Google
Had a great first time here! Loved the vibes and service. The drinks were perfect, it tasted good and very strong which we love. I really enjoyed the appetizers, we got to try the bruschetta and calamari. The bruschetta was fresh, tangy and sweet. The bread was the perfectly toasted. I literally made my own after trying it here. The calamari was good on its own and with the sauce. I got to try the pasta flight. You can also customize and add different meats in the pasta. We got the pesto, carbonara, and the veg ravioli. The pesto was very creamy, but it didn’t have that much flavor with the basil pesto that I was looking forward too. The carbonara was good with mushrooms and peas. It was also very creamy and had a slightly earthy taste. I did like it more than the pesto. The veg rav was the best in my opinion! It had a good amount of filling and you couldn’t even tell the filling was vegetables. The flavor and seasoning was there. We also got to try a caramel dessert cake and it was very good. It wasn’t too sweet and had different textures on the top that made the dessert taste even better. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to try different pasta options and a place that gives out quality drinks and service.

Yelp
Went there tonight for my friends 21st birthday everything was amazing! Our server Jaden was fantastic!! Until we got the bill handed over or card n looked back at the bill n saw that we were charged for an extra appetizer. We went up to the bar n went to talk to the bartender n with the rudest attitude told me there was nothing she could do since our card was charged already. For an appetizer we were told they were out of!! We decided to wait for our server to come back to discuss the issue n watched the same bartender give them a hard time as well. Would 100% recommend going in to sit down n eat will advise against sitting at the bar due to the poor customer service received in my minimum contact with the bartender.

Yelp
Dorsia far exceeded my expectations on all accounts! This is a new, trendy spot on Brady St in Milwaukee. Walking in, the aesthetic is more modern and elevated but young feeling with the colored lights and techno music playing. I highly recommend making a reservation through Yelp ahead of dining here. I had no issues but my friends said it normally is booked a month out for prime days of the week! We started with a round of drinks and the calamari to start. I got the Toxic Masculinity which was a house, strawberry infused bourbon with ginger ale.. YUM! My fiancé got the Spritz Me Down which was on the sweeter side than bitter like a normal aperol spritz. My cousin and her boyfriend shared a bottle of red which they both enjoyed. The calamari was a good size to share and I loves that it came with both marinara and a pesto cream sauce to dip in. For entrees, they got the Pomodoro pasta (can choose to get the flight sized individual portion or the full dinner sized portions) and the supremo pizza. Both looked delicious and left them with many leftovers!! We decides to stick to what they are known for, the pasta flight! My fiancé and I shared the flight of Duck Carbonara, Saint Brady Speziata (their spicy vodka opt), and Pesto adding a meatball as well. All three were delicious! We were surprised to see the duck shredded for the Carbonara which made it also come across more salty than needed. I loved the Pesto with fresh burrata chunks on it and the vodka definitely had a kick to it for me! What our table found interesting was the meats must be cooked in a sauce because our meatball, although in the vodka sauce, still had marinara on it; and my cousin's chicken in the Pomodoro had Alfredo sauce on it. Either way, we left full and happy! The last piece of our experience was our server Jaden. He made our entire night with his bubbly and fun personality. He took care of us by checking in, making great recommendations, and making sure we had everything we needed at all points of dining. It was a pleasure to have great food but also a great server experience. I would come back and request to sit in his section.

Yelp
Honestly, we used to love this place. When we lived downtown, it was in our normal rotation of restaurants. It's been a year since we've been back, due to the difficulty of getting a reservation. We started with the egg plant chips and they were not as good as we remembered. We got 5 different pastas, which were fine...but there's much better Italian in MKE. The bar was not properly staffed, taking over 20 mins to get our first drink after we sat down. Also, the ambiance is like a hotel lobby bar at the W or a mix between pub club (for my MKE locals) and a club. Not really the environment for an expensive meal.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday. Around 3:30pm. Be aware they don't start food until 4pm. I believe the brunch ends at 2/3pm. However when we came in we were warmly greeted and told we could come have a drink at the bar which we happily indulged. I got a virgin blush mocktail . It's nice to see when they have non-alcoholic options so I gave it a try. It wasn't overly sweet but definitely plenty of juice in it. The inside of fairly small so I would highly recommend getting reservations on a busy night. Inside it had mood lighting and I would recommend wearing a jacket during the winter as it can get cold due to having windows line an entire wall. Our waitress was super nice and let us know exactly At 4 that we could start ordering. We started with the garlic cheese bread and it had a great Marina and isn't greasy like some cheese breads. For my entree I got the Chicken Italiana sandwich with fries. I knew the portions for the pasta were big but had no idea that goes for the sandwich's as well. There was a healthy portion of fries and the sandwich had two breasts on it so I was able to safe one of them for lunch the next day. I throughly enjoyed my meal. My husband got the pesto and sad the sauce was a little thick but overall a tasty dish. I would come here another time for the pasta next time.

Yelp
Pasta Flight! 1. Atmosphere is very dark, quaint, and romantic/gothic maybe. Definitely a nice date restaurant. If seated by the window you can people watch everyone wandering around Brady street 2. I had a lemon drop martini. It was your typical lemon drop. No complaints! It was what I expected. 3. I love the idea of pasta flights because I'm often indecisive. My husband orders two and so do I! We then share. This works so well! The portion sizes are nice! We had dinner for the next day! The duck carbonara, picante, and pomodoro are my favorites. We opted for the meatball with the pomodoro. Hate that I didn't get a picture. All are very creamy and well seasoned. The picante does have a little kick it. 4. Service was acceptable. We waited a little bit for our waitress to close our tab. All in all we enjoy this restaurant. We most certainly will return and recommend it!

Yelp
Dorsia had been recommended by a friend specifically for their pasta flight and by golly that's what we went in for. We were both really craving pasta so we went on a Friday evening. The street it's location on in downtown Milwaukee is busy - busy! Lots of people walking, seems like drinking, and super lively. Dorsia has a swanky vibe, especially with all of the photos of eyes everywhere. It's dark (we went at night) and they have small candles at the table that add to the ambiance. The staff seems young and hip but they provided good service. We went with a pasta flight with four types of pasta, lobster Mac, duck carbonara, chicken Alfredo, and St. Brady's Speziatta with a meatball. The flavors were delicious for each one. My favorite for sure was the Lobster Mac but next in line up there was the duck carbonara... the St. Brady was also really tasty and who can ever complain about an Alfredo. All of them were ultra creamy and tasty. We had to take leftovers home. Come hungry if you're doing the flight. Indeed it's pretty big portions.

Yelp
A great lowkey italian spot in MKE! Was visiting for the weekend and i'm glad I was able to hit this place!

Yelp
We went here on a few local recommendations. We were the first to be seated when they opened. It did not take long for the place to fill up quickly! Our waiter was great. The food was really good and tasty. The duck pasta that was on my husband's flight ended up being my favorite!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food ! Made a reservation a month ago so we could go before a concert. So glad we did. Great ambiance and wonderful service. Pasta was incredible. Pesto alone was very good and the carbonara with the duck was great. A little pricey but worth the experience!
google avatar

Selena F.

Yelp
The ambiance was very nice, great date night place. My friend and I both ordered the pasta flight. I got the lobster pasta, Alfredo, and pesto pasta. I liked the Alfredo the best you could tell it was all from scratch. The pesto pasta was second I really liked the taste just wish it had something else to it. The lobster pasta would be loved by seafood fans but I feel like all I tasted was lobster lol. I had leftovers for daysssss the pasta flights were huge and recommended to be eaten by at least 2 people. The pizza was not bad but I did expect better for the price. The overall experience was great! I loved it and can't wait to attend again and try some of their other pastas and drinks.

Yelp
this is the definition of ok food. You will not have a great meal (and definitely salty) but you will be full and the price is fine/mediocre for restaurants these days. The lighting is way way too dark that you will forget what time it is outside The service is nice tho and quick.
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately, we were hoodwinked by TikTok; my friends and I were in town for a girls trip and this was the first reservation we booked. It was fine, but definitely not what we were anticipating. First, the flights are MASSIVE; they say they are half portions and...if that is a half portion, I don't want to see a full portion. So we definitely over-ordered (definitely on us!). However, I wouldn't say the pasta is particularly great? Some of it came lukewarm, instead of hot. The menu mentioned different pasta types/shapes, but they all came the same (with the exception of the ravioli, obviously). My favorite, of the ones I tried, was the duck pasta.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Dorsia! The food was delicious. We started with eggplant, which could've been slightly crispier, but still good. All of the pasta was awesome. My favorite was the Saint Brady Speziata. Highly recommend adding a meatball with it! Our service was fine, nothing extraordinary. The ambiance was nice, I love Brady Street and it was a fun, busy spot even on a Monday night!
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
All in all, Dorsia's food is very good. It is a bit expensive for what you get though. I have been there many times, and a few times have had relatively big issues with the pastas being undercooked or flavor issues, but they are always quick to make it right. The flights are what make the restaurant truly unique, but that does come at a cost. I usually do two pastas and have enough for leftovers the next day. The burrata appetizer and brussels sprouts are also very good. Definitely a good place to go and great for out of town guests to show off the uniqueness of the flights.
google avatar

Tamia L.

Yelp
Cool spot on the Brady Street! One of many we visited! Good pizza! Good drinks! Crust held it all together... tons of pepperoni to devour and not too spicy! The garlic cheese sticks was delicious! Garlic, cheese and marinara just right portions! Spanish punch did just that... packed a flavoring punch! Taylor was plenty on top of introducing the menu and their signature which are pasta flights! Tempted to try but our tastebuds were at on pizza! We weren't disappointed!
google avatar

Lucas T.

Yelp
Food was amazing! I really liked the pesto! I ordered it with a mushroom on top which really helped with the flavor profile as well! I really enjoyed the service too! The bartender was very friendly and really knew her way around the menu! As far as ambiance it was very dark romantic kind of vibes but the food was very much worth it!
google avatar

Salena C.

Yelp
When my family walked in (me, husband, two kids), we were greeted warmly and then sat in a (pretty dark) corner. I assume it was to give my kids space to be kids and not interrupt everyone else, but it's always so odd to be given leftover seats when the restaurant is mostly empty. (Side note- as we were doing a casual google search, many people said Dorsia was not family/kid friendly. I did call and ask if they had a high chair, and they confirmed that they did and have families often, so I took that as enough of a sign that they were accepting of kids.) We had multiple servers because apparently it was an extremely slow night for them so they kept sending servers home. The food was pretty good! My husband and kids shared the pasta flight ($15/portion and ALLLLLLL over TT) and I ordered a simple flatbread. They all enjoyed and had leftovers for days, and I thought my pizza was decent as well! The overall experience was good, but we just expected a little more. If a friend suggested returning in the future, I wouldn't mind, but it wouldn't be an immediate return for me!
google avatar

Katie O.

Yelp
Got takeout; I ordered a large pizza. I was informed when picking up the pizza that they didn't have the crust for the large pizza so I was only charged for the medium pizza that they gave me. Well, of course, they should only charge me for the pizza that they're giving me. But they have crusts for small and mediums. Can they not combine those crust to make a large? I asked if the crusts were already premade or frozen to which she said "I don't work in the kitchen. I'm a hostess." Also half of the pizza did not have cheese on it. Will not be ordering takeout again.
google avatar

Kaylie P.

Yelp
First of all, service was outstanding! Drinks were all super tasty and came out quickly. We got the calamari (good breading but a little chewy) and a pasta board! Our favorites were the pomodoro with chicken and duck. The lobster Mac was way over salted. Our server offered getting us a different pasta or refunding, but we just wanted to let them know. It was nice of her to offer. It was my friend's birthday, so she got a dessert on the house. Pretty intimate and dark, makes for a great date night location. Their tiramisu was to die for! We'll be back!
google avatar

ALice A.

Yelp
Our first restaurant in 2024 and Dorsia did not disappoint! A great date night, trendy restaurant with upbeat music and AMAZING FOOD!! What more can you ask for? We ordered the pasta flight and I highly recommend the Duck Carbonara and Lobster Mac. Both dishes were rich and full of robust flavor! The thin crust Carmazatto Pizza is a must try too! I'm usually not a fan of goat cheese but it paired nicely with the toppings. Dorsia also offers a variety of fun drinks like Toxic Masculinity! Parking can be hard to find so get there early! Staff were very friendly and our waiter, Tyler was awesome! We had a wonderful Saturday date night and will be back again. I do recommend to make reservations!
google avatar

Emma F.

Yelp
Dorsia is always the best time! We tried the calamari for the first time and it was delicious! I would recommend for anyone who likes that. I normally always get the lobster Mac but today I switched it up with the pesto and vodka pasta add meatball. The pesto was a little salty for me. However the meatball was the star of the show! I loved it. I was bummed I didn't get the lobster Mac, so now I know to always at least get one flight of that. David loves the duck carbonara (and so do I)!! We recommend dorsia to anyone who likes good food.
google avatar

Jasmine H.

Yelp
Who has heard of a pasta flight? I know right, how innovative is that! The pasta was amazing! My only let down is that they were having difficulties in the back of the house so we were only able to get it with one kind of noodles. I would have loved to see these with their proper pairings. The ravioli was delicious. Our server was not too over bearing at let us enjoy the moment. It is definitely set up for a cute date night. There was a birthday party dining so groups are welcomed as well. It sits on a busy street full of other restaurants and bars so make a date night out of it.

Katie B.

Yelp
Been here twice- for dinner the pasta flight was fantastic. For brunch the food was good but the music was so loud I couldn't hear the other people at our table.
google avatar

Celeste M.

Yelp
Cool interior, sat by windows, food was amazing. My fav was the Piccante pasta. Fireeeee. Will come again for sure.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Dorsia with my family, but unfortunately, my experience didn't meet expectations. I booked a reservation about two weeks in advance to celebrate a special occasion. We ordered the flight with three pastas and a pizza to share among four people. However, all three pastas were incredibly salty and difficult to eat, while the pizza was bland and lacked any unique qualities. I really wanted to like this place and was excited to bring my family, but I ended up feeling bad seeing everyone struggle to finish their servings. To make matters worse, I had severe stomach pain the entire night after returning home. The servers were incredibly nice and very engaging with our party. I've heard many great things about this restaurant from other friends, so maybe we just got unlucky with the timing. I hope to give Dorsia another try.
google avatar

Liz A.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! We ordered drinks and an appetizer to start. Our server mentioned that the appetizer might come out first as the bartender was pretty busy. Not an issue for us, I was actually quite hungry so was ready for the appetizer. The burrata bruschetta was delicious. So good! Our cocktails arrived shortly after and were also quite good. I had heard mixed reviews on the pasta flights, mainly that they off quickly. I ordered two pastas and did not find that to be the case. The pesto was my favorite. The name of the second one escapes me but it had a bit of heat to it. The place was bigger than I expected but I still recommend reservations.

Alyssa Z.

Yelp
I love the idea of a pasta flight! Everything was so delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. This is a great trendy restaurant that has a modern vibe but also a low light/moody ambiance - went for a date night and it was a great experience. Will for sure go back to try new items.
google avatar

Anna R.

Yelp
Yum! I love some good pasta and Dorsia always hits. We stopped in on a Friday night and surprisingly it wasn't too busy. I don't know if this is a recent trend, but I remember in the past a long wait on a Friday night and you would need a reservation. The menu is full of pasta and pizza, and some delicious appetizers. I love the bruschetta, the buttata is so good! I ordered the lobster Mac and it was a great balance of lobster and cheese. I think we were able to get a glimpse at all of the pastas. There are options for gluten free as well. The service was great and our waitress was on top of getting drinks and check-ins. The dark lighting and music make this a place for a younger crowd, but everyone can enjoy. We had fun guessing who owned the eyes on the canvases throughout.
google avatar

Rafael R.

Yelp
Blew me away! I've found my new favorite Italian spot in MKE! Was able to walk in during the early dinner hour and sit at the bar with two other business associates. Alyssa was amazing and nailed my Negroni out of the park! Hopefully they stock up the bar a little more, as the it will match the quality of the food and service! Ordered the garlic cheese bread to start...bomb! We kept moving with the pasta flights, which I ordered the duck carbonara and the saint brady speziata with meatballs and my buddy got the chicken piccante (pictured) booooommmbbb! I had to run it back one more time before leaving town Chefs kiss!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in for brunch to check out the bottomless deal. We went on a Sunday morning right at 11am and were the first ones there for about 15 minutes. There was a DJ in the corner playing music which created an interesting ambiance but it wasn't so loud that I couldn't hear my friend. The server informed us the chef was a bit late and the food would take about 20 minutes which was fine with us and nice to be informed of up front. I did the $20 bottomless drink deal which includes mimosas, bloodies, and sangrias. I did not try a bloody but both the mimosa and sangria were tasty and plenty boozy. For food I ordered 2 eggs and breakfast potatoes which came out to be about $9. Both came in large portions (the eggs in my picture are only half of what was on the plate) and were seasoned nicely. I had plenty left over to take home after. Overall a solid brunch option if you are looking for a bottomless brunch.

Yelp
Recently went for an anniversary dinner and we had a great time! The Happy Hour menu from 4-6pm (extended at the bar on Wed) M-F is a great selection of deals. We are still dreaming about the Burrata Bruschetta and Eggplant chips. The pasta flight of 3 choices we ordered was more than enough food for the 2 of us. All their pastas are homemade and all equally delicious. The Piccante and Duck Carbonara were the table favorites. We will definetely be back for another round of Happy Hour Apps and drinks and to try more pastas on the menu!

Dominique T.

Yelp
Updated happy hour menu, not as impressive as the old happy hour menu. Fewer/more expensive food options but they did add martinis
google avatar

Nahla A.

Yelp
I have been hearing a lot of great things about this place. So my girlfriend and I wanted to try it out before the end of summer! Everything on the menu looked so tasty and we sampled a few different pasta dishes. Loved it! It's definitely a repeat
google avatar

Joe A.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere, but a little dark inside. The bartender made some strange and uncomfortable comments. The drinks werewatered down, would not recommend any cocktails Except for the lemoncello. We didn't see our server for almost 25 minutes, throughout the night she was nowhere to be found, it took almost 10 minutes to get soft drinks . The idea of the place is really cute with the charcuterie boards full of different pasta, but pasta came out lukewarm
google avatar

Gracie T.

Yelp
Really great food! Been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. Love the pasta flights and the service was great!
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! Great service and great menu selections! Great little place on Brady Street with nice ambience for a date night.

Lauren J.

Yelp
Good food and love the espresso martini. However I feel they definitely over serve/over charge for pasta flights. I basically had 3 full meals for $50, I ordered a flight expecting small portions.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Not sure how anyone could rank this less than 5/5 stars. The concept of pasta flights alone is genius, but the actual taste exceeded my expectations. The restaurant itself is really cute and was very crowded for a Tuesday night. You'd never know by the service though -- the waitress was very fast, friendly and attentive. I will be back (and probably skip lunch so I can add a third pasta into the mix).
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! I heard great things about the pasta flight and they did not disappoint. the bruschetta was also to die for. the service was great and the ambiance was dimly lit and moody! Absolutely loved it and have been meaning to go back!

Yelp
Came here with my mom since she came to visit us in the midwest and heard Dorsia made good homemade pastas. Service was friendly, but food is subpar and is definitely not worth the hype or the ridiculous price point. We got a calamari, 2 pasta flights with 6 different pastas, and two drinks, but essentially, it was 1 type of pasta with 6 different sauces like one might get at some kind of low-budget cafeteria and then the toppings thrown on top to make them "different." The only redeeming feature was that the pasta was Al dente. We got the pomodoro, piccante, saint brady speziata, pesto, duck carbonara and lobster mac. As for the pasta, after a few bites, it felt like we were eating the same pasta. Different shaped pasta holds sauce differently, and the whole mouth feel can be a different experience, but unfortunately this was not the case. It just felt like the kitchen took shortcuts to produce food quickly, but did not care about quality so much. As you can see in the photo, all the pastas were bucatini even though the menu said the pastas we chose would be bucatini, radiatori and treccie pastas. The Lobster mac was...not a radiatori at all and it had 1 small mangled lobster claw with tomatoes in it. The pomodoro was supposed to come with a choice of meatballs or breaded chicken, but our server told us they ran out of meatballs so we ended up with the chicken--which wasn't breaded but grilled instead and was super dry. We added shrimp to the Saint Brady Speziata and the shrimp did come out well--large, juicy, and had some crisp from the grill. The calamari was crispy but the portion for a $14 appetizer came on a small tapas plate whereas most italian restaurants we've had calamari were much more substantial (it honestly looked like a plate of someone's leftover calamari that they reheated.) While it was a filling meal because of all the carbs and the servers and staff were nice, the meal itself cost $165 for 2 after tip and I couldn't help but feel ripped off for a subpar food experience where the food prep felt lazy and uninspired. Would not recommend if you are someone with higher food quality expectations, who loves pasta, and takes food seriously.

Yelp
We came here after a couple drinks at Fink's on a weekday evening when Happy Hour (M-F 4-6 with extended hours on Wednesday at the bar until 8pm) was still going! How have I been sleeping on their happy hour deals for SO LONG??? My friends and I put our name down on the list for a table and the wait was about an hour. While waiting we got to the bar started with a Spanish punch. It was a delicious sangria and it hit the spot just right! It was tasty and refreshing and I could've drank a whole jug of it myself. We also got a happy hour bruschetta, mozzarella sticks, fried Brussels, and eggplant chips. It was all so very good. The only disappointment personally were the mozzarella sticks - they weren't very crispy and the cheese didn't seem fully melted. It kind of seemed like they had been sitting out of fryer too long. But we absolutely devoured the other apps. The eggplant chips in particular were crispy and somehow also just melted in your mouth. The bruschetta was perfection and the Brussels were very masterfully prepared. All the happy hour apps and drinks were very reasonably priced! When we got a table, we ordered a pasta flight of the pesto, ravioli, and vodka. The pesto was okay, but the vodka and ravioli were very good! The sauce on the ravioli was a little sweet, but the actual pasta was full of veggies! The vodka sauce was delectable. We did also get another drink - the Toxic Masculinity - which looked dainty and pretty (forgot to take a picture!), but packed a deliciously fruity boozy punch! Overall 10/10 would recommend for happy hour or a regular meal!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! The pasta here is unlike any other. We made a reservation earlier in the day on a Monday and it wasn't that busy at the beginning but it started to fill up towards the end of our meal. We got the pasta flight (Piccante, Saint Brady Speziata with shrimp, and Lobster Mac ) and absolutely loved it all!

Yelp
I could eat here every day. The pasta tasted homemade and perfectly cooked. The sauces were incredibly well done - not too salty and perfectly paired with the different pastas. I want to go back as soon as possible and try more menu items. I think my favorite pasta was the pesto pasta or the lobster mac n cheese, but they were all fantastic. Thanks, Dorsia for a great experience.

Yelp
Great food and service! This is my all time favorite restaurant ever. The ceaser salad was my favorite, along with the spinach artichoke dip. Taylor was so sweet and kind to us.

Yelp
I really enjoy dorsia's pasta flights as well as their innovative cocktails. I would recommend skipping the pesto pasta and definitely trying the lobster Mac and cheese one! You really only need three for two people unless you want leftovers.

Yelp
We are lovers of pasta and this meal was among the best we've had. The meatball was scrumptious, but everything was great!

Yelp
If you are in Milwaukee, go here for a special treat. They accommodated my party of six people and are known for their "home made pastas". Even better they pride themselves that this is the best pasta place in Milwaukee. Flight pastas are the same concept as if you ordered a flight of drinks. Decent price for $16-17 per pasta if you do the flight as opposed to ordering a whole entree of a singular pasta. Even with the flights the portion sizes are huge so you will have leftovers. My favorite to least: 1) lobster Mac and cheese 2) pesto 2) duck pasta

Yelp
Absolutely gross. Dorsia what a let down. All spaghetti, no variance in pasta noodles as advertised, sloppy, salty, dry, disgusting. We laughed at the food we were served, paid $100 for it, didn't eat it, and left. Still laughing. Because what a joke. Boo Dorsia. Boo. Zero stars.
