On the Grid : Bocado

"Before you even pick up a menu you’ll know you've hit the jackpot when you step into this airy, modern masterpiece brought to life by Atlanta’s own ai3. Exposed brick, polished concrete and lofty ceilings draw you in but this is just the beginning. While we wouldn’t call this a burger joint, we’d argue (along with the rest of Atlanta) that Bocado offers one of the best burgers in town. It’s simple yet substantial and it’s absolutely delicious. And don’t forget to wash it down with a thoughtfully crafted seasonal cocktail - shaken & citrusy or stirred & boozey? The choice is yours!" - Resource Branding

Staying at the Hilton and ran across this place.. My server was super friendly and accommodating! I can’t have certain drinks but she made sure one of my favs was fixed. It was delish! Also the quac and salsa was great… fresh chip too!

First of all, the hostess who sat us had such a beautiful spirit! I loved her energy, friendliness and smile. The bartender (Charles??) made AMAZING drinks! I would come back just to sit at the bar and have cocktails. We ordered the catfish dish that came with a cream sauce and shrimp. It was very good and well seasoned. We also had the blackened mahi mahi and the gumbo. The mahi mahi was just ok and the gumbo was chicken and sausage…..no seafood so we were disappointed with that and the taste was ok but not what we were expecting. Great atmosphere and vibe. I would definitely go back.

Google
So good we ate here twice during our stay. Natalie and Jolee our servers were great and Adrian, the service manager made sure we were taken care of. Can’t say enough about the friendly service. The food was fresh and good also. And….The jalepeno Margaritas made by Charleston the bartender were the star of the show!!

Google
This was a passable place to watch but largely just mid. I was hoping for a combo of Cajun and Tex-Mex but it was just a split menu. My wife’s shrimp étouffée was fine and my mahi mahi was acceptable but nothing to write home about.

Another meal in Atlanta. I would rate this a solid 4.4 for the price point. The service was great and our hostess/server was very friendly and accommodating. This restaurant was attached to our hotel and was recommended by others while we were out visiting the sites. Dos Bocas offers Mexican and Louisiana cuisine. Pictured are tacos with beans and rice; gumbo, and baked chicken with a creamy lemon sauce with rice and roasted broccoli. The food was flavorful and there was not lack of heat as you would expect with Mexican and Louisiana influenced dishes. Though I did not partake, this location has a full bar. Good food and easily accessible location are pluses in my book when I am exploring new areas.

Google
The tv’s are off, they’re out of half the liquor menu, and we asked for chips and salsa and the server didn’t bring it out until we were almost done with our meal? The bartender didn’t ask us how anything was. Will I be back again, no.

Google
In town looking for a piece of fish and a vegetable. This seems like a nice place from the outside, ‘Happy Hour’, perhaps it is? .. unfortunately, I had the absolute worst dry bland tasteless piece of mahi mahi I have ever had. Service was ‘just ok’, not enough to make up for inedible main dishes. Take a close look at the pic in this review - the mahi is basically a piece of rubber, it should be in a furniture store aside fake fruit and plastic plants.

I really enjoyed my time here. I sat at the bar and the attendants were attentive and kind. I even miss named the female attendant and she went with it. Her new name is Amy lol The food was tasty and I loved the spicy marg.

Yelp
After spending the afternoon at the Coco Cola Museum my family and I were a lil hungry. Dos Bocas was right was near by and with no wait. Now we were all skeptical given that the restaurant was tex-mex/ Cajun. They brought out the complimentary chips and salsa....banging!!! It like the chips were seasoned with some sort of Cajun seasoning!! The salsa was nice, flavorful as well. My toddler was had his cup of salsa to himself he enjoyed it so much. I got the appetize chicken quesadilla deluxe with a side Cajun shrimp. That shrimp( not pictured)j was soo good. The batter was nicely seasoned and had great crisp!! The remoulade very nicely balanced, a tasty bit of spice and very slightly tart. Soo good. This quesadilla!! This was supposed to be a appetizer!! It was soo big i couldn't finish. Filled with perfectly seasoned chicken, a nice cheese pull!! Soo good. It was such a great snack later that night lol!! Our whole party was pleasantly pleased with the food. Cons: it took a awhile for our food to come out but the staff was and kept us informed. So if you are near the coca cola museum or the Atlanta Aquarium i high recommend!! They have an upstairs and downstairs, there was no wait for us !!

Yelp
I had a great time trying some of their food and drinks. The food was good, we got the mahi mahi and I got the shredded beef enchiladas. It was simple and filling with good flavor. The service was good! We sat at the bar and got some shots and a frozen margarita and it was strong. The ambience was chill. I love the concept of Cajun and Mexican. Fun place to try if you're in the area or visiting ATL.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat after getting into town. Decided to check Dos Bocas since it was connected our hotel. My husband liked the chips and salsa since the salsa was blended and not chunky. The service was pretty good, the wait staff were tag teaming tables. My toddler and I shared the nachos which were delicious. The beef was well seasoned and the beans were yummy! My husband got the Verde Enchilada and he raved about them!

Yelp
I had been to Dos Bocas a while back when they first opened but hadn't been back since, so it was nice to have a second experience. Sat at the bar downstairs and was greeted right away by Bre. She was so pleasant, professional, and attentive. She immediately brought me some chips and salsa and I ordered the Enchilada Verde and the house Margarita (Avenue C Margarita). The enchiladas were very good (I like extra sauce and spicy so added some salsa and Valentina which kicked it up a notch). The rice was ok and the charro beans tasted more like chili than charro so minus one star for that. I also ordered a Lonestar Margarita and that was good as well. I must say in this economy, I really appreciate Mexican restaurants that provide guests with complimentary chips and salsa. All in all, this was a good experience so I would consider coming back. I just wish the restaurant could come to an arrangement with the parking company where diners can get their ticket validated or discounted to park in the attached deck as the rates are a bit high.

Yelp
Everything was just bad and I mean who can mess up some enchiladas.... Or a quesadilla. I don't live in the area but won't be back again. One of the waiters looked so mad, not wanting to be there at all
google avatar

Austin K.

Yelp
Very Disappointed Honestly, I can't believe we spent $100 on just two plates of food and two drinks. The portions were incredibly small, the food was not good, and we left still feeling hungry. For the price, we expected way more. Definitely won't be coming back. My wife is Hispanic, my kids eat rice everyday. She tried sharing rice and steak with them which there was not much of to begin with and they said it was "super yucky". We went to Johnny rockets next door. Not a fan but better than what we just had because we were all still hungry.
google avatar

LeeAnn M.

Yelp
Didn't eat here but popped in for drinks. It wasn't really a pleasant experience. It was hot and the amount of bugs flying around and annoying people was ridiculous. We didn't stay but for one drink because of this.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in after being in the area for a quick drink. Sat at the bar and the bar tender was nice. They didn't have a lot of things ins rock she kept having to go to the upstairs bar but the drinks were made well.

Yelp
My wife and I recently visited Atlanta and stayed at the Omni hotel. After a couple of days we decided that we needed something different like old fashioned Tex Mex and then we discovered Dos Bocas within walking distance from the hotel, just on the other side of Centennial Park and we were pleasantly surprised. Dos Bocas is sort of a combined Tex Mex/Cajun place, just like we enjoyed when we were living on the Texas Gulf Coast. The salsa with chips was better than average and our entrees were great. I had the shredded beef Enchiladas De La Casa and my wife had the Char Grilled Mahi Mahi. Very good eating at a reasonable price. The next time we're in Atlanta we'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was eh, order came out wrong, if you're not dining in they don't care. The restaurant doesn't know whether it wants to be Mexican or Cajun.
google avatar

Chynna M.

Yelp
Prices was CRAZY main entree was like 25 and up. Fajitas as 40+ the only thing that was good was customer service. Place was very small so had to sit at the bar. I would not be back. Wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
We gave Dos Bocas I'll try... Because it was across the way from the aquarium. Nice surroundings, but nothing overly memorable. The food was good. And the service was very good. We had a really really good waitress. Very friendly and kept the glasses full.

Yelp
Was ok , staff with little attitude but seating ok , food is not that much of items , and was just basic

Yelp
Decent Tex mex Cajun restaurant waitress was a little slow and not very friendly but over all good food and decent location from our hotel. The prices were a little high for quality of food but overall decent restaurant
google avatar

Shannan M.

Yelp
Average at best. The chips were VERY salty. I ordered the enchiladas and they missed the mark. Give me a good old hole in the wall Mexican spot any day.

Yelp
Visited Atlanta and also stopped by Dos Bocas and tried some Cajun food! Had the cast iron with catfish, recommended by our waiter. I also liked the beans and rice that it came with Came with complementary tortilla chips and salsa Good vibes and right in downtown. Great after a day of exploring at the aquarium and world of Coca Cola!

Yelp
Amazing food with excellent service. Laid back ambiance. Recommend. Worth the wait!

Yelp
Came to dos bocas as a large group and we had a pleasant experience. Our waitress was very attentive and brought out everything we asked for in a timely fashion. The restaurant was clean and in a great location. The food was pretty good, once I decided what I actually wanted to eat. The bayou shrimp were hot, crispy, and flavorful. The fajitas were pretty good. They were not very hot but the flavor was pretty good. Overall, a pleasant experience
google avatar

Yelp
We visited at the conclusion of an aquarium experience. We had to wait a little, but it was well worth it. The chips were warm and delicious although slightly salty. Our table ordered a hodgepodge of selections from a salad to Mexican food to blackened catfish topped with shrimp and a cream sauce. Everything was delicious and we capped it off beignets that were to die for!!!! Our server was delightful. Sorry no pics, but we were starving!

Yelp
Dos Bocas is located inside/adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn, which across the street from the College Hall of Fame and Olympuc Park. It is not either a Tex-Mex or a Cajun restaurant. Even if they say they are... When you are from there, you know what Tex-Mex tastes like. Maybe they grew up on the Stateline between Houston and NOLA? That will screw you up! Anyway, I had the chicken Enchiladas Verdes with rice and charro beans. It was actually good. However, the Enchiladas needed an actual Verdes sauce on top, and the rice was a tad bit dry. Beans tasted fine. The chips were fresh even if they did come out of a big bag into a hot box. The salsa was about the only Tex-mex about the meal. It was outstanding. It's not overly spicy at all. The bartender was on point and handmade the margarita to perfection. I want to give it 3.5 stars as its worth going back to, and it doesn't suck, but know before you go in what you are getting. It's bar food that wants to be a big restaurant.

Yelp
Sat on the second floor bar on 9/18/24 around 5:20p. Bartender could have cared less about patrons. He was huddled in a far corner on his phone. I have to literally yell down the bar 3-4 times to get his attention off his phone. You are at work. Be at work. Had chicken tinga tacos. They were very bland. I would honestly rather eat at Taco Bell.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Chose it because it was in the hotel lobby and was easy and convenient. Po boy was delicious. Fajitas were flavorless and bland. Gumbo had good flavor but rice was undercooked. It's also very spicy. I know gumbo is usually spicy but this one was a little extra. The waitress also acted like she hated her job and we were an inconvenience.
google avatar

Cameron P.

Yelp
The staff was very nice, placed a to-go order and had no issues. The prices for the portions you get are very disappointing. The smothered burritos are the size of a standard enchilada at best. The drinks from the bartender were very good though!

Pat L.

Yelp
If going to Dos Bocas in downtown Atlanta, you MUST ask for Kianna to be your server. Kianna subbed out an off-menu drink for me due to the availability of Coke Zero. Kianna got me the new Dr Pepper Blackberry Zero!!! The drink complimented my catfish in cajun cream sauce to perfectio. UNBELIEVABLY GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Yelp
We went based on a recommendation from Embassy Suites. Despite what looked like small crowds, we were directed to bar seating as the only available option. The cocktails are awesome. I-10 traffic jam was perfect. Garish with grapefruit to complement the flavors instead of like, and it would be genius. The chips and salsa are some of the best we have ever had. In terms of entrees, I ordered the cast iron catfish. It was not served in cast iron and did not have a hard sear. It was also missing the red beans from the menu. The shrimp etoufee was fine. The server did not check on us once. We had to beg for our check then wait 10+ minutes for it to be processed. I am sure the food would have been rated better had the service and presentation been as advertised.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Good food, great service! I almost walked out after walking in, as the ambiance was very vanilla. But I'm very happy I stayed! Got whatever it is, they call the top shelf margarita. Matter in fact, got 2 of them. They were delicious. Chips were warm, thin and delicious. Salsa was nothing special. Ordered the blackened chicken. Did not come out as black as the pictures on here represent, but it was very juicy and tasty. The red beans and rice were accented by chunks of andoulie sausage which made them irresistible! Side of sautéed vegies was also very good. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly. May come back again before I leave town!
google avatar

Yelp
The place seems pretty nice. They got our order wrong two times they also got the check wrong they took forever to give us the food the food isn't so good no one from my table got a single drink refill and if you are looking for a Mexican restaurant this isn't what your looking for it's very white washed wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
I was a hotel guest and stopped in for a quick bite around 5pm and I'm so glad I did! Vernon welcomed me as I walked in the door and placed my order very quickly! The manager, Dale I believe, also came by to see how my meal was. It was delicious! I will be back!

Jose C.

Yelp
The food is ok. My son had the steak fajita, he likes it except what I'm guessing was Charo beans, The flavor and taste wasn't great on those beans. My daughter had a chicken quesadillas. She liked it. Me and my wife had the guajillo burrito it was a thumbs down for both of us. The rice tasted like it was out of a box. I paid about $118 to US it definitely was Not worth it. The waitress was good then she was lost, was talking to the bartender for quite some time.

Yelp
Wow what an experience... and not in a good way. We got there by 8pm had a 40 minute wait and then once we sat at our table and started ordering we were continually told they had sold out of and item or were out of almost everything. The restaurant closes at 11. This was very bad restaurant planning. It started with the salsa and chips you get once seated. Our server said that she scored our table of 5 the last bowl of salsa. My niece took that over for herself and left us all eating dry chips. We were able to get another bowl of salsa about 30 minutes into our meal. Not sure where she found it but I'm glad she did. Then when ordering my dad ordered fajitas. After placing the order our server came back and said they were out. When our food was delivered to the table our server informed my dad they were out of of rice so he got fries. Another server delivered my food and I wasn't even told/informed or compensated for there being no rice. We also asked for a side of sour cream for my nephews tacos and the were out. Now for the bill. We were charged for the side of sour cream we never got, for the kid drinks that were suppose to come with the kids meals and we added chicken to the kids quesadilla and were charged $6 for the chicken. It was the exact same thing as my nephew got for the kids tacos. I would have really appreciated if our server had informed us of the charge for the chicken and just told us to order the kids tacos instead. I did bring up to the server the kids drinks and sour cream and she removed them. I did add the chicken to the quesadilla so I took responsibility for that and paid for it. I ordered the Chicken Zydeco and I'm not normally a fan of Lemon Pepper but the sauce on this chicken was amazing. I would definitely recommend this dish. The Mexican Corn was highly recommended but I didn't find it to be as exquisite as described. The cheese is the best part of the dish. Our server was very genuine and helpful. She tried her best and I feel like the overall failure of a dinner wasn't her fault. It was poor planning on the kitchen staff. The restaurant had a full hour to be open after our meal and they were basically out of everything. The restaurant was in walking distance of our hotel. Super convenient. Not sure if I would return, would depend on the circumstances. Overall a wild experience. Dos Bocas 275 Baker St NW Atlanta, GA 30313 (Review 708 overall and 53 in 2022)

Yelp
Visited this place for the first time time bit was five of us. Four ordered full dinner. Two were very dissatisfied with the food. The other two gave a three. We figured we acerad two stars. The food missed the Mexican flavors.

Yelp
Would not go back. Don't recommend anyone do so. 1. Arrival get sent upstairs only to find upstairs closed two hours before closing time. Not busy. 2. Dive bar vibes on full display at premium prices. 3. Food took 30 minutes to arrive and was wrong. 4. Took another 12 to get plate out and still incorrect. 5. Tried to make it right by finding the server who was possibly a bit stretched but completely uncaring. Her solution was to take off what was incorrectly brought out the first time (didn't order it) and take off the incorrect second order. 6. Tried to order dessert but after waiting another 15 minutes still nothing. It was not busy. This is poor service and management. Not withstanding the food itself was at best a 3 of 5.

Yelp
Interesting menu of Cajun and Tex mex - we enjoyed the food and the wide selection of drinks. It's a nice place after going to near by attractions of Aquarium and Coca Cola world

Yelp
We stopped in for an early dinner. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait, even though there were plenty of tables open so we chose to sit at the bar. This restaurant use to be Legal Seafood. The chips were light and crisp just the way I like them. The salsa, however, needed some work. It tasted like straight tomato sauce. I ordered chicken tacos. The hard shells were fresh and the chicken meat was not dry at all. They could have used a bit more flavor. The charro beans and rice were ok. I've had better. The regular frozen margarita was a bit on the tart side. There was more lime flavor than anything else. The taco plate was about $12. They need vegetarian options. My friend had to order thr chicken fajita quesedilla without chicken. There were like 3 strips of bell pepper on them. She also had a gnat in her water. The bar tender replaced the water.

Yelp
It's a shame I have to put 1 star. The service was great, the food was great... being a Hilton Diamond and Owner , I have eaten at many restaurants attached to the hotels and on premises. Why am I giving this place one star- the horrible MANAGEMENT.. I can tell you the snide, eye rolling manager treats his employees terribly needs to remove himself from the service industry. Very snotty when I asked a question. Just to jolt his memory when he reads this, there was a homeless man outside that was disabled I asked if there was a place to call for these types of things (311? Shelter, police etc) I'm from out of town. He rolled his eyes and told me to go to the front desk of the hotel. Ahhh I'm eating there why would I do that? He said we don't handle that (ok no one asked you, who does handle that's what I asked?) the guy needs help... he told me to go and get a security guard. I refused as a patron eating there he should assist with anything with safety outside the front door, peoples concerns inside, and over concerns for the community between a nasty belligerent homeless person and a person in need. I asked the homeless man if I could buy him a meal and my husband called shelters for him to get to. Once the security guard came we were able to assist the man. However I went back to the meal upset that this manager actually works with people he was really rude to me. I heard some talk and complaints and left upset and never came back.

Yelp
Dos Bocas is not a "traditional" Mexican (or "Americanized Mexican") restaurant. While there are tacos and enchilladas on the menu, the bulk of the menu is Cajun inspired or Tex-Mex fare, leaning towards moderately upscale interpretations of both. There is a downstairs and an upstairs dining room. Nice city views from upstairs, super-friendly and helpful waitstaff, and though we didn't imbibe what look to be fair happy hour prices with decent variety. I was ordering one thing when our waiter "corrected" me to something else. I asked if they were out of the item I was ordering and he said "no, but this one's better". This is not always a great approach but he did it so low-key and approachably that I went with it and trusted his judgement. Glad I did--the Chicken Zydeco was really tasty (I think my wife liked it even more than me as she had a few bites). My wife opted for the cajun catfish and it was really good as well (i had a few bites myself). The chips and salsa (complimentary) which start the meal here are a step up as well--hot, crispy, fresh with just the right amount of salt and a salsa that looks basic but packs a lot of flavor and will appeal to those who love or loath cilantro (none present but it's not missed).

Christien H.

Yelp
Food is amazing, at an excellent price points my in comparison to other restaurants in the area, service was good & you can't help but love the free fresh baked chips and salsa that his your table basically as soon as you walk through the door. Good vibes here, we stayed in Atlanta for 3 nights & love trying new places this was the only place we went back to, great work Dos Bocas!

Yelp
At first I thought it was strange to have a Mexican spot and a Cajun spot in the same restaurant. But they pulled it off. I happened to be walking past and I stopped in for some lunch. I ordered tacos and jambalaya. The tacos were tacos. There was absolutely nothing special about them. But the jambalaya came out hot and flavorful. It came out great, and had sausage, chicken, and shrimp in it. I would come back just for the jambalaya and it made me want to go ahead and try other Cajun dishes they have!

Yelp
I am in Atlanta on a business trip. This place is within walking distant to the hotel and has good reviews so three coworkers and myself decided to try it. Our waiter Darius recommended I try the Cajun blackened chicken. It was AMAZING! Their margaritas are tasty as well. My coworkers all enjoyed their meals as well. They serve great food and the server actually hung out a few minutes and gave us some local gouge on what to do for entertainment! Great dining and drinking experience !!!

Yelp
Where to begin...ok first lets discuss the service here. Jolee, I believe was her name, was AMAZING! She was so friendly, upbeat and positive. Her bubbliness just exuded from her like sunshine! She was sweet and so helpful. So was fairly new to the area, so when we had questions about things here, she made sure to get us accurate answers, not just tell us something to be saying something. For being new to Atlanta, she had that down home southern hospitality down pat. Incredible server and made excellent recommendations. Which leads me to the food....I was a bit skeptical when reading that it was a Tex-Mex/Cajun flair type of place. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about combining the two...however, I was pleasantly surprised. We decided to try two very unique entrees so we could each try them. We had the Cast Iron Skillet Blackened Chicken with the red beans and rice and the veggies....and let me just say...absolute perfection! The chicken was sooo tender, and juicy and flavorful and cooked with love. I am VERY VERY picky about chicken and this one had me hooked. The veggies were outstanding and of course the red beans and rice were amazing as well. The second entree we ordered were the house enchiladas with the red house gravy- we chose to have the cheese enchiladas. Oh my! The house sauce/gravy that they put on their red enchiladas is bursting with flavor, not too spicy with just a nice kick. We also ordered the guacamole which was very good as well. The chips and salsa came complimentary with the meal- they were wonderful also. I know we are in Georgia, but the sweet tea here is other level- just the right amount of sweetness with a fresh taste. Loved it! The place itself had a nice atmosphere and setting and was not a crowded space, so you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of the other guests. It wasn't extraordinary by any means, but it was nice. If you are ever in Downtown ATL- head on over to Dos Bocas and ask for Jolee, she was the icing on the cake here. We will DEFINITELY come back.

Yelp
Had a great family meal here after the World of Coca Cola. We had a big party so ordered 4 orders of tacos, hard and soft, and 2 orders of fajitas, beef and shrimp. Everything was quite tasty, and you get unlimited chips and salsa which was great for the kids to get filled up. We added guacamole which was fresh and delicious. The food is more Americanized Mexican food, but it was still very good, but the thing that stood out was the service. Although we were pretty much the only people dining (it was late afternoon) our server was attentive, quick, and very on point. The sprite taster weird so she took it off our bill. All in all, a great dining experience we were all happy with!

scott a.

Yelp
Do not come here for mexican food. The food tastes like it is a day old, especially the rice. The grilled chicken was blackened and burnt. The menu is one page long with very few options. To make it worse, the food is outrageously expensive. Most dinner options are over $20, despite them very being simple dishes like enchiladas and burritos. The service is nothing to ride home about and the floors are quite filthy. With there being so many locations to eat in atlanta with much greater food, I do not recommend this location to any one. You're much better off eating anywhere else if you really want Mexican food.
google avatar

Gena J.

Yelp
So yeah, believe the reviews....at least ALL of the ones with less than 3 stars! This place seems like they're just 'practicing' for an opening. No condiments available? Only portions of an already REALLY limited menu available! Perhaps pick Mexican or Cajun....don't try to do both! And if you're going to do Jambalaya....please insert real New Orleans spices/flavors!!! Food was bland and tasteless! Super dry! And you can't charge premium prices for subpar food! Please step your game up....you're in downtown Atlanta for goodness sakes!!! Do u really want visitors wondering ....is this the best of the 'A'???

Walked in and waited at the door for 5 minutes before even being approached by a worker. He told us we could go upstairs if we wanted (we didn't know there was an upstairs). So we went up and got seated. The ambiance is very nice and decorated. Our server didn't come up until way later but he said there was a miscommunication between servers so no big deal. He was very kind and made us feel welcome, but food and drinks did take a long time to come out, despite the restaurant being really empty at the time we were there. And we plowed through our chips (which were a tad over salted) given we were hungry and he never checked on us for a refill until our food was out. Salsa was great though! We ordered and split the chicken fajitas, and a chili con queso appetizer, which came with a plate of rice, beans, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, and pico. Starting with the positives: that fajita chicken is some of the best I've ever had. Juicy and flavorful- it's a cut up breast. The onions were nice and seasoned/caramelized. Queso was good. However, the tortillas were a bit hard. The beans were way too seasoned. I don't know how to describe it but it was just too much spice and not even in a hot/spicy way just overwhelming mix of flavors. The rice was also very salty. If you came here thinking it was going to taste like your local authentic Mexican, it's not. There's so many flavors, which is a good thing, until they go overboard and add too much of it or over-salt. I'm not completely dissatisfied with our visit. It was our anniversary so I did have high expectations for the night, but I wouldn't come back or recommend it to a friend, given the price point ($27 for fajitas and $8 for that small bowl of queso)

Yelp
Service was amazing! Everyone was super pleasant, great for kids. Outside seating was a nice touch! Wish they had more options on the menu but overall was fine. You get A LOT of food for your money! Chips n salsa as a starter was sweet! Would definitely come back

Yelp
Dos Bocas, a mixture of New Orleans Creole and Tex-Mex style food, has an incredibly interesting menu. You can order anything from Fajitas to a Shrimp Po Boy, and pair it with Red Beans & Rice or Charro Beans & Mexican Rice. This isn't a menu you would find anywhere else. The prices are pretty reasonable for Atlanta dining and they're only open for dinner hours. We had a party of 10 and they did their best to accommodate us. It took a while to get all of us situated with drinks, but we did have some delectable chips and salsa to keep us occupied. Everything was very staggered in our service, but that's because there was really one man running the show. One man, the owner I believe, bar tending, taking orders, running food, and perhaps even cleaning tables. There seemed to be one other server on the far side of the restaurant, and two in the kitchen. Covid has been hard on us all, but Dos Bocas is doing it's best to thrive in such a difficult time. The staff are amazing, but few and far between. If you come here, be ready for some tasty food, but you'll have to wait a while for it. I didn't order one, but according to my friend, the margaritas were to die for.
