"Miami worships croquetas. But many of the meat sticks around town are made in factories. And while Islas Canarias landed at the number two spot on our croqueta power ranking, it is undeniably the most iconic croqueta in Miami. The masa is a family secret with mixed-in herbs that give a unique tanginess. Go in the morning when they’re fresh and crunchy." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"Known for its creative flavor combinations, Dos Croquetas in Westchester has been a hit since it began delivering back in 2015. While there are several different options we like here, the standout is their medianoche, which is served with homemade mojo aioli. The slightly sweet ham, savory pork, and mild swiss are perfectly cut through by an assertive pickle, which is our favorite kind of pickle. It’s purely wonderful, like finding $20 in the pocket of some pants you haven’t worn in three years." - charlie crespo
"I'm pleased that Dos Croquetas is back as one of the Miami favorites on site." - Olee Fowler
"There are a few too many caveats keeping us from recommending Dos Croquetas, a shop in Westchester that makes croquetas with unconventional flavors. The croquetas may come in fun trays with individual slots and designated dipping sauces like mojo aioli. But the vast majority of the options here aren’t great—we’ve been twice, tried every flavor, and noticed a consistent sourness that gets less subtle as the croquetas cool down. They also cost $2.20 each, which feels especially stiff considering you can go to Islas Canarias and pay $1.49 for croquetas twice as good. If you end up here, order the Mexican street corn and bacon cheddar hamburger croquetas, and eat them quickly so they’re nice and hot." - Virginia Otazo
"While the traditional ham croqueta is available, Dos Croquetas specializes in not-so-traditional flavors like spicy buffalo, street corn, cheddar burger, and the sweeter Fruity Pebbles and Oreo. Also available at its croqueta bar on Bird Road are fuller meals such as the croqueta bowl with fried egg plus black beans and white rice, sandwiches, and croqueta flights with local beers." - Stacy Moya
