We had a disappointing experience at Dos Diablos Taco Bar. We started off with an order of Guacamole. For tacos I got Camarones (Grilled shrimp, red cabbage, pickled serrano, and pineapple salsa) and Pork Carnitas (crispy pork confit, chihuahua, salsa verde, black bean puree, crema). However, when they brought the food out, they had brought a Carne Asada (marinated & grilled skirt steak, red onion, cotija, salsa roja) instead of carnitas because they "ran out of the carnitas". The waiter who we ordered from says he had asked me about the swap, which I am certain he did not - I would have ordered something entirely different if he had. The same thing happened to someone else there, as well, which I overheard. Given that we were already running late for an event, I didn't have time to send them back for something else.
On top of the tacos being cold and one not even what I ordered; the tacos were quite sad and empty looking. Not what I would expect based on the descriptions and the ingredients on the menu. The guacamole was decent, but quite small for the price. This might be an okay place to come for drinks, but not anywhere I would ever go back to for a meal.
