Dos Equis Pavilion Offers VIPs Lobster Mac and Cheese and Steak | Eater Dallas

"Set in the shadow of the Ferris wheel at Fair Park, the Dos Equis Pavilion this summer feels less like a typical concert venue and more like a superstar dining experience: Rock Boxes, open-air suites, and Dream Seats come with celebrity chef–created food that’s a significant upgrade from usual venue fare. The VIP menu was developed by Fort Worth chef Tim Love and Tim Kilcoyne of World Central Kitchen in step with Live Nation’s food and beverage team; Love cited his experience catering VIP and artist areas at festivals like Austin City Limits and Bonnaroo, and said the selected dishes are all sharable, maintain flavor and look appetizing while sitting out, and project luxury. Offerings available to order seamlessly online during the show or in advance include a salmon board, an entire New York prime steak with roast potatoes, romaine heart salad with blue cheese and bacon, lobster mac and cheese, chicken parmesan sliders, birria nachos, sequences (Venezuelan fried cheese wrapped in pastry), braised short rib sandwiches, cheese boards, charcuterie, and a barbecue platter. Mixologist Sean Kenyon created a series of specialty cocktails—served in shakers and available from the most expensive box seats all the way back on the lawn—such as strawberry vodka lemonade, cherry bourbon smash, watermelon chili margarita, smokey desert margarita with prickly pear, mojito, Liquid Death Mango Chainsaw Margarita, espresso martini, and the Garden Party with Hendrick’s gin and cucumber. Concession stands at the venue also include celebrity-chef operations like Art Bird by Art Smith, Trejo’s Tacos by Danny Trejo, Volt Burger by the Voltaggio Brothers, and Woodshed with barbecue by Love, making the overall food options at Dos Equis Pavilion a splurge I think is worth it for food lovers." - Courtney E. I recently went to Dos Equis Pavilion for the Twenty One Pilots concert on October 20. As a concert venue it’s very cool, with lots of space to roam around and get food/drinks… well if you like alcohol anyway. The only other drink offered besides liquor was cans of Liquid Death water. Thank goodness for that because it was a warm evening! The staff however left a bit to be desired. When we asked where our seats were the guy my friend and I talked to gave a very non-helpful gesture in some random direction. We ended up having to get a fellow concert-goer to help us find our seats. There was also a very belligerent older male staff member who yelled at people who wanted to get confetti from the pit when the concert ended and refused to let anyone walk down to get some. Thankfully a kind concert goer handed me some from below one of the VIP boxes. Our seat location was fantastic - three rows back from the B-Stage and great view of the stage itself; though I definitely had to stand up on my chair to see better as I am 4’10” and wouldn’t have been able to see much when everyone stood up as Twenty One Pilots started their set. The concert was incredible; a night I’ll never forget!

Great place to see a concert. Lots of good food options, definitely some great drinks. The only water available is liquid death and a water fountain but you can bring in a reusable water bottle. Traffic in and out wasn’t bad. The pit is tiny so no need to que you’ll have an awesome spot regardless of when you get there.

Been here a few times. This experience was much better. Purchased lawn seats which enabled me to pay for access to the cabana area which is private with its own alcohol and food service and private restrooms. Nobody else had booked it and my buddy and I had it to ourselves pretty much! Made the experience much more laid back and enjoyable! Saw Yellowcadd live for the first time and they were absolutely FANTASTIC

Great venue, once they opened up the gates all 20K swarmed in for Twenty One Pilots! Many places to eat. Lines moved pretty good. Be prepared to spend $50 bucks on two hot dogs and two drinks. Everything expensive, your trapped inside the venue so just bring your extra allowance and deal. Concert was awesome, people were friendly. Good times. Will go again.

Great views from most seats! This venue has always been very clean and friendly and I've always felt safe bringing my wife (43) and my kids (16F and 8M). I usually go with the box seats, because they are simply fantastic and I like the separation from the crowds. The parking is atrocious, so you'll want to get an upgraded parking pass, but that's usually the case with any concert venue.

In my very honest opinion this venue is the most organized and thoughtful venue I’ve attend a concert for. I saw Day Glow and Twenty One Pilots Oct. 20 for a sold out show. The staff were so kind and made sure we all had water and didn’t make us wait in the sun all day before letting us in. They gave us wristbands and told us to go under the shade and they’d line us back up in numerical order at exactly 4pm. Other venues I’ve been to usually make you stay in line in the hot sun. Doors and merch opened early for everything. Merch was supposed to be at 2pm but opened around 12:40pm, early entry was let in at exactly 5:30 in numerical order to 500, they then escorted us by lines at exactly 6pm and the crowd didn’t get out of hand or start running, show started early at exactly 7:30pm, and main show at exactly 8:45pm. They offered food and drinks and sprayed the lawn with water. This venue has great staff I felt very welcomed and they made the show more exciting. I saw plenty staff becoming one with the show haha with yellow or red tape as well always checking on us during the show. The crowd was very loud throughout the entire show really showed so much love.

This venue was amazing. First time was for the Summer of Loud tour and was a great venue for a metal concert. Lawn seats, plenty of space for the pit, and great views from the seats. Love the village/open mall feel when you enter with various food and bar vendors, places to chill, and merchandise. Only downside and reason for 4 stars, far-side vendors were charging more than double compared to entry side vendors. Entered and decided to grab a brew and water before finding my seat, ran about $24. Got it. Later in the show it was time to refuel, visited the far-side vendor closer to my seat...the beer alone was $28. What??!! Overall, great venue. Just be mindful of some crazy price fluctuations and/or gouging. 🔥🤘🎸

Pantera was amazing! The venue was excellent! Everything was affordable, the size of the seating area and design is pretty perfect. Even the yard had excellent views. I have attended this venue through years and years of name changes. Always happy with it. Staff is nice and professional. Security was good.
