This place was such an unexpected find! I came across it through Michael Motamedi’s YouTube video and wanted to challenge my husband to try pig nipples. They didn’t have it (which I sort of guessed since it wasn’t on the online menu), but we went anyway - and I’m so glad we did! The venue is cool, the food was delicious with beautiful plating, and the service was amazingly friendly. We had the lunch tasting menus and loved every bit of it!

Google
Enjoyed the tasting menu at the kitchen counter, with a few additions. At 9pm on a Thursday the dining room was full! The service was great, as a number of servers checked on us throughout the evening. The kitchen had just dropped a number of new menu items. Despite, the kitchen staff was cool, calm and collected. The pacing was perfect for the large amount of food and drinks we enjoyed. There was such a fun play on Mediterranean style food with a touch of personal influence from the Japanese chef. Cooks from across the world have joined the team to learn, and respectively so. Every dish was a perfect play on sweet, acidic and savory. My personal favorite was the Mackerel dish. Could not recommend more. This was one of the best meals I’ve had. Huge thank you to the team that made this possible.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Barcelona. Every dish tells a story, drawing from centuries-old Mediterranean recipes and elevating them with flawless execution. From the briny richness of sea urchin to tender squid in garlic oil, vibrant padrón peppers, and perfectly spiced kofta, every bite was memorable. Exceptional flavors, spot-on pacing, and a wine list that matches the creativity of the kitchen. A must-visit for any serious foodie.

Google
I visit Dos Pebrots every time I come to Barca! Food is incredible. Service is perfect. Highly recommend sitting at the bar, as I did while dining solo. Truly an experience to chat with the team, try wines, and learn about all the dishes!

Google
Amazing Spanish vanguard restaurant in Barcelona, flawless, perfect, fashionable, delicious, fresh, a superb surprise of dishes, one was best than the other. We tried a la carte, an unforgettable experience to repeat in our next trip.

Google
The food selection, presentation and quality was top notch. We were fortunate to be able to sit next to the kitchen where we watched with fascination as the dishes were prepared under the watchful eye of the head chef. The kitchen is kept spotless as each dish is prepared. The team work in the kitchen is something to watch. Our waitress was very helpful as we navigated the extensive menu ensuring that we ordered enough food but not too much. All in all a fantastic night

Google
Great place! Highly recommend! We took the Executive menu and it was phenomenal! The only part of the menu which we think could get an improvement was the dessert. It was not on the same level as the other part of the menu.

Google
We ordered dishes from the a la carte menu and it was a good choice because some of the dishes on the food tasting menu were not according to our liking. 8 dishes was enough although we could have done away with the 500g of cod, which was nothing special and too much for 2 people. The best dishes were the gnocchi, omelette, vegetable salad, rice with mushrooms, squid and frozen yogurt dessert. The service was good. They recommended a good red wine to go with our meal. They also pay good attention to customers, assuring that everything is okay.

Yelp
This place serves food of dreams. I cannot begin to tell you how worth it you will find this meal. It should be your Barcelona special dining experience of choice. We did the medium sized tasting menu and felt like we went on the most amazing culinary journey within those 11 dishes. It was only 80 euros per person for a beautiful tasting menu. The worth was phenomenal. The service was amazing, so thoughtful and paced just right. It's a rather formal high end restaurant with tasteful decorations, and they were still even able to accommodate a booster seat for a toddler in our party. The food though, I could talk to you endlessly about the food. The idea is that they take you through a journey in time, so the dishes progressively become more sophisticated in cooking method. Some of my favorite dishes were the earlier ones. I'm not going to reveal too much to you but the mackerel, figs, and one of the ice creams at the end were my favorite bites in all of Barcelona. Please make reservations to come here. What is also amazing is that there is availability to make reservations a few weeks beforehand or even walk in if you are planning your trip last minute. If you are looking for a unique, delicious, culinary experience, come to Dos Pebrots.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal here. They had three different fixed menus. We weren't sure if we wanted the second or third option but we opted for the third (Festival menu) because it had the cauliflower caviar, dry aged beef and turbot fish. It was a lot of food, and the middle menu would probably have been the better option, portion wise. However the turbot fish was amazing and it was part of the festival menu. The dry aged beef was a thin slice of beef, that tasted like Iberian ham, could have done without that, also Festival menu only option. The cauliflower and caviar was OK, but again the three extra dishes were not so amazing that I would do the Festival tasting menu again. The middle menu would have been perfect. Overall we enjoyed our experience. The service was outstanding, one person in our group only spoke English, but the servers were able to explain all the dishes in English, which was nice. The carbona really stood out. It was great! The turbot and squid were probably my favorite dishes. One dish we devoured so fast I didn't even get a photo. We could barely walk out when we left we were so full. It was a lovely experience in Barcelona. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Good tasting dishes but portion size way too small, also overpriced. Service from waitress Monica is very good, nothing but positives on that. Caveat emptor!

Yelp
Two thumbs up for Dos Pebrots (pebrots = pimientos), which serves well-conceived and carefully constructed tapas based on "ancient" concepts. We were able to walk in without a reservation and work our way through the menu with a series of gluttonous orders. Service was great, ambience was cozy, prices were... well, not exactly cheap, but entirely appropriate given what came to the table. Safety alert: it's pretty well known that you should be careful in this part of town, and true to form, someone sitting at one of the tables outside had their stuff stolen while they weren't looking. Rather than avoid Dos Pebrots, you can just eat inside :)

Yelp
Better than I could have imagined. We had the tasting menu for two and it was incredible. The gnocchi was the best I have ever had--incredibly light, but buttery. The wine list was also very well curated. The service was fantastic--attentive and definitely willing to chat about the food. I would recommended this place 100x over!

Yelp
This is a fabulous restaurant with an Ancient Based cuisine that is absolutely divine. Spanish food at its best. Great fish, meat, vegetables. Upon request, they served an delicious and warm gluten free bread roll. This is a casual restaurant . I went to the following location (which isn't what Yelp lists): Carrer de Casp, 12 Barcelona, Spain

Yelp
This is where I enjoyed one of my favorite tapas meals in Barcelona! The day we arrived, we researched good restaurants and decided to try this one that night. Reservations were full, but we came at opening time to snag some seats. It was here we learned about how lax this town was about opening times: we came at 7:30 that the website said, but were told to come back at 8:30 and even then it was unclear that it was open until 9! That was fine because there were other shops and bars to wander through in the area. The servers were very helpful with menu choices and informing me on what was gluten free sand could fit my dietary restrictions. The menu was very seafood heavy, which I always enjoy and is to be expected port cities, but there was a greater emphasis on quality here compared to most other restaurants we visited during this trip. My favorite was the seafood charcuterie plate! Compared to other places in the area, prices are a little high but pretty reasonable for tourists. With great food, drinks, and service, I definitely recommend making this spot part of your trip. Though it probably wasn't the best idea to come here the first night, because the rest of my dinners there didn't live up to this standard!

Yelp
My favorite dinner in Barcelona. Fun, tasty and not very expensive. Highlights: the pine-nut omelet, the black onion, and the quail. It is probably easy to be pescatarian here, but hard to be vegetarian. Full detail: We had an early reservation, 7:30ish, because it was the night of Correfoc. Had a big lunch, so only ordered five dishes and desserts. Stayed about two hours, with dishes coming out every 15 min or so. Servers spoke good English and translated menus were clear. Wine was not pricey and there was a good by-the-glass selection. I had a medium-bodied red and she had a gran reserva cava. First was the camaron "dentelle," or tortilla de camarones, which was thinner and more crisp than I thought it would be. Next came the "a feira" tuna, which we ordered with bread, which was different from what I expected -- the description suggested it would be dried and rehydrated with oil, but I'm pretty sure it was just fresh tuna, seared -- which was tasty. Then things got really good. The black onion, its insides coated in an ancient Roman fish sauce called "garum," was a treat. There was an entire toolbox of utensils you could choose from to eat it with. Garum tastes almost like caesar dressing, but simpler. Wish we'd tried dishes with oxigarum and aenogarum, the vinegar and wine-mixed versions! Then came the pine-nut omelet, prepared tableside with narration. I don't want to ruin the surprise, but I'll just say it was a really tasty medley of ingredients. Fine for pescatarians. (I'm vegetarian, but relax my rules when I travel overseas.) Last came the "faraon's (pharaoh's) quails," a well-seasoned bird. It was almost like a tiny, all-dark-meat chicken. Use your hands; they provide wet-naps to clean up. For desert, we had the "mato" and "tocinillo de cielo" (beacon from heaven). The mato was a bit drier than we expected, but not bad, and the tocinillo really hit the spot. Its flavor was uncomplicated, more or less straight sweetness, but it was not quite a custard or anything you've had before; it was unique. The bill was around 60 euros.

Yelp
Outstanding. One of the most memorable meals I've had in a long time (not to mention Albert Adriá and his family also sat next to us). The tasting menu had some of the most delicious, well-prepared, creative, and inspiring dishes I've experienced. The courses were timed perfectly, had incredible range from super subtle umami to soul satisfying slow cooked comfort food. Plus, when does one ever get to try pig nipples paired with pork stock? I was afraid at first but the dish was great. Service was fantastic, treated us really well even though we were from out of town. Our two wines were perfectly chosen to cover the two halves of the meal. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant a 10 out of 5 because the whole experience was EXCEPTIONAL in every way. From service to ambience to food. The menu was so well curated and truly special in a city where food is already outstanding- this one is just that much better. The food - the chefs are so focused. As you watch them working in the kitchen you can see that they are not only skilled and talented but that they are truly invested in making each dish perfect. It was like watching an artist in action. Each dish was beautiful to look at but the flavours and textures themselves were extraordinary. The service - each dish was presented by the server with a complete explanation of the origin of the dish as well as the ingredients. If you are thinking of going - don't think about it. Just go! This will be the highlight of your dining experiences in Barcelona.

Yelp
Absolutely the best meal I had in Barcelona. The Caprese was marvelous, creamy and unique. The tuna belly was so tender and well seasoned. The lamb was fantastic too. Great service.

Yelp
Wow, what a culinary journey. Stumbled upon this place by accident. Such creative and innovative food. I must say is the first time I have had my tastes challenged for a long time and in a good way. Likedit do much, took some friends back there a few days later and had the set menu. Tye the risotto with rose petal tempura.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! I can't rave any more about this place. Every dish had history and a short explanation on the kind of ancient cooking method and history of the sauce ect. and I just loved every bite. Lunch ended up be 50 euros for a tasting menu and it was honestly incredible and most memorable dining experience in Barcelona.

Yelp
Meticulous and Attention to Detail are the words/phrases I'd use to describe this very unique tapas restaurant. If you want a uniquely Spanish tapas experience, you'll love Dos Pebrots. We had the pleasure of sitting at the small bar alongside the main kitchen and it was so much fun watching the care and attention that went into each and every dish. When each small plate was delivered, you were told the history of the dish and the connection to the ingredients. A gastronomic experience that will bring your taste buds to life. A truly unique experience. Enjoy!

Yelp
Novel flavors, interesting stories to contextualize the cuisine, very attentive service, and a thoughtful ambience. It was great to be able to see the rhythms of the kitchen as we ate and to hear about why each dish was made the way it was. The pigs nipples were actually quite delicious and the pichón was also very tasty, although the breast was the only really edible part. I would come back for sure!

Yelp
We were really looking forward to dos Pebrots as it is supposed to be a rather nice place. As the mail confirming our order asked us to be on time, we were at the restaurant about 2 minutes before 8 and entered the restaurant, only to hear a rather unfriendly "we open at 8, that's why the doors are closed". Following this "warm welcome", we apologised and waited outside until the doors were opened and the woman who had greeted us so unfriendly completely ignored us. One of us went inside and asked her whether it was okay for us to come in now which she completely ignored, and when we went looking for someone who would have the kindness to show us to our table, she just screamed "where is she going?". The lovely lady who turned out to be the manager kept ignoring us until we decided to look for a restaurant that actually wants guests to feel welcome. We told her exactly that which she just commented with a very professional "bye bye". The food sure is good considering the other reviews and the rest of the team seemed very nice as well, but no food can be so good that you have to accept such a behaviour from a person whose main competence should be customer service and management. Considering that the place was completely empty when we left after waiting for half an hour and that other places were completely full on this night, restaffing would probably be an option to create an atmosphere in which people actually want to spend time.

Yelp
One of the most unique places I've been to. The menu was super interesting and delicious ! Excellent experience. We came upon it by accident , it was one of the most pleasant surprises in Barcelona. A must for everyone. I guarantee you haven't journeyed down this path before.

Yelp
So I called before going there for lunch. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly. He said that that they weren't taking any more reservations for lunch but there was an area of the restaurant for walk-ins and I could go there and if there was space they would seat me. We jumped on our bikes to visit and peddled across town to dine there as it looked good. When we arrived towards the end of lunch the place was maybe 60% full at most. The bar was empty. Many tables were empty. A waitress approached and before I could say anything she said in Spanish "We are full." I explained that I called and that he had told me there was an area of the restaurants for walk-ins...She cut me off and basically told me she had no time for me because she had to work. Nice. I guess this is the service that has resulted in the other very low ratings that are sprinkled in here. If you are the owners or the chefs or anyone else associated with this restaurant there is a simple solution: Fire her. Not recommended at all.

Yelp
excellent! took me on an imaginative trip. Each dish had a fun description of its origin. I am a sucker for history , so to be able to imagine I am eating the same thing as the Romans did centuries ago was so fun. We sat near the kitchen and got to witness the preparation as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Must go! A very non tourist experience.
