Pretty ordinary spot for a meal when working. Taste good but nothing impressive. I couldn’t remember what I order tbh.. I guess chicken?

I’m so happy and thankful my daughter recommended this spot to me. It was such a feel good vibe when I ate there. I enjoyed chatting with Tahneille (while she was still very on point with providing excellent customer care). I say that because some folks are so busy talking they’re messing up orders.Her energy is so positive and pleasant which made the food taste even better imo. My tacos were fresh with just the right amount. We are in because the environment was clean and mellow. The restroom was also clean. It’s a good idea that you must make a purchase to use their restroom and there’s a code. It’s convenient to Grand Central Station for those who want to pick up something before hopping on MNR. I definitely recommend this location… will branch out and try some others.

The burrito bowl is not bad. They forgot my order so I had to wait quite a while but once I asked they were quick to prep my order. Good amount of seats and table but they are not clean.

Probably ordered 8-10x within the last few months. Seemed as if their food was running low - literally scrapped off the rice in the heater to give it to me as a meal, same thing with the Brussel sprouts. For the amount of food they give you you might as well go to the supermarket and make your own food for $11. To top it off - they ran out of medium sauce, prompted to give me a to go container, and only had one left. I won’t suggest coming here anymore. New people working and don’t seem trained or understand food service.

Horrible customer service. I ordered 20-30 mins before and when I got the restaurant it was empty but they still had not started on my order. Having a 30min lunch break I thought it would be convenient but the workers are slow and the lady at the cash register had an attitude when I asked about my order.

This used to be one of my go to spots for lunch. However, lately the food has been lacklustre at best. Today, the chicken has zero flavor or texture, my bowl barely has a dab of salsa or sour cream to save it and the farro is stale and hard. This one is sadly going to fall off the rotation for a while...

Looking for a reasonably priced lunch stop, this is one! Two fast serving lines, even at lunchtime. More options than Chipotle and just as good if not better. If you want water to drink, you don't have to buy bottled. They serve it at no cost. Limited seating at peak times, but a relaxing environment. This is definitely a great spot to grab a quick, satisfying bite.

Good and fresh. Favorite lunch for so many, it used to be long queue during lunch hours but the service is pretty fast to tackle this. My office is just opposite to it and this is the quickest place to get lunch and little better than chipotle.

It's a controversial opinion, but I prefer Dos Toros over Chipotle. I always get a burrito bowl here and the quality is consistently good. The ordering and pickup process is simple and stress free through their app and my order is always ready on time.

For the most part these were decent. Service could not be sweeter and I tried to go simple with my toppings for the verde chicken tacos: pico de gallo, hot sauce, and onions. But it was overall were pretty meh. The medium sauce was lacking heat and the chicken was quite dry. But the toppings were fresh, I'll give them that!

New location opened by LIRR side of Penn Station. They're open for breakfast so I stopped in and grabbed a breakfast burrito. Nice clean store. Maybe it's because I got the chorizo, but my burrito was way too salty.

The line was a bit confusing as I didn't know where it started or ended. I went during lunchtime, and it must've been before the rush of people came because the line wasn't so bad. The employees spoke so fast that I kept saying sorry because I needed them to repeat what they had just said. Anyway, I haven't had the food in a while, so I wanted to try it out. I did get the bowl with pork and all the toppings except for guacamole because I thought it was extra. This place is great for vegans, vegetarians, and non vegetarians. It reminds me of Chipotle as well.

I was left disappointed and hungry after service descended into chaos under the weight of excessive orders being taken simultaneously! I placed my order at 12:35 pm on Grubhub for pick up. I did not get my food in hand until 2:25 pm. At first, I was handed a bag with the wrong order, I sent it back and 10 minutes later was handed a bowl, no bag. I had to politely ask they place it in one for me. When I finally sat down to eat, I sadly, found my Brussels sprouts cold and onions partially raw. Despite the challenges posed by the avalanche of orders, the staff worked tirelessly to salvage the situation. I can not fault those hard-working people too much for the food being sub par. Instead, I blame Grubhub for not allowing users to easily cancel orders that stretch beyond a reasonable amount of time. I will be emailing a complaint to them. I also blame whomever is in charge of managing Dos Toros ordering system. They dropped the ball, BIG TIME!

I immediately felt the warmth upon entering this location. Maybe the AC wasn't functioning that day, but boy was it warm. Anywho, onto the food part, it was a Saturday, and there was no line. However, as I'm waiting for the burrito to be warmed I noticed the majority of the items were running on empty (peppers and onions, corn and lettuce) When she asked me what I would like, I'm hoping the employee grabs a new one, but she doesn't. Instead she just scrapes what's barely left of the peppers and onions and the lettuce, which I took issue with, but didn't say anything. The burrito didn't taste awkward or anything once I finally ate it-- just thought they should have replenished what was there. It's not like it was a busy day. I'm still a fan of Dos Toros and would return here-- if probably say something next time, if this was to happen again, though.

Dos Toros is close to my office when I'm working in Midtown - I've always been curious to try it out but had gotten around to it. The other day, one of my colleagues alerted me that they were having a special BOGO free for their bowls, and suggested we grab some lunch. You didn't have to tell me twice, so off we went. A lot of reviews here compare Dos Toros to Chipotle; I haven't been to the latter since I was in college, but it seems that they serve similar fare. The company has their roots in San Francisco, and specifically reference Mission in their marketing. I've actually had burritos from Mission while visiting SF, but can't compare since I had one of their bowls. Besides burritos and bowls, they also have a selection of tacos, quesadillas, and salads. Anyway, back to the bowls - like other fast-casual spots, you have the option to choose your base, add your protein, and then accent it with veg and sauces. The pulled pork was speaking to me, so I decided to get that over rice with pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and hot sauce. I really enjoyed the bowl - the ingredients were fresh, had lots of flavors, and it was the perfect lunch size. Overall, I had a good first experience at Dos Toros - the food was fresh, and they have a decent menu selection. I noticed there are a number of locations in the NYC Metropolitan Area, and would have no qualms stopping in one of them if I'm in their vicinity. I'm glad to add Dos Toros to my list of lunch spots whenever I'm working in Midtown.

To start off I love dos toros and think it's way better than chipotle hands down. Over the last 4 years I've religiously have gone to dos toros in midtown 2/3 times a week as it's super close to my job. Over the last 2 year the quality and portion have decreased tremendously. Half a scope of meat and rice, and a dollop of guacamole and sour cream isn't whether the price any more. Definitely time to find a new lunch spot.

Dear Dos Toros, We love your food & don't mind the long lines but please don't scam people. On a busy lunch hour today, I decided to try the Verde Chicken bowl with regular rice. The servers firstly appear blunt, and while it may not be their fault due to the long lines, it does turn off a customer. Secondly, they added grilled onions/peppers by mistake and asked me if I was okay to "pay extra". Thirdly, the lady at billing counter completely messed up my order - she charged me for a cauliflower rice & guac which they added without asking me. Dos Toros - Do you believe in something called Customer Service? Or do you just care about money from the next customer in line? Thank you.

Dos Toros is Chipotle with fresher ingredients and better taste. I got a carne asada bowl, and there were a variety of add-ons that were all really good! I ordered for pick-up, and it's a great quick and filling lunch option. I would probably recommend take out since they didn't seem to have AC, and it was pretty toasty in there.

WAY. BETTER. THAN. CHIPOTLE. Hands down waaaaaaaaay better than chipotle AND you get way more food. Now.... Is the price range different? Ah... probably not. I honestly cannot remember what I paid for my bowl. I'm almost certain it was around $15-18 as I was in Midtown East location. If you're a NYer you know prices vary depending on where you are in NY. With this being said -- I cannot remember what I ordered on my bowl BUT what I can say is I thoroughly enjoy that bowl friends..... If I remember correctly, I was still in college and desperately looking for something GOOD to eat. It was a cool summer day when I stumbled upon this empty facility until I saw it was lunch time and that was my cue to hurry the hell up and order. The dining area is way nicer than chipotle. Any day any time. It's sort of dim lit inside and mostly wood aesthetic. The service is quick, efficient and kind.

One of my favorite spots to stop for a quick lunch. Very similar to Chipotle with better options and fresher ingredients in my opinion. I usually get the chicken bowl.

I've been craving authentic burritos since I moved from the Bay to NY: I knew this was legit after my first bite! I'm not exactly sure how they've captured it but it tasted like an SF burrito and I was ever so grateful!

This is by far the worst Dos Toros in Manhattan and Ive been to at least 3-4 others over the years. Usually Dos Toros is good to great, but if they all were like this one on Lexington they would have folded a long time ago. Attitude from everyone on the assemblyline making the food and the burrito tasted off and gross. Not like its usual self. It felt like the tortilla was super thin and gummy, the guac was old and heavy on cilantro for some reason, onions and peppers were cold, beans watery. Gross. I just started a job on Lex and wont be back.

Hmmmm not even sure what to say... i like food. i like tacos. i ordered chicken tacos. I asked for stuff on it. There was not a single thing about it which i would say was tasty In my opinion (IMO)....all very bland to me. i had a pile of something which added up to a pile of stuff which tasted like bland nothing. What i ordered (you get 2 individually wrapped)--- chicken taco, lettuce, little bit of cheese, rice, salsa, and corn salsa. Here are some things you should know...i did take it back to the office, 5 minute walk...the tortilla could not hold up ....just fell apart , bland, ...i asked for the normal red salsa & corn salsa...maybe should have asked for pico de gallo as well...you think it would have made it a party...NOPE. MAYBE This was an off day for this restaurant's cook...it was a friday, was about 1, was no line at the time so food was served quite timely...so no issues with the service which was excellent. On this particular day...i would say was NOT a notch above a Chipotle...wish it was better. My Experience...40+ years of eating stuff i like...i also cook tasty stuff...just my opinion.

The sandwich board outside the store boasting 'shrimp' as a protein option caught my attention (it worked!) so I decided to try it. This was my first time ever going to a Dos Toros. Well, the shrimp they offer is very disappointing. It's those teeny tiny popcorn shrimp, and I they must not hold seasoning well due to their diminutive size because I didn't even taste 'shrimp' in the bowl at all. The flavors of the rest of the ingredients are also lacking compared to their competitors like Qdoba, Moe's, and Baja Fresh. The bowl was pretty blah to me.

Wasn't really authentic. I don't like proportioned food. If it's pick your toppings on your taco and just use 2-3 ingredients it should be a tad more. Someone can get everything on theirs but I was rationed on my corn and beans! I wanted 2 scoops of each since my skinny taco was 1/3 the size of my friend who got everything! Ridiculous!! We also ate in- they asked for VaxCards but we never showed them as we ordered.

Food is always top notch! And the service is fast! You can always expect quality and taste

$15+ dollar for a "burrito" plus terrible customer service?? A scoop of dry rice, cold beans, and nasty meat???

Terrible service and antic behind the counter. I felt like one woman was upset at having to help me. She looked bothered. I decided to leave and i could hear her talking about me to her colleagues. It wasn't anything she said, it was how she said it. I will Never go back to this location. After that treatment and disregard for my business, i mosied on over to Chipotle on 50th & Park where they made me feel like a human being again.

Fast and efficient service met with smiling faces and kindness. What more could I ask? Delicious food and better people. Thank you for your great work.

Stick to Chipotle. This place barely gave me any food in my bowl. The guacamole was browning. I could barely understand the servers. They appeared to rush me while there was no one in the store. The food was terrible.

What I liked about the food here is that it was really fresh. The burritos are longer than your usual so it's very filling. I got the steak guacamole, black beans sour cream cheese , mild Salsa burrito and it was soo good. they have a free water station and plenty of seats in this location. The lines moved very fast so I would definitely come back. For those inquiring about catering I can also say I had the chance to try their catering food and it was also same quality of freshness everything was delicious. And everyone had more than enough to fill them up.

First time ever trying this place. Not impressed. This location had rude workers. My chicken tacos order had 2 and 3 bones in it. I almost broke my tooth. I'll stick with chipotle, as you get 3 tacos for about the same price. Also, the cashier stares at you with a " you better tip us $100 look" and watches as you enter your tip amount on the iPad. Guy in front of me left a custom amount of $2 and she was annoyed. TIPS ARE OPTIONAL! I just wanted to get out of there and hit the 20% button. Intimidating your guests into high tips is pathetic. It's motivating me to save money and brown bag lunches more often cause NYC eateries are getting out of hand with this bullying tipping tactics everywhere.

I tried to leave a review on a deliver service site and they wouldn't allow it. It must take away from their business. Anyway, I have Dos Toros a second chance and received just terrible food today. Portions not even big enough for a child, missed ingredients, half spilled. I tried to call them but after an automated message was disconnected. Food and food delivery is expensive, the least restaurants can do is send a decent meal.

This place is similar to Chipotle, but personally, I think it is better. My office has both a Dos Toros and a Chipotle nearby, and I have often had a stale/dry tortilla for a burrito at the other place but never at this location of Dos Toros! They can be a bit slow on service, but the burritos always taste very good. Great for a grab and go lunch if you are on the run or work nearby.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars!!! Customer service was lacking. Cashier has a serious attitude problem. Very skimpy with ingrediants!! Server acted like she was adding a pinch of salt to my bowl when I asked for cheese. Smh For $15 for a bowl you should get a bowl thats not less than halfway full. Used to love Dos Toro but sadly the more stores they open, they worse the experience gets. Will not be back.

This is one of the few Dos Toros locations that is actually still opened during the pandemic. I personally like their chicken and rice more than Chipotle. This location has a very friendly staff and they all are wearing masks and following proper protocol. Also, you can't beat their prices for under $9 for a bowl. Highly recommend.

Where to start with Dos Toros? Well, it's easily my favorite burrito in New York. I'm fortunate enough to work around the corner from this Dos location and come here quite often for lunch. The ingredients are fresh, along with a healthy serving size and to top it off, the best (and in some instances, hottest) hot sauce out there. Highly recommend asking for the "double dragon" when asked about sauce, which is a combo of the mild and hot. Also, it's always neatly wrapped and never falls apart on you - and important staple to the quality burrito. Lastly, they've streamlined the ordering process so well that even in a huge lunch line, you'll be in and out in under 5 minutes. If you want a great burrito (or bowl) quickly and with tons of flavor, make Dos your spot!

Not sure the difference between this place, chipotle, qdoba, etc. Similar quick service restaurant. You pick your ingredients and they put it together. I wouldnt say this place was any fresher or cleaner than similar places. Not sure the differentiating factor but in order for it to take over the market it is going to need one. I ordered the salad bowl with chicken. It was ok. Chicken was dry, the other ingredients were ok. The guacamole wasnt the most flavorful either. Prob wouldnt come back.

Great cheap fresh food and prior great cashiers but today the cashier didn't have a clue and the manager was quite unprofessional. Is this the new NY? I suppose we have to be happy with what we can get? Also they need to open the door and let some fresh air in I left smelling like a burrito from the smoke and I just washed my hair ugh.

Clean quick and good priced. Feels a little like Chipotle but maybe a little better with some different options. Steak Bowl was great.

Listen up, this spot's the bomb (good music playlist) and Karina was the sweetest, most helpful person when I walked in to place one of those obnoxious I-don't-know-wtf-I-want orders. At the end of the day! No hint of the attitude you sometimes find elsewhere at places that are about to close. She patiently walked me through the price differences (as if I'd never been to a burrito restaurant in my life) and treated me with kindness after a really exhausting day. Thanks Karina!!!

I would leave 1 star, but the food was actually good. If your gonna order pickup to avoid all human interaction go right ahead, chips and guac were good. However, in a city like New York where every restaurant is good, just keep walking. The people working were just pure mean. Rolling eyes at customers and borderline insulting you when you don't know how to order correctly. Don't know who needs to hear this, but I don't feel like watching my girlfriend get roasted by the tortilla presser because she didn't know she couldn't customize her tortilla while there were others in line?? Look, I totally get we are tourists, but so is most of the city at this time of year. After the awful interaction with the workers, I decided to check in and see how they treated others. Didn't even bother to continue the mission as they were just staring us down as we ate. Super awkward situation to be eating in. Look, great food, absolutely awful service in a competitive industry like NYC. Wish I would've kept it walking instead of opening the doors, made the people I was with feel bad about the way they ordered. Then flipping the iPad asking for a tip after the 5 minutes of judgement, cmon now.

Definitely better than some of their competitors. The staff are friendly and the line moves quick. They have ABC On and Off. When it's nice outside the windows are open and you can view the traffic and people going by.

Hits the spot for quick lunch fast casual. On par with other Dos Toros locations with no complaints. Generally quite empty outside of lunch hour.

In the past weeks I have eaten at DOS TOROS GRAND CENTRAL on Lexington. Avenue three times because of the excellence of the food, the efficiency of the service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. It is easy to Fonda well balanced meal that is tasty and nutritious. Last I was particularly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of Ashley and Edna, Thank you, Dos Toros. You're sure to see me in the future!. (My particular favorite dish is their spectacular salad bowl. For a slight extra fee, you can cut down the carbohydrate load and get cauliflower rice.)

Sam idea, but Dos Toros is no Chipotle. I like that their line is a bit more efficient, but that's about it. The taste is subpar to that of Chipotle's. Dos Toros' food is just not as flavorful. The price is about the same as chipotle, but I felt the portion was much smaller.

This was better than Chipotle in my opinion. The guac, corn, pico, everything has such vibrant color and flavor. The carne asada quesadilla is basically a burrito without rice. The onions and peppers were a great addition too. I recommend eating this fresh only, everything tastes 100x saltier when cold from the fridge. Two lines, great during the lunch rush. Fast service, loud atmosphere, seats are always taken.

One of the few Dos Toros locations open during the pandemic. It's the same quality and taste, but with extra care in the cleanliness department. And also still better than Chipotle because it's not a national chain.

Best upscale fast casual burritos in town! Fresh tasty ingredients, very friendly service, and fast moving line makes this a great Dos Toros location. Seating at lunch fills up pretty fast so your best bet is to get your order to go. Don't be intimidated by the line. It moves very quickly as they have two different assembly stations. The burritos are the real star here as they are expertly assembled and wrapped. Go easy on the super hot sauce, it is actually incredibly hot. This location is card only so no cash is accepted.

I think the chicken quesadilla with guacamole I got was better than Chipotle at first, but now thinking back, it's only probably because I spent two years of my life getting Chipotle burrito bowls at least once a week. The two places really aren't very different, so you really can't go wrong with either. My quesadilla had really fresh ingredients, and the only thing that really sucks about this location is the fact that during lunch rush, it takes forever... which is basically true at every place around where I work. The staff here is pretty fast though, and the amount they give is acceptable, but nothing insanely huge. Conclusion: Pretty average.

Yes, the Chipotle comparisons are abundant but Dos Toros manages to separate itself from its competition by providing a less salty Tex Mex offering. The interiors are warm and cozy, with the red walls in stark comparison to Chipotle's warehouse/factory feel. While the line at this location curves, it moves at an alarmingly efficient pace. Quality and service must be sacrificed right? Well on the three occasions I've visited the location, the workers have been friendly. Yes, there is a feeling of rush, but the menu is simple enough that you can easily order (there's only one kind of salsa). In an attempt to maximize my food quantity, I usually impose the standard burrito chain hack of getting a bowl with a tortilla on the side. I pile on the meat and veggies, get some verde sauce, and order some sour cream on the side. While the quantity is less, it's nice to not have to drink a gallon of water and suffer from salt bloat for the rest of the day. Also, I'm not a rich man, but I always get the Guac. It's only 1.15 extra and has a very good flavour. Give Dos Toros a shot and you'll never look back

They wouldn't put chipotle salad dressing in my burrito, and rudely claimed that it's only for the salads. I even offered to pay for a side of the chipotle salad dressing, and they still said no!!! like what??? who's the manager? check your staff lmao

I turned my nose at this place when I walked in because I thought it was a knock off Chipotle.... but boy was I wrong! Other than their small portion size, they have freshly made rice, beans And meAt! And to top it off, their Verde sauce is amazing! To drink, they have glass cokes & jarritos but I opted for a Sprite.
