Dosa Corner Review - Mission - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Change is constantly in the air in San Francisco, so after closed it was inevitable that something new would take its spot. Enter Dosa Corner, a South Indian restaurant specializing in the eponymous dosa. The inside remains mostly unchanged from Al’s, so expect the same, almost beach-like interior albeit with completely different food. The dosa menu runs deep with savory choices like gun powder (podi) dosa, paneer tikka dosa, and masala dosa, all accented with fragrant and spicy chutneys and sauces. Also on offer are the pancake-like uttapam topped with things like mixed vegetables and podi. The rest of the menu consists of entrées like chicken coconut kuruma and palak paneer, though they lack the luster of the dosa and uttapam. For the best results stick to those wonderful dosa and uttapam—and maybe order a few small bites like the baby corn manchurian/pepper fry." - Ricky Rodriguez

Place was old, blue on the outside, sign was really small and only on one side of the building...doesnt look inviting. Place could have been cleaner. Food was good. I wanted spicy, the really spicy dosa wasn't spicy...that is why it's 4 star for food Phone service wasn't all that great but they were really nice in person.

Google
Been here twice and loved everything we’ve tried! Solid dosas but also incredible curries. The paneer palak was super fresh. Garlic naan was one of the best we’ve had. For dosas we tried the traditional ones but also some fusion ones (with American cheese!) that weren’t bad actually! But next time would probably stick to the traditional ones 😅 great chutney too! Will try biryani next time.

Google
The food here is delicious but I felt the place was rather dark and stuffy. The table for two people seating was rather small so large dishes crammed the small table. I'm tall so I had to sit sideways to avoid hitting my knees with my friend sitting across from me. The Lamb pepper fry was cooked perfectly and Indian spices were on point which complimented the garlic naan bread.

Google
Delicous food, great flavors, great textures. I enjoyed the Bombay dosa and the paneer with chef sauce and chilis paired with the paratha perfect. Started with the fire broth soup and pairing everything with a cold beer really rounded out the whole meal ⭐️ As for atmosphere I would have liked some subtle background music but all everything was excellent

Google
This is my second or third time here. I decided to go off the beach and path and try a non-dosa or non uttapam dish. I am glad I did because the biryani was excellent as was the chili chicken appetizer. Even the naan was good, it was thinner almost like a parota but yummy. The flavors really reminded me of eating in South India. And Andhra food has always been of interest and I'm so glad we have this restaurant here. Used to have to go to South Bay for the best Indian food but this place proves that to be wrong!

Google
Amal Doss went above and beyond to make sure our food was satisfied 10/10. Food is very tasty! I'll recommend to try Chicken 65 and Chicken Boneless Biryani here. Clean and Well maintained place right around the corner. I'll definitely come here again!

Google
One of the best dosas I’ve had in SF!! I took my mother here and she also loved it. The Andhra kala masala dosa is a must if you like spicy, it’s a really unique flavor and we absolutely loved it. On top of the food, the chai and service was also great!

Harshitha N.G.

Google
We came here for the dinner. Took Gobi Manchurian and paneer biriyani. Gobi was a bit salty, than usual. But the Paneer Biryani transported us back to the authentic taste of India. I think biriyani is a good choice! Just tasty!

Yelp
Lovely. I usually go to Udupi Palace for dosas, but a new friend suggested this place and it's solid. They put more attention to the layout and aesthetic with nice tables and cool chairs. They have a nice selection of dishes, veggie and meat, including a nicely spiced mutton dish. Everything is very flavorful. My favorite was probably their parota. Gets me every time. I'll come back, especially if I'm looking for a nicer spot.

Yelp
First time at Dosa and it really did not disappoint. I had read reviews discussing authentic flavors and more of a casual spot. We ended up going on a Sunday around 1pm. We were fortunate enough to find parking across the street; however, that part of Valencia isn't as busy. We were sat down immediately and decided we wanted to order the onion masala dosa, butter chicken and paneer tikka. The owner asked us if we'd be interested in trying another chicken dish. She said she likes when her customers get a taste of something else they may like and have never tried. Her telling us didn't feel pushy, if anything it felt like she cared about us getting more familiar with different flavors. She suggested her favorite, gongura chicken which when we looked up is made with go gongura paste that comes from leaves grown in India. We agreed and were very happy with the outcome. We told her we wanted mild flavors on the spice scale and we did like sweet. The gongura chicken was so good! The garlic naan was so fresh, buttery and had a good amount of minced garlic. Their take on paneer tikka was also very flavorful. It had plenty of paneer and feel there was a good contrast between tomato flavor and sweetness possibly from the green bell pepper. We def plan on coming back to try more dishes.

Yelp
An amazing spot in sf for south indian food. There are quite a few on Valencia, but I think the quality and the price value of the dishes makes it a step above the rest. We tried their chicken curry dosa and the onion dosa. It's pretty rare to see non vegetarian dosas so I was impressed, but the texture and flavor of the onion dosa was better for me. Their ginger chutney was a surprise to me, the flavor of the ginger was very strong which wasn't for me I could see people that'd like it. The fish biryani was a good portion, but I wouldn't say the fish specifically was that great i'd like to try out their other biryanis next time. Also worth mentioning their mango lassi is pretty thick and flavorful. You can tell they didn't skimp on the yogurt. Overall great variety and good service. if you're cold and want good comfort food i'd look here.

Yelp
It's a relatively busy restaurant for a Tuesday evening. Although he was courteous, there was only one waiter as we can tell....It took some time for him to take order and bring food. The menu was pretty extensive mixture of veg and non-veg items. We ordered the mysore masala dosa - not too spicy and had a lot of potatoes filling which made the dosa less crispy towards the middle. Rogan Josh lamb is tasty as well. Gobi Manchurian was good flavor but texture was too tough and chewy...will probably pass on this item.

Yelp
I am amazed. Didn't have Indian in a very long time and that's what my acquaintance suggested and I picked. The place is very well-lit and clean. There are many vegetarian options, as well as meat. I went with the lamb dosa and it's huge. It comes with 3 sauces. The spice level is good. It does not bite but can get your nose loose or a tear or two. I like spicy and it was medium for me. Mango lassi was nice and fresh. A little too much yogurt, but it gives you a fresh and cool effect after the spicy. Biryani was very well-made and a nice portion is provided. I would come back

Yelp
This was a nice little dosa place with a good selection of vegetarian and meat dosas as well as other dishes. We ordered the rava masala dosa and the gunpowder masala dosa. Both dosa had nice crisp to them and the potatoes were yummy. I wish the podi stuck to the dosa better but other than that this was a yummy choice.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty and huge portions, I forgot to take a picture. We got the veggie pakora, which came in an enormous basket and I had a hard time restraining myself from just eating those, My friend had the onion dosa, I had the Bombay street dosa. She finished hers, but mine was enough for a whole separate meal. We both agreed the chutneys were not what we expected. I liked the leftovers better because I was able to use my own coconut and mint chutneys at home. Service was minimal but sufficient, the food came quickly but we had to wave them down to pay the check. Ambiance was quiet on a weekday for late lunch. The menu is huge, I hope to go back and try more of it.

Yelp
Finally found a place with authentic Indian food! I've been so unsatisfied with the biryani options in the city but this place is my FAVORITE. It's not just "good enough for the city" but it reminds me of one of favorite places in Sunnyvale (the Bay Area Mecca for Indian food). I ended up ordering takeout and got samosas + Ulavacharu chicken biryani. Came with chutneys and raita + salan respectively. Warning that Ulavacharu chicken biryani was pretty spicy and I would go for dum biryani for a less spicier option. Will be back to to try more!

Yelp
4.25 STARS Dosa Corner got that zero waste concept down solid! They took over Al's Place and kept EVERYTHING nearly the same... Same blue and white color scheme inside and out. Same furnishings, tables, and chairs. Same plants above the entrance door...well, the living ones at least. Same Aesop hand soap bottles in the restroom. It was like déjà vu. Hell, even "Al's Place" is still written on the entrance door. In today's economy, that's the way to do it. Focus on the food and to hell with the décor! From the folks behind Aaha Indian Cuisine is Dosa Corner serving North and South Indian Cuisine. Takeout, delivery, and indoor dining available. Their yelp page says, they have outdoor seating but they've removed the sidewalk seating. Maybe they'll add it back later? M E N U * Idly (savory rice cake), Vada (fritter), Dosa (crepe), Uttapam (thick crepe), Biryani, and Meat + Veggie Curries. No naan, chapati, or paratha. No alcohol at this time. Grand opening promo: 10% off until 6/30/23. F O O D * Masala Dosa ($12): https://tinyurl.com/59em48hb --Add cheese (+$2) The dosa was beautifully golden brown and soft with crispy edges (made from fermented rice + lentil batter), filled with spiced mashed potatoes (masala) with a sprinkling of cheese for a salty sharpness: https://tinyurl.com/yebfh824. Half the dosa was good enough for a small meal. I placed the leftovers in the airfryer for dinner and it was just as delicious with an even crispy exterior. Dosa accompaniments: --Sambar: The lentil veggie stew was scalding hot, hearty, and comforting with tender cauliflower and carrots. Good spice level for those who like spicy foods. --Chutneys (L to R): Ginger: fav; flavorful and zesty w/ heat, tomato: tangy and acidic, peanut: nutty, and coconut: tropical and sweet. * Goat Shahi Korma ($17) --Requested spicy The korma gravy was well-spiced, creamy, and slightly nutty. I appreciate that spicy = spicy. There were more bones than actual goat meat. And, the bones were sharp so beware (!!!), you can easily puncture your gums/roof of your mouth if you're not careful. What meat there was, was tender tho. S E R V I C E Kind server but slow food service for being empty; I encountered the same thing at their sister resto. Visited right when they opened for lunch and it took about 25 minutes for the food with no other diners and no takeout/delivery orders. I hope efficiency will improve once they get dialed in. A M B I A N C E Same exact as Al's Place...low-key and casual with seating for about 30 people. P A R K I N G Street parking only. On the quieter part of Valencia before the hot mess of the new bike lanes so parking is not as challenging. Overall, Dosa Corner serves very solid dosa and accompaniments that IMO is better than their sister resto, Aaha and neighboring competitor, Udupi Palace. Looking forward to returning for their Indo-Chinese dishes and the Ghee Roast Masala Dosa!

Yelp
Dosa Corner is a hidden gem in SF, hands down. I'm even scared of blowing this place up lol I love it so much. My group of 7 friends went in without a reservation at near 7 pm this Thursday evening and had no wait. You know it's gonna be good when they pull out the paper menus stapled together, ya know? The staff is so friendly and nice, serving with a smile every time. The cooks are very talented and know their South Indian cuisine (coming from a South Indian as well). Favorite dishes: Fried Idli Karam, Chicken 65, Chili Cheese Masala Dosa, and the Egg Dosa. The fried idli karam is fried idli pieces and spiced. I've never had it served like this before and it was soooo good. A MUST get honestly, we order at least one for the table every time we go. Another app that's a hit is the chicken 65. You get so much and they're made in the classic South Indian way that I love. Both the chili cheese masala dosa and the egg dosas are my favorites! You have to get them and try. If you're going with friends, it would be fun to each get a different dosa and try them all. The podi dosa and rava dosa are both so good too. The portions with the prices at this place are unbeatable in the city. They do not skimp out at all.

Yelp
The food here is really tasty, and pretty clean. As in not swimming in bad quality oil like some Indian spots. I've had dosa, saag paneer, and goat rogan josh. All very tasty...the goat was tender and the sauce sooo good! I get mild and it's still spicy. I prefer their indian dishes to just the dosa, but it's all good. Please put some decorations on the walls, and make it a nicer place to eat in. I can tell the place is run by men who don't care about ambiance.

Yelp
I am from New Jersey and feel like my Indian friends have trained me enough to know great Indian food. Normally, for my dosa fix, I head a bit north on Valencia for my favorite veg spot, but I am so glad to have found a new favorite for dosas here in the Mission! I had the chili cheese masala dosa, which packed a punch as expected. I inhaled the dosa and the delicious chutneys so quickly! In the mean time, my partner ordered the chicken tikka masala and lamb biryani - portions were what I would expect for both dishes and we had a little left over to bring home (so I could tell he enjoyed his food as well). Like others have mentioned, service can be spotty, but we were attended to and served very quickly. Our server forgot our chai, but was quick to remove it from our bill when we pointed it out. We will definitely be back again!

Yelp
I tried this place out over the weekend for lunch and I was a little disappointed. The idli was microwaved and was definitely not fresh since it was a little rubbery. The dosas were good and very spicy which I liked but the Mysore masala dosa came out cold. The staff was friendly and the natural sunlight made the place a nice lunch spot.
google avatar

Chandni S.

Yelp
Ok so this is a really good spot and everyone should try this place. After a long time I finally have come across a really good South Indian food spot. The ambiance is serene and calm with dim lights, which I personally love. They have an open kitchen but NO it does not smell like some Indian restaurants. The staff is really attentive, kind and swift. I would come here again. I gotta try all the other curries and items on the menu :p Highly recommend it!
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Great portion. Love the large cone dosa. It's very crispy. The chutneys aren't exceptional in my opinion, but still great value.
google avatar

Nikki M.

Yelp
Pretty solid dosas! Andhra dosa had a good flavor to it, but wish it was a little crispier! Pretty speedy service, and nice place.
google avatar

Filza V.

Yelp
The vibes were quite nice in the restaurant- no wait and clean. The service was also very good- nothing to complain about. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the food. They microwaved our idlis right in front of us. This was very disappointing and unprofessional- idli should be served fresh and definitely not microwaved in direct eyesight of paying customers. We saw them microwave it, take it out, and bring it to us. I got a spring dosa which I could not even finish. It was soggy and had way too much of what tasted like store-bought schezuan chutney. My friend got the masala dosa which was probably the best thing we got. I enjoyed it quite a bit and loved all the chutneys. If it was not for the idli experience I probably would have returned again for the masala dosa but unfortunately, that ruined my experience.

C. Y.

Yelp
Boneless chicken biryani: 5 stars Uttapam: 3 stars (not crispy enough) Idly: 3 stars (a bit hard/dry) Blatantly giving other Indians preferential seating, and non-Indians second-class seating: 0 stars (3 non-Indian parties of 2 were seated at 2-tops, while 4 parties of 1-2 Indians each were seated at 4-tops. WTF.)
google avatar

Becca H.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday and it had a lot of seating available. This place is obviously known for their dosas! The dish itself is so big!! It was my first time trying and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend coming here to try a dosa - they had so many options to choose from. The samosas were also really good. The chicken tikka masala was tasty, but chicken was a little dry. The waiter helped us make decisions. Overall, it was a great experience and would return.
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Great food and it travels well. Ordered delivery and it all came hot and delicious. One thing - in the restaurant the dosa is a visual feast. It's almost 2 feet long and crispy. They fold it up to fit it in a takeout container and so it shows up without the drama. Still taste good.

Yelp
When we still lived in S.F. we were frequent diners at Dosa in the Fillmore, and occasionally at their Valencia St. location as well. On a recent visit my (adult) kid wanted to eat there again. I told them I thought the restaurant had closed, but they said they had walked by it. When we met nearby friends for dinner, we reserved a table at Dosa Corner Indian Cuisine. This place was *not* Dosa. Dosa was a beautiful restaurant (though the Valencia space was less elegant than the Fillmore location and the tables had been too close together). The best that can be said about this interior is that I cannot remember a single thing about it. No savory smells greeted us at the door. No richly flavored, exquisitely spiced - well, anything. Both the food and service were perfunctory. The food had the qualities of mass-market production: think Taco Bell in comparison to real taqueria food. One of our friends did like it, though, because "nothing was spicy." He was sincere; turns out he doesn't like spicy food. So this might be the perfect place to take friends and family who want to try something "exotic " but don't want it to taste "foreign " or "weird" or spicy. As for us, we will mourn the loss of Dosa with its fantastic modern Indian cuisine and service. But we won't be fooled again.
google avatar

Reza A.

Yelp
I went to Dosa for lunch and ordered the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani and it is kind of spicy but delicious. Highly recommended.
google avatar

R N.

Yelp
I went there for dinner with 2 friends, Amazing food , good ambiance and great service.
google avatar

Sandhya G.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to tasting the dosas at this place, being a South Indian vegetarian. I should say that although the service was not as per my expectations, the dosa was okay. I was really not impressed by the side dishes as they could be made a little bit better to taste authenticity. I found that the seating inside the restaurant is very cramped as the two seater table we used couldn't even fit all the plates.
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy. We didn't have any trouble getting a table though and we were promptly seated. Unfortunately, after that the service went downhill. The waiter wasn't very observant and we had to constantly flag him down or even go up to the register if we needed something. Also, our dosa's came out 10 minutes apart. Almost like the kitchen could only make one dosa at a time. Service aside, the food wasn't too bad. They have a decent selection of dosas, including a few non-veg versions. I had a lamb curry dosa and it was delicious. The chutneys were a little watery in my opinion, but still tasty. They haven't been open too long, so I'm hoping they work out the kink's over the next few months.
google avatar

Bryan W.

Yelp
I got the chicken tikka Marsala and garlic cheese naan. Let me just say the naan alone was AMAZING!! Marsala sauce was very creamy and delicious. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

S V.

Yelp
We went for late night dinner at 10 pm on a Saturday. The place was well occupied. Friendly staff. We bordered 1. Parotta 2. Chicken Kebab 3. Rava Dosa 4. Idly Food was good, decent quantity. Special mention for chicken kebab( no added colors) Clean simple ambiance. Good food would recommend for nice Indian meal.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
Excellent Bombay style Dosa! (Keeping in mind I've never been there). It's not fancy but the price is reasonable and the food tasty.
google avatar

Merra K.

Yelp
Clean and great atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Crispy dosa. If you are looking a the traditional South Indian dosa taste - unfortunately this slightly missed the mark as the flour hadn't soured enough yet (this process gives the dosa its signature traditional taste). But if you a looking for a great light meal this totally hits the mark esp if you aren't fussy about that unique taste being in it. The chutneys were peanut, tomato, coconut. Personally liked the coconut n tomato. The sambar (lentil soup) was fine. The masala (potato) tasted just like mash. I wish they would add more of the South Indian flavours in so it's not as mild. Overall great place. I'm just being nit pickier with picky having grown up eating this food.
google avatar

Nitu S.

Yelp
dosa corner is a local favorite for me. I've had the mysore dosa and the masala dosa multiple times and they do not disappoint. the masala fries leave something to be desired though. overall, great food, dine in is good (unless you're alone get a larger table because the dosas are huge), and i'll continue to come back!
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
Exactly what you're looking for.. dosas galore. Many many veg and non veg options to choose from.. very spacious and not busy when we went around 8pm. Pretty big servings for the price point, but I think the potato masala wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping ): Waiters were friendly though, and food came out fresh and fast. This was my first time having a type of ginger chutney, was a cool new experience.
google avatar

Li S.

Yelp
Delicious Indian food, not too heavy, good variety of options. Ordered pickup and it was ready within the expected time.
google avatar

Penny P.

Yelp
We had the Masala Dosa and Idly Sambar. Both items were amazing! The Dosa was huge and crisp. The chutneys were fabulous. I want to put the ginger chutney on everything I eat but my husband won't let me The idles were so thick and huge that I could only eat one. The Sambar was spicy to perfection ‼ We will be steady customers here
google avatar

Akanksha B.

Yelp
Bad food for South Indian. Bombay masala dosa was mostly filled with raw cabbage and food was bland, lacked flavor and taste. Disappointed, please don't go here. Service was ok.
google avatar

Meghana G.

Yelp
I'm South Indian - and grew up eating a lot of South Indian food (in the states and in India). The food here is spectacular!!!!!! So delicious, spicy, tangy and everything you want in a savory breakfast. We got the rasam (an absolute MUST TRY), paneer biriyani (I'm from Hyderabad- the city KNOWN for it's biriyani, and this is some of the best biriyani I've ever had), plain dosa and podi dosa (both super delish). I unfortunately didn't take any photos because I was so consumed with eating the food. The reason I'm giving this wonderful place 4 stars is I think it has SO MUCH POTENTIAL when it comes to service and ambiance. No one opened the door when the restaurant opened (even though we were clearly waiting outside for a while before opening). It was a chilly day and my partner closed the door behind multiple people because the wind was not creating the best vibes at the table we were seated at. Multiple staff members walked by but did nothing. I also think the space is gorgeous and they are set up really well to create a more elevated experience, but it doesn't seem like that is being up kept. I really really want to see this place thrive and succeed in the long run!! It's so nice to have great South Indian food in the city (especially breakfast food)
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
The dosas here are flavorless and aren't the right texture as well While this place was sold to me as the best dosa place in SF, the low standards of SF southern Indian food really did shine The Kara Masala dosa had spice but no other flavors to round it out like some garlic and didn't really have any oil so was incredibly dry. At the same time, the dosa also didn't really have any flakiness to it so it was dry but also staying in large pieces at the same time which was interesting to say the least There are some better options in SF, and this place doesn't have peanut chutney, so would recommend trying other places
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Dosa Corner has taken over the space occupied by the former Michelin-starred AL's Place, and everything from the decor to the tables, chairs, and dinnerware remains the same! As the name of the restaurant implies, dosas are the thing to order here, and the huge rice and lentil batter crepes are served on rectangular metal platters along with sambar (lentil soup) and four different chutneys: ginger, tomato, spicy peanut, and coconut. My pick was the Lamb Curry Dosa, which came with an unbelievably generous filling of boneless cubes of lamb cooked in a heavily spiced base of chopped onions. The lamb curry had a spicy kick, and the chutneys, though on the watery side, were each distinct in flavorful. But the best part was simply the thin, crispy dosa, which was perfect for eating with the curry filling and the chutneys. I also tried the Chicken Tikka Kebab, made of boneless dark meat chicken in a deep red yogurt marinade, served with carrot sticks, onions, and mint chutney on the side. Overall, the food here was tasty and came in generous portions, though it was rather greasy and wasn't particularly balanced in flavor and spices.

Yelp
Not an expert on Indian cuisine but I thought it was very delicious. This place doesn't seem to get much traffic but am very glad they open late! Dosas are very hard to find in San Francisco. Enjoyed the chutneys & rasama that come with the dosas. Just wished that they had a ayce option becuase I can down 3 of these easily

Yelp
I love Aaha, so I was excited to order from their new spot. There is some menu crossover, but this is obviously more dosa focused. The Bombay street dosa was delicious - tons of fresh veggies (cabbage, carrot, jalapeño, seasoned steamed potato) and a little bit of cheese. The medhu vada was also great - so much flavor, great texture, etc. I just knocked a star off because they didn't include most of the dosa dips. I got the two dips I see pictured with the medhu vada, but all I got with my dosa was a sort of seasoned veggie packed broth. There weren't at least two of the sauces (e.g. green sauce) that I see in all the pictures here, which is a real bummer because I was looking forward to trying those. But, the two sauces I did get with the medhu vada were bomb, especially the deep red spicy sauce, and that was excellent on the dosa -- I used all of it!

Yelp
This is our go to place to get authentic Indian food in the Bay Area. Their Dosa are great, flavorful and super spicy. We also tried their Biryani. Super Spicy Beware. I would come back next time I am in the bay area. Cleanliness and sitting area is also good. Parking on the street is easily available.
google avatar

Rachel Z.

Yelp
Fun place that has reasonably priced Dosa crepe/pancakes. The flavors were excellent and the Dosa was crispy and rolled up. Fun to go to the back and watch the Dosa maker in action. Service was a bit slow, meals brought at different times- but still a great place.

Yelp
Al's Place to Andhra Palace So happy to see fast casual Indian dining pop up in SF. More often than not, we are biting the bullet and driving to Sunnyvale and Fremont and Dublin for our dosa fix so Dosa Corner is a very welcome addition. We went on a Sunday around 1 and it was fairly busy but we got seated right away. It took several minutes to get our order but we had a chance to review the menu and take the place in. Between my friend and I, we shared the Idly, the Vada in Rasam (not pictured), and the Ghee Roast Masala Dosa. All were very tasty. The Idly were glossy, spongy, and super moist. The sambhar was surprisingly spicy and loaded with veggies- I was so happy to see drumsticks (a kind of Moringa). The rasam was delicious but the vada was just okay- it had too many whole peppercorns for my liking and biting into one with each bite was a lot. Soooo many chutneys!!! They all tasted extremely fresh and had great consistency. The peanut one was my favorite. By the time we left, there were atleast 3 groups of 4-6 people which was so nice to see. I hope dosas and idlys become synonymous with comfort food in the same way phô, ramen, and tacos have.

Yelp
I guess the Gobi was good The people who work there are sweet But the dosa was horrible -especially rava. And it's called Dosa Corner so I expected the dosa to be decent The chutneys are also really tasteless I really don't understand Indian restaurants having such bad food Is it that no one knows or no one complains or you're just trying to fool everyone I don't get it I even shared this with them when I was there then they didn't offer to take anything off of my bill I'm not eating here ever again Sticking to madras cafe.

Yelp
Best lamb dosa ever. It was the only place open after 10:00pm and decided to go there. They surprised us with authentic food.

Yelp
The food is very tasty. I wish they would invest a bit in creating a better ambiance. It feels like a canteen from the 1980s.

Yelp
Excellent crispy dosas! Saw some of the team from Aaha, which is another excellent Indian place up the street. The chutneys are very authentic with a variety of flavors and spice levels. The sambar can be drank straight up ;) Service was polite and attentive. Ambiance has retained some of the charm of the (formerly) Michelin-starred AL's place.

Yelp
Tried out this new South Indian restaurant for lunch in its first week - it has a minimalist decor but the food is delicious. There are lots of dosas to choose from at Dosa corner. The medhu vada and rasam hit the spot for the SF "summer" weather. Parking was easy to find. We shall return for our idli and dosa fix.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Everything tasted on point - from the big to even every chutney. I will come back!
