The 20 Best Restaurants In Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"Despite the fact that this Philadelphia-born izakaya has a menu the length of a coronation roll, Double Knot doesn’t overcomplicate its food. Our favorite bites here are simple grilled things on skewers, and the sushi is good, too. Ordering a la carte for a group can feel daunting, but five to seven plates per person should result in a satisfying meal. You can also opt for the $68 tasting menu if—and this is very understandable—you simply want to avoid the task of ordering a long list of dishes." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

Double Knot Miami - Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"Despite the fact that this Philadelphia-born izakaya has a menu the length of a coronation roll, Double Knot doesn’t overcomplicate its food. Our favorite bites here are simple grilled things on skewers, and the sushi is good, too. Ordering a la carte for a group can feel daunting, but five to seven plates per person should result in a satisfying meal. You’ll forget that the sun is out if you come for happy hour (5-7pm) because the stained glass windows keep out the light (and make it feel like a room where Gatsby would drink gin rickeys if he were alive and real). You can also opt for the $68 tasting menu if—and this is very understandable—you simply want to avoid the task of ordering a long list of dishes. photo credit: Double Knot Food Rundown Edamame Dumpling An entire bowl of edamame, conveniently packed into four little dumplings. The flavor of edamame is there, but it’s the texture that makes this dish. The inside of each dumpling has the silkiness of potato purée. photo credit: Neal Santos Japanese Scallop We’d come back just for these simple bites of scallop grilled to perfection. photo credit: Mariana Trabanino Spicy Baked Scallop & Crab Anything with scallops here is a safe bet. This crab mixture, which is spicy the same way buffalo wings are spicy, is another delicious example. Cheesesteak Bao Just because this restaurant is from Philadelphia doesn’t mean you have to order the most Philadelphia-sounding thing on the menu. The side of marinara is too sweet and the cheesesteak filling gets lost in the bao. photo credit: Mariana Trabanino Duck Leg Two meaty legs with a hint of sweetness from the glaze they brush on top. No notes. PlayMute video credit: Julia Malave Japanese Fried Chicken These crispy nuggets are an easy plate to share with a group. Give it a little lemon squeeze and go crazy with whatever sauces are on your table for some taste roulette. Berkshire Pork Tonkatsu It’s one of the few bigger entrees they have and also works for sharing with the table. It’s fine, but not as impressive as the robatayaki options. photo credit: Mariana Trabanino Soft Serve The miso caramel and chocolate swirl are fine until you find out it’s free—then it tastes even better. "Chef Michael Schulson brings his Philadelphia izakaya Double Knot to Wynwood. Located in the former Wynwood Kitchen & Bar space, the restaurant offers sushi, sashimi, and grilled items in a gorgeous midcentury space. The cheesesteak bao buns, served with a piquant red pepper relish, are a subtle nod to the restaurant’s Philly roots and are a must-order. Delicious! Sat at the bar, did the tasting menu. LOVED IT. I love that we were able to pick and try so many different dishes. Each was so good and tasty! We had Mezcal Sour that was so deliciously made by our mixologist/bartender, Stefano who actually was having a birthday as well, he did a great job checking in on us and giving us recommendations and making the best drinks. Will definitely return! This was the perfect place to come with an out of towner. Made me look good 😊

Google
Last night was my 3rd visit. I went here the first time and I loved it so much that I've suggested it everytime friends asked where we should eat. They have a chef's menu where u get 1 item per category. All 3 of my visits I was never disappointed. Highlights are the wagyu sushi, the pork belly and the beef skewers. The dumplings were amazing. My favorite is the sea bass. Melted in my mouth and the flavor was great. I paid a little over $80 for my part and that is an amazing price for everything that I ate. Let me not forget to mention that the service was impeccable. Sonny, knew his stuff and his food suggestions were spot on. This is a place that u will definitely come back to.

Google
This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I were celebrating his birthday, and the staff made our night incredibly special. The manager welcomed us with champagne, and our server recommended the chef’s tasting menu — which was absolutely amazing. The food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was incredible. I’m already recommending this place to my colleagues and can’t wait to return.

Google
Delicious meal last night. Mayra was super helpful. We did the chefs tasting and chose our own 10 courses. Everything was delicious and we had leftovers. Def can’t wait to come back!

Google
We decided to do the Miami Spice - Chef’s Selection and it was absolutely incredible. Our server Paul and the rest of the staff were so kind, attentive, super understanding and accommodating of our table’s dietary restrictions. Every single dish was so tasty and he even brought us an extra to try (only one of us was allergic to shellfish). Will absolutely be coming back!!! And recommend asking for Paul for the best special service :)

Google
Great find for those who want to try a lot of different things. We did chef's choice 10 course menu and it was amazing! First I eat abnormal amounts of food and even I got full, we had to take some to go, so be prepared for a nice treat. Second, actually every course was great in its own way, we had our favorites such as tuna tartar, duck legs, wagu dumplings, but everything was really good. Third, you get all of that for a very reasonable price, which is like a breath of fresh air in Miami. It gets very busy (no wonder) so make a reservation. The bar is nice with dim lighting, they have a small sushi bar and plenty of tables in two main dining areas and the bar area too.

Google
I visited Double Knot in Wynwood back in September to try their Miami Spice menu. Overall, the dishes were good. They were well-prepared and nicely presented, but nothing really stood out or left a lasting impression. Everything felt fair, but there just wasn’t that wow factor or standout dish that would make me want to rush back. The cocktail offerings also leaned a bit on the derivative side, lacking the creativity you might expect from a spot in Wynwood’s vibrant dining scene. While it wasn’t a bad experience by any means, it also wasn’t particularly memorable.

Google
My new favorite restaurant in Miami. The ambience is classy; the food is ambitious, unique, and exciting; and the service is fantastic. It's really difficult to find a great restaurant in Miami but dk really is a hidden gem. My favorite dishes were the lamb cooked on the robatayaki grill (as well as ribeye skewers with scallion); the charcoal grill flavor is fantastic. Moreover, the dk roll and tuna tartare were delicious - the fish quality is among the best in the city and flavors were well balanced. Most of all, I left craving these dishes again the next day - which is clearly the best way to tell how amazing this place is.

Yelp
Double Knot Miami brings a dynamic izakaya style dining experience to the heart of Wynwood. Double knot is an extension of the original double knot in Philadelpia. It has so many unique menu options including sushi, sashimi, robatayaki, inventive small plates and even a chefs tasting menu. We visited during Miami Spice, which offered a prix fixe menu at $60 per person. While the structure initially seemed like each guest could choose one item from each category, it turned out to be family-style, with one selection per category shared across the table. Though slightly misleading, the portions were generous and surprisingly satisfying. Here's what we tried: Cold Plate: Tuna Tartare : my favorite dish of the night. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Small Plate: Wagyu Soup Dumpling : Rich and savory, this was a close second favorite. Robatayaki: Scallops: Delicious with a spicy kick. A great choice if you enjoy heat. Crispy: Fried Chicken : This was the only dish that didn't quite hit the mark. It was okay, but lacked the wow factor. Meat/Fish: Beef Tenderloin : Absolutely melt in your mouth perfection. A must-try. Side: Mushroom Fried Rice : flavorful, and a great complement to the other dishes. To drink, I had the Uni cocktail, which was refreshing, unique, and absolutely delicious. It paired beautifully with the meal. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, dessert arrived: Miso Caramel Soft Serve. This was a not too sweet, salty, and unlike anything I've tasted before.

Yelp
This spot blends izakaya vibes with elevated sushi and robatayaki offerings, and I think it mostly lives up to that promise. The interior is a mish-mosh of art deco, modern ranch and not sure what else. Pick a lane and own it. Also would have been nice to do some sort of nod to Japanese of Kanso or Shizen. This was a bit gaudy and Im sure when you turn on full ights or see it in natural light it would feel cheap. Also get better containers (not cheap plastic) for soy and other condiments. What I loved: The menu is creative. We tried a mix of sashimi, grilled skewers, and a few robata items. Everything was beautifully plated, and the flavors were generally on point. ChiChi, our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. She checked in enough to make sure we were happy. Only thing which was wierd is that the Shihito peppers came way late and last of all dishes, would hve liked it with other apps or side dishes. Dessert was a highlight: the house‑made miso caramel ice cream is a clever, lighter finish that keeps with the restaurant's Japanese‐fusion tone. What could be better / things to note: It's not inexpensive. Some dishes feel steep for the portion size, so I'd recommend going with a small group so you can sample more without committing to just one entrée. A couple of items were slightly underseasoned (or perhaps more mild than expected) -- I wish they offered more bold / spicy options or customization (extra sauce, etc.). We sat nearing the bar area, rec is to make a separate space, whether build a wall or have a screen that differentiates bar with bar seating. The drink offerings (cocktails, sake etc.) were decent, though I thought they had room to expand the selection further -- especially for pairing with grilled / smoky items. Overall impression: Double Knot Miami is a strong addition to Wynwood's dining scene. It doesn't quite hit perfection, but it delivers on style, creativity, and flavor. I'd go back, especially when in the mood for Japanese / izakaya cuisine with a twist.

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Wow! Is all I can say! What a great restaurant. You walk in and go behind a small Curtain and are taken back by this restaurant with beautiful decor and low lights. We sat in the lounge and attended by ChiChi. We loved her! She recommended to do some Happy Hour items (sushi rolls) and then Miami Spice. She gave excellent service and even gave us 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The happy hour menu is available every single day from 5-7 and it is very affordable, along with very good portions. Miami Spice is $60 for 6 items and dessert for each. You must note that it is family style and you pick 1 item from each section for the whole table. At first you're like hmmm that's not enough food but trust me, IT IS ALOT OF DELICIOUS FOOD. The portions are perfect and filling. We can't wait to go back! Must Order: Hamachi Ceviche Shrimp Tempura Roll Kobe Beef Robatayaki Duck Bao Maitake Mushroom Robatayaki Shrimp Tacos Mushroom Fried Rice Grilled Heritage Chicken Salted Caramel Soft Serve Mango Mochi

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely delicious, we went to do Miami spice. We had so many stuff to choose from. We got octopus, eggplant, mushroom gyoza and shrimp tacos as well"appetizers" basically. We had black cod rice and branzino which also was soooo yummy! The service was fantastic, our waitress was so sweet and explained the menu to us. I wish I could remember her name. The place is gorgeous inside, really sets the tone. I would definitely come back here. Wow wow wow!

Yelp
I kept seeing Double Knot all over TikTok and finally decided to see what the hype was about, and now I totally get it. We grabbed seats at the bar, which turned out to be such a fun experience. The vibe was fun, and the bartender was very attentive, offering great drink recommendations and making the whole night even better. We tried a variety of rolls and hot appetizers, and honestly, every single dish was a hit. They also have a special menu where you can pick 10 items for $68, which is an insane deal considering the quality. We weren't quite hungry enough for it this time, but I'll definitely be going back just to try that because everything we had made me want to taste the entire menu. Whether you're going for the food, drinks, or overall vibe, Double Knot delivers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
In the heart of wynnwood, parking is a little tight and the streets are quite colorful with the art and people. Not so much a looker from the outside, but wow did they take their time to design a beautiful interior. Moody lighting, just right. Nice vibe in there. I'd describe this as a Japanese tapas style restaurant. It's advised to order a few dishes to share. The plates are pretty small. The Miami spice was amazing. Great selection, however everyone on the table has to agree on the courses. That was a little restrictive if you have two people with different palettes or allergies etc. however since the selection is good, it's manageable. Service was friendly. The star of the night was the food. Incredible flavors and cooking temperatures. Everything other than the mochi was very good. Mochi seemed like a regular freezer isle one. Nothing special. The shrimp yakitori was so good we ordered it again. Tuna tacos flavorful as the starter. I was getting a little worried the bites might be too small to fill me up, but the last to the table: black cod friend rice, significantly helped. I still ordered an extra sushi roll which only had six pieces and a nigiri. Food is flavorful, but the portions may keep you hungry. It's pricey, but quality. Great ambiance. I recommend and will return.

Yelp
Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Paul was our waiter and his attention and recommendations were amazing. Food was absolutely delicious, the ambiance is spectacular. Feels like you're in another city. Can't wait to go back, this might be my new favorite restaurant in the city.

Yelp
Wow, this restaurant was absolutely beautiful and food was great. I loved that the dim lighting created a more intimate experience. Started off the night with a glass of Cabernet and then ordered off the Miami Spice menu which was a set price of $60 per person but included 4 appetizers and a main course with a dessert. Although the fee was per person the items were one for the table to share and it worked out because we weren't really big eaters. So if you are starving and like big portions then maybe this isn't the place for you. We ordered the cold Octopus which was the first time I tried and it was perfect the texture was very thin and had great flavor. Another item that I also tried for the first time was the Eggplant. It really didn't look like Eggplant at all, its texture felt like I was biting into a piece of meat but it tasted pretty good the glaze and the scallions gave it great flavor. We also had Shrimp Tacos, Waygu Soup Dumplings, and the star of the show the Braziano Filet with Rice. The filet was very soft and was a good size which had to be separated into two plates. Ended the night with the Mochi dessert which I personally wasn't a fan of but others in my party loved. Overall loved this restaurant and would return for another girls night or date night.

Yelp
Double Knot is one of my favorite new restaurants in Miami right now. The restaurant is beautifully done, with tables, a sushi bar and a large cocktail bar that was full by the end of our dinner on Saturday night. The service was exceptional. All of the staff were professional, kind and very knowledgable about the menu. The executive chef even came out to us to explain the tasting menu and concept. All of the food was delicious and so flavorful. There was not one dish we didn't enjoy. The price of the tasting menu is so affordable and you get more than enough food. The best bites of the night were the wagyu soup dumplings and the sea bass, which absolutely melted in your mouth. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends and I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant-- sleek and sexy. Big, backlit bar. Perfect date spot but came here with some of my girlfriends. A little disappointed that if you do Miami spice, everyone at the table has to choose the same dishes. So we decided to just order our own things. Have to subtract a point for our waiter, she wasn't friendly, looked a bit withdrawn and lost, didn't have a great personality, maybe she was having a bad day. The food was really good though! I like how things come out speedy quick and as its ready. You can order as you go, and order as much as you want. We started with the tuna cracker, which is basically like tuna crispy rice. Very good. My favorite was the cheesesteak bao! The restaurant originated in Philly, so they know cheesesteak! The cherry pepper relish paired so nice with it-- it was basically a fancy ketchup! get this! The pork gyoza is okay but you need to get the wagyu dumplings they were some of the best ive ever had. Pretty much all of the robatayaki were good! they are small skewers that you purchase a la carte. The eggplant you can skip. The kobe beef and the ribeye were moist and tasty. YOU MUST GET THE SCALLOPS with the lemon wedge -- so juicy and flavorful. THe mushroom fried rice was okay but i could skip it. MY friend had the fried chicken for the main and liked it. We had a spicy scallop roll which was good but i could skip it. For dessert, we had the miso caramel soft serve which was so good but they need to freeze the bowls prior because ours was half melted. I definitely would come back for the skewers, bao, and wagyu dumplings! and def the SCALLOPS

Yelp
Michael Schulson, if you see this... you are the man. I have to do zero research on your restaurants and I appreciate that dearly! You culinary wizard you! You're the edamame dumpling delivering angel. Every single thing you touch turns to delicious gold. Double Knot in both Philly and now Miami are absolute foodie musts! Vibes, food and service! Hands down some of the best. I crave for the dimly lit, sexy little cave of flavor I always find at your restaurants.

Yelp
Had a reservation, but it was quiet and easy to get seated around 5-5:30pm on Saturday night for us. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the seating was comfortable. Everything we ordered, except the quail, was amazing. The quail was a little gamey and charred tasting. The big eye tuna roll, Japanese fried chicken, and duck scrapple bao stood out for me as being especially good. Don't skip the vegetables when ordering your robatayaki - the asparagus and mushrooms were awesome. I would definitely visit again to try some of the other items.

Yelp
Chefs tasting is a good deal considering how many items from the menu you get to try. It's very much Asian fusion and the service was great. I honestly wasn't as big of a fan of the more "sushi" type items. The coursing of items could be improved but overall somewhere good to check out if you want to be able to try lots of dishes. Not my favorite Asian fusion spot but would like to come back and try some more dishes. I think sticking to the robatayaki is best.

Yelp
Wow this experience was amazing. My girlfriend and I went here for my birthday and we were amazed at the tastiness of the food. Each course was perfect, the edamame dumplings and scallops were our favorites. The server we had was sooo nice and inside the decor also set a good mood. Will be back!

Yelp
WOW!!! This is def going on my list of recommendations for when people come to visit Miami. Everything about my experience at Double Knot was amazing- from the service to the food to the ambiance. We went for Miami Spice which was an amazing value. We got to pick one cold item, one small, one robatayaki, one crispy, one side, one meat or fish, and mochi for dessert. We were only able to pick one of each for the table, not per person, but they brought over enough for both of us. Here is what we got: - Scallop Robatayaki: YUMMM!!! This was my favorite bite of the meal and honestly the best scallop I've ever had! We each got three on the skewer. - Edamame Dumpling: AMAZING. Such a unique flavor and served in a miso broth. This was a close second for me and was my bf's favorite bite! I felt it could be a little bit warmer but it was still delicious. They also told us that they actually get these shipped over from their Philly location so the integrity is maintained from the original location. We each got two dumplings with the Miami Spice menu. - Shrimp Taco: This was probably the least impressive bite, but still was good. I was expecting a crispy shell but these seemed like hand made soft shells, which were really yummy but felt more like something I would want to eat with an Indian dish. - Tuna Rice Cracker: I usually don't love crispy rice but this one of the best ones I had! It was the perfect amount of crispy. We each got one piece. - Branzino: Super delicious! It came deboned which is great because I get overwhelmed when a full branzino is served. It had a lovely crispy skin and super flavorful. It also was served with a side of that same broth from the Edamame Dumplings (yum!). The portion size was perfect for the both of us. - Mushroom Fried Rice: Really yummy, the flavor was more umami than truffle. - Mochi: We tried the Macha and the Mango and the Macha was def our favorite! - Soft serve: Omg yum, this was delicious! They brought it out as a birthday treat with a sparkler and we loved it. The service was AMAZING. Our server was so kind and gave a lot of good tidbits. She wasn't overbearing and was super helpful. Also, I believe the bartender was running our drinks and he was also very kind and informative! For drinks we had: - The Alpine Knot: My boyfriend lovedddd. He loves yuzu. It was very citrusy. - The Splice Knot: Was AMAZING. This is their version of a gimlet and they infuse their own shishito vodka. The interior is gorgeous with a nice, curated vibe. There is plenty of seating and it is not too squished together. The bar is also super pretty. It was a bit hidden from the outside because the sign was soooo tiny and hard to see from the other side of the street. Double Knot was amazing and I think it is going to get very popular very quickly so I recommend getting a reservation while you still can! Especially if you can get the Miami Spice menu! :)

Yelp
The happy hour was great! The ambiance is amazing, beautiful bar, comfortable lounge area, impeccable service from the moment you walk in to the prompt and attentive service inside. We tried a few items: rolls, rib eye, cauliflower - everything was great but so so tiny. I would love to come back for proper dinner. I have a feeling it's going to be a good one.

Yelp
We had an amazing group dinner for Miami Spice. The ambience is warm and upscale and looks entirely twice the size from the inside as it does from the outside. Our servers were amazing and described our dishes really well. The sushi apps were fresh, simple yet creatively paired, and delivered quickly. Our favorites were the tuna tartare, the juicy wagyu soup dumpling, and broiled seabass which had the most buttery, caramelized rounded feeling in your mouth with every bite! Would def return for more!

Yelp
When deciding on a dinner spot for Saturday night, I recalled all the videos I saw highlighting good miami spice spots, and how most, if not all of them, included Double Knot. So, Double Knot it was. And what a great choice that ended up being. We were sat right away by the friendly host stand after providing our name. And the friendliness continued for the rest of the night with our waiter, Paul, who was super kind and attentive. He told us all about the Miami spice menu and we got to ordering. We got the scallops, beef tenderloin, Japanese fried chicken, duck scrapple bao bun, yellowtail carpaccio, black cod fried rice, and miso caramel soft serve with mochi. If you think that sounds like a lot of food, it was. It was an awesome miami spice menu and the food was amazing. The scallop was perfect and had a beautiful light char. The yellowtail carpaccio tasted fresh and sat in a delicious vinaigrette. The duck scrapple bao was also awesome; the bao bun itself was so soft and the duck had a nice texture to it. On top of the fantastic food, the vibe of the restaurant was nice too, relaxing yet classy. Everything was a home run. We will definitely visit Double Knot again.

Yelp
I'm writing this review from the table right now. My friends and I arrived around 9:00 PM and didn't get seated until 9:30. We ordered from the Miami Spice menu, which we were told allowed us to choose one item from each section -- starting with cold dishes, then meat, then fish, and so on. The server made it seem like each of us would get our own portion from each selection. To our surprise, we were given one tiny portion to share between the three of us -- barely enough to feed a child. On top of that, it took roughly 25 minutes between each course to receive these miniature plates. The portions were absolutely nothing like the menu implied. As for the food itself? Mediocre at best. The octopus tasted like it had just been defrosted, the Kobe beef was nearly raw, and the fried chicken was worse than KFC. Ambience-wise, the entrance sets a good first impression -- dim lighting, classy vibes, and nice music. The bar is beautiful, and the drinks are well-priced. Unfortunately, we were seated in a back section that felt like an afterthought, more like a dressed-up fast food joint than part of the main restaurant. Overall, I wouldn't waste your time here. If you're actually hungry and want a proper meal, go somewhere else. This place is not worth the money.

Yelp
Double Knot surprised me so much. I randomly kept seeing it on my socials and figured...let's try it out! It's a hidden gem in Wynwood with gorgeous decor, classy atmosphere and excellent food. The price point is what got us extremely reeled in. We chose the blind chef's testing menu and our server, Bruno did incredible!! For the amount of food you get, the price is more than worth it. Everything was super fresh, packed with flavor, and plated beautifully. My favorites were the cod fried rice, wagyu soup dumplings, and the kobe beef! Definitely recommend, top 3 dining experience in Miami for sure.

Yelp
I visited Double Knot a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday night for dinner. The space and decor felt as though we'd stepped out of Miami through an invisible portal. The interior and dim lighting create a cozy and romantic vibe. The service was quite good and attentive for Miami, except our server made it seem like some of the dishes were much smaller than they actually were, leading us to order more food than was likely necessary. Double Knot is participating in Miami Spice, but we wanted to try several dishes and the way the Miami Spice menu is set up, it just meant more of the same food vs. a wider variety of dishes. Instead, we ordered the following from the a la carte menu: tuna tartare, hamachi, spicy tuna roll, the pork gyoza, the edamame dumplings, the beef tenderloin (which is the size of an entree vs. the tapa-style size the server made it seem like it was), the salmon (also entree-sized), and the black cod fried rice. Overall, I'd say the food was quite good, but the black cod fried rice and the edamame dumplings definitely stood out to me.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Best meal I have had in a long time, and the place is beautiful. For starters, the service was great. The chef made an exception and said since 3/5 of us were doing the tasting, he would allow it, when usually it has to be the whole table. Never hurts to ask! They served me a perfectly chilled dirty martini with just the right amount of olive juice. But the best part of this whole place is the tasting menu. If you order 5 or 6 items you will spend more than the $68 the tasting menu costs, and the tasting menu gets you 10 courses plus dessert. Here's what we had- - a tuna sushi roll - delicious - hamachi crudo - melts in your mouth - octopus carpaccio - good, not great - steak skewer - great - salmon skewer - no big deal - wagyu soup dumplings - some of the best soup dumplings I've ever had, WOW - scallop entree - delicious, huge pieces - filet mignon entree - perfectly cooked and tender - mushroom fried rice - oh my god i could not stop eating this! So flavorful - fried chicken - huge portion, juicy, yum - ice cream - salted miso caramel & coconut chocolate, incredible. Go for the swirl! I will come back here again and again. 10/10, no notes.

Yelp
$68 for 11 courses?! SIGN ME UP! Amazing atmosphere and even better food. The lamb robatayaki, big eye tuna roll, and sea bass were my favorites!

Yelp
Had an awesome dinner at Double Knot. The space has a really cool New York vibe--cozy, warm, and full of little design details that make it feel special. We went with the Chef's Tasting and honestly, everything was solid. A few highlights: - Eye Tuna Roll - Crispy Tuna - Kobe Beef - Chicken Karage - Wild Mushroom Gyoza - Truffle Mushroom Fried Rice (so much truffle, couldn't get enough) - Short Rib Robatayaki Dessert was a perfect finish--miso caramel soft serve and mango mochi ice cream. We also had some Prosecco and Champagne at the table and a smooth anejo tequila on the side. But the real highlight of the night was our server, Paul. He was super kind, patient, and just had great energy. You could tell he genuinely cared and wanted us to have a good time. That made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend for a fun night out with great food and great vibes. Will be back!

Yelp
I was so looking forward to trying out this restaurant, but was slightly disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by the friendly host and helped to our table. I absolutely loved the main indoor room. It was the typical Miami vibe with cool comfy booths, aesthetic bar/lounge area, and sushi bar. Unfortunately we got sat in the back room, which was less aesthetic, but not a big deal, and I'm not complaining about that. As for service, it took a little while to be greeted by our server, which was okay as the place was pretty packed. He asked us if we'd ever been to any double knot location before and we said no and he gave us a short 5 second explanation basically saying it was like tapas and the food comes out as it's ready. We immediately ordered drinks and then he went away. We took the time before he returned to look over the menu and decide which items we would pick for the chefs tasting menu. Now here is where things get displeasing. This server never at one point informed us that you are only allowed to order one tasting menu per table, despite it saying per person on the menu, so we had picked 2 of everything thinking we would each order our own 10 items. Upon him coming to take our order (we still had not received our drinks) he informed us that we could only order one. We told him we would need more time to decide and to come back. Upon him coming back again, we tried to order the A5 beef and he informed us it's not part of the tasting menu, which was never mentioned before or notated on the menu. Not a big deal we just picked our backup choice but i was getting slightly frustrated how this man has failed to inform us of anything regarding how this restaurant operates. We still had not gotten our drinks at this point and it had been more than 30 minutes. I reminded him and he made some excuse about the bar being backed up and left to put our food order in. Coincidentally, we got our drinks 5 minutes later (he definitely forgot to ring our drinks in). After that, the food started coming out pretty quickly. I now understood why they only let you order 1 per table because the portion sizes were huge! When you think of a tasting menu you think of a legit taste of the food, but these were full blown portion sizes. We struggled to finish all the food, and even the table next to us agreed that they couldn't finish everything either. Some of the food was good, like the fried chicken and the robatayaki, but everything else was pretty sub par. The sushi was some of the worst I've ever had in Miami. The fatty tuna nigiri was such bad quality. I was pretty disappointed in the food, it was nothing special. The drinks also weren't anything to rave about. I will say they brought us 2 food items for free without us saying anything/asking which was nice, but we were so full we only accepted 1 and had to send the other one away. I feel like this place is very misleading. It says $68 per person for the tasting menu but only 1 is allowed per table, so what if there is a table of 6? Do they get bigger portion sizes? Do they get to order more than 1? There's no information on how they run and it gives scammy vibes. Overall, I probably won't return here. I feel there's much better sushi restaurants in Miami.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience at this restaurant. I went a day after it opened and it was pretty empty. The waitress was terrible -- slow, incorrect orders. The Edamame Dumplings and Spicy Tuna Roll were both great. The happy hour menu is great. I waited an hour for the Spicy Baked Scallop & Crab, which was half freezing cold. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was inedible, but the restaurant did not do anything about it. For the prices, I expected a much better experience like I witnessed in Philly.

Yelp
YUMMY!!! Great new spot in Wynwood- elevated, affordable, tasty, attentive This place is G R E AT- at only 3 weeks old the service was impeccable and well trained. Dishes were perfectly prepared and left me wanting more with the small shareable portions. As a swim week model o appreciate the variety and quality of healthy food here- nothing is smothered in sauce and everything feels so healthy and good on the tummy. Drinks were DELICIOUS!! And the pricing of everything was super reasonable. I will definitely be back soon to try the chefs 10 course special for $68. Ambiance is super great and is nice for a date or friends dinner.

Yelp
We were very excited to check out double knot for Miami spice since it just opened and we could wait to try it out. The building itself was gorgeous and the ambiance was very serene and modern. The only complaint we had was the portion sizes for Miami Spice and the fact the entire table was to order the same things and was brought out family style. We felt the portions would have been great for 2 guests but since it was 3 of us we ended up needing to order a few more things from the menu al a carte. We did bring this up to the staff and honestly the way they handled it was incredibly professional. They brought us out a few complimentary dishes, took their time to speak with us and made sure our experience was exceptional. That and the food was amazing. Little things like that go such a long way and we ended up having such a good experience. For this we give 5 stars, and can't wait to come back and try even more!

Yelp
We were pulled in on a night not expecting to eat out. However, we walked in to a beautiful space, with low lights that created a very nice vibe. Our waiter was extremely attentive, and we were asked multiple times very kindly how our food was, and if we were enjoying our night. The meat was extremely tender and well cooked, the fried chicken was crispy and light, the scallops were melty, and the bao buns were crunchy outside, with a nice bite and very flavorful. The food was all delicious, and the experience was wonderful. Would absolutely recommend. For two, also relatively cheap!

Yelp
OH MY GOSH! One of the best cuisines I've tried to date! I went during happy hour, which is from 5 PM to 7 PM and tried a variety of happy hour food items and they were all delicious. Inside it's a very dark atmosphere, but it is a vibe. The food came out very fast and everything tasted extremely good. I would definitely recommend trying their happy hour menus because you get to try a lot of their menu items for a cheaper price. The only thing I will say is that the ribs were extremely small. They were very flavorful, but very small.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! I've been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and it's now one of my top 3 in Miami. Happy Hour is a DEAL! And the food and drinks are still superb quality and size. We also made sure to try the Miami Spice menu and I must say, we've tried a lot of Spice menus and this one is the best for quantity and quality of the food. Our server Zoey was the best! He was wonderful and deserves a raise! He was so kind, attentive, and helpful.

Yelp
Ambiance and food is top notch.... When I say everything taste soooooooooooo goodt. There is no way to describe it every bite is worth a little happy dance. But what top it off was my server camila she gave all the best recommendation, she was patient, she checked in constantly and made the experience worth. I told her I would definitely come back. This is Michelin star experience. Chef kiss

Yelp
The food here was amazing but the service? Even better. Our server Sonny gave us all the best recommendations, checked on us often, and overall just excellent service. I will most definitely be back. I cannot speak more highly of the service, the GM. Jovan was also excellent. We got different items from each different menu and I don't think I had a bad dish

Yelp
We recently took advantage of the Miami Spice menu here and really enjoyed it. They probably had the best value for not just the quantity and quality of food but for the variety as well. We did a hamachi crudo, ceviche tacos, fried tofu, black cod fried rice, tonkatsu, added some hamachi nigiri, and finished with a mochi variety. We Loved the ambiance, the food was delicious, and we really had a great time with our attentive and super friendly waiter, Darryl. I'd give 5 stars but was quite disappointed with the tonkatsu. Having just visited Japan, and missing it, we had to try it here and it fell a little short. It was a little overcooked, not very tender and juicy so that was disappointing. Either way, I would come back and try more of the sushi.

Yelp
great service, amazing ambience, pretty good food. the edamame dumplings blew me away -- so unique and flavorful. the sushi was great, and the pork buns were nice. what really let me down was the chicken karaage and the kimchi fried rice. the chicken karaage was extremely dry, cold, and VERY tough, like it had been sitting out for hours. i'm not sure if the quality is lower during happy hour, but there should be a much higher standard for a restaurant like double knot. it was hard to eat. the kimchi fried rice was ok. the rice is plentiful, but there were like....5 small pieces of kimchi in the whole bowl of KIMCHI fried rice. very stingy with what is supposed to be the star of the dish. it would have been much more flavorful with more kimchi. however, the drinks are great, and I still have a good time when I come here, which is what bumps it up from 3.5 stars to a 4.

Yelp
Great experience, For wearing linen The a/c was blowing a bit too much but they did take immediate notice and corrected it. So many dishes that we had throughout the evening were so memorable. The soup dumplings were so good that we ordered a second round. Absolutely loved the Foie Gras nigiri. We really enjoyed the flavors of the octopus carpaccio along with the Grilled skewer options we chose. The Kobe was delicious but the home run was the Ribeye with Scallion. Definitely make sure to finish with the miso Carmel and chocolate swirl. What a great combination to finish the dining experience. Mayra our waitress was super informative and really lead us in the right direction the entire evening. Her hospitality alone will have us return.

Yelp
We went on our 1st time in April. Wow was it great. The food was awesome. We had the tasting menu but we chose our food. Tuna tartare, crab and scallop bake, Negitoro maki, chutoro nigiri, fried chicken, branzino and ribeye robatayaki, filet, seafood noodle soup, noodle with shrimp, mushroom fried rice... everything hit the spot. Except the sake service was so slow and they can't find the sake we ordered so they were going to replace it with something more expensive that they didn't tell us. Overall we were raving about this place. Fast forward to today. We spent 4 hours dining. We did the blind tasting which the chef chooses what we will have. However it felt that we got the least expensive items in the menu. The hearts of palm salad had no flavor, the robatayaki tasted bitter and burnt, the fried tofu was offensive, the flavors were confusing. The crab and scallop bake was so spicy, hamachi crudo was bland so is the chicken robatayaki. The only good ones was the seafood noodle and shrimp noodle. Again, we ordered wine and cocktail that never arrived. The servers and kitchen was overwhelmed that the service was so slow. 4 hours with 2 kids... not fun. 2 and done we're out!!!

Yelp
I love yakitori. This place serves it just right. An abundance of options, all of which are delicious. I tried the chicken thighs, the bacon wrapped enoki, the wagyu, the short rib, the ribeye, the pork jowels (holy shiz), the asparagus, the shishito, the duck leg and the lamb chop. ALL WERE EXCELLENT. Not a single disappointment. Hand rolls were also pretty good. Big eye tuna roll was good, nothing to write home about but good. The wagyu dumplings are also pretty tasty and the star of the show, for me, were the cheesesteak boa buns with the spicy tomato chutney, holy smokes, the bomb. Drinks were ok, i got the dragon tequila drink, too sweet for me and their version of the espresso martini was pretty good too. Dessert also delicious, the soft serve and the mochis were oh so tasty. Service was good, they cleared often, were present when needed and very friendly. The restaurant is lovely, a hair too dim for me, my eyes had a hard time adjusting but overall wonderful experience

Yelp
I heard the service here was terrible, and they proved it. From the moment we arrived, we were ignored or waived off, first by the host, then by our waiter. After being seated, we waited nearly 40 minutes before our waiter returned to take our order. He had said he'd be right back, then proceeded to serve every other table around us, including guests who arrived after we did. No check-in, no apology, no acknowledgment. The neglect was intentional. We eventually got up and left without ordering. Completely unacceptable. Never going back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Ever.

Yelp
this place absolutely deserves the recognition. Even though they've only been open for four weeks, they are already operating like they have the experience of a 20 year restaurant. The food? Top tier. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the freshness of the fish was next level, some of the best I've had in a long time. What really stood out, though, was the service. John went above and beyond to make our experience feel special, and his attention to detail did not go unnoticed. To top it off, the general manager, Handrix, personally came over to thank us for coming in. It's rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality these days. This restaurant has quickly earned a spot on my favorites list. If you're thinking of going, go. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Went twice and both times we had such a great experience. The restaurants has nice vibes. Must try the soft serve. Love that both times the quality and taste of the food was consistent. Thank you to Sonny and Camila for excellent hospitality.

Yelp
Okay only writing the review cause they are new and DESERVE the hype. I enjoyed the staff and ambience! Food was good. But who ever told the chef to tone down the spice on kimchi.... I beg to differ. Hey chef, make it how you originally had it. If they can't handle it oh well. This is Miami, we are spicy! Flavors were yummy but would love the burn of the kimchi. I didn't taste any. I love a handroll and now love yours. If you love us Miami whiskey drinkers, gives a Knot old fashion at happy hour. We will love you more

Yelp
We celebrated my daughter's bday here and the sushi was so flavorful, as were their unique dishes. The service was perfection

Yelp
I took my daughter who is a sushi lover to this location. Kim did a great job to make my daughter feel special. she was knowledgable and kind. we will definitely return again. The General Manager Jovan stopped by to make sure we are enjoying our experience. He was professional, courteous, yet friendly. Thank you for making our day special. I will highly recommend.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. Tasting menu is the best way to experience wide variety of dishes. If you don't know what to order, just trust the staff recommendation! We had the pleasure of meeting the executive chef - Russ and sous chef - Edmond and not to mention our wonderful server - Sunny! Will definitely come back and bring friends!

Phenomenal experience. The tasting menu felt made just for me - I love trying everything
