Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The folks behind Agua Verde, Honeyhole, and Cantina Del Sol are at it again—this time with a new burger window on the first floor of the new Mexican rooftop. Double O’ Burgers serves Oklahoma-style smashburgers on steamed Hawaiian buns, along with sides like loaded crinkle fries and curly onions." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

Update: Went again a couple weeks later to give them benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, everything was the same except they dumped a tbsp of pepper on the burger. Honestly was slightly better since it had more flavor at least… I was very excited about this place but unfortunately it was a big let down. The reasonable price was really the only thing going for it. The patties had no crispy edges and very little seasoning. On top of that, the “caramelized” onions were grilled at best. Just overall lacked flavor.

Very good new smash burger place in Cap Hill! Very delicious burgers, the onions on the burger were incredible, so rich, savory, and fresh. Quickest service I’ve had in a long time and food was hot and delicious. Definitely recommend, their garlic aioli is fire too 🔥🔥🔥🔥the fries were crispy and yummy

Quickly becoming my go to burger place on capitol hill! Burgers, fries, and onion strips are all delicious and very reasonably priced. This is a window, but they have some seating outside you can eat at.

Went to double O today for lunch, got their bacon burger , a crispy edged smash burger with bacon jam caramelized onions, and crispy onions. Easily best burger in seattle now. Ugly and delicious, its not a fancy burger focused on presentation, its a rich, juicy, savory, Epic tasting masterpiece of a burger. 100% recommend. The place is mostly a take out window but they do have a couple of outdoor street side tables you can eat that were clean and comfy.

Google
I reviewed this place right when they first opened which admittedly might have been unfair. I deleted it and waited a few weeks to return. I thought the burgers were not good then and I think they still aren't good now. The patties are only seared on one side, the onions are under done and watery and I don't like the buns. You order off a screen and pick up your food when it's ready. there is no service so to speak. If you just want a cheap burger, there is an alternative in the neighborhood.

Pretty good little stand. The buns are Hawaiian bread and rather sweet, but I liked them. The plain burgers with minimal things are pretty good, they can go overboard with some of the toppings like onions. Fries are also good, cooked well and have a nice texture. It's very well priced and more affordable than other places which is great.

I got the Double O Burger, the spicy burger and fries and the total cost was around $20. Both the burgers had a ton of onions on them. I love grilled onions but in my opinion it was a little overkill. They put the onion under the patty, and the patties are thin so the onion is a bit overpowering. The spicy burger was similar. It had some type of spicy sauce on the bottom bun, but it didn't seem like enough sauce. I ate half of the burger upside down, and it was much better. So I think if they put the grilled onions on top of the patty it would fix my issue with the onion, so then you get some of the beef flavor coming through. The fries were cooked well but seemed under salted. I don't mind them being undersalted. I did not try any of the sauces that they offer, but my girlfriend has tried the goop. It is some type of tartar sauce. She said to me that it ruined the burger in her opinion. All the sauces cost extra but they seem to be proud of their sauces. Maybe charge a little extra for the fries and include a sauce? You order at a window, at a touch screen machine. It was a little awkward doing that with a worker just staring at you while you order. Overall I think this place is fine. It has potential to really be good, especially at the price. I will probably come back after a bit of time passes to see if anything changes. I like the idea of a fairly fast burger place serving out of a window in cap hill. Nothing was a deal breaker here, but I do hope it improves a little bit to make me want to come here.

Google
Really good smashburgers in a convenient location and they're open late! The burgers are super reasonably priced (usually less than $10) and service is super quick. They also have gluten free and vegetarian options that are quite decent.

Yelp
Finally a place that has something new to offer in the region! I'm a big burger fan , having traveled all over trying different regional styles of burgers. Finally Seattle has its take on what I would call the"midwestern onion burger". I got the double O burger with the sauce on the side with, and an order of the onion rings . First off the onion rings are in a corn meal batter. The batter and seasoning along will make these a go to snack for anyone passing by the stand ( and they reheat nicely in the air fryer if you wanna save them)Now to the burger ! Two well executed smash patties grilled into some onions. The onions are caramalized adding a hint of sweetness pairing perfectly with the two smash patties also grilled and caramelized . The goop sauce is a tarter which really sets every thing off . Some might compare it to dicks tarter /burgers , but it's truly something else on its own. It's great and affordable and a sure contender for one of the top Seattle burger ! P.S. The staff was very nice. I also saw a staff member checking for allergy ingredients for a guest .

Yelp
I swear this place showed up out of nowhere! And I have already been 3 times.. It is good, if you like a messy, yummy, and quick burger, go check them out. A few things first.. they're no frills. All of these reviews I am seeing are mentioning a lack of flavor. Yes! You ordered a burger with just grilled onions on it and some American cheese. The key here is to add things to your burger. The base price is $6.50 I believe, which is the cheapest deal around! Add pickles add ranch, boom, still only $8 and 1 burger is more than enough food. These are huge for the price you pay. The guy at the window is very nice and patient. He recommended I try the Garlic Aioli and it blew my socks off. Very very garlicky and thick, which made me a huge fan. The ranch is good too, it has a lighter flavor but almost tastes sour cream based, its second best to the garlic aioli. Outdoor seating is a very casual bench vibe, I usually just take my meal home but it seems like many people sit and enjoy their meal outside. I will say, I have been here 3 times in 2 weeks and tonight they gave me fries that were cut completely different, and I didn't love them as much as the crinkle fries they served me the past 2 visits. @ the business owner of Double O' Burgers please keep the crinkle fries!! There is nowhere in Capitol Hill with crinkle fries that good. I was bummed tonight when I got home and opened my white paper bag to the "standard" cut French fries.. I will still be coming back. Hopefully there will be crinkle fries...

Yelp
Convenient location if you're craving a smash burger, but they're lacking flavor. It's a pick up window only location. They do have some tables and seats setup on the sidewalk if you want to eat on site.

Yelp
Nice and smiling staff, relatively fast service, however not one of the best smash burgers I have eaten in Seattle area as the bread my simple and dry, meat didn't taste very fresh and taste was very sweet onion heavy. If you are in a rush and need to get something in your stomach while taking a breather by the benches, it is an ok alternative.

Yelp
The staff are friendly and service is fast! The prices are the best in the city for smash burgers. It's a walk up with a screen you put your choices into and then they chef calls your name when it's ready. There are some seating along the sidewalk.
