The 16 Best Pizza Spots In Dallas

"Nobody will ever call Plano the Puglia of Texas, but Dough is serving the kind of food and wines you’ll find in Southern Italy. We’re talking Neapolitan pizzas, housemade burrata, and Italian varietals like falanghina and primitivo. The wood-burning oven and white tiled bar set the scene for a chill weeknight dinner or casual date, where you can share that aforementioned burrata and the Italian wedge salad before digging into the aptly named Pork Love pizza. It’s topped with four kinds of pork (housemade sausage, speck, soppressata, and pancetta), and the rich and salty meat is offset by bright San Marzano tomato sauce and fresh fior di latte cheese." - kevin gray

Google
Ordered every one of the happy hour apps and some were better than others. Loved the cheese sticks (basically a cheese pizza but w/o sauce). Mozzarella sticks are basically stuffed crust sticks since they use pizza dough not breading. Calimari is great. Fries are like a cross between In-N-Out and steak and shake. Wings (garlic parm) were so crispy and good. The $5 long islands are super strong and 💯/10. Also got the mac and cheese calzone and it was SO good!! Y'all are missing out if you don't give this place a chance. Don't recommend the pizza dough bites though, they were meh. Oh and they didn't have zucchini but oh well.

Google
I was here many times and ordered small pizzas and it was great. 12 inch pizzas. Then a week later I come back and order a small pizza…. It was tiny, smaller than 10 inches, I would say 6-8 inches at the maximum. Looks like a kids meal pizza. Smaller than my hand. Oh and it was the price of their medium! Absolutely terrible, and there were 3 people, it would have been obvious that the “small” pizza would be tiny for 3 people. Staff just says “oh sorry, are you sure you ordered that small pizza a week ago here”

Ashley was a great server and treated us great! Good vegetarian options. Tiramasu was so big its big enough for three people.

Dough Bro’s just opened their new location in Plano! Great spaghetti !!

Google
Interesting little spot. The menu is somewhat limited but to be fair the server said they were still working on the concept and that a full menu should be available soon. This was in September 2023 so we will see. The app came quickly and was flavorful but the real highlight was the pizza. The crust is really good and the toppings are quality and they don't skimp on them. I will definitely be back to try more pizza and to see how this place evolves. My only knock is that it says online they serve fried mushrooms which is incorrect.

Google
Go for the food, not the atmosphere. Great pizza and pasta, ample portions and ridiculously low prices. Eager staff and fast service add to the value. Not much to look at, but settle in and you will be pleasantly surprised

Google
We ordered spaghetti & meatballs and chicken Alfredo. When we opened our plates, there was damn near NO SAUCE on either; the meats and sauces had no seasoning; chicken was fried hard with cheese glued to the top. We had to doctor up our plates just to eat it and still didn’t finish it. Never again.

Google
The food here is tasty!! We had the pepperoni rolls, which were clearly made in house with fresh dough, and the calzone tasted so fresh. The ricotta inside was awesome.

Yelp
We attended a Confirmation Lunch Party here. Lots of pizzas and pastas. They're all taste great. Friendly and cooperative serving staff. Neat and clean restaurant well decorated and lighted.

Yelp
Winner! Straight across the board. The two owners are welcoming and have created a pizza haven. The salad was fresh and the dressing choices are tasty. Ordered the 16 inch Supreme Pizza and I must say it's probably the best ever. The crust is light and toasted perfectly. The sauce is just the start of a perfect blend of meat, cheese, vegetables and seasonings. The result is a sensational pizza . The atmosphere is so Italian especially the red booths. Service is outstanding and you can tell they care about your dining experience. I can't wait until my next visit where I will explore the diverse menu offerings. It's entrepreneurs like these guys that deserve your patronage. Next time you want pizza head here. I guarantee you will become a regular.

Yelp
This establishment just got their startup at this location. Staff is super friendly and engaging. Plenty of seating in the dining area and I believe they have an outdoor are as well towards the rear of the building. Super clean too. Ordered a pepperoni, black olives, and bacon 16inch along with a salad. Pizza was delicious and have no complaints here. Salad was also good. Working in the pizza industry a long time ago, I would offer this advice; getting plastic lids for the salad instead of the ones you have now. It will allow you to load up on the lettuce for a better presentation. Since it's brand new, I hope the level of service will continue to shine over and over. Will be back hopefully soon.

Yelp
Sfereco (pronounced "Sphere Co") was some of the best homemade Pizza we have had in the DFW area. My BF and I were looking for a good dinner before we went grocery shopping at H‑E‑B. We stumbled upon Sfereco and were immediately greeted by the General Manager. I wish we got her name. She was very friendly, answered all our questions over the menu, and ensured we were enjoying our time/food. The atmosphere was quiet and casual so it was easy to have a conversation. A bar greets you right as you walk in and they have a back room area for larger parties/events. Instead of ordering an actual appetizer, we ordered their traditional meatballs, or Sferes as they call them. The meat was so tender, and the sauce you could immediately tell was homemade. We also split a Large Caesar Salad, and the 12" Texas Two Step Pizza. We opted for dessert and they brought us some incredible Tiramisu. Overall, the flavors were awesome and the homemade touch was perfect. For a small Pizza joint in Plano, we were very pleasantly surprised. We are definitely looking forward to coming back. P.s. If you work in the area, you should definitely visit, because their lunch and Happy Hour specials are AWESOME!

Yelp
The pizza here is amazing, as is the service. Their lunch specials are ridiculously priced! $2 for basic individual pizza or $5 for specialty pizza. Can't beat that!!

Yelp
Really good food and friendly service! We were absolutely starving when we walked in and we were very happy to get such quick service. The food was tasty and filling, plenty to take for leftovers. The only complaint I had was that the restroom wasn't stocked and not very clean.

Yelp
Wow...they should be ashamed for charging 14 bucks for the Italian hoagie. it was on some bread the size of a hotdog bun. my wife had chicken parm....over done to the point of being almost burned. her ceaser salad seemed ok. I truly don't understand the reviews unless it's for pizza which after the hoagie, I was afraid to try. the waitress was hustling, but only checked on us once to give us the check. this was positively a one and done and I wish I would have taken a picture of that pathetic but costly mess of a sandwich.

Yelp
Business seems to be closed. Lights were on, but doors locked. Lock box on door. Open sign is on. Inside looks dusty.

Yelp
This is our second visit since the name change to Dough Bro's. Still great tasting food along with fast and friendly service. The prices are great as well. We have not had a single thing we haven't liked. The drinks are excellent too! They always seem to have specials as well. Can't go wrong coming here!
google avatar

Yelp
Placed an online order using DoorDash. The driver showed up at the restaurant and they cancelled the order. According to DoorDash, the restaurant refused to accept the order. It would have been helpful to know they weren't accepting online orders instead of waiting 30 minutes to find out. The restaurant never bothered to call or apologize for the error so it's unlikely I will try them again in the future.

Yelp
We stopped by here on a Monday night and found a hidden treasure. It was one dollar meatball night, so we ordered four meatballs, which were huge. That could've been our entire dinner if we hadn't also ordered a pizza (Texas Two Step--sausage and pepperoni and some high-quality mozzarella) and side salads (Caesar and house). Everything was delicious, seriously. Cocktails were on point. I recommend the Angelo Azzurro--a Smurf-colored gin drink--though the Sorrento Lemon Drop was also refreshing, if a little on the sweet side for my taste. Tifini offered awesome, attentive service, providing suggestions, prompt water refills, and a to-go box. Also, I just finished this review and noticed a dog walking through the restaurant and into the kitchen. Seems like an iffy health code situation. I'm taking two stars away from my previously 5-star review.

Yelp
I was disappointed by this place. It was nearly empty on a Friday night, which should have been a red flag. The decor was cool, but the food was very average. With a name like Dough Bro's, we expected a thick, flavorful crust, but the pizza crust was wafer thin, dry, and tasted like a stale cracker. Our table ordered a large custom pizza and a small specialty one, and neither really tasted like anything. And the small pizza we ordered seemed to have been left off the order somehow, so it came out about 15 minutes after our larger pizza. Our server did comp the smaller pizza, which was very kind. But given that the food was just okay, and there are many other great pizza restaurants in the area, we likely won't be returning.

Yelp
Took the kids for a quick early dinner. The booths filled up with families similar to ours. We got the dough bites, chicken wings and margherita pizza, all came out delicious. The dough is super thing and crispy, I personally love it this way. They also ran a promotion so their largest pizza was only $10! Great place with friendly staff and swift service.

Yelp
The food was amazing and service was outstanding. Ashley made us off the menu drinks. The food was terrific, we ate everything! Definitely a must visit it.

Yelp
Really good pizza. Sauce, crust and ingredients are all top notch and played well together. Would go there again.

Yelp
We made the smart decision of trying a new restaurant after not eating all day. Naturally, because we didn't know what we would like other than just about everything, we ordered A LOT. And they got us with an irresistible happy hour deal (4-6pm, not sure which days - I went on Tuesday), half off meatballs and 16" specialty pizza. And there are half off deals for adult drinks too but we didn't order any tonight so not sure which qualify. Service was excellent. They were very attentive and came by to check on us throughout the meal. The environment was very unique, Western meets Italian. We started off with the beef ravioli, which was a great appetizer. My 2 year old loved it too. The marinara is so fresh and well seasoned, I would eat it straight up if I hadn't told my kid not to. The beef ravioli could hold its own without the marinara but combining the two makes this starter a show stopper! For entrees, we ordered the shrimp scampi and Uncle Paul's CFS. I loved the capers in the shrimp scampi; it provided a good balance that cut through the creaminess and cheesiness of the sauce. The shrimp were large and plentiful. The little bread stick on the side though, omg. Like seriously. The pasta was very delicious but that bread stick was imported from heaven. Uncle Paul's CFS was the only dish that didn't exceed expectations. We got to try the meatballs through ordering this dish and I enjoyed the meatballs much more than the fully cooked ribeye. The meatballs are moist and yummy. While the ribeye was moist, why on earth was it fully cooked??? I brought it home to combine with something else for a later meal. Finally, we ordered a 6 shooter pizza because we were hungry and it was a great deal. The flavors on that thing were like fireworks going off one after another bite after bite. It was really, really good. It is on the salty side and something in there is spicy. I personally enjoyed the crust, which was soft rather than crispy. And of course, the tomato sauce like their marinara was perfection. We had planned to order tiramisu but really did not have any room left for it. That's a good thing because now we can order it next time! Thanks for an amazing meal Sfereco (pronounced sphere co)!

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch one day, their lunch specials are priced right for the the amount of food you get! You can get either a Caesar or house salad, and pizza (options of pepperoni or cheese) for $10 bucks!

Candace S.

Yelp
Definitely recommend! We dined on a Monday night ($1 meatball special night)! Ordered a House Salad, 3 meatballs (appetizer) & a large "6 Shooter" pizza. Win! Win! Win! Service was great, as well. (Thank you, Dillon!). We were really surprised at how flavorful the pizza tasted. The crust is amazing - a butter garlic sauce that kicks up the flavor AND adds a nice crispness with a soft center.

Yelp
The two pizza's we ordered were great and all 4 kids really liked the spaghetti. We also shared the meatball sub which was worth going back for. The service was quick , correct and kind . This place is new and it's the best place to hold residence in this location. It's not the same as the past , go try it !
google avatar

Yelp
Simple yet creative menu with great taste out of the oven while also being quick to get you your food. It's a nice stop that doesn't break the bank in an expensive area. Strongly recommend here for lunch. It's peaceful and quick during the lunch rush

Yelp
While the name may be difficult to pronounce, the pizza is out of this world! Sfereco was recommended to us by some friends of ours and we feel it is our duty to spread the word. We've been looking for a replacement pizza restaurant since one of our local fave went out of business. After our first visit we can proudly say we will become regulars. The Bandito pizza with garlic parm wings is what we ordered along with two kids pepperoni pizzas. Our server was fantastic, regularly checking on us to ensure our drinks didn't run on empty and the entire place was super clean. Sfereco checked off all the boxes on our list for goto pizza joints and we can't wait to return.

Yelp
My new go to! Friendly staff, delicious pizza, good drinks. It's definitely on my list of regular pizza shops!
google avatar

S O.

Yelp
Our meal was ok. Multiple items weren't very hot. The chicken on the pizza had a distinct taste of being microwaved. The waitstaff was nice. The manager wasn't very friendly. It is very very dark with very bright lights around the art which wasn't super pleasant. We won't be back.

Yelp
I kept looking and waiting for this place to open. Tonight I found it to be open!! To my surprise, it was not like Palio where the counter used to be is now a very nice bar. Cozy and welcoming. Dillion was quick to grab me a menu and welcome me. I sat at the bar, which I never intended to because I didn't have eye makeup on and I had lots to do but I decided to enjoy the new place and relax. First, it brought me back to the late 90's early 2000's when everyone was so nice, great food, reasonable prices with good prices. Not like today where everyone is greedy, the food is junk and no one says anything nice.i LOVED them here especially Dillion. I ordered the Monday Meatball Special $1 per meatball. They were in a sauce with basil which was my favorite and thankfully I had a lot of green in my dish. Yum! I took home the Mexican pizza which I'm all about supporting the Mexican or taco pizza. The cust has a good chew with slight crisp not too thin or thick. I love cilantro so this is perfect for cilantro lovers as it has a nice sauce drizzled on top. I would suggest this one for eating there with a group though. Not as tasty after a couple hours like another kind might be so buy this one there then another kind to take home. Whatever you do try their cherry. Ask for a cherry coke or cherry bourbon coke. They have the most amazing cherries von the planet. Honestly, I've been frustrated with finding a nice place to chill and meet nice people while getting dinner and this place does not disappoint. My goal is to go once a week. Thanks Dillon and the rest of the team for being excellent!! Congrats I think you have a winner.

Darian B.

Yelp
I enjoyed the service! The pizza and salad were fantastic. The pizza had a great thin crust and lots of sauce. I definitely will be back to try the different pastas on the menu. The ambiance in the restaurant was comfy and relaxing. I think it's a great spot that deserves a ton of business. Make sure y'all go try this place!

Yelp
The food was great, service was great, not very busy so immediately seated. We enjoyed the pizza, lasagna, pizza puffs, and skewers.
google avatar

Yelp
Service is phenomenal! Great food, great presentation and the service is on point. Really recommend going for Happy Hour - won't disappoint!
google avatar

Yelp
We've had this pizza about three times now they delivery and it is always delicious. Even the cauliflower crust is as good as regular crust! A must try! Definitely our go to now.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
We ended up here as we didn't know Macaronis had closed, and we are so glad we did! Wonderful taste, presentation, service. We will definitely be coming again! The garlic shrimp scampi was wonderful, and the capers gave it an extra savory taste that was fantastic. The rigatoni had tomatoes, broccolini, and sausage that was really great. The whipped ricotta appetizer was really tasty. The Monday meatball special was really yummy and we got some to go. The pistachio soft serve ice cream was served in a really delicate edible shell that was great together. The waiter was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. We will be back!

Yelp
Good food and service. Extremely pleasant work staff. Definitely recommend you give this place a try

Yelp
Recently stopped by this location based off some other great reviews. Such a groovy vibe with a mix between Country and Italian. Trendy spot with really great and filling brick oven pizza.

Karen N.

Yelp
Really good and very inexpensive pizza. Great calzone and garlic knots . Service and atmosphere really good. Highly recommend

Koochooloo F.

Yelp
It's probably the worst cheese pizza and sausage calzone I have ever had. There are hardly any toppings on the calzone and the least amount of cheese on the pizza. Grrr!

Aubreigh M.

Yelp
I tried all the pizza in 8" & they were all amazing . You can also make your own pizza, they have wings, & the cannolis are delicious! Staff was friendly, the place it's self was nice & clean! It just opened so show a small business some love!

Cindy W.

Yelp
I wish I could have tried the pizza but sadly Grubhub gave it to someone else...not your fault so I will give you 5 hopeful stars that someday I will try again but will pick it up.

James F.

Yelp
Wanted to try it but they can't take orders on a Friday night because the cook isn't there. Trash

Joe D.

Yelp
Food is very good. I had the rigatoni and it was excellent. The pizza looked really good didn't have any. Service was excellent really liked our server.

Simi H.

Yelp
Came in without a reservation with 10 people. They were able to accommodate us and food was great. Thank you!

Dee S.

Yelp
You had me at cup and char pepperoni!!! This is THE only place in DFW that does it right. We also had wings and the pizza puffs- both delicious. As if the delicious food wasn't enough, we had a problem with online ordering and the manager did a FANTASTIC job of taking care of us! If your Midwest heart is missing old world pepperoni cup n char style, don't waste one more minute looking.. they got it here!!

Thomas D.

Yelp
Had a very enjoyable meal at Sfereco this evening. Service was really great - from being seated through the entire meal. Server, bartender and manager all came to check in on things. Food was very good - salad and pasta dishes. Will try the pizza next time we visit. A great place for a casual meal, especially for families.

Karen D.

Yelp
Went with friends for the first time on a Monday night. Everything was good! The guys both had Shrimp Scampi, the other female had the Baked Salmon and I had the Rigatoni with fennel sausage. All of us were pleased with our choice. My husband and I each had the small Caesar salad add-on for $2. House wines were $5/glass during the 4-6 p.m. Happy Hour. Specialty Pizzas were also offered at a lower price during Happy Hour, but we didn't order one on this visit. Brian was our waiter; he was attentive and polite without hovering over us. The restaurant has been renovated since the former pizza restaurant moved. We will definitely return!

Janet S.

Yelp
I shop at Market Street all the time and was curious about the "new place" that was opening. I decided to check out Yelp reviews and saw the good reviews and wanted to check it out. WOW - am I glad we did!!! I am from NYC and quite fussy about my pizza. I usually like a thin crust pizza but this slightly thicker crust pizza was fantastic. To make it even better we came at 5PM and hit the 4-6PM Happy Hour when all the 16" speciality pizzas are 1/2 off. We ordered "The Basic" which is either pepperoni or sausage with cheese and sauce. It was delicious - pepperoni crisp like I like it and fresh cheese and great sauce and I loved the thicker crust. We also happened to be there on a Monday when the Basic Meatballs were $1 each. I was curious about the name of the place "Sfereco" and our terrific server Keegan explained that the name came from Sfere (like Sphere) the shape of a meatball and Co for company and they are know for their meatballs. Hearing that we splurged and tried one meatball and it was great - what a deal. They do have some speciality meatballs too. Happy Hour wines were $5 and were a good poor with some known brands. The manager came over also to greet us. The rest of their menu looked great with reasonable pricing. Fantastic addition to this shopping center and so glad we are close because we will definitely be back.

Donna G.

Yelp
Gave this place a try while my sister was in town. The service was gracious, but even better...the food was fabulous! The cheese fire balls were to die for...so light and crispy on the outside...cheesy goodness on the inside. 6 Shooter pizza his all the right notes, and cheesy garlic bread was yummy. we ended our meal with the Italian doughnut...with house made caramel sauce. We are already planning our next visit!

Gene C.

Yelp
Pizza is not even in the top 20 in Plano. Reminded me of CiCi's when I use to take the kids there after a game. Although CiCi much less expensive! Meatballs - beef - were not terrible. Bryce our server, was attentive and pleasant. There was a dog in the restaurant with a patron. At one point she gave the dog to the bartender to hold and when she returned he gave the dog back to her and he didn't wash his hands. LOTS if garlic.... IMO- don't waste your money and time when there are plenty more options in the area. Like Kenny's, Campisi and Covino's.
