Google
The service was great, and I liked some of the food. I was really surprised by how small the portion of dan dan noodles was, and they didn't have any spiciness or numbing flavor at all. The beef pies was underwhelming because the beef just slid out and had no flavor. On the other hand, the wontons and spicy beef pancake roll were good.

Google
This was really good! The beef stew noodles were good. And the pork wontons with chili sauce were AMAZING. I wish there was more in the portion! The chicken pot-stickers were alright though. I had passion fruit green tea which is super sweet fair warning! But it was delicious. The only downside to this place was the service, it didn’t take long to get in but service to receive food or someone to bring the check took a long time. Chicken Pot-stickers was the last to come, we had to remind a waiter/waitress twice for it. Maybe this was just a bad day and not much staff was here today but that’s that. Give it a try!

Google
Great for family gatherings, the price was exactly the price they serve. The kale serve cold make sure that you are aware. It’s quick serve . I have been there for 3 times and cheaper to Din Thai fung. The Boba price was worth it and $1 extra for it and Huge for the price, We ordered a Ube flavor. And beef stew noodles is great taste.

Google
Not a bad place to stop by if you have a craving for Chinese classics like dan dan noodles and xiao long bao. Not the most authentic place in the world but the food they did serve tasted great for the most part. Xiao long bao were hot and steamy, dan dan noodles were a tad bit saltier than average but I loved it. My boyfriend, who has a lighter palette couldn’t stomach it and ordered the ma la noodles instead. Kale salad was atrocious though, the kale seemed to have been boiled or overcooked somehow and it was marinated in the accompanying sauce for so long that you could only bite into it once. Price was fairly reasonable for Bellevue.

Google
The best dough zone location I've been to, and I've been to many! Great interior, the best dan dan noodles, and very clean. I very much recommend this spot for a casual dinner or a low stakes business dinner. I will likely be coming back. The only thing is that it's hard to find parking.

Google
I found Dough Zone to be pretty unimpressive overall. The food was just okay—nothing memorable—and the service felt rushed, more like a fast food joint than a sit-down restaurant. Not the kind of dining experience I was hoping for.

Victor Wu

Google
The pork wontons are way too small, they were not always this small. You can find photos from others in old reviews with wontons at least twice the size of ours. The amount and quality of meat in the soup dumplings has also gone down, but not as much yet. Not sure if this is a change in just this location or company wide but charging $1.20 for one wonton with less meat than my pinky fingernail is unacceptable. Will not be returning to this location.

Tam

Google
Tried Dough Zone hoping for an authentic Chinese dining experience, but left a bit underwhelmed. The Dan Dan noodles had an odd texture and taste that left a film in my mouth—not something I’d want to try again. Service wasn’t great either—no greeting, felt abrupt and rushed throughout. Overall, not eager to return.

Yelp
I absolutely adore dough zone and this location is no exception. It seems like it was built relatively recently, but it has an amazing interior and the atmosphere and ambiance are on point. Service can be a little bit slow when it's really busy but they're clearly working their hardest and doing their best to keep everyone happy. The food is pretty consistent with any other dose and locations but is nothing short of amazing. Dough zone is actually one of the locations. I always tell tourists to come visit when they are in town is actually one of the locations. I always tell tourists to come visit when they are in town. Their soup dumplings are definitely a signature dish, but I personally love their dandan noodles as well as their Q buns. This place is definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Chicken Xiao Long Bao: The skin was oddly soggy and the skin was uneven in thickness, causing it to break. The flavor also wasn't that good. Q-Bao (Pan Fried Pork Buns): The bun was soft and delicious, and the pork inside was well cooked and seasoned.

Yelp
*update* still 5 stars but warning to future dine in customers! they are not validating parking in the garage behind the restaurant anymore sadly!

Yelp
My family loves this Dough Zone and comes here often but today, we had a subpar experience in comparison to what we are used to from this establishment. To start, the bathrooms were filthy. My sister said there wasn't toilet paper in the stall she was in and had to get a roll from the handicapped bathroom. Additionally the paper towel dispenser was empty and the spare roll was left on the counter. This is just all around unsanitary as there's no way to know if the paper you're using to wipe your clean hands is actually clean or has been splashed by dirty water from another careless patron. At a food establishment, this is disgusting to me as employees also have to use the same bathrooms. We were very disappointed in the Pork Xiao Long Bao. They were out of the ones with crab in them and the Xiao Long Bao we were served came to our table looking like they had been through war. This is one of our go-tos and we didn't love how the soup was falling out of these poorly made dumplings before we even pierced them with our chopsticks. This made for a difficult and messy eating experience. All the food still tasted delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the Pork and Shrimp Potstickers and the Pan Fried Wontons in Chili Sauce which are some of my favourite dishes. The crispy bottoms of the potstickers make for a delicious crunch and we love dunking all sorts of dumplings into the delicious chili sauce. Our soup arrived last near the end of our meal when we had anticipated it arriving first as an appetiser. My mom asked for two bowls so we could eat our wonton soup. Our server brought us the check before bringing us our bowls and only brought us one bowl instead of the two we asked for. This lack of attention just made us as customers feel like we weren't getting the service we needed. My mom ended up just not eating soup because we only received one bowl. We love Dough Zone and have never had an experience this unsatisfactory. I would probably afford them more leniency if the restaurant had been packed but there were only a few patrons and we had no wait time to be seated. We really hope we return to an improved experience for our next visit.

Yelp
You come to bellevue to try a restaurant and park underneath the restaurant and they say "we don't validate parking" - I'm sorry, plenty of places do in Main Street. I have no interest in taking a chance with a business that doesn't welcome their clientele

Yelp
We went to Dough Zone to celebrate my special with my family .... It's located in the most happening place in Bellevue and u have to park in the garage which is paid to find a secure spot. The items in menu are very reasonably priced but quantity was just adequate and not too much. Dumplings were good but a bit too much "dough" so I had to cut out a part of it. Taste was great and price was reasonable Overall this a great place to go have some dumplings and noodles without costing h a fortune

Yelp
I love this restaurant! It's clean, it's in the heart of downtown Bellevue, and the service is just wonderful! The food is delicious and exactly what you're expecting when you come to a place like this. All the dishes we got came out so delicious (chicken & pork soup dumplings, green onion pancakes, and shrimp and pork boiled dumplings). All were 10/10 and were so good I forgot to take a pic of all dishes before eating! :) Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This is quite a disappointing visit since I used to love this chain. The dumpling was a little over cooked and lost the soup since every dumpling was stuck to the paper. The cucumber could have been a little more crispier and fresher. The Q bao had a lot less filling than previous. The dry noodle was perfectly cooked , not best price break for the dish though. Lastly they stop validating parking so paid $8 for parking. Don't really support this decision especially for a location in the middle of Bellevue downtown. Service was not great.

Yelp
Well, this zone wasn't busy and if you really are craving some dumplings, this is an OK spot but I spent just as much as I did at Din Tai Fung and didn't have nearly the experience as I would if we had just made reservations for there I hated this location. It's in a creepy dirty strip mall. The picture was absolutely gross, and it was lukewarm was not a fan The pork soup dumplings were nothing The way that we ordered just made the whole table thing confusing. I wish they would've each given us a little things so that we could do our own orders because they only gave us one paper so then it was too hard to really split the bill or even know who stuff was who's without going back to the menu that was online that had pictures. I don't know. I just have the best experience here. I would rather spend my money at Din Tai Fung and they also didn't have great desserts which I hate because I always love something a little sweet at the end of my dinner.

Yelp
Been here multiple times over the years and sometimes it hits the spot for basic soup dumpling needs, while other times it leaves you yearning for more. The pork xiao long bao is the main star, but I just always wish they had more hot, scalding soup inside; unfortunately these chains in the Seattle area still don't stack up versus East coast spots. The steamed pork bun and pork/shrimp potsticker and dumpling are honorable mentions. The chicken and vegetarian versions of the aforementioned are just not on the same level. The soy sauce noodles don't have any memorable flavor. The dan dan noodles provides a nice zing, but similarly doesn't have much depth. Pass on the Thai and ube milk teas; both too light on flavor, and the ube one tasted like a chalky powder. Note they don't validate parking anymore. :(

Yelp
Solid spot for dumplings and northern Chinese dumplings and noodle dishes. The location is right in the Old Bellevue main street area, close to a small area of restaurants, shops and downtown residential buildings. Parking is generally available via street parking. They don't take reservations and can get crowded around dinner so best to get there early to avoid the wait. I've heard this is a local chain which has several locations around the Seattle area. This location is very spacious and clean, looks to be opened fairly recently in the past few years. High ceilings, a lot of oak-tone wood paneling, full length windows along the front facade, it's gave me the impression of eating in modern mountain lodge. Came here with friends and enjoyed several items: - sweet & sour cucumber $7.15: would recommend, they pickle these well and cut them up expertly to form little coiled mounds, almost like little cucumber snakes (ok not the most appetizing image but they looked impressive!) - pork xiaolongtangbao $9.95 and pork&crabmeat version $9.95: would recommend, they are similar to the ones from DinTaiFung, thin skin, tender filling and tasty soup that's not too greasy. both versions were good. - Q-bao $9.95: their signature pan fried steamed bao with soup inside. I've never had a combination bao like this before and thought it was creative and tasty, seemed like similar filling to their XLTB. I'm kinda stumped as to how they steam the dough to be fluffy, then fry the bottom while keeping the inside as juicy as it was, but I guess that's why it's their secret recipe! - green onion pancakes $3.95: pretty generic fried with slight crisp to exterior and a little chewy inside. - broccoli with seafood sauce $7.15: about a dozen pieces of gently steamed broccoli with a seafood dipping sauce. Good for getting your daily serving of veggies and it's exactly what it sounds like, I'd probably skip next time. - fried wontons with spicy garlic sauce $7.15: the fry was pretty light on the bottom, and the skin was a bit thin to hold up to the fry, made it seem more steamed than fried. Flavor was pretty decent though I expected more of a crispy texture on the bottom. Garlic sauce tasted a bit garlicky though not spicy. - dandan noodles $7.75, pan-fried chive dumplings (3 pc) $7.15, and beef stew noodle soup $9.95: I didn't try these though these though I'm curious to give them a try next time!

Yelp
Food was amazing but the service was so slow, we were skipped multiple times and forgotten while others while seated but once we were sat the service was okay

Yelp
In Seattle visiting family. Ordered --- ***** Beef Noodle Soup (5 STARS) - perfect broth, beefy yet light and flavorful; tender chunks of beef, white noodle perfectly al dente. *** Crispy egg pancake (3 Stars) - a Northern Chinese specialty, I'm not a fan, the texure is odd and the taste bland. **** Pork and shrimp Potstickers (4 Stars) - solid pan-fried dumplings. Overall, excellent food by L.A. '626' standards. Better still, the prices are 30-40% cheaper than L.A. NOTE: they no longer validate $8 garage parking!

Yelp
My bf and I just left Bellevue Square and decided to grab dinner before heading home. We decided on Dough Zone (he loves XLB). I've been to two other locations, and have some favorite items, which I ordered: Dan Dan Noodles, Pork Wontons with Chili Sauce, and Spicy Beef Pancake Roll. We also ordered Beef-Stew Noodle Soup, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Green Onion Pancake, Thai Milk Tea, and Passion Fruit Green Tea. Everything was tasty. I felt like it was all better than I remembered it. Except the Beef-Stew Noodle Soup wasn't as flavorful and tasty as we've had at other places. Service was good and quick.

Yelp
NO PARKING VALIDATION - We found out AFTER eating that they no longer provide parking validation. They should have it written in the entrance of the parking garage, instead of on a small slip of paper on the front door. Food was good as always. When we came (May 8, 2024) they had a buy one get one sale for 3 of the drinks - the passionfruit, Thai milk tea, and ube. Hubs and I got passionfruit and Thai milk tea. The dan dan noodles are consistently good - creamy, a little spicy, and flavorful. The kale salad was just ok. Pork and shrimp dumplings were nice. They were hearty and homey.

Yelp
Was seated right away! They were busy- we were there about 2 weeks ago on a weekday and the place was almost all full so it is popular! Prices were about right- so if you want dumplings, wontons, and soup dumplings this place has it all with dessert and noodle options too! It was our first time there so we figured out how it works pretty easily- they give you the slip and a pencil- you fill out what you want by check marking the slip. Hand the slip to a waiter. The best hands down was their noodles actually. We got the pan fried buns that everyone raves about here- they were good but the noodles we got were so chewy, fragrant, and fresh. Like they were just the highlight of the night for us so I recommend trying their noodle dish. Pan fried dumplings were my 2nd fav. The pan fried buns I would say were my 3rd fav. The texture and flour makeup were more "generic" to me, it was good, but didnt quite stand out- but the pan friend dumplings were great! They gave us a nice tote as a gift for spending over a certain amount. Very clean place and overall a great experience- must try if you are in the area.

Yelp
Even when it was busy for a weekend evening, we were seated almost immediately! The interior was so pretty and I loved how the atmosphere was. Everyone was very kind and helped us out whenever we needed it. We got: Pork Xiao Long Bao, Q-Bao, Fried Wontons w/ Chili Sauce, Chicken & Vegetable Wontons w/ Chili Sauce, Sweet & Sour Cucumber, Dan Dan Noodles, and Noodles w/ Minced Pork! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! My favorite would be the noodle dishes! I loved them so much!

Yelp
First time at this location, but not my first time at Dough Zone. This location is pretty nice! Given it's around bellevue square so i guess it has to be. Honestly I think DTF is better--but not THAT much better, so the price point of this place makes it much more worth it. Dishes I got this time: - Cucumber: classic refreshing app. Cool shape, wish i didnt have to cut it though - Pork Qbao/pan fried bao: Probs my fav dish of the night! Would recommend - Dan dan noodles: it's kind of szechuan-y fyi which sometimes i dont like but i dont mind it too much in this - Pork XLB: Im not picky with xlb so i think its good. Eat it before it gets cold tho - Green onion pancake: soo dry, would not recommend - Pork wontons in chili sauce: i've never not liked a wonton in chili sauce. Easily got a table for 2 on a wednesday night.

Yelp
dough zone always hits. no wait for 2 on a tuesday evening - but join the yelp waitlist before you arrive if you're coming during a peak time! we got the beef noodle soup, pork XLB, cucumbers, fried wontons with chili sauce, and dan dan noodles for 2 ppl. everything was tasty and we left very full and i felt like it was good value for the price. ive also had the spicy beef pancake roll and Q bao which are great too. no parking validation fyi. pretty spacious inside and i saw they have a large private room, could be good for events and birthday parties!

Yelp
Went here for a late lunch on a week day- it was fairly empty and we were sat quickly. Food comes out as it is made. It was delicious and so many options for vegans/vegetarians. Will come again next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
Dough Zone has quickly become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving dumplings, and I can't get enough of their affordable prices. The menu offers a wide variety of dumplings, each unique and flavorful. I especially appreciate that despite their popularity, the wait times are never too long, making it a convenient choice for a quick, satisfying meal. The service is always efficient and the restaurant is cozy with lower lighting, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Definitely worth a visit.
google avatar

Dan H.

Yelp
This dough zone was lively and is in a brand new building. The service was good. People were warm and helpful. Food came out fast and was hot. We orders the Ma La noodles (because we don't like the Szechuan pepper taste of Dan Dan), Q baos, soup dumplings, pork wontons with spicy sauce, and the cold kale with sesame and all were pretty solid. Would recommend coming back here again. Surprised the price was not bad at all ~$50 for two and we left pretty full. Overall solid place. Although din tai fung is still better, but for much more money. Aka This is a poor man's DTF.
google avatar

Saemyi L.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night for dinner. There was no wait at all and we got seated right away. Everything was so delicious and on point. The soup dumplings came out hot and juicy. The noodles were cooked to perfection! I didn't care so much for the pan-fried dumplings. And they took a while to bring out the crepe. But the servers were attentive and checked in on us to make sure we got our food. Pig ears weren't quite like what I remembered it to be and a lot thinner that I expected. It wasn't my favorite pig ear dish that I've had but it was decent. Overall ambiance was good. FYI, I think you can get your parking validated. The server asked us if we wanted to but we parked elsewhere so we didn't need it.

Yelp
Grabbed dinner at Dough Zone while on a work trip with my boyfriend. Love the area this location is at, great for taking a stroll or checking out the nearby park. It was a chilly night, so we decided to grab some yummy soup and dumplings. We ordered the Pork XLB, beef noodle stew soup, cucumbers, and the Bao buns. The dumplings and the soup stood out the most, but would still vote Din Tai Fung as my number one go to for soup dumplings.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner. Basically, it's similar to din tai fung. It's not as good as din tai fung, but it's not bad, and you don't have to wait hours for food. The XLB were probably the best. The boiled dumplings and pan fried dumplings were a bit too salty. It's also more affordable which is a big plus. Would definitely come back when I'm craving dumplings and wanting a low key experience.

B. O.

Yelp
I'm not sure why people compare dough zone with Din Tai Fung? Sure they serve similar items, if you could say that. It's like comparing a fresh plump orange with one that is sinking in on itself, devoid of juice. Sure they look the same, but the substance and enjoyment are not there. We were seated immediately and the food was brought out in good time. The Bellevue location seems to be a popular place for young families, so you can plan on some noise. It was around 1-1:30 on a Saturday. We ordered the ZLB, pork steam buns, Dan Dan noodles, pork potstickers, Beef Pancake Roll and the banana naan. Beef pancake roll was probably my favorite thing. Flavorful and crunchy. Steam buns were just that, nothing much inside, not even a spoonful of soup in the XLB. Banana naan was too greasy for my liking. Swing and a miss.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Lots of things on menu no longer available and I didn't notice after drinking the water there was a lipstick stain. Oh and it's a surprise they no longer validate.
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
Part of a chain of about 18 restaurants between Washington and Texas, the earthy dining room does not feel very "chain." Spicy noodle was our first dish dropped. It was mildly spicy very oily, and not very flavorful. The soup dumplings were next. They were excellent. Then we got the shrimp and zucchini steamed dumplings. Best of the meal. We finished with the green scallion pancake, which was crisp and flaky. There are a ton of servers. They're very good at moving food to tables. Very bad about checking on guests, refilling water, or being mindful to watch for guests in need of assistance as they're zooming from table to kitchen and back. Star down for the lost business. We might have ordered a bit more. They didn't care to ask. The place is huge, but perpetually packed. Yelp Waitlist was very useful. Garage parking is about $8-$16. Street parking is tough.

Yelp
This was our first visit to this location, though we've been to others before. We ordered the Zha Jiang Min noodles, chicken and vegetable wontons in chili sauce, and fried wontons with chili sauce. Unfortunately, the food tasted stale, which was disappointing. We visited later in the day, but that's no excuse for serving food that seemed off. There was a noticeable rancid smell, suggesting either stale ingredients or old oil was used in the cooking. On the positive side, the service was fast and attentive, and the ambiance was pleasant. I just wish they prioritized serving fresher food.
google avatar

Thom W.

Yelp
Good food. Like the Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons. Washer it down with a beer can't go wrong. Service is quick. Can't go wrong here.
google avatar

Guymon S.

Yelp
I've been to this location in person and generally have had good experiences but honestly they really drop the ball when it comes to takeout. 1. The amount of liquid they give you for wonton noodle soup is incredibly disappointing, it isn't even enough to cover the dumplings. I've had this experience multiple times getting takeout. 2. The scallion pancakes I had tasted rancid and bitter. They had either been made ahead and had been sitting for hours or were made with stale ingredients. It's pretty obvious they don't prioritize freshness or quality for takeout orders. I would avoid altogether.
google avatar

Vincenzo C.

Yelp
Food, service and ambience are all good. An easy choice to eat some good Chinese dumplings
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
Delicious food! And I love the ambience. It's very chic and comfortable. I'm also very impressed with the prices. Two of us for $50 and we walked out so full. We had the beef, pancake roll, cucumbers, Dan, And Dan, noodles, beef, stew noodle, fried potstickers, and tea. Soooo good. Service was a little bit slow but they had a packed house so totally understandable. They did what they could and they were very friendly and nice and helpful. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Allen H.

Yelp
Honestly really great option if you want some buns/dumplings and not in the mood to deal with the possible crowd or prices at Din Tai Fung. Really solid chain, and the Bellevue location is decently spacious. Clean spot and well-scattered seating. They have an online menu with pictures so that should be really helpful. The spicy beef pancake roll is always an absolute essential for me when I eat at these types of dumplings restaurants. I almost look forward to this dish more than anything else sometimes. The spicy version is not that spicy, and has more flavor. I'll always get spicy over non-spicy. Wontons are great, I think there were like 6-8 in there from what I remember. Q-Bao as described, is one of their featured dishes. Crunchy bottom, soft top with a soupy center. Careful biting into these as they are hot and juices will literally shoot out!
google avatar

Meenakshi T.

Yelp
I absolutely adore dumplings and my team took me here for dinner and BOY! did this place deliver. My favorite dumplings were the soup dumplings and the pan-fried dumplings. I also loved the sweet and sour cucumbers and finished an entire plate by myself. i loved the Spicy Noodles too but like I said before what captured my palate and my heart were the dumplings and I will be back for more. I am so happy that there is a Dough Zone now right next to where I live in the Bay Area (San Mateo)
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
Ordered the wonton soup to go. And they barely gave me any soup. I've had this at the restaurant before and there was way more soup.
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
I love coming here for dumplings if Din Tai Fung is already booked for reservations. Although it's not the level of DTF, it still has a lot of very delicious food. The place is very spacious and bright inside, lots of seating. It does get crowded here too though, so keep that in mind. There is a parking garage for validated parking which makes it convenient to eat here. Foods that I recommend ordering: xiao long bao, spicy dumplings, dan dan noodles, green onion pancakes, and the cucumber! I love to eat vegetables so I also recommend their romaine lettuce with the spicy dressing... it is so good! I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood of dumplings in downtown Bellevue! Service is fast and generally friendly. I never had a bad service experience here. Everything is clean and food is always so delicious! Great place for a date since you can still hear and see your date :)
google avatar

Belldandy O.

Yelp
Was already in the downtown Bellevue area and wanted something to eat for lunch, which lead us to Dough Zone. It was a bit of a wait when we showed up, which made sense since it was lunch time on the weekend. Even though it was a bit busy, it didn't feel busy since the service was relatively fast and the restaurant itself is pretty spacious. You are not seated too close to other groups. Dough Zone is pretty convenient in the sense that the portion size of the dishes is small enough for you to order a bunch of dishes to try versus ordering a few dishes with larger portions.
google avatar

Genevieve V.

Yelp
For quick and good value dumplings, you can't beat this spot. The Bellevue location is really quite large, which is good, because it's quite busy. Get in the virtual queue for a table if you can! This location is also next to all kinds of other great wine bars and traditional bars, making it a great spot for a bite on a night out. Like any dumpling spot, it's tough for vegetarians or pescatarians. Many of the options have pork in them, so just keep that in mind. The food is delicious and the service is quick and good.
google avatar

Jane M.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of Dough Zone and almost get cravings to dine and eat at this dumpling house! We ordered the xiao long bao, q-bao, fried wonton with spicy garlic sauce, dan dan noodle, spicy mala, noodle with minced pork, Kale salad, cucumber side, mango pancake and passion fruit green tea. Each one of these items were amazing! We also ordered the spicy beef sandwich and that was not good at all. The pork was chewy the flavors were not good all in all that dint taste well. But well now we know we should stick to our regular tried tested and loved menu items! The Mango pancake was really good.. if only they could also make the chocolate dumpling that Din Tai Fung have - my wish will be fulfilled.. the prices are so reasonable and i can keep eating their dumplings all day long! i will be back to get my dumpling cravings satisfied here without burning a hole in my pocket!

Yelp
First time at DoughZone. Loved the food here. We went DZ on Saturday for dinner. We were able to get a table right away. We ordered : onion pancake Spicy wontons Pan fried Potstickers Steamed Dumplings Dan Dan Noodles We loved all the dishes. We had also ordered soup dumplings but they were out of those. This is a reasonably priced placed. We paid around $45 for 5 dishes including tip. Would I go here again? Yes Would I recommend this to friends n family? Yes My only suggestion to the restaurant owners would be to get food in the right order.

Yelp
I've always heard how dough zone was good but as Din Tai Fung was always there, I never tried. When my partner came to town we decided to try it. We came at opening and were shown to our table. The booth was pretty broken - it was flaky and showed its age although the whole restaurant looked new. There were also splatters of chili oil on the seat which needed to be cleaned up... so the bench wasn't cleaned from the night prior to the morning. We ordered an assortment of items which are below. sweet and sour cucumber: the cucumber is not cut nor is it seasoned well. Pretty bland. green onion pancake: nothing special about the green onion pancake. As the green onion is dehydrated, there's almost no green onion flavor. jianbing: a specialty of this location and pretty good appetizer that has a sweet/sour plum-ish sauce to share with the table. if you haven't tried it before, get it! its not bad and something not offered anywhere else. XLB: this was the dish I liked out of everything. The skin is thicker than Din Tai Fung and pretty good and juicy. The order comes with 6 pieces. Q-bao: I love how the bottom of the bao is crispy and the inside is juicy. The only thing is that the outside makes it seem like they're mass produced and frozen - the outside texture was really dry. fried wontons with sweet spicy garlic sauce: the wontons are fried like the pan fried dumplings - there's a nice crispy skirt on the boiled wontons. The sweet spicy garlic sauce was more like sweet and sour which was disappointing. noodles with onion soy sauce: pretty small bowl which is more a side. There's a very light onion flavor but its nothing overwhelming. Overall dough zone was very mid and although it's more affordable than Din Tai Fung, I would rather spend more money there where I know the food is really good. FYI they have Yelp waitlist so utilize that if it gets crowded.

Yelp
dough zone is a seattle classic and makes me proud to be northern chinese and a seattlelite. they have a variety of noodle and dumpling dishes, northern chinese style (this is distinct from shanghainese or hong kong dim sum). the shrimp and zucchini dumplings are excellent. the menu is relatively simple, wish they had more appetizers and vegetable dishes. service is quick and the atmosphere of the downtown location is very nice in a large, newly built building. can get difficult to find parking and can get crowded during the dinnertime.

Yelp
We dine here weekly! This location on Main St is our favorite. The restaurant is clean and service is always good. It's great for a quick in and out. We always get the chicken xiao long bao, shrimp and zucchini dumplings, chicken wontons in hot chili sauce, and Dan Dan noodles.

Yelp
Food was so good. I could have sat there for 3 hours and just had food keep coming out. Place was clean and inviting. Staff was very kind and accommodating. Only thing I was bummed about was ordering the green onion pancake and never getting it. Thankful we weren't charged for it. I'll be back!!

Yelp
Got lots of small portions for a good price and each one of them was delicious. Ate for about 2 hours because the spot was perfect for just chit-chatting.

Yelp
(https://www.doughzonedumplinghouse.com/) How I heard of this place: My sisters ventured here one night. The next day, they brought me. Neither local to Bellevue, but both in love with the spot. Type of cuisine: "Dough Zone Dumpling House was established in Bellevue, WA in 2014. The motivation behind the creation of Dough Zone was a desire to bring traditional homemade Chinese comfort food into a modern setting. The dishes served at Dough Zone are the perfect size for customers to share and try a variety of different food without breaking the bank. Over 50 different dishes are available to choose from and customers get the opportunity to mix & match to create their own personalized combination. A wide array of authentic flavors that will truly give your palate a new perception of taste." Ambiance: Definitely not the mom and pop shop that opened nearly a decade ago, the space is modern, large, and bustling. Set at the ground floor of a larger building, reservations notifications are stuck to the windows, and on the tablet in the front entry. Giving the impression that the place is always full - and perhaps it is on weekdays - the room is busy with activity - servers running to and fro, orders coming and empty plates going at every turn. What I ordered: To start, Sweet & Sour Cucumber (cucumber salad with sweet and sour dressing). We continued with Berkshire-Duroc Pork Soup Dumplings (6 pcs of savory soup dumplings filled with Berkshire-Duroc ground pork). Spicy Beef Pancake Roll (grilled pancake roll stuffed with shredded lettuce, beef, and our spicy house sauce). And Beef-Stew Noodle Soup ("a perfect orchestration of tender stewed beef, a rich beef broth, fresh noodles, blanched lettuce and garnished with crisp local green onions. The combination of all these elements come together flawlessly to create a balanced bowl of comforting deliciousness"). What I loved: The cucumber was my favorite of the four selections we made, easily followed by the beef-stew noodle soup. Why I loved it: Quick food, tasty and savory, hitting the spot. Cost: Average to high
